Unlock Carbuncle
To unlock Carbuncle, you must defeat him at the end of the HaraHara Course. To make him appear, you must clear the HaraHara Course by entering Fever Mode less than 4 times or more than 12 times. (If you do not meet these standards, Popoi will show up instead.) Once you defeat him, Carbuncle will be selectable in Free Battle and Double Puyo Pop.

Unlock Popoi
To unlock Ms. Accord's cat, Popoi, you must defeat him at the end of the WakuWaku Course. He will then be selectable in the Free Battle and Double Puyo Pop modes.
