Cradled in the scenic beauty of pristine farmland, the villagers of Ordon make a living by raising livestock. Among the villagers is a boy known as the most skillful rider in all the land. A boy who, it is expected, will one day take over the responsibility of leading Ordon as the village chief. His name is Link... Trusted and liked by all the villagers, Link is especially loved by the other children of Ordon, among whom he holds unofficial status as the leader of the pack. Link spends his days as a ranch hand and learns the ways of the sword from the village's lone swordsman, Rusl, in his spare time. He often displays his newly honed skills to the village youths, which makes him even more popular. One day Link is showing off his swordsmanship as usual, when a monkey appears. "Hey! That's the monkey that's been causing trouble all over the village! Let's get him," cry the children. They run after the monkey into the forest. Link rushes into the heart of the woods after them and is shocked to find that the dark thickets are teeming with countless monsters. After fighting his way through their ranks, Link rescues the child and the monkey from the cage where they are held captive. Until now, the forest had always been a safe place... The next day, after much encouragement by Rusl, Link prepares to set out and deliver the village's tribute to Hyrule Castle. Having never visited the castle before, Link is in high spirits as he prepares for his journey, but when his childhood friend Ilia notices a wound on Epona's haunch, she gives Link an earful for being so careless with his horse. In a huff, Ilia leads Epona away. Link tracks down Epona and Ilia at the mystical spring nearby and attempts to apologize for injuring Epona. But no matter how many times he says he's sorry, Ilia simply refuses to forgive Link. Then Colin, a young boy from the village how idolizes Link, steps forward to mediate the situation. Thanks to Colin's explanation, Link is finally able to get Ilia to drop her guard and talk with him. Having warmed back up, Ilia tells Link, " Come back safely, and don't do anything reckless!" Just then... A monster astride a huge boar comes crashing out of the forest. The fearsome monster and its mount break through the gate to the spring and attack the youths. Caught off guard by the sudden assult, Link is helpless to stop the monster from delivering a blow that renders him unconscious. Through the fog of his half-conscious mind, Link watches Colin and Ilia get swept off by the monster... ________________________________________________________________________________ Temple 1: Forest Temple Boss: Diababa Type Of Boss: Twilit Parasite Item(s) You Need: Gale Boomerang What Form: Human Description: (Battle 1) To beat Diababa, use the Gale Boomerang to lock-on to a Bombling (the spider-type bomb) and lock-on to one of the heads. Repeat to beat this form, but don't get too close or he'll attack. (Battle 2) You won't be able to attack yet, so use the Gale Boomerang on the heads til a cut-scene appears showing the Boss of the Monkeys holding a Bombling. Lock-on to the Bombling, then the middle head, but don't get too close or he'll attack. Slash the eye a few times and he'll rise attacking with the Poison Water. Evade it or you'll take damage. Repeat the process and you'll get a Heart Container (making a total of 4 hearts) and the first Fused Shadow. Temple 2: Goron's Mines Boss: Fyrus Type Of Boss: Twilit Igniter Item(s) You Need: Hero's Bow and Iron Boots What Form: Human Desription: To free Darbus, use the Hero's Bow and quickly aim for the Shining Jewel on Fyrus' head, but get back or he'll attack. When struck, get to one of the leg shackles and put on the Iron Boots and pull. A cut-scene will show Fyrus fall, so quickly take off the Iron Boots and attack his head. Get back fast when he gets up and aim for his head, when the Jewel shines again, fire with the Hero's Bow. Repeat the process to free Darbus. You'll get another Heart Container and the second Fused Shadow. Talk to Darbus afterwards and he won't remember anything (in other words, he didn't know that you saved him, but his head will ache though...). Temple 3: Lakebed Temple Boss: Morpheel Type Of Boss: Twilit Aquatic Item(s) You Need: Zora Armor, Clawshot, and Iron Boots What Form: Human Description: (Battle 1) When you first arrive, you'll notice that the arena is completely underwater. Swim to the bottom (or put on the Iron Boots), a cut-scene will show Morpheel's eye-the target-. With the Iron Boots on, use the Clawshot and grapple the eye, lock-on first, and shash it (if your lucky, you'll get more than 2 hits). After the assult, he'll bring out Water Bombs to protect the eye. Carefully Lock-on to the eye with the Clawshot, bring it to you, and attack. repeat to beat this form, but a word of advice: don't get too close or he'll grab you and throw you, causing you to lose 1 heart! (Battle 2) You need to take off the Iron Boots and swin fast, and fast you must, because if he gets to you, your fish food, so lock- on to his eye and fire the Clawshot. If you latch onto it, slash with your sword. He'll throw you off when you get done. Repeat the process to defeat Morpheel and get another Heart Container and the final Fused Shadow. Temple 4: Arbiter's Grounds Boss: Stallord Type Of Boss: Twilit Fossil Item(s) You Need: Spinner What Form: Human Description: (Battle 1)In order to damage Stallord, get on the Spinner and ride the rail around him til you get behind him. Jump off and avoid the Zombie Warriors he brings out to protect him, so they'll hinder your chances of attacking Stallord. And the Mini-Spinners are a pain as well, to avoid them, jump off the rail and get back on it. Hit Stallord's spine to damage him, but he'll summon more Zombies to protect him. Continue to defeat him...but is he dead? (Battle 2) To defeat the final form of stallord, get on the Spinner and get to the rail, eventually, you'll get to him. Avoid his attacks by jumping off from rail to rail. When he get's in front of Link, jump off to hit him. Slash the sword sticking out from his head. After that, he'll start bringing out Mini-Spinners. Avoid them by jumping off from rail to rail. he'll bring out more Mini- Spinners after each attack, but they disappear when he shows up. Kill Stallord and another Heart Container will be yours and a door leading to the Mirror Chamber will appear. Temple 5: Snowpeak Ruins Boss: Blizzeta Type Of Boss: Twilit Ice Mass Item(s) You Need: Ball and Chain What Form: Human Description: (Battle 1) To free Yeta from the Mirror's Power, use the Ball and Chain to hit Blizzeta, but be warned that she'll move towards you after each hit. Later, she'll have spikes formed around Blizzeta's shell, which makes her more faster, and starts shooting those Ice Monsters at you (but soime drop hearts, so get them when your low on health). Repeat to beat this form. (Battle 2) You need to keep running so you don't get hit by the falling pillars that follow Blizzeta, when it's over, quickly destroy some with the Ball and Chain so you'll have a chance of escape when she attacks. The remaining Pillars will surround you so watch the floor to find an opening, when they fall, get out of the way so she misses. Hit her with the Ball and Chain to damage her. Repeat the process to free Yeta and get another Heart Container and the first Mirror Shard. Temple 6: Temple of Time Boss: Armogohma Type Of Boss: Twilit Arachnid Item(s) You Need: Hero's Bow, Dominion Rod, and Spinner What Form: Human Description: (Battle 1) In order to defeat Armogohma, get out the Hero's Bow and aim for the eye, but be fast, or she'll shoot out a beam causing minor damage. When you hit her with the arrow, use the Dominion Rod to hit her. When she gets up, get out of the way or you'll get hit, but it causes 1/4 damage. She'll then bring out spiders hinder your chance of attacking, so mow them down with the Spinner. Repeat the process to defeat Armogohma, but there is something strange after the fight... (Battle 2) On the cut-scene with Link putting the Master sword away, he gets a look of surprise to see Armogohma still alive! But instead of attacking you, she runs AWAY from you, with the spiders protecting her. Just one hit with your sword on her eye will kill her. Another Heart Container and the second Mirror Shard will be yours. This is the wierdest boss sequence, but it is very hilarious, due to the music with her running away. Temple 7: City in the Sky Boss: Argorok Type Of Boss: Twilit Dragon Item(s) You Need: Double Clawshots and Iron Boots What Form: Human Description: (Battle 1) Put on the Iron Boots and use the Double Clawshots to get to a pillar. Wait to see Argorok and grapple to his tail. Repeat to beat this form. (Short, isn't it?) (Battle 2) On the cut-scene, flying plants will emerge from the ground, so you know what that means: an air-borne fight. It's almost like fighting Morpheel, but not in the water. Use the Double Clawshots to get to a flying plant (but make sure the Iron Boots are off) and grapple to plant to plant til he attacks, so when you get behind him, lock-on to his back and attack. Put on the Iron Boots when you land so you won't get blown away and get to the top again. But becareful because he'll start attacking twice, so when you avoid the first attack, go the opposite direction when he attacks again to get behind him. Repeat the process to defeat Argorok and get another Heart Container and the final Mirror Shard. Temple 8: Palace of Twilight Boss: Zant Type Of Boss: Usurper King Item(s) You Need: Gale Boomerang, Iron Boots, Zora Armor, Double Clawshots, Hero's Bow, and Ball and Chain What Form: Human Description: (Battle 1) Zant has many battle sequences involving going back to certain rooms you've been to, so be prepared. This room will resemble Diababa's Room. While avoiding his attack, use the Gale Boomerang to bring him down, then attack away. Repeat to beat this area. (Battle 2) This room will resemble Goron's Mine's Mini-Boss'. Put on the Iron Boots IMMEDIATELY because he'll start jumping on the edge of the arena, and ends it with a fury of Twilight Balls. Take off the Iron Boots and attack. Put them on again and he'll start warping. Repeat to beat this area. (Battle 3) This room will reflect Morpheel's Room. Put on the Zora Armor and put on the Iron Boots, a statue of Zant (ugly, ain't it?) will appear. When the door opens, he'll start attacking, but with the water's gravity, it will go slow, so side-step to avoid and quickly use the Double Clawshots to get him towards you and slash him. He'll go back inside and the statue will sink. Take off the Iron Boots and swim to the middle of the arena and 4 Statues of Zant will emerge. Use the C-Stick to find out which one he'll come out of. When you see him, swim to where he is fast, while avoiding his attack, put on the Iron Boots, and if your fast enough, use the Clawshot to bring him to you and attack. This area's clear. (Battle 4) This room will reflect the Forest Temple's Mini-Boss' Room. Take off the Iron Boots and follow him. When he starts attacking, roll into the pillar he's on, then hit him with the Hero's Bow, and slash away. Repeat to beat this area. (Battle 5) This room will resemble Blizzeta's Room. He'll grow huge and hover in the air. Keep running around the room til he lands, then use the Ball and Chain to hit his foot. He'll shrink down to size so slash him. Repeat to beat this area. (Battle 6) This room...Sort of...Resembles the front of Hyrule Castle. He has only 3 types of attacks, but performs them at random. He'll start swinging his Duel Blades slowly, so avoid him. The other two is him slashing fast, so evade him, and the final is him doing a Spin Attack rapidly while moving fast, evade that at all times. Whe you take him down the first time, he'll start warping while doing the attacks, so be on guard. Zan't's comos will end when he does a Spin Attack (at some point) so attack him fast. Repeat the process to beat Zant. A Heart Container and all 3 Fused Shadows will be yours again. Temple 9: Hyrule Castle Boss: Zelda(?) Type Of Boss: Ganon's Puppet Item(s) You Need: (none) What Form: Human Description: Ganondorf sure knew what he was doing when he took over Zelda's lifeless body for he knew Link can't kill her for if he does, he kills Zelda in the process, but he's in for a surprise! To save Zelda, you need to reflect her Energy Ball right back at her (like in Ocarina of Time). She has other attacks as well, one is her tackling you with her blade, so evade it, the second one is the one you need to be aware of: when the camera get's back, she's gonna use it, she'll form a triangle beneath Link, so evade it fast! Repeat the process to save Zelda, but the fights only begun! He'll have other forms, so I'll list them down seperatly. Boss: Beast Ganon Type Of Boss: Dark Beast Item(s) You Need: Hero's Bow What Forms: Human and Wolf Description: A classic on other Zelda games, but this time, he's on all fours. To beat this form, evade when the battle starts because he'll start charging at you, then he'll disappear. There are two types of attacks when doing this: 1) he'll come out of a portal, so use the C-Stick to find the portal, get out the Hero's Bow and when you see a portal with blue outlines, he's coming out of that one. Fire at the Shining Mark on his head to bring him down and attack his stomach 2) he'll appear above you and Body Slam you. Later, he'll start avoiding your arrows and tries a Body Slam on you, so transform into Link's Sacred Beast Form. Wait for him to come out of a portal, lock-on to him and hold down the A Button and move the Analog Stick either Left or Right to throw him down (they have the same effect) and attack. Repeat to beat this form. Boss: Ganondorf (on horseback) Type Of Boss: Dark Lord Item(s) You Need: (none) What Form: Human Description: This battle will take place on horseback. Avoid Ganon's attack or you'll be knocked off Epona (a little embarrencing since Zelda's with you), use a Spin Attack to get rid of the ghosts, they times drop hearts. Lock-on to Ganondorf til Zelda fires a Golden Arrow at him, use a Spin Attack on him and keep locked-on to him. Repeat to beat this form. Boss: Ganondorf Type Of Boss: Dark Lord Item(s) You Need: (none) What Form: Human Description: This is it, the final battle! The only way to beat Ganondorf is to use a Jump Attack when "A Chance" appears on the bottom screen, keep pressing "A" til you succeed and he's open for a direct attack. Becareful of his attacks. 1) he'll jump in the air and do a Spin Attack, 2) Kick you leaving you open and attack, 3) stabs you. Repeat the process til you knock him on his back, then use the Ending Blow to win. ________________________________________________________________________________ CONGRADULATIONS!!!! ________________________________________________________________________________ Chapter 2: Bonus Feature ________________________________________________________________________________ If your having a hard time finding all 7 Hidden Skills, this part of the FAQ will help you find all of them. 1) Ending Blow: Just before you enter the Forest Temple, you automatically learn this move. 2) Shield Attack (Death Mountain): In the place with a lot of geysers. 3) Back Slice (North Zora's River): Northeast of the Boat Shop, on a cliff. 4) Helm Spitter (North Faron Woods): At the beginning of the Sacred Grove. 5) Mortal Draw (Lake Hylia): On a cliff at the south end.
