                                I. INTRODUCTION
################################################################################

Temple Run is a game in which you control a treasure hunter who is escaping a
temple while being chased by hostile monkeys. You must slide and jump while
avoiding obstacles.

It's a very popular iPhone app -- it's been the #1 free app in the App Store
(in the United States, at least). And it's free!

Download it from the iTunes App Store below:
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/temple-run/id420009108?mt=8

                                 II. HOW TO PLAY
################################################################################

A note about an in-game tutorial
--------------------------------

To enable an in-game tutorial, go to the Options menu and enable tutorial. This
tutorial will walk you through the controls of the game, and then let you loose
on a level.

This tutorial will be far more instructive than this guide will be, but the
controls are below.

The controls
------------

* Swipe left - Turn left
* Swipe right - Turn right
* Swipe up - Jump
* Swipe down - Slide
* Tilt device left - Move to left side of lane
* Tilt device right - Move to left side of right

################################################################################
                                  III. STRATEGY
################################################################################

* The tutorial sometimes has you slide when you could've jumped (or vice-versa).
  Keep in mind that you can jump over fire and some other things.

* I always forget about sliding. Don't forget about sliding!

* To make sure that you grab all the coins when you're jumping, jump right as
  you pick up the final coin. I always used to jump too early until I figured
  this one out.

* Some areas, like on mossy rocks and wooden docks, don't have walls, and you
  can fall off the sides of them. Careful when tilting to pick up coins!

* Don't be greedy! I often run myself off the edge because I want money -- it's
  better to play it safe and get the money when it's less risky.

* Check out the powerups. It can make the game much easier (and much more
  interesting!), allowing you to get more coins and a higher score.

* 25,000 coins for $4.99 (~5,010 coins per dollar)
* 75,000 coins for $9.99 (~7,508 coins per dollar)
* 200,000 coins for $19.99 (~10,005 coins per dollar)

As you can see, it is a better deal to buy more coins at once (but why are you
spending any money on this game at all!?).

* Version 1.00 - 8 December 2011
  Instead of studying for my final exams, I wrote this short guide after I saw
  it on GameFAQs "Top 100 Most Wanted FAQs" page.

* Version 1.10 - 30 January 2012
  Kelvin Liu sent in a list of the upgrades for the items in the store; I added
  this. Also changed wording in a couple of spots, and did a spellcheck.
