This guide will tell you the advantages and disadvantages of some of the characters. Ephraim (Lord) - uses lance stronger than Eirika, bested by axes, bests swords, changes with solar brace, becomes great lord. ____________________________________________________________________Ephraim (Great Lord) - uses lance, beats swords, cavalier, bested by axes zanbatos, horseslayers, and halberds. ____________________________________________________________________ Eirika (Lord) - uses swords, faster than Ephraim, bested by lance, bests axe, changes class with lunar brace, becomes great lord. ____________________________________________________________________ Eirika (Great lord) - uses swords, cavalier, and bests axes, bested by lances, zanbatos, horseslayers, and halberds. ____________________________________________________________________ Cavalier - uses lances and swords, recommend lances, cavalier, can change at level 10 with knights crest, can become great knight or paladin. ____________________________________________________________________ Great Knight - uses lances, swords, and axes, strong armor, cavalier, good aid, movement is decent, cannot change class. ____________________________________________________________________ Paladin - uses lances and swords, recomend lances, has great movement, bested by zanbato, horseslayer, rapier, Reginleif, and halberd, this class becomes very useful in a tight spot, cannot change class. ____________________________________________________________________ Knight - uses lances, has heavy and strong armor, has high con, has low movement, hard to kill, bested by Armorslayer, rapiers, Reginleif, hammer, and heavy spear, changes with knights crest, can become general or great knight ____________________________________________________________________ General - uses lances, this class is like a living wall, extremely strong armor, low movement, very high con, bested by Armorslayer, rapiers, Reginleif, hammer, and heavy spear, has the skill great shield, cannot change form. ____________________________________________________________________ Journeymen - uses axes, only one in the whole game, starts weak then grows, do not let die can become useful, changes at level 10 without crest, can become fighter or pirate, recommend pirate. ____________________________________________________________________ Pirate - uses axes, can move on water, water movement lowers moving space, Use ocean crest, changes to berserker. ____________________________________________________________________ Berserker - uses axes, has a great critical chance, devastating damage, great defense, cannot change class. ____________________________________________________________________ Fighter - use axes, have good attack low defense, can become warrior or hero, change using heroes crest. ____________________________________________________________________ Heroes - use axes and swords, are well balanced, and cant change form. ____________________________________________________________________ Warrior - uses axes and bows, even warriors, great axe skills and a decent bow, cannot change form. ____________________________________________________________________ Myrmidon - have good crit hit ratio, very fast, hard to hit, can become a sword master or an assassin, use heroes crest to change. ____________________________________________________________________ Sword Master - uses sword, a great unit to own, raise the level for an undefeatable fighter, has a high crit ratio, and cannot change class. ____________________________________________________________________ Assassin - uses swords, very fast, decent crit ratio, has the skill silencer, and cannot change class. ____________________________________________________________________ Recruit - use lances, a novice lance wielder, only one in the game, do not let die, change class on level 10, can become a knight or cavalier. ____________________________________________________________________ Pupil - use light magic, a novice magic user, only one in the game, do not let die, hey grow strong and are amazing magic wielders, changes on level 10, can become a mage or shaman. ____________________________________________________________________ Mage - uses anima magic, weak against physical attacks, able to do a lot of damage to knights, and heavy armored units, can become a sage or mage knight, changes with a guiding ring ____________________________________________________________________ Sage - uses anima, light, and staves, is a good unit to have around, can heal and kill, cannot change class. ____________________________________________________________________ Mage Knight - uses anima and staves, cavalier, can heal and fight, cannot change class. ____________________________________________________________________ Summoner - uses dark magic and staves, has a special ability called summon, you can summon a phantom, this unit is dead after one damage, you can only summon one phantom on the map till the other dies ____________________________________________________________________ Druid - uses dark magic, anima magic, and staves, can do a lot of damage, can fight and heal, and cannot change class. ____________________________________________________________________ Shaman - uses dark magic, strong but slow, cant usually attack twice, pupils trained right can, can become druid or Summoner, needs guiding ring and to be level 10 ____________________________________________________________________ Archer - uses bows, can attack from a distance and not close range, has weak armor, can become a sniper or a ranger, can change form with an orions belt. ____________________________________________________________________ Sniper - use bows. the greatest bow users in the game, are hard to kill when trained right, can kill strong monsters at level 16 with an iron bow, and cannot change class, has the skill sure shot. ____________________________________________________________________ Ranger - uses bow and swords, cavalier, good armor, cannot change class. ____________________________________________________________________ Mercenary - uses swords, have a balanced power of offense and defense, can change class to a hero or ranger, need a heroes crest. ____________________________________________________________________ Monk - uses light magic, good against monsters with dark magic and shamans. Can become a devastating unit when made a bishop, can change class to sage or bishop. ____________________________________________________________________ Bishop - uses light magic and staves, has the ability slayer, can become a great unit to have on creature campaign. ____________________________________________________________________ Priest- uses staves, has no combat skill but can heal wounds, gives health to injured units and is a great asset to your team, can become a bishop or sage, needs a guiding ring. ____________________________________________________________________ Cleric - the same as the priest, can change into a Valkyrie or a sage. ____________________________________________________________________ Valkyrie - uses light magic and staves, cavalier, can fight and heal. ____________________________________________________________________ Pegasus Knight - uses lances a flying unit weak against bows, can go over mountains and is a great unit for rescuing others, can become a Falco knight or a wyvern lord, needs an Elysian whip and be level 10. ____________________________________________________________________ Falco Knight - uses lances and swords, flying unit, and is almost the same as the Pegasus knight only way stronger. ____________________________________________________________________ Wyvern Knight - uses lances, has the skill piercing, has good movement, and cant change class. ____________________________________________________________________ Wyvern Rider - the same as a Pegasus knight but is stronger and slower, can change class with an Elysian whip, can become a wyvern knight or wyvern lord. ____________________________________________________________________ Wyvern Lord-can use lances and swords, flying unit, are a good unit and can be good in a tight spot, cannot change class. ____________________________________________________________________ Dancer - a special unit that can refresh your units to let them move again, cant change form. ____________________________________________________________________ Thief-can use a picklock and open chests without keys, weak armor, and change class into a rouge or an assassin, needs an ocean seal. ____________________________________________________________________ Rouge uses skill Pick, uses swords, is bested by axes but bests lances, good armor and attack, and cant change form. SKILLS: Summon - allows the summoning of a phantom with one hp but is the same level as you. Slayer - is a skill that does way more damage against dark creatures and monsters. Piercing - damages a foe and does not subtract the defense from the damage. Great Shield negates damage done by enemy. Silencer - kills the foe in one hit. Pick - opens chests without key or lockpicks. Sure Shot - makes attack hit rate 100.
