05.) STATUS CHANGES - G0500
===============================================================================
===============================================================================

THIS SECTION IS STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION. Certain buffs can only be cast by
captured monsters (like Enwater, for example), and until I find out an enemy
capable of casting Bravera, or Faithra, those buffs (and debuffs) won't make it
to the list.

The game features 13 buffs (positive status changes) and 14 debuffs (negative
status ailments), which I have confirmed to exist in the game.
Buffs are: Bravery, Faith, Haste, Protect, Shell, Vigilance, Veil, Enfire,
Enfrost, Enthunder, Enwater, Regen (enemy only), Auto-Life (enemy only).
Debuffs are: Debrave, Pain, Defaith, Fog, Slow, Daze, Deprotect, Deshell,
Curse, Poison, Dispel (enemy only), Imperil, Doom, Blood Damage.

You can have up to 8 buffs and/or debuffs applied to one target at once.

---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------
                          ACTIVE TIME BATTLE TUTORIAL
---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------

In lower left corner of battle screen you have the following:
a) ATB gauge which has 6 segments - the maximum amount.
All other characters and monsters start with three ATB segments.
b) List of commands. Currently you only have three:
   - Auto-battle will have AI choose the most appropriate action.
   - Abilities lets you choose commands you want to use.
   - Items lets you use available battle items.

ATBG slowly fills from left to right. Once it is full, your leader will execute
inputted commands in the order listed above the ATBG. Most commands cost one
segment of ATBG, though you will also access commands which take 2, 3 or all
segments of ATBG.

Once you choose Auto-battle, you will have to choose the target you want to
attack. Currently there's only one enemy, so choose its name and let it rip.

If you choose Abilities, you can then choose which commands you want your chr
to execute. Each command is added to ATBG, and you can add as many commands as
there are available segments. Greyed out commands cannot be added to ATBG. Once
you've selected your commands, the game will provide you with a list of
possible targets. There's only one enemy, so choose its name and let it rip.

Maximum amount of segments you can obtain is six. Two are obtained by upgrading
Crystarium nodes, and one is obtained by purchasing chr's weapon with [ATB+1]
passive ability.

In lower right corner of battle screen you have several pieces of info:
a) Chr's name
b) Chr's current HP (if it drops to zero, chr is KOed)
c) A green bar representing ratio of chr's current to MAX HP

In upper right corner of the screen you have a Stagger Gauge of the targeted
enemy. The game will explain it later in the game, so don't concern with it
just yet.
-------------------------------- TUTORIAL END! --------------------------------

---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------
                        PREVENTING THE ATTACKS TUTORIAL
---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------

Just as you can attack enemies and sometimes prevent them from their attack
going off, they can do the same to you. There are a couple of variations of how
can enemies forbid or inhibit your movement.
- knock your chr to the ground, after which he/she will stand up
- launch your chr in the air, then he/she comes crashing down, and will stand
  up after a few seconds
- Daze status prevents your chr from moving, and causes next attack received to
  inflict greater damage
- Fog status prevents your chr from using attacks of magical nature
- Pain status prevents your chr from using attacks of physical nature
- when hit, your chr will often stagger a little, but not enough to be knocked
  on the ground

Lightning faces off VS Bahamut. Since this is first battle, it isn't terribly
difficult, but you must still be careful not to get carried away.

Lightning is well equipped for the battle at hand. You can fry Bahamut with
lightning raining from the sky, fill it with bullets from Light's gunblade, or
in case of emergency healing totally fill your HP and at same time bestowing
Protect and Shell.
Bahamut, on the other hand, often swipes at Light, or breathes some fire in
path of Odin. After losing about 50% HP, Bahamut roars and gets few new tricks.
It can now deliver a punishing divebomb and shoot several projectiles.
Take care to renew HP if they drop low and keep troubling Bahamut until the
battle concludes.

EPISODE 1 =========================================================== EPISODE 1
WLK02 AF003 - NEW BODHUM
EPISODE 1 =========================================================== EPISODE 1

This portion of the guide will feature many tutorials to get you used to the
game, so bear with me. Fortunately most of the stuff remains the same as in
FFXIII, so I won't have a tough job.

Enter Serah, the main protagonist - and you get to control her. Serah has even
less monies than Light did in FFXIII. Zero gil to start the game with is not
fun at all.

---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------
                            CAMERA CONTROL TUTORIAL
---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------

Choose the appropriate camera setting for yourself (mainly for upskirt shots of
Serah), which would be first option.
-------------------------------- TUTORIAL END! --------------------------------

By advancing the storyline or meeting special requirements you will obtain
entries into your DATALOG.

-------------------------------- TUTORIAL END! --------------------------------

Check the door and answer LT001. Jump over obstacles by pressing Circle and
head outside for LT002, then slip into the event battle.

Both Serah's and Noel's starting roles are Commando, Ravager and Sentinel. Your
prearranged paradigms are: COM/COM, RAV/COM, COM/SEN, SEN/SEN. The enemies you
face are no threat so destroy them with extreme prejudice!

---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------
                             LIBRA SCREEN TUTORIAL
---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------

By pressing R1 you can access Libra screen of all enemies you're fighting and
haven't been defeated yet. The screen is setup like this:
a) Top left corner has:
   - Enemy's name
   - Enemy's current / MAX HP (by reducing current HP to zero enemy is KOed)
b) Upper right corner lists negative statuses enemy is immune to. From left to
   right you have:
   - Deprotect (take more physical damage)
   - Deshell (take more magical damage)
   - Slow (enemy's ATBG fills 50% slower)
   - Poison (continuous damage over time)
   - Imperil (fire, water, thunder and ice resistances down by 1 rank)
   - Curse (enemy's attacks interrupted easier, own attacks interrupted harder)
   - Pain (cannot use physical abilities)
   - Fog (cannot use magical abilities)
   - Daze (cannot move, receive much higher damage from next attack)
   - Provoke (cannot be provoked by SEN)
   - Dispel (remove the latest buff/debuff applied [rightmost one])
c) On left side of the screen you have the following:
   - CHAIN RESISTANCE (how resilient the enemy is against chaining)
   - STAGGER POINT (amount of Stagger you must inflict before enemy staggers)
   - COMMON DROP is item which is dropped most of time
   - RARE DROP is item which is rarely dropped
d) On right side of the screen you have enemy's vulnerabilities to four
elements, as well as physical and magical attacks. There are six types of
affinities the enemy can sport and they are:
   a) WHITE - none (takes full damage of the attack)
   b) BLUE - weakness (takes double damage from such attack)
   c) YELLOW - half (takes 50% less damage from such attack)
   d) ORANGE - resistant (damage from such attack is reduced by 90%)
   e) RED - immunity (takes no damage from such attack [word GUARD appears])
   f) PURPLE - absorption (attack heals enemy - 30% of the usual damage)
      recovery)
e) On bottom of the screen you have four lines of enemy information, which may
provide hints as to how to battle the enemy efficiently, or warn you of
   enemy's special abilities.

Whenever you press R1 and you access Libra screen of the enemy you haven't
fought yet, everything will be filled with question marks. You need to fight
this enemy a couple of times before the entries fill up with relevant
information. Alternatively you can use Libra Scope item which scans all enemies
in battle and reveals all info.
-------------------------------- TUTORIAL END! --------------------------------

In the main menu new entries have been added: Equipment, Status and Bestiary.

---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------
                             ATTACK CHAIN TUTORIAL
---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------

Now let's talk about chain and Stagger.
a) By continuously attacking the enemy, thus chaining the attacks together,
you're increasing enemy's Chain gauge (evident by yellow bar being filled
   from left to right).
b) Physical attacks add little % to CG, but they also cause CG to decrease
slowly, allowing you ample time to chain together next series of attacks.
c) Magical attacks add a lot of % to CG, but they also cause CG to decrease
rapidly, not allowing you to string together attacks easily.
d) Every enemy in the game has its own CG and it starts at 100% once battle
   commences.
e) Once you add enough % to enemy's CG, that enemy enters STAGGER STATE. For
example, an enemy you fight has CG of 300%. When battle starts, its CG
begins at 100%. This means that you have to keep chaining attacks together
for so long until you accumulate additional 200% towards enemy's CG.
f) In Stagger the enemy is extremely vulnerable, more susceptible to status
changes, takes much more damage from attacks, and cannot respond well to
your attacks. Additionally, sometimes attack and/or status affinities may
   change in Stagger.
g) Once the enemy is Staggered, bonus 100% is added to CG. In aforementioned
   case, CG would become 400%.
h) Maximum value CG can reach is 999,9%.
i) % on the CG has another effect. All of your attacks will inflict higher
damage affected by the amount displayed on CG. In aforementioned case,
your attacks would inflict 4x greater damage than usual.
j) Once the enemy is Staggered, its CG will start to slowly deplete from right
to left. Until the bar is completely gone, all additional attacks by you
will keep adding % to CG. Once the bar is empty, enemy's CG returns to 100%
and you have to Stagger it again.
-------------------------------- TUTORIAL END! --------------------------------

There is a big commotion on the beach, so run into few enemies roaming around
to get to know them better in the afterlife.

---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------
                            PARADIGM SYSTEM TUTORIAL
---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------

Your chrs have roles assigned to them and they are as follows:
a) ATTACKER / COMMANDO - excels at physical combat
b) BLASTER / RAVAGER - excels at magical combat
c) DEFENDER / SENTINEL - draws enemy's attention and acts as a tank
d) JAMMER / SABOTEUR - pesters enemies with negative statuses
e) ENHANCER / SYNERGIST - protects the party with positive statuses
f) HEALER / MEDIC - excels at healing the party and reviving KOed allies

In lower portion of the screen you have two additions:
a) PARADIGM can be accessed by pressing L1. What does it do? It allows you to
change chrs' roles in battle on the fly by choosing one of predetermined
setups (you can have a maximum of six setups).
b) Between chr's name and numerical HP display you'll see a shortened name for
chr's role - COM for Commando, RAV for Ravager and so forth.

You can assign characters the most effective roles for a given situation by
changing your party's paradigm. You can switch between paradigms as often as
you like.

Each paradigm assigns specific roles to the members of your party. These roles
define the spells and abilities available to a party member, as well as their
general behavior in combat.

There's a wide variety of paradigms to choose from. Offensive paradigms
concentrate on dealing damage to enemies, while defensive paradigms focus on
party protection and healing. It is very important to shift paradigms to suit
your situation. You can press left analog to scan the paradigms available and
see the list of roles that each comprises.

For example, the paradigm Relentless Assault is an offensive paradigm in which
multiple attackers coordinate their efforts. The paradigm's two Ravagers target
whichever enemy Commando attacks, with the goal of quickly filling the enemy's
chaing gauge in order to stagger it. If you wish to continue using the
Relentless Assault paradigm, press Circle to close the paradigm deck. If you
wish to change paradigms, select a new paradigm with left analog and then press
X.
-------------------------------- TUTORIAL END! --------------------------------

Once you clear the beach completely, there will be some scenes. Afterwards
follow Noel towards N and talk to him for LT003.

---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------
                       MOOGLE CLOCK (ENCOUNTER) TUTORIAL
---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------

When not in battle mode, a minimap is displayed in upper right corner. While
prancing around, enemies will randomly spawn next to you and Moogle Clock will
pop below your protagonist. Enemies are also marked on minimap as red dots.

Moogle Clock comprises of two segments, green and yellow. While the counter is
still green, the spawned enemies are unable to move, and you can easily secure
Preemptive Strike by hitting them with chr's weapon.

However, if the counter enters yellow zone, the enemies begin to move and wil
try to engage battle with your chrs. If they manage to touch you, battle
initiates with no advantage for either side.

If MC runs out while you're still in enemy's field of encounter, battle starts
as well - you will also be unable to restart the battle.

If you secure the PS, a few of the enemies will get 20% bonus to their Stagger
Gauges, and the party begins the battle with Haste buff in effect.

Few more pointers for battles!
- After the battle is won, you get:
  a) items, which are dropped by enemies (there's no Steal command)
  b) CP, which are used to purchase upgrade nodes in Crystarium
  c) Gil, which is dropped by enemies (huge improvement over FFXIII)
- After battle is won, you will be given a star ranking. Star rank depends on:
TARGET TIME - time alloted for taking out all enemies
BATTLE DURATION - how quickly you defeated all enemies
INITIATIVE BONUS - point multiplier (with PS you get x1,2 multiplier)
  POINTS PER SECOND - self-explanatory
Points awarded depend on how quickly you took out the enemies, damage
  incurred/taken, and some other factors.
- Star ranking has three uses:
  a) beating last boss with five stars gives you a trophy
  b) it influences drop rate of spoils obtained after battle
- Your HP is completely recovered after each battle.
- There are only three chrs' stats - HP, STR, and MAG.
- There are only two types of equipment - weapons and accessories.
- You can store a maximum of 999999 CP, the rest is then wasted.
- If your leader is KOed, the game switches over to Noel/Serah. But if both
protagonists are KOed, then the game is over. Choose top option to restart
the battle by being returned to the map just before entering the battle. If
you choose bottom option, you will be returned to title screen.
- If the battle at hand proves too tough, simply grind out for CP. You're not
restricted by some silly Crystarium levels, like in FFXIII.
-------------------------------- TUTORIAL END! --------------------------------

---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------
                              ITEM USAGE TUTORIAL
---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------

When in a pinch, items can save your day. Items can be used instantly, and
using items does not affect ATBG in any way. Some items are used on all party
members, and some can be used only on one.

Choosing Item command will bring up a list of available battle items. Choose
the one you need at the moment and then select who you want to use it on. AI
can assist you by automatically putting the cursor on the one that needs it the
most.
-------------------------------- TUTORIAL END! --------------------------------

Go up the wooden railing, jump up the stone and proceed N, then talk to Noel
for LT004. Follow him N still, and at this time Moogle's pompom will light up
and he'll point to a certain treasure ball. Open it for the map of New Bodhum.
Talk to Gadot for LT005. Follow Noel up the slope, and at the U-turn bag Libra
Scope from TB. Cross some tree trunks and talk to Yuju for LT006, then Marquee
for LT007. Go down the slope to the right of Marquee for first serious boss
battle.

-------------------- CONGRATULATIONS! YOU ARE SERAHTORIOUS! -------------------

AF003 NEW BODHUM FRAGMENT 01/04 obtained! There's a total of 160 frags in the
game - some are very easy to obtain, some are very hard or annoying (say hi to
casino for me). Collecting all of them is required for secret ending.

New entry has been added to main menu - Fragments.

Follow Noel to the fallen meteor and examine it...

Serah wakes up in a new day inside NORA's, with a couple of new additions to
main menu - Party Paradigms and Crystarium.

---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------
                              CRYSTARIUM TUTORIAL
---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------

The members of your party can now develop their powers, learning new abilities,
or improving attributes such as Strength, Magic, and HP. Crystarium is chr's
and monster's growth chart, on which you can buy various upgrade nodes:
- ABILITY NODE teaches chr/monster a new ability
- AUTO-ABILITY NODE teaches chr/monster a new auto-ability
- NODE which increases chr's/monster's stats depending on role/item chosen

When it comes to Noel and Serah, you can purchase nodes by expending CP, which
are obtained by winning battles. CP cost is small at start - only 100CP per
node. But as you progress over the Crystarium, the cost for purchasing nodes
increases every so often to a staggering amount of 3000+CP per node.

Both Serah and Noel learn only a limited amount of skills per role. And ability
XYZ on Serah's Ravager role may not be at Noel's Ravager role at all. To give
an example, only monsters can come with Haste spell.

Whenever you want to level up using Crystarium, you need to choose a role you
want to develop. Serah's roles are COM lv2, RAV lv1, and SEN lv2. Choose to
develop COM for 100CP - the next node will light up and you get a small bonus
to HP and ATK, and COM is now lv3. The cost for next node increases to 120CP,
and next node is bigger than the one we just purchased.

Choose to develop RAV next to lv2 - expend 120CP and receive a small bonus to
HP, as well as learn new ability for RAV. However, there's an additional bonus
of +2 to MAG because you leveled up a role on a bigger node.

Basically, depending on the role you level up when reaching bigger node, you
receive a small bonus afterwards:
- COM gives you additional +2 to ATK
- RAV gives you additional +2 to MAG
- SEN gives you additional +6 to HP
- SAB gives you additional +2 to ATK OR +2 to MAG
- SYN gives you additional +6 to HP OR +2 to MAG
- MED gives you additional +6 to HP

Next, once you're around the Crystarium grid, it levels up and you're offered
up to six of the following bonuses:
- additional bar to ATBG (up to twice)
- special battle ability (after purchasing both ATB bars)
- +20 capacity to equipping accessories (up to twice)
- +10 capacity to equipping accessories (after purchasing both +20 capacities)
- unlock MED role
- unlock SAB role
- unlock SYN role
- COM role level up 1 (making it more effective)
- COM role level up 2 (making it even more effective)
- RAV role level up 1 (making it more effective)
- RAV role level up 2 (making it even more effective)
- SEN role level up 1 (making it more effective)
- SEN role level up 2 (making it even more effective)
- SAB role level up 1 (making it more effective)
- SAB role level up 2 (making it even more effective)
- SYN role level up 1 (making it more effective)
- SYN role level up 2 (making it even more effective)
- MED role level up 1 (making it more effective)
- MED role level up 2 (making it even more effective)

However, to level up monsters, you need to feed them various monster materials,
obtained from battles and other means. Each time you use a required amount of
items to purchase a node, monster's HP, STR and MAG will increase. Also, each
item bears a small additional boost to certain stat - that can be STR, MAG, HP
or all three at once. Monster materials have grades, and the required grade of
material increases as you level up monsters in Crystarium.

Once you're around the Crystarium grid for a monster, it levels up and you're
offered one of the following bonuses:
- additional bar to ATBG (up to twice)
- monster's role level up 1 (making it more effective)
- monster's role level up 2 (making it even more effective)

Serah and Noel can reach lv99 in any of the six roles they have available. But
monsters are a different story - not all of them can reach lv99, and they only
have one role at any given time. For example, Pulsework Soldier's role will
always be SEN.

Abilities can only be used when in the corresponding role, but attribute
bonuses like +4 to MAG apply across all roles.
-------------------------------- TUTORIAL END! --------------------------------

Here's how I chose my roles and level up bonuses.
SERAH: On bigger nodes I leveled RAV for extra MAG. At Crystarium level ups I
chose RAV level up 1, RAV level up 2, Unlock MED role, Unlock SAB role, ATB
LEVEL +1, SAB level up 1, SAB level up 2, ATB LEVEL +1.
NOEL: On bigger nodes I leveled COM for extra ATK. At Crystarium level ups I
chose COM level up 1, COM level up 2, Unlock MED role, Unlock SYN role, ATB
LEVEL +1, ATB LEVEL +1, SYN level up 1, SYN level up 2.

Next to Serah a cube will pop up, containing Live Trigger reward. Depending on
your choices in LT events, you're awarded monster items used for adorning them.
If you make poor choices, you'll get something crappy as a Potion. However, LTs
have no effect on the overall story at all.

Talk to Lebreau for LT008, and then head outside.

---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------
                             MOOGLE HUNTER TUTORIAL
---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------

Whenever an important item or whatever else is nearby, Moogle's pompom will
light up, alerting you to it. So just follow the furball and press X (in some
cases R1 is required).

However, there are several concealed treasures which have a ring around them.
While you're able to see these, you cannot uncover them just yet. You have to
progress further in the story to unlock SP version of Moogle Hunter.
-------------------------------- TUTORIAL END! --------------------------------

Go S and Moogle's pompom lights up - he darts over to some cat, so talk to it.
Cat tries to escape, but Moogle keeps up just fine, so follow him to SW corner
and talk to the cat again for LT009, then Noel for LT010. Also in SW corner are
remains of the house where some vegetables are being grown - examine those for
LT011.

A bunch of kids have gathered nearby and they appear quite lively, so have a
chat with them for LT012. After the scene Marquee accuses kid in orange
vestment of something, and latter runs away. Finally examine the palm tree
between rocks on the beach to find Lightning's knife (Serah's present to
Lightning for her b-day in FFXIII) for LT013.

Immediately E to the palm tree is a girl on the beach, sitting down. Talk to
her to initiate a quest. Wut?

---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------
                                 QUEST TUTORIAL
---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------

Yaaay, quests return for this installment of FF. They're of various kinds:
- kill a monster
- find an item (either in cube or dropped by monster)
- complete a task
- answer quiz questions

Completing the quests is necessary in order to collect all 160 frags.
-------------------------------- TUTORIAL END! --------------------------------

For this particular quest, a treasure cube has appeared along NW edge of the
map, containing the item wanted by the beach girl.

Now follow the stupid kid, until you catch up to him. Spank him with LT014 (X)
and LT015 (Triangle) so he leaves, and then chalk it up with LT016. Follow Noel
down the ledge and before stepping on the beach, you can talk to him for LT017.
Enter New Bodhum for a scene at the pier, and then walk into Serah's room.
Examine the mirror to obtain OOparts.

Walk outside for a scene and then depart for the crater on very N. Along E edge
of the map a new path has opened because the water receded. On the very same
spot as you fought Gogmagog...

A small alteration in boss tactic starts by boss making itself resistant to
both physical and magical damage. Until you stagger it, you deal 10% of usual
damage only. Make RAV/COM combo and press the attack until Gog is staggered, at
which point its shield dissipates and boss again takes full damage from all
attacks. Combine into COM/COM for swift dispatch, and heal with Potions if HPs
are low.

AF003 NEW BODHUM FRAGMENT 02/04 obtained!

KWEH! Look, it's a chocobo, and very soon too! Approach the chocster and press
L1 to ride it. Doing so will expend 1 Gysahl Greens from your inventory, and
you can ride yellow chocobo for unlimited amount of time. There's also the red
version, which continuously drains your supply of Gysahls while riding it.
While riding a chocobo, all random battles are void (except event battles and
fights against enemies that you actually see), you can examine TBs and TCs,
talk to people and use a shop. Pressing Circle causes chocobo to jump, and L1
dismounts the bird.

Anyways, mount the chocster and ride it back to New Bodhum to the girl near the
beach. Hand over the item she needs for AF003 NEW BODHUM FRAGMENT 03/04! Also
ensure that you cover 100% of the map (needed for a quest later in the game).

Oookay, now head for time gate in the crater and use it to welcome Historia
Crux, a time machine of sorts. At LT018 press Triangle to continue - AF005
Bresha Ruins is unlocked!

Here's a completed shabby ASCII map of Historia Crux.

Ugh, this giant is quite resilient to all damage, and delivers powerful strikes
with Blood Damage. As I explained in status changes section, Blood Damage
permanently reduces your MAX HP until end of battle, or until cured with Blood
Potion. Switch to RAV/COM and endure a couple of boss attacks until it readies
to slam you again.

CINEMATIC ACTION SEQUENCE INCOMING!

Being successful negates all damage from the attack, grants Bravery buff to
Noel and Faith buff to Serah. Endure some more attacks and now...

This will stagger the boss, allowing you to deal greater damage. Switch to
COM/COM at this point and send the gigantic pile of paradox to the pits.
-------------------- CONGRATULATIONS! YOU ARE SERAHTORIOUS! -------------------

CINEMATIC ACTION SEQUENCE INCOMING!
- MASH Triangle

Being accurate in all CAs for the boss yields an item for adorning the
monsters. Talk to the soldier in red armor to get things moving, then talk to
Noel for LT019, then the soldier in front of the cell for LT020, and again for
LT021 - at this point a blonde woman comes running. Her name is Alyssa and
she'll help you out.

After Alyssa and the soldier are done conversing, talk to the soldier again and
you're free for LT022. Afterwards you need to talk to Alyssa again, but nefore
that explore the area for a couple of treasures. If you go back to the soldier
next to the cell, you'll see a brief image of a treasure floating in the air.
Very soon you will get the ability to uncover these treasures, so hold onto
your moogles for now.

Along E edge of starting area you can find Chocolina, a crazy girl in chocobo
suit. She'll be haunting you wherever you go, offering her warez at exorbitant
prices. Items she's selling also depend on which HC area you're in - in this
timeline she offers battle items, weapons, accessories, monster materials, and
miscellaneous (the last category contains Gysahl Greens, and monster
decorations). Anyway, at this point you can purchase better weapons for Serah
and Noel, so equip them right away. Talk to Alyssa to receive [???] and a map
of Bresha Ruins. Change Leader entry has also been to main menu, as well as
battle menu.

Now you can proceed up the stairs in NE corner to continue exploring Bresha
Ruins. An event battle will unfold - kill all enemies to obtain two monster
crystals, and unlock Monster Raid battle ability. Accept next tutorial and add
Cait Sith to empty monster slot, then choose your default paradigm. Upon
quitting the menu next event battle unfolds.

---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------
                             SYNCHRO DRIVE TUTORIAL
---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------

Each monster comes with unique ability which you can release upon filling
Synchro Drive gauge, which is located below the monster's HP gauge. When SD is
full, you can press Square to unleash monster's unique ability. Each such
ability comes with QTE button input - complete it as quickly as you can in
order to get big Synchro Boost, which increases the effectivenes of the skill.
-------------------------------- TUTORIAL END! --------------------------------

Monsters entry has been added to main menu. Now I'll be talking about monster
development and paradigms.

---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------
                             MONSTERS MENU TUTORIAL
---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------

Whenever you kill a monster, there's a chance that you'll obtain its crystal
(not all monsters can be captured). Getting the monster's crystal adds the
monster to your menagerie.

There are four things you can do in Monster menu:
- add decorative items on the monster (serves no purpose whatsoever)
- rename the monster (serves no purpose as well)
- infuse the monster with other monsters (this is what I'm talking about)
- release the monster

You'll likely spend a lot of time in Infusion submenu, trying to make that
perfect monster. Let me give you an example of how you can improve your
favorite monster.
- You have a lv40 Flanitor, MED, 4000 HP, 250 MAG.
- You want to increase Flanitor's HP.
- Go to Flanitor's Infusion submenu and look for a monster with passive ability
  HP+15% or similar.
- Infuse Flanitor with selected monster and Flanitor's HP will increase.

A monster learns battle/passive abilities as you level up its Crystarium by
having the monster reach certain level. For example, the monster gets HP+10%
passive ability upon reaching lv10, and can cast Haste upon reaching lv20.

Single monster can have up to 10 passive abilities at any given time.
-------------------------------- TUTORIAL END! --------------------------------

At this point I went back to AF003 New Bodhum and captured Pulsework Soldier.
Its SEN role kept me cruising for a bruising all the way to the end of the
game. For MED I kept Cait Sith, which was later replaced by Flanitor. And for
COM I have Kichu, which is a special Ochu monster found in Archylte Steppe
which we shall visit in near future.

---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------
                             PARADIGM PACK TUTORIAL
---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------

Upon entering Paradigm Pack menu, you're greeted with following choices.
- 1st allows you to add captured monsters to one of the three slots.
- 2nd allows you create paradigms as you see fit by choosing roles for Serah
and Noel. Monster can only have one role, and it cannot be changed. Pressing
Square on chosen paradigm will make it a default paradigm, meaning that you
begin the battles with that paradigm. Pressing Triangle allows you to save
your paradigm selections in one of three slots (which can later be loaded via
  Triangle again).*1
- 3rd allows you to auto-create paradigms based on preference of attacking
  power, defensive positioning or ???.
- 4th allows you to delete paradigms (default paradigm cannot be deleted).

*1 note: By choosing Tune option you can select how your party members behave
in chosen paradigm. Will everyone focus on leader's target? Or will each member
choose his/her/its own target? It's up to you to decide.
-------------------------------- TUTORIAL END! --------------------------------

Proceed up next set of stairs, get scared by giant hand and turn left to find
an orange warp gate near lots of pillars (this is best way to describe
locations of warp gates). Examine it for LT023, then follow Moogle to its
glowing pompom position and talk to nearby soldier.

You gain Moogle Hunter ability! When you find an invisible TB, TC or something
else floating in the air, but still barely visible, press R1 in its vicinity to
have Moogle reveal it, allowing you to claim it for yourself. There's
Chocolina's shop nearby (she will often times be in your way, allowing you for
easy access to her shop, so that you don't have to backtrack),

You have obtained WILD OOPARTS (01/10)! Wild OOparts allow you to activate blue
warp gates, leading you to other time zones. The warp gate you just passed is
white, so Wild OOparts won't work on it. Note if you return to Alyssa in
starting area, there's invisible TB near her with Libra Scope.

You can choose to take the tunnel on the right, or path on the left - take the
tunnel for it leads to orange warp gate in the cavern and some treasure.
Examine orange gate for LT024, and then go W from orange gate.

When you exit the tunnel, proceed N (that giant hand will smash the
surroundings again), and then turn E to find another shop of Chocolina's and a
big giant Atlas - LT025. Let's take care of it immediately.

PARADOX ENDING - Kicking Atlas' ass while it's in full power state will award
you with paradox ending (01/08) and a fragment (I will not yet keep track of
this fragment, but I'll do so when I actually return to kill Atlas in its full
power state). But it's unlikely you're able to do so on first visit, so you
need to grow stronger. Return to this area later in the game with help of Time
Reversal and become the girl with absolute power who takes down bigass giant.

OK, retry.=) Turn around and enter the tunnel on the right. When you reach a
cavern with paths branching E, W and another corridor connecting the cavern
with outside area (Chocolina's shop is in this corridor as well), hike W to
dead end with LT026, and then E to find a special device...

Enter Time Labyrinth, a mess of synhronizing the timeline. There's three
different types of time labyrinths.
- Collect all crystal fragments in the area, while the panels you step on
disappear when you get off of them.
- Connect the star system of shown monster by linking together two crystals
when they're of the same color.
- Clear all numbers on the clock. For clock puzzles download the Shockwave app:
  http://www.megaupload.com/?d=I1I77B5O
It will help you amazingly. And for the record I DID NOT MAKE IT. I found it:
  http://www1.axfc.net/uploader/He/dl.pl
Pressing Square resets the current stage of the puzzle, and pressing R1 + L1 at
the same time quits the puzzle.

Now with that out of the way, clear the three stages of time labyrinth to
obtain AF005 BRESHA RUINS FRAGMENT (01/08). Examine the device to deal a slight
shock to Atlas... oooh, ran outta juice? Return to Atlas to deal with it.

Time Reversal allows you to replay any of the timelines you've visited from the
beginning. This way you can make different choices in LTs, and thus obtain
different items from TC that appear as a result of your choices. Time Reversal
is also important for achieving several paradox endings.

Path N is blocked, so we go E instead. Before dropping down the cliff, talk to
the guy to receive a map of Yaschas Massif. So, walk E, then N and then veer W
to enter the dark area...

For as long as you remain in searchlight's beam, you will not encounter any
enemies. Should you currently be encountering some, your Moogle Clock will
recover to full value. If you encounter any Behemoths, it may be best to run
for now - one sports 32000 HP and is difficult to defeat.

Regardless, make your way N (Chocolina's shop - she sells new weapons, new acc,
and new monster mats) and turn right around the curve, then NE, and N again. At
this point you can talk to Noel for LT028. Talk to the girl to left of
Chocolina's and suit up for next boss battle!

Ensure one of your paradigms is SEN/SEN/SEN!

Sucker begins by imposing Deshell and/or Deprotect on your party, so whip out
paradigm with Cait Sith and Esuna yourselves before you're hit with too many
Ruingas to handle. Once you stagger it, attempt to remove as much HPs as you
can.
Once the staggering period is over, Gog shields itself with a barrier that
makes it resistant to all attacks. Once you stagger it again, the barrier is
gone and Gog takes full damage from everything. Gog will now ready bigass
attack - as soon as caption appears, switch to triple SEN paradigm to greatly
reduce the damage. If you don't defeat it during second stagger, the process
repeats by Gog casting resistant shield on self, etc.

Hope appears and sends Aro packing. AF010 YASCHAS MASSIF FRAGMENT (01/05)
obtained. Wait for Hope and Alyssa to stop yapping, then explore the area. Talk
to the '!' soldier to free the path forward, then to Hope when he stops again
for LT029 (Triangle), and again talk to Hope. You get OOparts which activate
the only orange warp gate in E dead end in middle of the map.

Talk to Hope for LT030 and then depart for orange warp gate. Examine it for
LT031, and the gate unlocks AF200 Oerba timeline.

EPISODE 3-A ======================================================= EPISODE 3-A

Hint: Start working on Serah's SAB role and learn Poison spell. It's very
useful for taking down some tough enemies and bosses.

Walk forward, jump the gap in the road and press R1 near dark space to reveal
time rift, leading into time labyrinth. In this type of labyrinth, you will be
shown a star system of a monster or object from world of FFXIII-2 (in first
case it's Cait Sith). Stand in a spot where a crystal is, then hold X and
connect the crystal with one of the connecting crystals. At the time of being
connected both crystals have to be of the same color. And some crystals are
connected to more than one crystal.

Since this is just a warm up, the systems are not hard to connect, but they get
progressively harder the further you are in the game. Complete this puzzle to
get AF200 OERBA FRAGMENT (01/05).

Continue down the road and drop down the ledge thru opening in stone fence to
the right. Proceed SE, then around the house (this used to be Vanille's house
if you played FFXIII) - now you can go down the slope on the right, or enter
the plaza in front of the house. Go to the plaza, and close to your left is
small set of stairs leading inside the house. On lower level you can nab TB
with map of Oerba.

NW from Vanille's house is Chocolina's shop - she has some new acc and new misc
items. Approach the dark space on side of the plaza and press R1 at the spot
with Moogle's glowing pompom to reveal next time rift. Complete two stages of
star systeming to get AF200 OERBA FRAGMENT (02/05).

Go up the slope on your left and the proceed W, then turn right and go
downstairs. Moogle's pompom lights up near the dark space and another time rift
is revealed. Complete three stages of star systeming to get AF200 OERBA
FRAGMENT (03/05).

Go downstairs to enter sand-covered passage leading to the stairs, which point
N towards the beach. Nearby is also an orange warp gate... which we can't use
yet. Go down to the beach, nab Libra Scope from TB, and walk alongside the
beach to the ruined school.

Go to the rooftop and examine the pedestal with strange multi-sided cube on it.

Have these paradigms among your chosen ones:
1. SAB/BLA/SEN (SEN as Pulsework Soldier)
2. SEN/SEN/SEN
3. MED/MED/MED (MED as Cait Sith)
4. COM/COM/COM (COM as Behemoth)

A very tough sucker to take down, indeed. At start of battle, boss fortifies
himself with Auto-Life (which cannot be dispeled). He can also produce a mass
of buffs on himself, and gain Regen (which cannot be dispeled).=)

Start with setup <1.> and keep pelting the guy with Poison until it sticks,
then add Deprotect as well. Switch to setup <6.> and pour magic damage until
boss is staggered. Switch to setup <4.> at this time for some mega damage. At
this time boss is likely to put Bravery, Faith and Refen on himself, but just
ignore it and continue the assault for victory!

PARADOX ENDING - After you beat the game, visit the Xanadu timeline. Enter the

There are two gates here, both are located in SW portion of the map. Blue warp
gate is along the W edge, and orange warp gate is at the very S. But first, run
to the encampment in the N to talk to Hope. Before entering the camp a scene

Chocolina's shop doesn't have anything new, sigh. Talk to Hope for a scene,
then try leaving for another scene, talk to Hope for LT035, and then ascend the

invisible image of an item. Press R1 to uncover it, and then collect ???.

Now walk over to blue warp gate along W edge of the map and use Wild OOparts to
activate the warp which unlocks AF300 Augusta Tower. While still on HC, choose
to go back to AF01X Yaschas Massif.

Walk over to orange warp gate to extreme S in the dead end. Examine the gate,

Flan gets continuously healed by a bunch of smaller Flans near the bottom of
giant Flan, and you cannot do anything about it. At start of battle entire team
gets poisoned, so whip out MED paradigms and Esuna yourself. Then the Flan
keeps slapping you with those big hands of his.
Stick Deprotect and Deshell on the tomato until it's staggered, and then bring
out the pain with triple COMs. As an added bonus Snow fights alongside you, but
you cannot directly control his actions.

CINEMATIC ACTION SEQUENCE INCOMING! (after removing about 20% of boss' HP)
- press Square

Doing so grants Protect to entire party. When boss' HP is quite low, it readies
a big slam telegraphed by raising its arms high in the air. Switch to triple

-------------------- CONGRATULATIONS! YOU ARE SERAHTORIOUS! -------------------

CINEMATIC ACTION SEQUENCE INCOMING!
- tilt left analog UP
- press Square
- MASH Square
- MASH Circle
- tilt left analog RIGHT

Um, the flan isn't dead yet? Party promptly escapes for LT036, then talk to
Snow to get the map of Sunleth Waterscape.

PARADOX ENDING - Kicking Giant Flan's ass while it's in full power state will
award you with paradox ending (03/08). But it's unlikely you're able to do so
on first visit, so you need to grow stronger. Return to this area later in the
game with help of Time Reversal and become the girl with absolute power who
takes down bigass flan.

Anyway, currently you're on very N of the map. To your left is N orange warp
gate, so just examine it for reference, then go S, grab onto the vine to swing
over past giant Flan and reach 4waycross. You came from NE... to NW is another
orange warp gate - I'll refer to this one as 4waycross orange warp gate.

For now steer SE and check in with Chocolina - she has new acc only. Continue
past crazy chocobo girl and path splits. There's an apparition of Flans
blocking your way, so get rid of them with R1. Take the left path, walk over
tree trunks and use the vine to swing further, then continue to jump up next
two platforms until you reach the dead end. Oho, an OOparts! But it's occupied
by some minor enemies, which can be quickly dealt with.

After the battle deal with LT037, and you nab OOparts which activate N orange
warp gate. Jump down to lower platform, but don't grab the vine yet! Continue
jumping down and you reach a platform with apparently nothing here. But take a
look around - above you is a fragment! Oho! You need the ability which is
obtained from other part of this area and we'll go get it now.

Return to that vine I told you to ignore and swing across. Chocobo riding
enabled - sweet! Mosey over to 4waycross and check down SW path. Prepare for
next boss batt...? What?

I got me a monstar! While traversing the area on the beast, party spots several
TBs out of reach, and suggest throwing the moogle to retrieve them. But moogle
doesn't approve, hehe.

---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------
                            MOOGLE THROWING TUTORIAL
---------------------------------- TUTORIAL! ----------------------------------

When you see a treasure out of reach, or just feel like being bad, you can toss
the moogle to retrieve it. Hold L1 to ready the moogle, move left analog to
adjust the angle of the throw, and finally press R1 to toss!

A circle at the end of throw arc will tell you where the moogle will land. If
it's near TB or TC, he'll get the contents for you.

Moogle can also catch monsters, but not in battle. If you toss him at a
specific spot, you can find a very special monster - Gold Chocobo, Silver
Chocobo, Kichu - to name a few. First you need to acquire the relevant fragment
skill, though.
-------------------------------- TUTORIAL END! --------------------------------

Practice Mog Catcher on the three TBs near you, and when you nab them all, the
beast moves on. Look to your left now! When you spot Wild OOparts, ready the
moogle and toss it to retrieve WILD OOPARTS (02/10).

Get off the beast when it stops, and pass Chocolina to go SE. Use the vine to
swing over - when you land, moogle's pompom lights up. NE from your position
there's a concealed vine dangling from above, so press R1 to uncover the vine.
Don't use that vine, instead go as far S as you can to discover S orange warp
gate.

Then there's a path that branched off to SW we haven't yet explored. Jump over
tree trunks until you reach the bottom. Another OOparts are being guarded by a
bunch of minor enemies. Clear them all to obtain OOparts which activate S
orange warp gate. And killing off those enemies also enabled chocobo riding in
this part of Waterscape.

Return to the vine we've uncovered short while ago and swing over to only
unexplored portion left (well, there's still left where giant Flan is, but you
have to kill it first), collect two TBs and use another vine to land near
Chocolina. At the spot you landed is one more concealed vine, hence use R1 to
uncover it.

Ride the beast back to 4waycross, take SE path, take a left past the chocobo,
swing with the vine over to the E, turn around and drop down to the lone
platform with a fragment above you. Toss the moogle up to retrieve AF300
SUNLETH WATERSCAPE FRAGMENT (01/02).

Now work your way over to N orange warp gate and use it to unlock AF???

Check the red Cactuar stone and you're warped back to nomad settlement along

Talk to the girl and she mentions that outside noman settlement there are three

approaching them and pressing X. Once you nab all three, return to the girl for
AF??? ARCHYLTE STEPPE FRAGMENT (03/12). Talk to her again and now you can mess

a) left down, right down - sunny weather
b) left down, right up - stormy weather with lightnings
c) left up, right up - cloudy weather
d) left up, right down - rainy weather

Flip both levers down to make sunny weather and Marduk pops up in E dead end of

Bleh, Marduk is immune to several status I find very useful on bosses. So we'll
have to take different approach with paradigms I listed above. At start of
battle Marduk charges for one of its big attacks. Unleash one set of stacked
commands and then switch to <2.> and wait for boss to land to finish this
particular attack.
Switch to <3.> to heal quickly, and then back to <1.> to stagger the foe. Upon
achieving so, unleash two more sets of commands for bigger chain boost, and
then comply with <4.> for mega damage against Marduk. As soon as Marduk breaks
out of stagger, it unleashes another big attack, so quickly switch to <2.>, and
then <3.> to recover sustained damage.
Marduk has annoying tendency to draw you in close and then follow up by

EPISODE 4 =========================================================== EPISODE 4

Things turn ugly very soon - unlike most areas we've been through, you'll see
all enemies onscreen in this timeline. You'll also fight an insane amount of
battles, cos new foes keep spawning all over the place.

From starting position go E, then examine the panel to change the color of
nearby escalator from red to blue. Go up the escalator and then dash N for a
scene. Currently you're in a safe zone where enemies cannot pursue you.

Examine the yellow terminal to get the map of Academy and notice about
defeating robotic enemies in order to clear the barriers further on in the
city. Turn left around the corner and check in with Chocolina - she sells new
weapons, new acc and lv2 monster materials.

Talk to the blonde girl tending another of yellow terminals to take on the
quest of covering all game maps 100%. We already have New Bodhum covered, so
that gives AF400 ACADEMY FRAGMENT (01/13).

The next point of interest is located after twists and turns with lots of
enemies blocking your path - we shall attempt the shortest route. From
Chocolina go W and bash up some enemies that have surely amassed just beyond
the barrier. Further E are three small robotic enemies - dismantle them to
remove the yellow barrier they've been protecting.

Now follow my instructions to the letter - go S over short catwalk, then turn E
again to spot a big silver robot guarding another orange barrier. With the
robot gone so is the barrier - there's a set of stairs leading N which you
should take... and fall into an event battle.

Afterwards proceed E downstairs near the escalator. At the bottom turn left
onto the main street and make a beeline straight W, fighting off waves of
enemies. There will be another scene with Soul Edge - after it rolls continue
going W and go down blue escalator. A scene of bridge collapsing plays, and the
enemies stop bothering you for a while.

Dash N and then W across broken bridge, then turn N again and blitz thru
enemies for the panel, which changes nearby escalator from red to blue. Take
that escalator up, turn W into the alley, and then turn S (note that if you
proceed N instead, you run into a giant enemy that awards you with a fragment
after you squish it).

Here's info on great spot for CP and gil Grindaga, though you will need a
controller with turbo function.
- From the last turn you made S you soon spot a red escalator going down to the
  W. You'll have to continuously jump in order to make it to the bottom.
- Head W, and then N to spot a panel which changes the color of escalator
behind you from red to blue.
- Ride that escalator up and you find yourself near TB.
- Slightly more S from you is an orange barrier with a big silver robot on
  other side.
- Stand as close to the barrier as you can, and now tape down X button.
- As soon as you win a random battle, the Moogle Clock for next one will appear
  immediately.
- All you do is stand still and let X button do the work.
- Watch CP and gil roll in while you do nothing.=)

If grinding to be powerful isn't your game, then ignore the last paragraph and
continue from here... Anyway, you're S-bound now - ignore the red escalator
branching off W, and take the next road W. Then turn N and engage big silver
robot that guards a barrier. Dismantle it and barrier is kaputt, then ride the
blue escalator up. If you need supplies, Chocolina's is to the right.

If your acc capacity is at 100, you can equip three acc that increase ATK by
10% to gain synth-ability (3% of damage incurred is absorbed as HP recovery).

From Chocolina go W and win two event battles before it's time for hentai...

At start of battle Zenobia immediately deploys three sets of tentacles which
shield the boss from any harm. The tentacles are weak to all element magic and
can thus be quickly destroyed. With tentacles gone, Zenobia now takes full
brunt of magic assaults, but still halves physicals.
Employing SAB is not a shabby idea - Deprotect, Deshell and Poison debuffs are
great ways to severely weaken Zenobia as you whittle down its HPs. With about
75% of health lost Zenobia deploys another set of tentacles (clearing any
debuffs it has incurred) - this time tentacles can also attack as well as heal
Zenobia. Destroy them with a set of three RAVs, briefly switch to triple SEN to
reduce damage from incoming attack as tentacles protrude from ground below your
chrs, and then finish off Zenobia as well.

use it to unlock AF200 Augusta Tower timeline.

WLK16 AF200 AUGUSTA TOWER
EPISODE 4 =========================================================== EPISODE 4

A tower area? Duh.

FLOOR 50
In the room examine all four orange terminals, then exit the room, head S and
enter next room. Again examine all four orange terminals - one spits out LT039
(the answer is 9261) and your reward is map of Augusta Tower. Toss a look at it
and see how it's made of circular walkways and rooms connecting these walkways.

Floor 50 has four rooms - NW, W, SW and SE. Currently you're in SW room, so
exit to outer walkway, make a beeline for W room and go thru it to get to
middle walkway. Turn N and collect WILD OOPARTS (03/10), then go the opposite
way and examine the terminal near the gap in walkway. It looks like you're
hosed since you need to find another Augusta Tower timeline.

To find another Augusta Tower timeline, here's how to proceed...
- You used OOparts in AF200 Oerba timeline to unlock AF01X Yaschas Massif.
- In AF01X Yaschas Massif use Wild OOparts on blue warp gate along W edge of
  the map.
- Bam, AF300 Augusta Tower timeline unlocked.

Before we go there, I can go and collect two more Wild OOparts!

a) Go to AF200 Oerba timeline and go to the big tree in the middle of the map.
SE from this tree is a house, and on E side of this house is a ledge with
Wild OOparts resting on it. Toss the moogle over there to nab WILD OOPARTS
   (04/10).
b) Go to AF??? Xanadu timeline, and purchase WILD OOPARTS (05/10) for 10000
chips (or 7500 chips in you have acquired Deflation fragment skill). If you
are gilpinching, you can grab these Wild OOparts later.

EPISODE 4 =========================================================== EPISODE 4
WLK17 AF300 AUGUSTA TOWER
EPISODE 4 =========================================================== EPISODE 4

FLOOR 12
Okay, three circular walkways with SW, SE and E rooms. Your starting point is
in E room - check the orange terminal to turn E room around, enabling you to
exit. The general way to navigate the tower is fiddling with terminals - they
turn rooms around and connect walkways allowing you to poke around.

Note - in this area you can capture Flanitor, a very good MED monster.

Exit to middle walkway, and a robotic voice will say a number [1]. Go S, check
next terminal to rotate SE room and walk thru it to outer walkway. Robotic
voice will say number [2], walk W and examine next terminal twice to rotate SW
room. When you step out of it to middle walkwa, robotic voice will say number
[3].

An elevator descends in middle of the floor, so board it and fiddle with the
terminal to go to floor 14.

FLOOR 14
Here we have three circular walkways with W and SW rooms. Step off the elevator
and breeze W to middle walkway with Chocolina's (sells new acc). There is also
a scene of another elevator being lowered near outer walkway. Check the
terminal S from Chocolina twice to rotate W room.

Walk thru W room onto outer walkway into SW room (robotic voice will say number
[7]). Inside SW room examine the terminal twice to rotate SW room, then exit SE
to reach the aforementioned lowered elevator. Stand on it, and fiddle with the
terminal to rise to floor 15.

FLOOR 15
Here we have three circular walkways with SW and W rooms. Walk thru SW room
onto middle walkway, check the terminal thrice to rotate SW room and you can
now reach W room (robotic voice will say number [7]). Bash the terminal next to
W room twice to rotate it (robotic voice will say number [2]).

Examine the orange monitor in the room for LT040 (answer is 1237172 - or the
numbers robotic voice was spewing) and AF300 AUGUSTA TOWER FRAGMENT (01/01).
You also get Access Key TYPE-50, and that annoying screen effect is gone, too.

Leave for HC, and reenter AF200 Augusta Tower.

EPISODE 4 =========================================================== EPISODE 4
WLK18 AF200 AUGUSTA TOWER
EPISODE 4 =========================================================== EPISODE 4

FLOOR 50
Check the terminal that wouldn't budge before - since we have the keycard, a
connecting platform rises from below, allowing you to proceed toward SE room.
Inside is Chocolina with nothing new to offer, then talk to Alyssa. After the
scene go just a bit N and check the terminal to call up connecting platform
between middle and inner walkways - talk to Alyssa again for LT041 and board
the central elevator.

Fight thru three event battle before you reach floor 51.

FLOOR 51
Here we have three circular walkways (actually four, but I'm dismissing the one
around the elevator for the simplicity) and five rooms - SE, SW, S, NW and N.
Also, next to the elevator are four terminals which turn NW, W, SW and SE
rooms.

Operate terminal No.3 once, terminal No.1 once, and terminal No.4 thrice - now
you have access to N room. Inside examine the orange terminal to get Access Key
TYPE-52, then board the central elevator again. Check the terminal and choose
"Yes." to rise to floor 52, and LT042.

FLOOR 52
Here we have three circular walkways and four rooms - SW, W, NW and NE. Proceed
to SW room and check the terminal inside once to rotate SW room. Check into W
room, operate the terminal inside twice to get access to middle walkway. Here
operate No.3 terminal twice to rotate NW room, then back to W room and operate
the terminal inside twice to rotate W room. Now you have access to NE room, and
inside there's an orange terminal awarding you Access Key Top Floor.

Hoof it back to SW room, check the terminal once to rotate SW room, then board
the central elevator and choose "Yes." to rise to top floor. A wild Behemoth
has appeared...

TOP FLOOR
Chocolina's shop stop is here - perhaps you could consider buying weapons that
speed up ATB gauge by 25% or 30%? Think of it as a permanent Haste effect. When
you're done shopping, ascend nearby stairs, receive OOparts which activate the
orange warp gate on top floor and brace yourself for several bosses in a row.
