How To Do Tricks On A Race Or Tournament
First of all, on tournament, to get in first place get alot of points - don't speed your way through.

When you go up a ramp and your in the air press:

Down, Up = Method
Down, Left = 360 Japan Air
Right, Down = Tail Grab

Tricks above are worth 5 points in tournament mode.

Left = Indy
Right = Indy
Up= Stale Fish
Down = Stale Fish

These points are worth 3 points.

Note: In race mode to win you have to finish in 1st place!
