1- Hatching

--------------------

The first thing you have to do when you first enter the Chao Garden is Hatch your
eggs. Hatching your eggs is simple. You can choose up to 3 ways of hatching your
eggs. Of course the way you hatch it can change it's personality and depending the
way you hatch your Chao depend weather it will like you or not.

One way would be my favorite way ^-^ Pick up the egg and nuzzle it for about 2 to 4
seconds. ( For beginners to nuzzle the egg you must pick it up still holding
the 'b' button and move the control stick in any direction ) it looks like your
shaking the egg.

Another way would be a cruel way if you ask me. Any ways just pick it up and throw
it against the wall. Your Chao would come out flying (also in pain) out of the egg.

Finally Just wait for it to hatch (suggesting you put it in a safe area- like away
from the water) although this takes a little longer than the other 2 ways. It's
your choice -.-

____________________________________________________________________________________
---------------------------------------

2- Raising

--------------------

After hatching your Chao, you can name it. Take it to the Fortune-Teller's house
(which you can find in the Chao kindergarten) and either create a custom name or
let the Fortune-Teller decide a name for your new born Chao. If at any time you
want to change the name of your Chao, just go back to the Fortune-Teller's house
and re-name it.

After naming your Chao there is much to do in raising your Chao. You can feed it
nuts (which you can find in the Chao garden) But don't over feed it, or it'll have
a tummy-ach. (for beginners to feed your Chao pick up a fruit or nut and get close
enough to your Chao- your Chao will take the fruit and begin munching it)Your Chao
will begin to bond with you a littler more.

Bonding with your Chao is simple. One- Never throw or hurt your Chao (that includes
letting it drown in the water). Two giving it enough time (don't make it feel
jealous by spending too much time with another Chao). Three Nuzzle or pet it every
once in a while. Of course if you don't follow at least 1 of the 3 tips your Chao
will begin to dislike you more and more.

When your Chao starts sneezing or acting weird it could be that it is sick. Take it
to the doctor, and he will give it some medicine to cure the sickness.

----------

Your Chaos’s mood is an important part of raising your Chao.

Exclamation Mark: Your Chao is excited about something! They might have seen
something new, or they might be having a good day. Usually this means your Chao is
in a good mood.

Question Mark: Your Chao might be confused about something or just curious about
something.

Swirl: Your Chao is upset about something, it could be that it was hurt or was
bothered while sleeping or even tripped while running or walking.

Heart: Your Chao is enjoying something, loving it. This is usually shown when
petted your Chao.

A Normal Ball: your Chao is content. Not happy, sad, nor tired.

The Chao ball is not the only indication of the Chaos’s different moods. There are
other signs or actions a Chao can perform that can indicate a different mood. Your
Chaos’s way of acting can show some Moods or Actions.

Laying down with eyes closed: your Chao is sleeping, don't bother it

Jumping up and down laughing: your chaos’s bond with you is strong it practically
loves you, pet it or nuzzle it

Rubbing against your Character: Your Chao is spoiled and wants more attention
(usally i ingore it when it does this it would be the right thing to do, but then
it would start jumping and laughing.

Crying: your Chao is very upset, if its hungry feed it, if it isn't then pet it and
nuzzle it.

4- Gardens

--------------------

A garden is place where your Chao can stay. There are 3 Gardens (duh -_-) The
Gardens Are the only place to keep your Chao.

----------

Chao Garden

----------

The fists Garden you will ever see is the Chao Garden, a Prefect place for Neutral
and Baby Chaos. This Garden is the Center of most things. From this garden you
hatch your first 2 eggs, and access the Chao Races and Chao karate. There are a few
trees that grow nuts, as well as a bunch of cliffs with a pouring waterfall that
hides a cave.

----------

Hero Garden

----------

The Hero garden ( my favorite Garden ^-^ ) To unlock this garden you must raise a
Hero Chao. This garden contains a big pool with floating castles and objects
everywhere and there's a cute little fountain ( ^.^ ). This Garden is more angel
like. Hero Chaos loves it there best.

----------

Dark

----------

The Dark garden ( eek ^-^ look at the cute devils! ) To unlock this garden you must
Raise a Dark Chao. This Garden is the opposite of the hero garden. It's pool is
tainted red (looks like blood MUAHA- I’m joking) There's dead trees and a couple of
graves here and there. This would be a Dark Chaos’s Dream!

____________________________________________________________________________________
----------------------------------------

5- Mating

----------

Mating your Chao! ( ^.^ yay ) In oder to mate your Chao You chao must be an adult
and MUST have eaten a heart fruit ( it cost 300 rings in the Black Market ) Soon
after your chao will sit happily while flowers grow around it and your Chao will
happily wait for some one to mate with. Just set another adult Chao ( the one you
want to mate with ) next to the other Chao ( make sure it's inside the 'circle' of
flowers. Then just watch as an egg pops from the ground!

----------------------------------------

6- Chao Evolutions
