Chao info for beginners - Guide for Sonic Adventure 2 Battle

Hi i'm H.A.C.!  This is my first FAQ.

So you go in the chao garden for the first time and you're like "WHAT THE HECK IS 
THIS!?!?"  Here's what you need to know...

                             1.Chaos Drives and Animals

So you do a level and see shiny things come out of robots.  Those are chaos drives, 
used for making chao stronger.  They come in 4 different colors (red, green, yellow 
and purple).  In the chao garden give them to your chao.  Here's a chart...
Red=     power
Yellow=  swim
Purple=  fly
Green=   run

Also you might see little animals running around in levels, they're animals.  
They're like chaos drives,  but can make them stronger in more than 1 way, + they 
can make chao weaker.  Also in pyramid levels you can get animals from a little 
green bubble in robots.  Here's a list of all animals...

                       2. Abilities and personalities

    Does your chao cry alot?  Or, is it always happy?  On-the-go?  It's the 
personality.  Take your chao to kindergarten.  Go in the chao docter room.  
Say "medical chart" and press "R".  It says your chao's personality; crybaby, 
curious, energetic, carefree, naive--- or nothing!  Also it says your chao's 
favorite fruit; round, square or triangle fruit. Alot of my chao like triangle fruit 
or round fruit.

   If your chao transforms (see chapter 4) and you go to the medical chart (don't 
press "R"), it says your chao's ability based on the chaos drives/animals it got.  
If you only give it 1 type (you know, like run) it will look very different-like it 
could look like Shadow if you only give it run stuff and give it dark fruits (see 
next chapter) in the process.  The doctor can tell you alot about your chao.

                                3. Black Market

    Go to kindergarten and in the black door.  Here is the black market---where you 
buy stuff for your chao using rings.  +, the more emblems u get, the more stuff is 
at the black market.

Hero fruit---
Give a bunch to your chao and they will become a hero.     

Dark fruit---
Give a bunch to your chao and they will become a dark chao.

Heart fruit---
Give one to 2 chao who have transformed (see next chapter) and if they both grow 
flowers around them, put them together.  They will have an egg!!!

Chao egg---
Take it to a chao garden and a chao the color of the egg will hatch.

Headgear---
Give your chao a skeleton dog, then headgear.  They will put it on!!!

Round/Triangle/Square fruit---
Give your chao the one they like (see chapter 2) and it'll be happy.  Give it one 
they don't like and he won't eat it.

Chao fruit---
Makes all your chao's stats go up.

Mushroom---
Really no point; it's just food.

                              4.Transformations

Are you dissatisfied with you're chao's coolness?  Not to worry---
Just pick a type...
1.normal
2.hero
3.dark

...And an ability...
1.run
2.swim
3.fly
4.power

...And you got a cool chao!!!

                            STEPS IN DETAIL

1. Get a color you like.  NOTE: If you get a normal blue chao it will change color.

2. Decide a type and an ability. 

3. If you chose hero, only spend time with it and give it chaos drives and animals 
with hero characters.  Other way around with dark chao.  For a normal chao, spend 
time with it w/ hero + dark equally.

4. During #3, only give it chaos drives/animals of the ability you want.

5. After lots of waiting your chao will go in a blue cocoon and come out how you 
want it.

URGENT NOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Always treat your chao good!
Why?
When chao turn 5 (in chao years) they either go in a pink or white/grey cocoon.  
They go in pink if they are treated good.  They will come out as an egg.
In white, it means they where treated badly.  They will come out --- not at all, 
they died.
THAT'S WHY YOU SHOULD TREAT YOUR CHAO GOOD!!!
