To quickly find what you want, punch the name of the vehicle into the 
ctrl-F find function. It's not a big guide, so it won't take long to 
find.


Section 1 - Basic Info

Before we get started, please know my writing style is very blunt. This 
is my first guide & I'm still dialling it in. I don't care if people 
don't like it, it gets the job done. Also know that untill I say 
otherwise, this is still unfinished. If there is a vehicle that isn't 
here or you want other info relating to this guide that I may have left 
out, or have any corrections, drop me a line at [email protected]. 
I will only accept emails relating to this guide if you say so in the 
subject line. If you spam me or send hate mail, I will print it out & 
laugh at it, before setting it alight & erasing your name from existence. 
Moving on.

Now, If you don't get a response straight away, don't think it's not 
coming, but as some will appreciate, my work commitments come first. Then 
my friends. Then clubbing. You get the idea.


	LEGAL

Look, I know most of you are cool. But there are some of us that rip crud 
off of others & pass that info on as their own. This guide took me quite 
a while to make, so please, if you use it, give me the credit. I don't 
care if you copy it for your own personal use, as long as you keep it 
personal. The only sites allowed to use this guide are GameFAQS & 
supercheats (so far. Ifyou want it for your site, send me an email & I'll 
decide on a case by case basis.) If anyone sees it on any other website, 
please let me know, okay?


	QUICK GUIDE LEGEND

All cars can be fitted with nitrous, strengthened bumpers, strengthened 
chassis & stronger tyres. However, only certain cars (& trucks, really) 
can be fitted with the other upgrades. Likewise, the only visual mod 
available on all vehicles is colour changing. Motorbikes can only get 
the default 4 as mentioned above, planes, 'copters & boats cannot be 
modified at all.

Here is he format I will be using:

Name of vehicle (C)

Make - The Real world equivilent (If appropriate)

Mods - Brief description of what you can do with it.

Rating - What I think of it out of 10. Anything 7 or above is pretty 
darn good.

Thoughts - My opinion on the vehicle, which are obviously important 
as you're reading this.

Anything with a (C) next to the name as above indicates it is wanted 
at a certain chop shop. I shouldn't have to explain which one, you can 
find that out for yourself surely. Anything with the capacity to hold 
four people is a real plus in my book, as you can carry extra more 
support into missions. Planes, choppers & boats are not mentioned 
because it is completely random what you find & where, plus they 
can't be modded. Land vehicle names are in alphabetical order, also 
note that one off vehicles are NOT listed (such as the gang "boss" 
cars), as they are obtained automatically.

Attrazione (C)

Make - Lamborghini Diablo

Location - Rounds Square Shopping Mall (location of mission Shopping 
Maul & a Stronghold)

Mods - Pretty much whatever you want

Rating - 8/10

Thoughts - My second favourite supercar, plus is always available IN 
the shopping mall, so you can get one right from the start. Brilliant!

Baron

Make - 40's English luxury car (either a Bugatti or a Bentley, can't 
easily tell)

Location - Rare, but on the Northern Island

Mods - Not too much

Rating - 7/10

Thoughts - Very pomp & circumstance. Easiest way to find one is to 
set your, ugh, "homies", to drive them from your HQ. (This only works 
if you've unlocked the second tier of gang customisation cars through 
game progression.)

Bezier (C)

Make - Koenigseggseggseggseggseggseggabbaviking CCX without the Top 
Gear Wing

Location - Can be found in Saints Row & Downtown areas most easily

Mods - Pretty much whatever you want

Rating - 10/10

Thoughts - Every persons garage should have at least 1 (I have 3!) 
In my experience, the fastest car in the game. (By the way, I've 
since trimmed that back to 2, I'm not greedy.)

Bootlegger

Make - 1970 Chevelle

Location - Literally everywhere except for Saints Row

Mods - Muscle car mods

Rating - 8/10

Thoughts - Best muscle car in the game hands down. Fast, terrific 
handling & mild tolerance for punishment makes a solid addition 
for any garage. Very easy to find as well, which makes it even
 better.

Make - Old school Cadillac

Location - Top half of South Island, so Red light, projects, etc.

Mods - Very intricate stuff indeed

Rating - 7/10

Thoughts - One of the better looking cars when modded (but please, 
no fins okay?) Great potential with the paintwork & body mods.

Make - '64 Impala

Location - Pretty much anywhere, most common around Red Light 
areas, (can easily obtain in 2nd mission 'Appointed Defender' 
as it appears in the parking lot when you exit the bar)

Mods - Lowrider stuff. Hydraulics, fuzzy dice, etc.

Rating - 7/10

Thoughts - Fantastic looks, otherwise pretty useless. But if you 
cut its head off you can fit 2 more people in the back making it 
useful (if slow) for missions.

Make - Not sure, guessing '96 Impala (I don't know American cars 
that well)

Location - Pretty much anywhere, most common on Northern Island

Mods - Uninspiring stuff, but has the poential to look really cool 
if you 
have the right look in mind.

Rating - 7/10

Thoughts - A great starting car, but outlives its usefullness 
pretty quickly. Not fast at all, but tough.

Make - Buick Boat-tail

Location - Everywhere

Mods - Meh

Rating - 3/10

Thoughts - In my opinion, the ugliest & most useless car in the 
game by far. The Novelty of the Batmobile style exhaust wears 
off after a couple of minutes & is utterly hopeless.

Make - Lexus Is350

Location - Downtown mainly

Mods - Luxury car stuff

Rating - 7/10

Thoughts - Not as good as the Socialite, but definately a must 
have car. Is a reward for the free range mission 'Revelation'.

Make - 40's Mercury

Location - Anywhere

Mods - Old school rodding stuff

Rating - 4/10

Thoughts - Slower then a game of Trivial Pursuit at the Bush 
residence, but not as painful. Can be made to look pretty cool.

Make - Police car

Location - Anywhere

Mods - Paint, rims & bonnet

Rating - 8/10

Thoughts - Get one of these, flick on the blues and two's & 
just watch the traffic part as you come screaming by.

Make - By the looks of it, a late 90's Civic

Location - Around the Barrio usually

Mods - Mild tuner

Rating - 5/10

Thoughts - Fairly quick, but easy to make it look hideous 
with the broad gammut of tuning options. Can't take a 
bullet either.

Make - New Mini

Location - Arena, Downtown, Barrio, alot of places 
actually, just not that common

Mods - Mild tuner

Rating - 7/10

Thoughts - As my friends know, I think the new Mini is the 
biggest load of tripe ever set fourth into the world by 
BMW. Before anyone says anything, yes I have driven it. 
Anyway, not the point. Point is I actually like this car 
in the game, so go figure.

Make - 1972 Plymouth Hemicuda

Location - South Island, around the middle

Mods - Again, old school muscle stuff

Rating - 7/10

Thoughts - Marginally slower then the Bootlegger, & not 
quite as pretty. Still, a great choice.

Hayate Z70

Make - By the looks of it, a current VW Beetle? Or maybe 
a 350z, hard to tell.

Location - North Island is rife with the things

Mods - Depends on your tastes

Rating - 6/10

Thoughts - Quick & ugly. Front wheel drive hampers 
steering a bit & it's a two seater. Can be fun though.

Make - Mid 50's Chev

Location - Just about everywhere

Mods - Typical old car affair

Rating - 6/10

Thoughts - Slow, but looks alright. Four doors help 
with taking backup on missions.

Make - New Rolls Royce Silver Phantom

Location - Suburbs expansion (takes a while though)

Mods - Classy stuff mostly

Rating - 8/10

Thoughts - A white one with chrome wheels, perfect. A 
wonderful car only really hampered by its scarcity. 
Very fast for a luxury car, easily tolerable handling 
& wonderful looks.

Make - Nissan Stagea

Location - North Island

Mods - Mild tuner kits

Rating - 7/10 

Thoughts - Very useful, if not that fast. (Inherent due 
to the fact that the Stagea models always weighed much 
more than the Skylines they shared platforms with.)

Make - 70's El Camino

Location - Factories & Barrio areas mostly

Mods - Not terribly innovative stuff, most of the look 
comes from the paintwork

Rating - 5/10 

Thoughts - Not really all that useful, I mostly keep 
them for their looks alone.

Make - Current model Mustang

Location - Saints Row, North Island (occasionally)

Mods - Pretty standard stuff, but you can make it 
convertible (if you like that sort of thing)

Rating - 6/10 

Thoughts - Not as fast as the Phoenix, doesn't sound 
as good & is harder to find. I usually don't bother.

Make - '00 Honda Civic Type R

Location - North Island around the mall usually

Mods - Light tuner mods, bodykits, etc.

Rating - 8/10

Thoughts - Fun & fast just like the real thing. 
Better then you might think.

Location - North Island around the mall usually

Mods - Standard bodykits & such

Thoughts - Great car with or without the roof.

Location - Let's see, Chinatown is your best bet

Mods - Muscle car stuff mainly (but no wheelie bars 
as they are not in the game)

Thoughts - A good car with a great soundtrack.

Make - McMerc SLR (or Dodge Viper with the right front 
end . . .)

Location - North Island

Mods - Simple work

Rating - 7/10 

Thoughts - Fast, but not as fast as the other supercars. 
Can take more of a hit though.

Location - North Island mostly

Mods - Some, not much. Mostly death themed stuff

Location - Apartments, Downtown & Saints Row

Mods - Pretty much whatever you want including race livery

Rating - 9/10 

Thoughts - Arguably the best four door car in the game. 
Fast, tough & gorgeous with dark red metallic paint & 
chrome rims.

Make - Limosuine

Location - East side of North Island or around the Airport

Mods - Paint & wheels

Rating - 4/10

Thoughts - Pretty much what you expect from a limosuine. 
Slow & cumbersome but can take a hit.

Location - Red Light areas

Mods - Pretty cool actually

Rating - 5-7/10

Thoughts - Not much chop with a roof. Get rid of it though, 
& it's a nimble little four seater with (potentially) 
killer looks.

Location - Northern Saints Row district (near Ultor HQ)

Mods - Pretty much whatever you want including race livery

Rating - 7/10

Thoiughts - The second of Lamborghini's representative's. 
Fast, but kind of ugly.

Location - Absolutely everywhere

Mods - Similar to the Five-0

Rating - 5/10

Thoiughts - Same as the Five-0 but much slower. Stick 
with the other one.

Location - Alot of areas

Mods - Old school supercar stuff

Rating - 7/10

Thoiughts - great handling, good speed, plus it's a 
Ferrari. What else is there?

Thoiughts - A good litle supercar, with the best 
handling of them all (well, that's Lotus for you.)

Location - If you're patient, around the Arena or 
Projects

Mods - Tuner stuff

Rating - 7/10

Thoiughts - Fast, & fairly nimble to boot. Just don't 
know about the tail light surrounds though.

Thoiughts - This is actually very good. Holds four, fairly 
nimble, plus it looks fantastic with a new bodykit & 
eyelids for the headlights all painted black. Get one & 
see for yourself.

Make - Aston Martin V12 Vanquish

Location - Saints Row & Marina areas

Mods - Standard supercar stuff

Rating - 7/10

Thoughts - Arguably the best looking car in the game besides 
the Bezier, not that fast though. Unfortunatley, it has the 
same supercar drawbacks as well, namely two doors & twitchy 
handling.

Make - Nissan Pulsar?

Location - Pretty much anywhere you see a car

Mods - More then it's bigger brother the Cosmos

Rating - 5/10

Thoughts - Meh. Four doors are pretty much the height of it.

Make - Looks like a '92 Lotus Carlton to me

Location - Suburbs area mostly

Mods - Heavy tuner stuff. Wide body kits, grill inserts, 
etc.

Rating - 8/10

Thoughts - A really good car. Not as fast as the Socialite, 
but with better handling. Plus the fact it's a four door 
really helps it along too.

Location - Apartments area only

Mods - Subtle, good looking stuff

Rating - 8/10

Thoughts - My pick for second best four door.

Kenshin

Make - Honda Fireblade 1000

Location - Just about anywhere

Mods - Interestin fairing combo's

Rating - 9/10

Thoughts - The best bike in the game by far (aside from 
maybe the one off Kaneda). Fast, great handling & with 
looks to die for (especially in a silver/black colour 
scheme.)

Make - Old school Harley

Location - South Island between the Uni & Barrio areas

Mods - Quite alot actually

Rating - 7/10

Thoughts - Actually very good. The only thing that holds 
it back is it's inherent low speed. Aside from that, it's 
good at everything else. An alternative if you're sick of 
the race bike & want something else then.

Location - From Saints Row to he Slums, just about anywhere 
on the South Island

Mods - Pretty interesting stuff

Rating - 4/10

Thoughts - Slow & with woeful handling. Only plus side is 
the modding potential.

Location - Apartments district right through to the 
factories area

Mods - What you'd expect, fenders & seats mostly

Rating - 6/10

Thoughts - Not too bad, but how many times would you 
really pick a dirt bike over a race bike in the city? 
Exactly.

Make - BMW Touring bike

Location - South Island around Red Light areas

Mods - Not too much

Rating - 7/10

Thoughts - Fairly good, looks best as a naked tourer 
though.

Make - Honda/Suzuki 600?

Location - Just about anywhere

Mods - Not that many honestly

Rating - 6/10

Thoughts - A smaller version of the Kenshin? No. Smaller, 
slower & uglier then I don't know what with the single 
large headlight option which is really popular with 
people that are hard of sight because they don't have to 
look at it.

Make - 52 Vespa scooter

Location - Scattered around the South Island

Mods - Stuff all really

Rating - 3/10

Thoughts - I'm assuming it got it's name because when 
women took it home, thier husbands took one look & died 
laughing. Emergency transport only.

Section 4 - Buses, Trucks & SUV's

Alaskan (C)

Make - Four door off road utility of some sort

Location - Deep south

Mods - Off road stuff mainly

Rating - 6/10

Thoughts - Slow, but tough. Not neccessarily beautiful, 
but it gets the job done.

Ambulance (C)

Make - An ambulance

Location - Anywhere, call 911 on your in game phone to 
get one delivered. Works in real life too!(Well, in 
America anyway, we get 000.)

Mods - Paint & rims

Rating - 5/10

Thoughts - Slow & heavy. Siren's a plus though. (see Five-O
section for details.)

Bear

Make - Military APC

Location - Anywhere when you annoy the Rozzer's badly enough

Mods - Paint & rims mostly

Rating - 8/10

Thoughts - Not the guys who have a disturbing fondness for 
too much leather, but the big & ugly APC. A definate must 
for any garage. Easiest way to get is to do a hostage 
diversion, the police use them for roadblocks in that 
scenario. Strongest vehicle you can find, quite fast when 
it wants to be & has an inbuilt swivelling machinegun with 
bottomless clip & no need to reload.

Make - 30's truck

Location - Arena to Saints Row

Mods - Much like the Ethel

Rating - 6/10

Thoughts - Surprisingly, this is better then the Ethel, 
which defies logic. Anyway, fairly well paced, good 
handling and can look pretty cool.

Make - Hummer H1

Location - University & Apartments mostly, but some have 
migrated to the north island

Mods - Utilitarian stuff mainly

Rating - 7/10

Thoughts - Slow but tough as overcooked steak, you can't 
kill this thing with a big stick. I tried, believe me.

Make - Large bus

Location - Museum district

Mods - Wheels, decals & colours

Rating - 4/10

Thoughts - Very slow, but handles surprisingly well.

Compensator

Make - Ford F350 or Dodge Ram, you choose

Location - Factories & Barrio areas mostly

Mods - Alot

Rating - 6/10

Thoughts - They got the name spot on for this one. It 
definately compensates for anything you might be lacking. 
Tough as beans & actually moves at a respectable pace 
(once you build up steam) for something that weighs north 
of 15 tonnes.

Delivery Truck (C)

Make - Are you prepared for this? A delivery truck!

Location - Saints Row

Mods - Not much

Rating - 3/10

Thoughts - Slow. If you want a truck like this, get the 
Mule. It's faster & easier to find.

DonoVan

Make - Small school bus

Location - North Island

Mods - More then you think

Rating - 5/10

Thoughts - Utterly useless because you can't possibly 
fill it completelywith backup. In that reguard, why 
would you pick it over something like a Socialite then? 
Short answer: you wouldn't. Cool spoiler though.

Make - Old school Ford F150

Location - Pretty much anywhere on the South Island except 
for the well to do areas

Mods - Off roading

Rating - 8/10

Thoughts - My favourite off roader, even if it does look 
like the north end of a south bound camel. Butt ugly but 
brilliant, seats four, mods permiting.

Longhauler (C)

Make - Cab over dump or cement truck

Location - What starts out controlled by the Brotherhood 
usually is the best place to look

Mods - Fart & it's over

Rating - 2/10

Thoughts - Arguably the most useless vehicle in the game. 
Slow, ugly & can't take a hit to save itself, literally.

Make - Cadillac Escalade Pickup

Location - Projects

Mods - Bodykits mostly, but more intricate then the 
Thoroughgood

Rating - 8/10

Thoughts - Why on earth is this thing so hard to find? The 
only way I've ever found one for myself is to bring up the 
chop shop picture so then it registers on the map. Still 
takes a long time to find though, but worth it. As fast as 
the F150 Thoroughgood for some reason, but it's a four door.

Mule

Make - Anoher Delivery Truck

Location - Truckyard, Barrio, around there

Mods - A little bodywork

Rating - 4/10

Thoughts - The best of the delivery trucks. But really 
that's like saying that herpes is the best of the STI's. 
Moving on.

Nordberg

Make - GMC SUV of some sort

Location - Either near the mall on the top Island or arround 
Chinatown

Mods - A little bodywork

Rating - 6/10

Thoughts - Good choice. Not a great one, but tolerable. Bit 
on the sluggish side though.

Peacekeeper (C)

Make - Armoured S.W.A.T van

Location - Saints Row

Mods - Colours, that's it

Rating - 4/10

Thoughts - Very slow, can only hold one passenger. Solid 
though.

Peterliner

Make - 70's Peterbuilt semi

Location - factories area & most of the Highway loop

Mods - Standard truck stuff really

Rating - 4/10

Thoughts - It looks big & imposing for sure, but why in the 
name of Thor's Banjo did they make it front wheel drive? That's 
like giving Megan Fox a beard for crying out loud!

Make - Towtruck

Location - Barrio usually

Mods - Basic truck stuff

Rating - 5/10

Thoughts - Slow, but not the worst vehicle in game. Plus you 
can tow away other people's cars (which is really funny, 
epecially when they're still in them!)

Swindle (C)

Make - 100 series Toyota off roader -or- 

Location - Uni to Airport

Mods - Off roading stuff mostly

Rating - 6/10

Thoughts - Looks great in Yellow with black trim & off road 
tyres (like Richard Hammond's in the TG South America 
special.) Otherwise, the Legion is better for actual off 
roading in the game.

The Job

Make - Stretched Hummer H2

Location - Saints Row or Marina district

Mods - Barely much at all really

Rating - 3/10

Thoughts - You want a big imposing vehicle that can carry 
alot of friends? Get a bus.

Thoroughgood

Make - Ford SVT Lightning F150 (there are probably other 
words to add as well, but I don't care)

Location - Most places

Mods - Bodykits mostly

Rating - 7/10

Thoughts - Fast for a pickup, & not so ugly as to make 
you cry if you see one. Kind of rough handling though, 
especially if you use the handbrake alot like I do.

Make - Armoured truck

Location - Saints Row mostly

Mods - Colours & wheels

Rating - 3/10

Thoughts - Pallete swapped Peacekeeper but without the 
sirens.

Varsity (C)

Make - Early 90's Toyota Hilux

Location - Most places

Mods - Lowrider ute stuff

Rating - 5/10

Thoughts - Looks cool as a lowrider ute. Aside from 
that, meh.(Only problem is you can't actually lower 
the sodden thing.)

Atlasbreaker

Make - Dodge Monster Truck

Location - Southern most part of the map that isn't 
related 
to the airport. Usually around the seaport.

Mods - Colours, that's it

Rating - 5/10

Thoughts - Surprisingly rubbish actually. Aside from 
the shear P.O factor of owning one, it's not that great. 
Can't even run over any blasted cars that well. If a 
monster truck can't even do that, then what's the point 
of owning the ruddy thing?

Make - Pretty obvious I should think

Location - Barrio to Saints Row

Mods - Colours, that's it

Rating - 4/10

Thoughts - Why on earth would anyone want this from 
a chop shop? Well, reguardless, it's on the list, 
so . . .

Make - Airport luggage handler

Location - Where do you find an airport vehicle I 
wonder?

Mods - Not much at all really

Rating - 5/10

Thoughts - Quite spritely, if top heavy. Can tip over
