Hi, and welcome to my new Sonic Adventure: Big FAQ.
This FAQ is all about big, everything about him is in
this FAQ. Need help with a stage? Cant fined his upgrades?
Just read. This FAQ also covers Sega Dreamcast, Nintendo
GameCube and PC versions because its the same thing on
all of them. Have fun.

----------ABOUT BIG----------

Big is a big fat cat, it is his first time in Sonic games.
His stages are easy and fun to play, just fish in every stage
for you pal Froggy and youre done. After that you may want to
finish mission B or C or just go to the next stage.
As you play you may get a better lure to catch bigger fish and
get better rank.
Big's story:
Big lives with his pal Froggy, very thing was cool until one
night when big was a sleep his pal was attacked by Chaos and
transformed....

----------CONTROLS-----------

WHEN MOVING:
Analog-pad: move big around.
A: Jump.
B: Lure attack/Carry objects/Cast.
X: Lure attack/Carry objects/Cast.
Y: Carry objects.
L: Rotate camera.
R: Rotate camera.
Start: Pause.
WHEN CARYING:
Analog-pad: move big around.
A: Jump.
B: Put down if stopped/throw if moving.
X: Put down if stopped/throw if moving.
Y: Put down if stopped/throw if moving.
L: Rotate camera.
R: Rotate camera.
Start: Pause.
FISHING MODE:
To star a fishing mode hold the B/X, a cursor will
appear. Move it over youre target and release B/X.
Press down on the analog-pad as soon as the fish or
froggy bites, if your timing was right the fishing
mode will start.
Analog-pad: Tugging the rod.
A: Reel in quickly.
B: Reel in slowly.
X: Reel in slowly.
Y: N/A
L: Rotate camera.
R: Rotate camera.
L+R: Pull the rod from the water.
Start: Pause.

Station Square
After the cut-scene is over you will be in Station Square,
go to the sewer behind the Twinkle Park elevator and get
your first rod upgrade. Now go to the other part of the city
and you will see froggy go under the car to the sewer. Move
the car and drop down. Get to the elevator, when up follow the
path to your first stage, Twinkle Park.
Twinkle Park
This stage is vary easy, there is only one place where Froggy
may be, it's in the park's pool. In no time you will catch
him in this small pool.
Station Square
After youre done and the cut-scene is over get the ice key
behind the Twinkle Park elevator and go to the train station
and take the rain to the Mystic Ruins.
Mystic Ruins
Get off the station and go to the first cave. Go and let the wind
carry you. Now go to the ice door and use the ice key. After that
go inside and get the Life Belt. Now go up the ladder to your second
stage.
IceCap
At the start pick up the rock and throw it on the ice to break it.
Now fish until you get Froggy.
Mystic Ruins
You must go back to Station Square, but it's time to get the rod
upgrades in the jungle. Get them (see UPGRADES for locations).
Now go to the train station and get back to Station Square.
Station Square
Go to the hotel and to the beech. Go to Emerald Coast.
Emerald Coast
As you start kill all the enemies and follow the path on the left
to the end, Froggy should be swimming somewhere on the right.
Float on the water if you need to get closer.
Emerald Coast
After you catch him a cut-scene will show that Gamma will steal
Froggy and run, you will follow him to the Egg Carrier.
Egg Carrier
As soon as the cut-scene ends you will see three doors, first go
through the door on the right, now go through the other door. In
the first prison cell you will see the rod upgrade, to get it
push the switch and the cell will open, now get back and go
through the middle door into your next stage, the Hot Shelter.
Hot Shelter
As you get off the elevator follow the path to the door, go
through. Again follow the long path to the door. In this room
go to the centre and push the switch. The room will be full of
water. See that tunnel on the left? Swim to it and go through it,
now swim up and go through the tunnel. In this room get on the
metal container. You must pull the water plug by aiming your cursor
on the plug in the middle of the room. Aim carefully and you will
do it. After youre done the water will go down; now get back through
the tunnels to the room. Now Froggy will be swimming around. Fined
him and catch him.
Hot Shelter
After you end the stage Tikal light will transfer you to the past
of Angel Island.
Angel Island
Go forward and you will see Tikal, after a short cut-scene you
will be back in the Egg Carrier.
Egg Carrier
Use the monorail to get up. Now make your way to the upper part
of the ship and go to where Chaos is.
Chaos Fight
Get Froggy out of chaos by aiming at the red target by him, thats it.
Egg Carrier
Jump on Tails plane. Youre done.

Life Belt: Icecap cave.
Go to the first cave in Mystic Ruins and up to the ice cave.
The life belt will be on the left side before the water pool.
Now you can float on the water, to get down hold A, to get back
up release A.
Lure power-ups:
1. In city's sewer behind the Twinkle Park elevator.
2. Go down from the ladder to the jungle and turn right,
keep going until you come to a man that says he left his wife
in Station Square and he miss her, from him go forward a little
and on your right will be a cave. Get it here.
3. In the Icecap zone, get down where you fish for Froggy and
follow the tunnel. Now get out and you should see a rock, throw
it on the ice next to it and dive in.
4. In the first cell on the Egg Carrier.
Now you can catch bigger fish.
Power Rod: In the jungle.
Under big's bed in the jungle.
Now you can aim for longer distains.

You can get up to 18 emblems when playing as Big,
here are all the types that will get you the emblems:

1. Stages

Every stage got 3 missions, etch one gets you an emblem.
3 in total in every stage total.
First Mission:
Catch Frogy!
2nd Mission:
Catch +1000g fish and Frogy!
3rd Mission:
Catch +2000g fish and Frogy!
Note: To finish the 2nd and 3rd missions you need to get all Big's
Upgrades (See Upgrades).

1. Twinkle Park

The only place to fish in this stage is the pool.
Look for the metal fish to get the 2nd and 3rd emblems.

2. Ice Cap
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spot 1:
At the start of the stage use the rock to break the ice.
Spot 2:
get down where you fish for Froggy and follow the tunnel.
Now get out and you should see a rock, throw it on the ice
next to it.
The +1000/2000g fish could be anywhere so look in all the stage.
The sharped nose fishes could be it.

3. Emerald Coast

Spot 1:
All the stage.
Spot 2:
From the start go Hint ball that says there is a secret passage somewhere,
after that turn to the left and you should see a circle lagoon with a
mountain inside it, drop at the bottom and you should see a passage,
enter it and you will get to the secret spot.
The +1000/2000g fish may be in the secret spot.

4. Hot Shelter

Spot 1:
Where you catch frogy.
Spot 2:
After the room that you catch frogy in there is a door that will
open after you pull the water plug. Go in it and you will come to
another fishing spot. You have to break the glass with you lure first.

Q: For what system was this FAQ made?
A: It covers Sega Dreamcast, GameCube and PC.
Q2: Whats the deferens between all the versions and witch one is the best?
A2: I have played all the versions and they all look the same except for
Some small differences. Get PC version for Modin, otherwise get
Dreamcast or GameCube version.
Q3: Isnt there an easer way for catching fish?
A3: Sadly no, just keep trying and you will get there.
