Dungeon 9 - Hyrule Castle Walkthrough - Guide for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

This is the very last dungeon of the game and the throne where Ganondorf sits. 
Make your way up to the higest room where Ganondorf holds Princess Zelda 
prisoner. There are many rooms in here that hold different treasures, I am 
only going to get you to the top and to the castle's treasure room. Now it is 
time to save Zelda and all of Hyrule again!

HYRULE CASTLE- FIRST FLOOR AND SECOND FLOOR
When you walk into the castle's outside courtyard, there are many Kargaroks 
out here. You can defeat some, but go to the right along the path when you are 
stopped by a twilight barrier. You will be ambushed with Bokoblin, so get 
ready to beat them. When all are defeated, the barrier goes away allowing you 
to continue through the eastern door. In this room, some Bokoblin sit atop 
wooden pillars and many other Bokoblin will attack you. Defeat the ones you 
can while dodging arrows from the guys on the pillars. Now walk around to find 
several wooden barriers. Look at the map and you will see a barrier in the 
center of this room. Go to the north here and then to the left. Here sit a few 
Boars. Get on one and ride it to the east where there are barriers. Hit A to 
charge right through the wooden barriers. Now continue north until you get to 
a stopping point. Walk to the west to see several pillars with windmills on 
them. Don't do anything yet. Walk foward until a gate stops you. Look down at 
your feet to see a pile of leaves. Use the Gale Boomerang on them to see a 
Triforce with a zigzag along parts of the Triforce. Now stand in the middle of 
the pillars and target the one closest to the gate, the below and to the 
right, then the one to the left of that one, then the middle one on the back 
row. This will open the gate if done right. Now go in there and into the left 
is a chest with your DUNGEON MAP. Now back outside of the small chamber where 
you found the Dungeon Map is a dig spot. It is along the north wall. Turn into 
a wolf and switch on your senses to see the spot. Dig to enter the dungeons 
graveyard. This room is home to many of the small skeletal creatures as well 
as a few ReDeads. Defeat them all, then go to about the middle of the room to 
the north. Now turn on your senses as a wolf to see some spirits looking up at 
a tree. In front of the tree is also a rock in the ground. Put a bomb on it to 
reveal a switch. Press it to open a gate to the east. There are also three 
Stalfos here. Defeat them then in here is a bowl of Lantern Oil. Get some if 
needed. No light the torch to make the rain stop! But only for a short time, 
so quickly run over to the west and light the two torches to make another 
small room open up. In here are two owl statues. Use your Dominion Rod to 
bring one to the south where you entered this room, and put the statue in the 
groove. Now go over and climb the steps, then hop across the tops of the 
statue until you get to a chain handle. Pull it to open a room with a SMALL 
KEY. Now exit back through the dig spot. Now back in here, use the Boar to 
exit out back to the first room. Now this time go to the left door. You will 
once again be stopped by an ambush of Bokoblin. Defeat them, then continue. 
Now in here walk up to be stopped again by more monsters. Defeat them, then go 
over to where the Bokoblins came from on the west. In here are four round 
things, continue north then east into a small arena. Walk up to meet a 
familiar face!
MID-BOSS BATTLE- KING BULBIN FINAL DUEL
Time to battle King Bulbin again! Use techniques like the Back Slice to get 
around him and slice him up. Repeat until he says, "I follow the stongest 
side. That is all I have ever known." Hey, I have know idea what that is all 
about, but it sounds like he is on your side! He also drops a SMALL KEY. Time 
to enter the castle!
HYRULE CASTLE- FIRST AND SECOND FLOOR
Now exit back out to the first room, then go north and use one of your keys to 
enter Hyrule Castle! Now walk up to ambushed again! This time there are 
Dynalfos' as well. Defeat them all to make the room light up and a treasure 
chest appear. Now go over to the left to see some small platforms. Go up to 
the top and Clawshot the closest chandelier. Now drop down in front of the 
chest which is your COMPASS. Now Clawshot the previous chandelier and lower 
yourself. Now Clawshot the northern most chandelier and drop in front of the 
door. Now enter. In this room waits a Darknut! Defeat it like usual using the 
Helmsplitter as your best move. Now the barrier will release. Now light the 
lanter to the east to make a platform rise. Climb up and stand on the edge of 
back platform. Now use the Gale Boomerang to blow out the western torch. This 
will make the back platforms rise, so run on it to rise up.
HYRULE CASTLE- SECOND FLOOR
Open the chest for a Purple Rupee. Now go to the left and open the door. 
Defeat the Dynalfos in here, then use your arrows on the second portrait from 
the locked door and hit the stings to make the portrait fall of the wall 
revealing a diamond switch. Hit it to make the south door unlock. Now open it 
to enter a room with two Darknuts! We want to battle them one at a time, so 
shoot one of the Darknuts with a Bomb Arrow. This will edge him foward, so 
beat him staying away from the other Darknut, then battle the next Darknut. 
This will unlock two doors. Open the southern one to be outside. 
HYRULE CASTLE- SECOND AND THIRD FLOOR
Now go along the path and go to the left and down the long corridor. You will 
be noticed by an Arealfos! Take care of him, then continue down the corridor 
and open the chest for a SMALL KEY. Now go down the next corridor on the other 
side to be noticed by two Archers and Lizalfos. Don't worry though, because 
Auru, Ashei, Rusl, and Shad are here to help! They defeat the monsters for 
you! Now go down and open the chest for the BIG KEY! Now go to the middle of 
the path and use a Small Key on the northern door.
HYRULE CASTLE- THIRD FLOOR
Oh yes! We're are getting closer! Now in here immediately transform into wolf 
and turn on those senses! Look foward to see a spirit. Walk up next to it and 
it will point. Jump over to where it points. Continue doing this with the rest 
of the spirits until you get to the other side of the room. If you jump the 
wrong way or get off the path just one block, the floor will collapse, so be 
careful! Now on this narrow path, jump across the platforms until you get to 
one you can't reach. Use your Clawshot on one of the lit lanters on the wall. 
Now drop down and enter here. Defeat the enemies, then continue. Now jump to 
the first ledge, then use your Clawshot on only the lit lanters on the wall to 
get to the other side.
HYRULE CASTLE- FOURTH FLOOR
Now defeat some more enemies, then get on your Spinner and use it to dodge the 
enemy spinners and get up. Now walk over to the door in sight when you are met 
by another Darknut! Defeat him, then before you enter the boss door, go to the 
east and use your last small key. Enter in here and what is this? There are 
thirteen chests in this room! They hold: a Green Rupee (1), Blue Rupee (5), 
Yellow Rupee (10), Red Rupee (20), Purple Rupee (50), Orange Rupee (100), 
Silver Rupee (200), 20 Arrows, 30 Arrows, 20 Bombs, 15 Water Bombs, 10 
Bomblings, and 50 Seeds. Wow! If you have the Magic Armor, you just got 
stocked up with rupees to fuel it! Now exit out and WAIT! SAVE YOUR GAME RIGHT 
NOW UNLESS YOU WANT TO BATTLE GANONDORF, THEN LATER WANT TO COME BACK AND DO 
THE WHOLE DUNGEON AGAIN! STOP NOW AND DO THIS SO YOU WON'T HAVE TO DO THE 
DUNGEON AGIAN! Now enter the door!
HYRULE CASTLE- FIFTH FLOOR
You will walk outside to a dark and windy place. This is very creepy. Go to 
the left or right and climb the stairs and enter the throne room!
BOSS BATTLE- FINAL COMBAT GANONDORF
STEP ONE- GANON'S PUPPET ZELDA
There are many ways to do this. I have heard that most of you just reflect the 
energy balls back with the Master Sword and keeping a distance. I don't do 
that! L-Target her and get right underneath her when she fires an energy ball 
and use a spin attack. If timed right, she won't be able to catch up to it. 
Repeat three times until she succumbs. Watch out for her triangle energy field 
attack.
STEP TWO- DARK BEAST GANON
Now he transforms into a giant beast like from Ocarina of Time! Start off by 
shooting an arrow at his glowing forehead to knock him down. Go over to his 
glowing scar on his belly and slice it up. Now he will transport around the 
room. Look for portals that will change colors. If you don't see any portals, 
he is coming from the ceiling so run away. But if you do see portals, the one 
that turns blue is the one where Ganon will come from. Shoot an arrow at his 
eye and then slice up his belly. Now he starts to dodge your arrows, so 
transform into a wolf. When he comes out of a portal. Press A to have Midna 
grab his head and throw him down to his side. Now turn back into a human and 
slice his belly. Repeat if needed.
STEP THREE- DARK LORD GANONDORF HORSEBACK
Now this is the toughest battle yet. Ganondorf now rides his dark horse which 
first made his appearance in Ocarina of Time. He also summons Phantom Riders. 
Now Zelda has asked the Light Spirits for Light Arrows. Get behind Ganondorf 
and L-Target him and if Zelda is good, she'll hit him. Now run over to him and 
slice him up. Repeat until he is knocked off his horse. 
STEP FOUR- DARK LORD GANONDORF FINAL BATTLE
Now is the original showdown with a sword! Use the Back Slice effectively to 
get to the Dark King. When he charges at you with his sword. Press A to 
Chance. Then press A repeatedly to knock him off and slice him up which will 
knock him on his knee. Repeat using all the Hidden Skills you know until you 
knock him on his back. Press A to give him the Final Blow! Congratulations! 
Make sure you watch the credits for a last scene. Good Job!! I guess you can 
call yourself Link- "Hero of Twilight"!
