This guide will help you play through this game from start to finish, completing all of the miissions whilst fulfilling all of those pesky mission parameters and optional objectives required for 100% sync. To fast travel to a chapter, go to the table of contents and copy the code next to the section of interest. Press CTRL +F and paste the code in there to jump down to where you want to go in a flash. A complete list of each side-mission, every type of collectible and their locations as well as a complete side-quest and achievement/trophy guide can also be located in the relevant spots below the walkthrough in the guide below. Enjoy! =============================================================================== Prologue [ACT000] =============================================================================== We begin the game as Desmond and we are leading the rest of our crew into a cave of sorts. Follow the linear path until a scene shows and a door opens in front. Slide down the ramp here and continue to the cavern in the distance. Watch the story scene. =============================================================================== Sequence 1 [ACT001] =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Sequence 1 - Part 1: Refresher Course [ACT01A] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Perform an air assassination. ] _______________________________________________] Weâll wake up in the animus in a training course of sorts. During this mission, weâll be familiarising ourselves with the controls (which have changed since the last few Assassinâs Creed games). Continue through to learn the ins and outs of map indicators, free running, climbing and killing. When you reach enemies during the sequence, the game prompts you to perform an air assassination, use free aim to put your reticule onto the target and then use the attack button to do it. This will complete the optional task for the level. Make your way through the rest of the course until you reach a doorway at the end to complete the training. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >> Note: At this point youâll earn the achievement/trophy âRude Awakeningâ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== Sequence 1 - Part 2: Deadly Performance [ACT01B] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > none! ] _______________________________________________] Continue walking forward until you reach a door marked with an exclamation point. Enter this to begin the mission. Climb the stairs in front and follow the set path until you reach your seat in the theatre. After the short story sequence, shimmy out of the rows of seating to the left and go to where the ladder shown in the scene was. Climb this and use the skirting at the top to shimmy around the corner to the right. Using the pillars, ledges and skirtings here, climb your way up to the highest level balcony overlooking the stage. Pick the lock here. Once above the stage, use the various props and platforms here to work your way to the opposite side of the room from the entry. Climb up and approach the door for another story scene. Press the attack button when the on-screen prompt appears. After the scene, an alarm will be sounded and things look a little more frantic in the theatre now! Thereâs no real trick to the next part, just follow the objective markers until you reach the exit. Head on through to finish the section of the memory. =============================================================================== Sequence 1 - Part 3: Journey to the New World [ACT01C] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Limit Health Loss to less than 10%. ] > Rescue James under 40 seconds. ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough. ] _______________________________________________] When you regain control, exit the cabin and work your way to the right and to the far side of the ship. Climb the stairs here to exit to the deck. After a short scene, youâll find yourself in a fist fight. The game will give you a couple of pointers about how to parry, attack, counter attack and disarm during a series of four one on one fights. Note that the optional objective â lose less than 10% of your health is also active at this point, so make sure to parry and counter as much as possible! Once the fourth fight has concluded, a story scene will play. Afterwards walk with the captain until you reach his cabin. After you are finished talking with the captain return below deck and back to your cabin. Following the next scene, exit the cabin, turn right and work your way over to the objective marker. Speak with the guy on the barrel. After the chat, turn right at the next door and speak to the chef in the far left corner of the room. The chef will tell you to go and speak with James, so follow your objective marker and talk with him. Follow him up to the deck for a conversation. When James is done, walk over to the stern of the ship. After the cut-scene, return down the stairs to the lower deck and turn left, cruise forward here and when prompted enter eagle vision mode. Check out the clue here. Afterwards, return to your cabin. When next we regain control, we will have picked up a sword and will have to fight off an assailant in one on one combat. Here the game will give you pointers on swordplay. Once you have killed him, another scene will play. Youâll now be in the midst of a storm. Follow the captainâs instructions and secure the various bits of rigging marked with objective markers. Climb the mast and release the sail when instructed. This will initiate a short scene and activate a second optional objective â save James within 40 seconds. Free run up the mast in front and across the various platforms until you can jump over to grab him. A short story sequence will run. Weâre back in our cabin. Climb the stairs to the deck to talk to the Captain. Then as indicated by the objective marker, climb the mast for a scene to complete the first memory sequence. =============================================================================== Sequence 2 [ACT002] =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Sequence 2 - Part 1: Welcome to Boston [ACT02A] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > None! ] _______________________________________________] After disembarking the boat, you'll be met by a new friend - Charles. Follow him for a short while and when the game prompts you to; check out the world map feature. Set the marker as requested and then exit the map. Work your way over to the general store and approach it. As you do, youâll see a short cut-scene and be given an optional task to collect Almanac pages for Benjamin Franklin. These can be collected out of the main mission and their locations will be marked on the map. Additionally youâll be able to find the locations in the collectibles section of the guide. Either way, you will want to enter the general store and purchase a sword and a pistol. Return outside and youâll find Charles nearby with a horse for you. Mount up and follow him. When you finally reach the Green Dragon Tavern, dismount from the horse to complete the mission. =============================================================================== Sequence 2 - Part 2: Johnson's Errand [ACT02B] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Kill 10 mercenaries using firearms. ] > Do not let Johnson or Hickey lose more than ] 50% of their health. ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough. ] _______________________________________________] Enter the green Dragon Tavern and once the initial scene has run its course, follow Charles up the stairs and around the corner until you meet a new character - Johnson. After a chat, youâll have a new objective, so return downstairs and exit. Run over and speak to the man leaning against the fence to start the mission proper. --------------------- Part 1 - Infiltration --------------------- When you regain control of Haytham, press the shoot button to take out the guard on the wall in front. Climb the wall in front and cruise over to the weapon rack indicated by the objective marker. Grab a musket. Move forward a short distance along the wooden platform and then look down to the left to see our two allies standing outside the gate with four guards blocking their entrance. Take aim and shoot one and your friends will help you eliminate the rest. There are four enemies in front of you, another group in the courtyard below to your left and another larger group further over into the courtyard below. You can either continue along the top of the wall or slide down to re-join your companions below. Either way you go, you will get spotted and all the guards will attack. After around 6-7 of them are dead a scene will play. Shoot the barrels near the door to blow it open and then continue through the new opening. Interact with the chest on the small wooden platform to the right for another story sequence. Kill the five enemies here for another short scene. You will be prompted to loot the dead bodies here. Doing this not only earns you a little bit of money, but will also replenish your ammo if you start to get low. Return out the gate and kill the four mercenaries that run in to attack you. --------------- Part 2 - Escort --------------- Now look at the mini-map, youâll be escorting these two guys back to the Green Dragon Tavern. They will walk and you will need to remain close to them. Wander too far away from them and you will de-synchronised and have to re-start from the previous checkpoint. As you walk between the corn fields, a group of enemies will attack from either side. A pair of musket men will appear on the farmhouse in front as well, so once youâve dealt with the melee threat, take cover behind the wagon and return fire until they are dead (this and the next section are a good point to rack up those kills for the 10 firearms kills optional task). Note that looting a musket from an enemy will kill them in one shot, but your pistol will take two shots to take them down. Continue along the path and you will be ambushed once again. This time, musket men will take up positions on two rooftops either side of the street. Take cover behind the wagon and eliminate all four of them to continue and complete the mission. =============================================================================== Sequence 2 - Part 3: The Surgeon [ACT02C] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Remain undetected. ] > Do not fail a single eavesdrop. ] > Eavesdrop on a moving group of guards. ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough. ] _______________________________________________] Enter the Green Dragon tavern and talk to Johnson. Afterwards return outside and talk to Charles to begin the next memory. ------------------------------ Part 1 - Information Gathering ------------------------------ Following the scene, continue down the road and eavesdrop on the conversation between our marked friends. Here the game will instruct you in how to blend into the crowd and how to eavesdrop â see the circle surrounding the pair? You have to stay inside that for the period of the conversation. After the first conversation, your objective marker will point you in the direction of a viewpoint, climb to the top of the building indicated and you can press the synchronise button to view additional areas on your map. Synchronising will reveal a green circle indicating the mission area and another bunch of chats highlighted with objective markers that you might want to listen in on. Each successful eavesdrop (2 did it for me) will reduce the green circle, pointing you towards your final conversation â a conversation in a square. For the optional objective, Iâd recommend eavesdropping on the pair of guards patrolling the area. For this eavesdrop, youâll need to alternate between hiding in cover and blending in with citizens as you follow them around the area. If you have not failed an eavesdrop and eavesdropped on the moving group of guards, those two optional objectives will be complete. You should also have been able to ascertain the location of the Surgeon. --------------------- Part 2 - Infiltration --------------------- Work your way over to the new green zone on the map. As you enter the restricted area, climb onto the rooves and work your way over to the objective marker to get there undetected for the optional objective. Drop down and then go and when itâs safe from the eyes of patrolling guards go and pickpocket the key from one of the targets. Return to the door for a scene. Inside weâll find three enemies with their backs to you. Sneak up and assassinate one, Charles will do the same to the other. Afterwards, assassinate the fellow interrogating our target to complete the mission. =============================================================================== Sequence 2 - Part 4: The Soldier [ACT02D] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Limit detection time to 15 seconds or less ] > perform 3x sequential combo kills. ] > Prevent snitches (drummers) from calling for ] re-enforcements. ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough. ] _______________________________________________] After a chat in the Green Dragon Tavern, weâll be teleported outside close to our next recruit. Speak to Charles who is leaning against the wall here to begin the mission. ---------------- Part 1 - Tailing ---------------- Once the scene is over, follow Charles through the fort until another conversation plays out. Youâll find yourself back out of the fort. We need to trail the indicated redcoat patrol through the streets. Note that one of the optional objectives is to be spotted for less than 15 seconds throughout, so be sure to keep your distance (but still maintain line of sight) and stay in cover when they stop to have a look around. After a minute or so, Charles will run out and distract them and then run off. They will give chase. Follow them until a scene plays. --------------- Part 2 - Ambush --------------- You will now have to fight off a few redcoats, however one of the optional objectives is to prevent snitches (the drummers) from calling re-enforcements. As soon as the scene finishes, one of them will high tail it down a nearby alley so either assassinate him before he can or chase him down or shoot him before engaging the rest of the enemies. Note also that you can do the three kill combo objective here as well. By countering and performing an instant kill on an enemy, press in the direction of the next enemy and hit the attack button, you should pull off a second instant kill. Repeat once more for the objective! Once all of the guards are dead, speak to Braddock to complete the mission. =============================================================================== Sequence 2 - Part 5: Infiltrating Southgate [ACT02E] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Find and kill the General. ] > Perform 3x stealth assassinations from a ] corner postion. ] > Avoid firing line damage. ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough. ] _______________________________________________] Head to the Green Dragon tavern and speak to Charles upstairs to begin the mission. --------------- Part 1 - Ambush --------------- Once the mission begins, you will find yourself on a rooftop. We are going to ambush the convoy as it passes below. Move forward and grab the musket. Once the convoy comes to a stop, open fire on the guards below, this will signal your allies to attack. You can continue to pop enemies with the musket or drop down to join in the melee. Once all the guards are dead a scene will play. --------------- Part 2 - Escort --------------- We are now on rails, with the game controlling the path of the convoy leading into the fort. As we are working our way up the road, our allies will be flanking the road ahead. We can give the signal to attack at any time and will need to do so to take out redcoat soldiers before they can detect us.Here are the encounters to look out for on your way to the fort: 1. Near the start, there will be two guards near the corn field on the left. 2. Next you will reach a pair of buildings across from each other, there is a group of guards on the right and a couple on the left here you will have to kill. 3. Just after the two groups in number 2, a dog will alert a single guard who will come around the building from the left, so down him as well. 4. Next a group will enter your line of sight from the cornfield to the right. 5. Finally you will see a large group of guards spread across the entire street ahead, take them all down with a surprise attack too. When you reach the gate a short story sequence will play. Weâll also be granted access to the fort. --------------------- Part 3 - Infiltration --------------------- Before we get going, letâs have a quick look around. There are three objective markers on the left hand side of the area. These indicate three groups of prisoners we can release from captivity, just ahead and to the right there is a small camp with a good number of guards about. There is also a general patrolling around this area that we can kill to fulfil one of the optional objectives. Letâs begin. Move down the hill along the road, have one of your assassins attack the enemy that threatens to detect you as he approaches. We are going to get the general first. Crawl into the bushes to the right of the haystack next to the road. Continue to the right behind the tent and into the next set of bushes. From here, you should be able to make out a pair of guards nearby and behind them the general who is marked with a red dot above his head. Note that only the general is looking in your direction. Get out of the bushes so he sees you and comes to investigate. Climb back into the bush and assassinate him when he gets close. Return back to the road. Now letâs go rescue those prisoners! Hug the large stone wall at the back of the area and make your way to the left between the wall and the tents. Ahead you will see a square wooden structure with a guard leaning against it. Take cover and assassinate him from the corner (we need three corner assassinations for the optional objective this is 1/3). Stay here and youâll see the first set of prisoners to the right. Wait for the guard patrolling in front of the prisoners to walk away from you and assassinate him. Interact with the prisoners to free them. Work your way across the camp to the second set of captives at the edge of the water. Use the brush here to hide from the patrolling guard, you can wait for him to go by the crates to the left of the prisoners, enter cover behind the same crates and corner assassinate him when he returns (2/3 for the optional objectives). Free the captives. Continue along the waterâs edge towards the boats. When you reach the wooden boardwalk, wait for the guard that patrols along it to head back towards the boat. When he does, move up to the edge of the dock and hide behind the large wooden boxes here, wait for the patrolling guard to return and corner assassinate him (3/3 for the optional objective). Climb up onto the boat at the end. Use the central cargo boxes to stealth assassinate the guard patrolling the centre without alerting the others and then walk over to the prisoners and assassinate the guard looking after them. Release the third set of prisoners. This will trigger a scene. ---------------------- Part 4 - Assassination ---------------------- As soon as you regain control, youâll be in combat. The game will also give you a quick tutorial on avoiding firing squad damage (this tutorial will also complete the optional task to do the same thing!). Kill any enemies attacking you directly and then leg it over to the fort in the distance. Climb up the rampart here to find Silas with a few mates, kill him to complete the memory sequence. =============================================================================== Sequence 3 [ACT003] =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Sequence 3 - Part 1: Unconvinced [ACT03A] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Use 2x breakable objects during a fight. ] > Limit health loss to less than 50%. ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough. ] _______________________________________________] -------------- Part 1 - Chase -------------- After a chat with Charles, hop on the horse nearby and follow him until you reach a campfire and a story sequence ensues. Once you can control Haytham again, follow the extremely obvious tracks in the snow ahead. When you reach the end, youâll be treated to another short story sequence. Afterwards our target will start running away in the trees ahead, follow here as best you can along the ground (the logs are good!). When you reach the next campsite you will be attacked by a group of three wolves. To take them down, you will have to wait for them to charge at you and press the two button prompts that appear on screen in order. Note that if you do get hit, the wolf will maul you and you will probably fail the optional objective (lose less than 50% health) so donât be afraid to reload the last checkpoint until you get the hang of it. Now we need to find the woman. From the campfire, look to the Northwest, you will see a platform in the trees here. Make your way up the hill towards the platform. As you approach, she will take off again. So simply follow her until she stops for a scene. Afterwards, walk up and talk to her one more time for another scene. -------------- Part 2 - Brawl -------------- Once that is over with, dive down to the hay below and run over to the town hall ahead. Enter the door. Inside you are going to want to listen to both of the conversations that the guards are having in the common area here. So eavesdrop whilst blending in. When you have the information, make for the exit. After a quick cut-scene you will be in open conflict. Now we can try for the other optional objective â use 2 breakable objects during a fight. To do this we need to counter an attack whilst standing next to a table or some other breakable object. Again you should be mindful not to let your health drop below 50% (for the optional objective). Once the fight finishes, the chapter will be complete. =============================================================================== Sequence 3 - Part 2: Execution is Everything [ACT03B] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Sabotage 2x cannon. ] > Do not kill anyone. ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough ] _______________________________________________] Track down Ziio in the frontier and sheâll allow you to start the mission. --------------------- Part 1 - Infiltration --------------------- We need to infiltrate the fort in the distance. Continue towards the objective marker. As you work your way up the road, you will see a horse drawn wagon heading for the fort too. Sneak up and jump into the back of this to ride it through the gate. ------------------------------ Part 2 - Information Gathering ------------------------------ Once you hop out of the wagon, climb into the bushes here. We need to eavesdrop on those guards in the distance. Continue past the well and into the bushes on the other side of the fence to enter the eavesdrop circle. Wait for the guards to patrol past to the left and when it is clear, run across to the opposite side of the road and climb up on top of the building here. The guards will cut a lap around this building so as long as we are on the roof; weâll be able to hear their conversation (just stay out of sight!). When they are done, drop down next to the tents on the upper platform to the left of the roof. We need to steal a map now. Directly opposite where we dropped down, you will see a bush we can climb into to hide. You will also notice a guard patrolling nearby. Stand out in the open so that the guard can see you, when he comes to investigate, quickly duck into the bushes and work your way over to the tent containing the map, duck inside and grab it quickly. Exit the tent, turn left and duck into the bushes just next to the tent against the wall. From here, observe the guard on the platform up the stairs in front, the first cannon is below him to the right (we need to sabotage two of these for an optional objective). When he is not looking, run down and to the right to tamper with the cannon (1/2). Quickly turn around and climb down the stairs to the left. If the guard spotted you and has come to investigate, jump into the hay here until he loses interest. When itâs clear, wait for the guard patrolling up and down the stairs leading to a lower area nearby to start down the stairs and then hop out and follow him down the stairs. Enter the bush lining the wall to the left here and follow it to the end. You will see the second cannon a little further in front. Wait for the guard to patrol away again, before running over to disable the cannon (2/2) and then jumping over the low wall into the water below (you can work your way back through the guards too, but the dive is less risky). Swim back to shore and return to Ziio to finish the mission. =============================================================================== Sequence 3 - Part 3: The Braddock Expedition [ACT03C] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Kill 2x militia without triggering conflict ] > Destroy 3x powder carts. ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough. ] _______________________________________________] --------------------- Part 1 - Infiltration --------------------- Head over to the Wright Tavern in Concord. After the short story segment, youâll receive a note from Ziio. Itâs time to go! Mount up with your crew and make your way over to where she has made camp. When you arrive youâll see a cut-scene. Afterwards youâll be on foot and close to an enemy camp. We need to kill one of these guys to steal their uniform. However one of our optional objectives is to eliminate two enemies without triggering open conflict. To do this, wait at the southern end of the camp for one of the patrollers to stand between a pair of trees with his back to you. Assassinate him (1/2) and then immediately get into some of the nearby bushes to hide. You will have been detected and as such our native friends will mosey in to attack. Wait for them to engage and then sneak up on one of the bad guys and assassinate him (2/2) whilst heâs occupied. Clear the rest of the camp of baddies for a scene. You now have a redcoat costume on, so Jump on the nearby horse and ride through the enemy convoy all the way up to the objective marker. -------------- Part 2 - Chase -------------- After a short scene, you will be in a horseback chase. Follow Braddock through the conflict being sure to avoid obstacles and to keep an eye out for the three powder carts along the way (shooting all three is an optional objective). Once you reach the end, a scene will play out. Youâll now be chasing your target on foot. Simply catch up to him and hit him with your hidden blade for another story scene. Following the scene, you will be back in Boston. Make your way to the Green Dragon Tavern and head upstairs to chat with your posse to complete sequence 3. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >> Note: At this point youâll earn the achievement/trophy âHow Dâya Like Them Apples?â. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== Sequence 4 [ACT004] =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Sequence 4 - Part 1: Hide and Seek [ACT04A] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Find all children without mistake. ] > Find all children in under 4 minutes. ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough. ] _______________________________________________] -------------------------- Part 1 - Investigate Clues -------------------------- Hey look weâre finally Connor! Itâs about time. Once you gain control, exit your home and follow the other children out of the gate to the village and into the forest. Weâll be treated to another cut-scene and when it is finished, weâll have to find the other children. If you look at the map, you will see that there is a green circle indicating the area in which the others are hidden. Additionally on the ground scattered about the place you will find clues we can interact with to reduce the search area. You will be able to complete the two optional objectives quite easily, just keep looking for clues and narrowing that search area until you find them! After you have found all four, it will be somebody elseâs turn. Pick a hiding spot and after a short period of time, a story scene will occur. --------------- Part 2 - Return --------------- When you wake up again, Connor will be a little groggy. Stumble your way back to the village. Once you are inside, head into the farther of the two large central buildings and run through to the other side. Upon exiting, check out the door to the building on the left to find it is locked. Look to the right for a large rock, head around the back of this to get into the building from the other side. Button mash the requisite button when prompted for a scene to finish the chapter. =============================================================================== Sequence 4 - Part 2: Feathers and Trees [ACT04B] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Find 3 more feathers than required. ] > Do not touch the ground or water. ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough. ] _______________________________________________] After talking with your buddy, the mission will begin. We are now learning how to climb trees. Run up the stump in front and into the tree. Climb up to the top, following the games instructions for a scene. You will now have to escort your friend through the trees over to the objective marker. Continue straight ahead with the free run button on and you should have no real issues, just be sure not to get too far ahead or you will desynchronise and will have to re-start. Once you reach the log over the water, hold up for a second and help your mate when he falls in the water. Continue across and up into the trees again until you reach another scene. Work your way up the trees to the cliff ahead and scale this to the top. Grab the feather here. At this point, explore the area for another three feathers (for the optional objective) - check your map for locations - before going over to talk with your buddy to finish the memory. =============================================================================== Sequence 4 - Part 3: Hunting Lessons [ACT04C] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Find 3 more feathers than required. ] > Do not touch the ground or water. ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough. ] _______________________________________________] This mission acts kind of like a tutorial on how to hunt, catch, lure and skin animals. Once the mission begins, the map will have a green circle that indicates where to find what you need to complete the section. Heres the rundown of what we need to do: 1. Find, shoot and skin a rabbit. 2. Investigate the clue and place a snare on the point of interest. Wait for your buddy to plant one as well. 3. Find a deer and use bushes to sneak up on it and take it down. Skin it. 4. Return to the snares and skin the rabbits you have caught. You now have to hunt and kill 5 animals for their meat. At this point you are given free reign over what you want to do. Note that all three optional objectives are tied into this specific point in the sequence. So whilst you are killing stuff, kill more than one type of animal (there are 4-5 around), air assassinate two animals, (Climb trees and air assassinate in the usual manner) and combine bait with a snare to catch an animal. Once you have all 5 pieces of animal meat, track down your friend for a short scene. When you regain control, you will be up against a bear. Use the on screen button prompts when required to dodge and then sprint away. You will need to get out of the red circle on the map to lose the bear. Once you are in the clear, return to the village. =============================================================================== Sequence 4 - Part 4: Something to Remember [ACT04D] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Avoid mid-air collisions, have no more than 2] overall. ] _______________________________________________] Speak to the Elder in the village to begin this memory. Once inside the building walk to the fire for another cut-scene. When the scene ends, you will have assumed the form of an eagle. Simply follow the flaming eagle in front of you and dodge all of the obstacles in the way. Work your way to the exclamation point on the map to enter the Davenport Homestead. Once in the new zone, head to the large mansion in the north of the area. Knock on the door. After the scene, head over to the stables. When the next day arrives, head back to the house and knock on the door again, then head around to the back door. After another scene, climb up to the balcony on the north side of the house and interact with the door here. Return to the stable. You will be woken in the middle of the night, after a short scene fight off the bad guys that appear (note that there is an optional objective to finish the segment with less than 50% health loss) and when they are all dead or dying a scene will play. Afterwards make your way over to the front door. After a short scene, follow Achilles down the stairs to complete the chapter. =============================================================================== Sequence 5 - Part 2: A Trip to Boston [ACT05B] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Escape within 1:20. ] _______________________________________________] Exit the house and walk over to Achilles on the horse wagon nearby to begin the mission. Once you get to Boston, follow Achilles until a scene plays. Head over to the nearby general store and give the vendor Achillesâ note. Return to Achilles. Follow him until you see a cut-scene. Afterwards, you need to tail the target, stay in cover and keep your distance to keep him to prevent him from detecting you. Once he climbs up onto the roof, follow him to the edge of the roof and assassinate him when told to do so. After another scene, you will now be wanted, simply escape from the area and back to anonymous. Upon doing so you will have completed the mission. =============================================================================== Sequence 5 - Part 3: Boston's Most Wanted [ACT05C] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Do not raise your notoriety to level 3 ] _______________________________________________] ---------------- Part 1 - Posters ---------------- After completing the previous mission, a messenger will approach and tell you to meet a new contact, Sam Adams. So head on over to the explanation mark and talk to Sam to start the mission. This mission is going to give you a crash course in notoriety and how to get rid of it. First up we need to take down two wanted posters, these are scattered all over the place so shouldnât be too hard to find. You will be on high notoriety until you manage to pull two of them down, so when you approach them either try to avoid the guards around or prepare for a fight. Once the two posters have been removed, return to Sam. A scene will play showing how you can bribe town criers to also reduce your notoriety. --------------- Part 2 - Escort --------------- Afterwards, you will now have to escort Sam to the Underground tunnels. As you make your way through the streets be sure to avoid the guard checkpoints as they always seemed to become hostile, no matter the notoriety level. Also, as per usual for escort quests ensure that you donât venture too far from Sam. When you reach the tavern, you will notice that all the alleyway entrances to the area are all blocked by guards, so climb over the roof and drop down into the courtyard. Quickly enter the hatch on the ground to enter the underground to complete the sequence. ------------------ Part 3 - Lying Low ------------------ Escort Sam through the underground tunnels until you reach the objective marker. ------------------------- Part 4 - Stop the Presses ------------------------- After leaving the underground area, head over to the golden objective marker to meet with Sam. In this scene weâll learn how to use printers to reduce notoriety as well. When you are done, follow Sam to the docks and speak to the harbourmaster to travel to the Homestead or fast travel to the frontier. =============================================================================== Sequence 5 - Part 4: River Rescue [ACT05D] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Do not touch the water when rescuing Terry ] _______________________________________________] -------------- Part 1 - Chase -------------- After returning to the Homestead from Boston, a man will appear in the window and ask for help. Exit the building and chat with him to start the mission. Follow Godfrey down the hill until you reach the river. As you arrive, you will see his friend floating down the river. You will have to run after him using the rocks and tree trunks use free run to go all the way down the river until you can rescue the man â you will have to dive in the water at the very end. Note that saving the man without touching the water will complete an optional objective for the mission (although diving at the very end of the course does not seem to count as touching water). After a brief scene, you will be back at the homestead. You will also receive notification that youâll now be able to recruit additional members to your homestead. ------------------------ Part 2 - Training Begins ------------------------ Meet Achilles in the shack down by the dock to start this mission. After a chat with the harbourmaster, return to the Homestead to talk with Achilles again. Heâll give you a spiel about the ledger in the homestead and the game will give you a short tutorial on how to use it. To complete the mission. =============================================================================== Sequence 5 - Part 5: The Hard Way [ACT05E] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Do not take any damage during the first ] section of the mission. ] > successfully brace when attacked three times ] > Use swivel guns to destroy two ships ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough ] _______________________________________________] ---------------------- Part 1 - Naval Mission ---------------------- After completing the previous quest, return to the harbourmaster and chat with him, he will open the navigation map for you. Choose the âThe Hard wayâ option to begin the mission. This mission, like the others in this sequence acts as a tutorial on how to use the gameâs ships. It will cover putting up sails to full/half mast, selecting weapons and instructing your crew to take cover when under attack. Take the wheel and work your way between the rocks until you reach the objective marker. Continue to follow the marker, avoiding the rocks as you go until you reach the open water. At this point, the game will point out cottages to the left. So make your way over there and follow the instructions to dock the ship. ---------------------- Part 2 - Naval Weapons ---------------------- After the scene on land, our ship will now have a crew and some cannons. That can mean only one thing, itâs time to test those out! Head to the stern of the boat and jump back on the wheel again to take control of the vessel once more. As the view changes to ship mode, you will see a pair of rocks in front with an objective marker between them. Sail over to this point and then complete the tutorial on how to use the cannons during a broadside attack and the swivel guns. --------------------- Part 3 - Naval Attack --------------------- Once training is complete, set sail for the next objective marker out to sea. You will be attacked by your first group of hostile ships. At this point, we can earn two optional objectives â successfully brace three times when attacked and use the swivel guns to destroy two ships. In general, when you are engaged in nautical combat, the aim is to manoeuvre your ship so that its side is facing your target. When you fire cannons, hold the button to charge them and when they are ready, you will see a white light appear on the water which indicates where the cannons will fire. Enemy ships likewise have a similar system, although their light on the water will be red. If you see your ship in the range of the red water, tell your men to brace immediately to avoid taking too much damage (try to do this three times for the optional objective). Use the swivel guns to destroy exposed barrels on two of the ships to complete the objective. These first three ships can be easily destroyed with the swivel guns, so be sure to use them to destroy at least two of the ships to knock over that optional objective first. After taking down the first three ships, a frigate will appear to attack.These ships can take a little more damage, but still should not cause you any real issues. At this point, you should have no issue with bracing to avoid enemy attacks to complete the optional objective. Following the story scene, Sequence 5 will be complete. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >> Note: At this point you will have earned the achievement/trophy âThe Day the Templars Criedâ. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== Power Source 1 - New York [ACT05F] =============================================================================== This is the first of three Desmond missions that has us visiting different places around the world to find power sources to help activate the ruins at our base of operations. As mentioned above, this short interlude has Desmond as the character of choice for players. There is not a whole lot to this level, it is fairly linear level and all you really need to do is use the various objects to free run through or climb up various sections of the skyscraper. When you duck under the door to exit outside, climb the crane to the right. At the top, use the hanging girders to go around the corner (what the hell are they doing out at night? Iâm sure thereâs a safety issue there!) and use the wiring to climb up to the next level. Turn right, duck under the blockage here and work your way up the various boxes and girders until you reach the top of the building. Climb the crane on the top of the building. When you reach the top, there will be a short scene. Jump off the crane, hit the button prompt when it appears on the screen and pilot the parachute down to the helipad below. Watch the scene to end the road trip! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >> Note: For completing this level, you will earn the achievement/trophy âCriss Crossâ. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When you return back to the underground cave, you will be given the option to insert the power source now, or to return to the animus. Letâs do the power source later (if you want to do it now, check out the walkthrough for the level Present - The End [ACT12C] and see power source 1). Enter the animus when you are ready to continue Connor's story. =============================================================================== Sequence 6 [ACT006] =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Sequence 6 - Part 1: On Johnson's Trail [ACT06A] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Limit firearm use to 6 shots ] > Use powder kegs to destroy the three crates ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough ] _______________________________________________] -------------- Part 1 - Brawl -------------- After the introductory cinematic, make your way to Boston and track down Sam Adams, chat with him to start the next memory. Walk with him until the next scene plays. Now help the Frenchman, Stephane defeat the redcoats. Note that the previous fight may have increased your notoriety to level 1. There is an optional objective to keep notoriety below level 2. So either track down a wanted poster or during the rest of the mission be careful not to do anything suspicious that will alert the guards or cause your notoriety to increase any further. As such, carefully work your way across Boston to the meeting area and enter the target door to meet a few new faces. ------------------- Part 2 - Liberation ------------------- Afterwards, run over to the docks. You will find a large circular restricted area here. This is where the crates we need to destroy are located. What we need to do is to sneak into the area, grab one of the explosive barrels from nearby, place it at the base of the target boxes and shoot it. Alternatively you can just go up to them and plant a small explosive device on them, but there is an optional objective for destroying them using the barrels so we may as well do it. Now, there are guards walking around and due to it being a restrictive area will not hesitate to attack you. You can use the water to easily approach the targets and if you do get into a fight with guards, ensure that you do not use the pistol (there is an optional objective to not use firearms more than 6 times). Once all three of the crates have been destroyed, we still have the additional objective of freeing the district from Templar influence. Follow the objective markers around the zone and there are a couple of different tasks to undertake â we are going to have to eliminate groups of tax collectors and kill a smuggler or two, just follow the objective marker â and remember to keep an eye on your notoriety and donât use your pistol! Once you have done everything, the mission complete screen will pop up. =============================================================================== Sequence 6 - Part 2: The Angry Chef [ACT06B] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Limit time in open conflict to less than 15 ] seconds. ] > Don't let Stephane's health drop below 50% ] > Perform 5 low profile assassinations ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough ] _______________________________________________] Return to the tavern and talk to Stephane to start this mission. Stephane is going to go all crazy and stuff and lucky for you, you are going to escort him through the streets as he picks fight with soldiers in his path. Note that you can run up to and quickly assassinate these soldiers before they attack to kill them quickly. This will reduce your time in open conflict and allow you to earn the associated optional objective. However to get the optional objective to kill 5 guards using low profile assassinations, you are going to have to kill them without them detecting you. Your best bet is to allow Stephane to attack them and then sneak up and knife them in the back. Here are the locations you will find the guards Stephane will attack: 1. There are 2 to the right after going around the first corner. 2. There are 3 at the end of the next street wrestling with protesters. You do not need to kill them as they will run away. 3. A short distance further there are 2 leaning against the wall of a building opposite a graveyard. 4. There are 4 of them around the next corner from the last 2 guards. 5. 2 walking down the next street. 6. Finally, 2 against a wall in a nearby alleyway. Continue following Stephane until a cut-scene begins. Afterwards weâll be able to send Stephane into the market to assassinate the target using the assassinate button. Do so for a story scene to end the mission. =============================================================================== Sequence 6 - Part 3: The Tea Party [ACT06C] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Dump 10 crates of tea into the water during ] the defense sequence. ] > Throw three redcoats into the water. ] > Perform an air musket assassination. ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough. ] _______________________________________________] When you are back in control of Connor, you are going to have to go and eliminate the two groups of guards highlighted with objective markers. Eliminate the group of five guards directly in front of your starting position. Once they are dead, continue across the boats to the left and kill the other group of guards here. Once they have all died a short story scene will play out. In this next section, look at the mini-map for the blue zone. We have a mate on each ship who we need to protect and to do so we will need to defend this against enemies. Whilst there is a little down time between enemies, be sure to pick up 10 crates from the deck of the boats and toss them into the water for an optional objective. Simply keep your eye on your map and kill the enemies as they approach. Be sure during this time to throw three enemies into the water. You can do this by countering and hitting the grab button to push them. Also during this time, you can loot a musket and when a guard is otherwise occupied on the dock below hop up on the railing of one of the ships and air assassinate him with a musket. Continue to kill the guards as they approach and once enough of the tea has been thrown into the river the mission will be completed. =============================================================================== Sequence 6 - Part 4: Hostile Negotiations [ACT06D] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Reach Johnson without being detected. ] > Do not let any of the Native Americans be ] killed. ] > Perform a swan dive to escape. ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough ] _______________________________________________] Once you begin the mission, have a look at your map. We need to infiltrate the red circle. Jump down and when you reach the river. Look to the right and youâll see a floating platform with a pair of guards on it. To the left of this is a group of reeds emerging from the water the entire way across the river. Swim across the river to the left of the reeds and when you reach the shore you will see two large rock formations. Climb up the rocks to the left and use the branches of the trees here to hop across to the other rock structure. From here we will be just above the floating platform in the river. Use the trees on the far side to work your way up to a higher area. Head over to the stone cliff opposite and climb to the top but do not climb over the edge; instead hang for a second until the coast is clear. Look to the left, see that stone ramp leading up to the left? We want to hop up on this and follow it to the end. Nearby you will find a tree stump. Make your way through the trees until you reach the cliff. Wait for the guards to move away then jump across to it and climb up. Approach the house to see a short scene. Note that after the scene, the game can place you in a couple of different areas automatically. Either way we want to climb up to the main buildingâs roof and go to the opposite side of the roof overlooking the meeting below. Identify Johnson and then air assassinate him before he has a chance to kill any of the natives. You will be treated to a quick story sequence in assassination mode. As soon as you return to normal mode, sprint directly away from the house and drop down to the lower rock path. From here find a rocky outcrop with a log sitting atop of it overlooking the river. Perform a swan dive from the end of the log. Simply swim forward and out of the red circle to complete the mission. =============================================================================== Sequence 7 [ACT007] =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Sequence 7 - Part 1: The Midnight Ride [ACT07A] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Do not trigger open conflict ] > Reach Prescott's house within 2 minutes ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough ] _______________________________________________] At the start of the chapter, you will be at the Homestead and receive a letter requesting your aide in Boston. So letâs head on back and make your way to Paul Revere to begin the mission. ------------------- Part 1 - Horse Ride ------------------- Once you regain control of Connor, you will be on a horse, with Revere behind us in the saddle. To work our way through this mission, we need to enter the green mission area on the map and follow his instructions to reach our destination. Try to stick to the roads as our three objectives are right around them and if you see a patrol of redcoats, note that they have itchy trigger fingers and will attack and because one of our optional objectives is to not trigger open conflict, it is best to stop when you see them and let them pass before proceeding. In the first target area, once you are told to go the rest of the way on foot, you will notice four buildings in your immediate area. There is also a redcoat patrol here. The door we want to knock on is the northernmost one in the area. Do so to trigger a scene. Afterwards weâll be back on our horse. Head for the next objective marker and follow revereâs instructions until you reach the next group of buildings. Here youâll want to knock on the door to the south (there will be a guy using a hacksaw just in front of it). Again, following the scene weâll be back on the horse. Follow the river nearby to the northwest and cross the bridge when you come to it (watch out for the redcoat patrol around here). Once you are over the bridge go and knock on the door to the first house on the left. --------------- Part 2 - Escape --------------- Itâs a trap! After the scene, you will be back on your trusty horse with Revere. You will notice that there is a new objective marker as well. We are now going to be hunted by redcoats and have an optional objective to reach Prescott within 2 minutes. Simply ride your way over to the objective marker and knock on the door in the dead centre of the green zone within the timeframe to complete the objective. After one more short scene, we need to ride over to Lexington, just follow the objective markers until you reach the target house and go inside to complete the mission. =============================================================================== Sequence 7 - Part 2: Lexington and Concord [ACT07B] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Kill an entire group of soldiers with a ] single order seven times ] > Rescue the civilian hostage ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough ] _______________________________________________] ------------------- Part 1 - Timed Ride ------------------- Head over to the exclamation mark in Lexington in the frontier to start the mission. When you are back in control of Connor, hop on the nearby horse and start making your way towards the objective marker in the distance. We need to reach Concord within three minutes, once you reach the next small township on the way, youâll receive an optional objective to rescue a civilian hostage. Keep an eye out to the left as you continue through the village to find the redcoats with the hostage (they will be marked with red dots above their heads). Quickly cross the bridge here to kill them and then hop back on the horse and continue to the objective marker. --------------- Part 2 - Defend --------------- After a story scene and a few tips from Barrett, you will now be on horseback and need to defend the bridge from the advancing British forces. There are three groups of soldiers here. One directly at the bridge itself and another group either side of it. As you approach each group you will see a circle appear on the ground around them. When you are inside the circle, you can give them the order to fire. Now, to complete the mission, we need to keep our eyes on the opposite side of the river and you will see the redcoats moving up to the river from the left, the right and the centre. They will form a firing line when they reach the position, so firing at them just before they are in order will inflict the maximum number of casualties. Note there is an optional objective to kill 7 entire groups with a single order, you should get this pretty easily as it will come with defending the bridge. We need to ride back and forth between the three positions and giving the order to fire. Try to get them to shoot before the lines or formed or if they are formed, between opposition shots. Once you have killed 130 British soldiers (should take 3-4 minutes) a scene will play to signal your success. Make your way to the objective marker to chat with Barrett to end the mission. =============================================================================== Sequence 7 - Part 3: Conflict Looms [ACT07C] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Cross Charlestown without taking damage. ] > Air assassinate a grenadier ] > Remain undetected whilst on ships ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough ] _______________________________________________] --------------- Part 1 - Sprint --------------- After the previous mission, you will find yourself automatically in Philadelphia where you will watch a scene. Afterwards continue down the hallway and exit the door at the far end. When we are back in familiar territory you will notice that we are in the frontier. Work your way over to the exclamation mark and speak with the man here to start the mission. Follow the man on horseback until you reach the encampment. Head over to Israel for a short story sequence. Once you can control Connor again, note the optional objective to cross Charlestown without taking damage. Unfortunately the boats in the harbour are shelling the village and there are a few guards around that will attack or shoot at us as we go through, so we need to avoid both. We are going to slide down the cliff nearby and enter town. Hop the fence at the bottom and run down the street towards the objective marker. When the building collapses in front, turn left and use the upper path next to the building to get around behind it. Continue along the street until the next corner and head to the left. Follow this to the end to reach the water. Swim out to the objective marker. ----------------------------- Part 2 - Infiltrate & Destroy ----------------------------- We are now able to complete the other two optional objectives: Air assassinate a grenadier and remain undetected on the ships. Swim to the northernmost of the two ships. Swim to the far side of the ship and climb up towards the stern (back) of the ship. Scope the area and look for the guard with the large back pack, fuzzy hat and the kilt on. This is the only grenadier on the two ships, so we will have to air assassinate him if we want to complete the optional objective. Note the various guards patrol patterns. We want to clear the back of the ship. Use the side of the ship to pull any patrolling guards you can into the ocean and then pop up and take any more patrollers down silently using corner takedowns. When only the grenadier is left, climb the rigging and air assassinate him. Go to the mast in the centre of the ship and interact with it to plant an explosive. Youâll then have 10 seconds to jump off the boat. Dive overboard and swim to the next ship. The southern ship is a little easier. Climb up from the side furthest from land again and note the guards on board. All of them are stationary bar two. One of them will patrol the central deck, whilst the other will patrol around the front of the ship. Pull the central patroller into the water and then when the patrolling guy at the front of the ship is not looking climb up and interact with the barrel. Quickly run and jump into the water. Once both ships have been destroyed, climb to the top of the mast indicated and interact with it to put up your flag. Dive into the water and start swimming back to shore to complete the mission. =============================================================================== Sequence 7 - Part 4: Battle of Bunker Hill [ACT07D] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Air assassinate Pitcairn without being ] detected ] > Cross the battlefield without taking damage ] > Kill fewer than four soldiers ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough ] _______________________________________________] --------------- Part 1 - Sprint --------------- When you are back on dry land following the previous mission, mount the horse nearby and follow the patriot back to Putnamâs camp. Walk forward and hop off your horse to watch a scene. Afterwards we need to run down the hill to the objective marker and take cover here. See the objective marker in the distance to the left of the hill? Thatâs where we need to go. Unfortunately, the soldiers on the hill will constantly be firing. Luckily the majority of them will all fire at the same time. Wait until you see the hill light up and when the shots re done, run to the next piece of cover. Continue to move between cover when it is safe to do so until you reach the marker. If you can cross the battlefield without taking cover you will complete the optional objective for doing so. Once you are at the objective marker, find the raised stone to your right and use it to access the trees above. Work your way through the trees until you reach a cliff you can climb to the area at the top. ---------------------- Part 2 - Assassination ---------------------- Weâll now get the optional objectives to limit kills on soldiers to 4 or less and to air assassinate Pitcairn without being detected. Tricky, but not impossible! Crawl through the low bushes nearby and follow the fallen tree to the left. At the end of the bushes here, wait for the patrolling guard to pass and then walk straight ahead and down to the next set of bushes to the north. Follow these to the end again. Once more, wait for the guard to patrol past and then run over and jump into the hay cart to the south. From the cart look to the left and you will see a series of tents with a single guard patrolling between them. Wait for him to start back to the south (and the guard patrolling in the immediate area is not looking) and then run over to the tents and hide in the bushes on the far side of them. Work your way to the next group of bushes to the south. From here we will be able to see a tree stump and a tree. Wait for the guard to start patrolling back to the north and then use the tree stump to climb the tree. Jump to the next tree to the left and from here to the flagpole below. From the top of the flagpole Target Pitcairn and air assassinate him. Head over to the frontier to find that it has now been added to the map. Cruise over to the exclamation mark (or fast travel if you prefer) and enter New York. ---------------- Part 1 - Tailing ---------------- As you enter, hop on the horse and walk over to the guy with the exclamation mark above his head nearby. Follow him into town until a cut-scene plays. Upon completion of the scene, you will have to tail the counterfeiter. You can climb the stairs to this right and follow him from above thanks to plenty of platforms and other objects we can climb on. After he rounds the first corner he will stop. He will cross the main street, so drop down and follow him. Climb the stairs to his right again as he enters the next side-street. He will get into a brief scuffle and then return to the main street. Drop back down and follow him into the next alley to the right. Walk through the grassy area and when he stops again, hide behind some cover to avoid detection. Heâll then enter a courtyard and meet with a couple of friends. You will need to eavesdrop on them. Afterwards follow him again across the next street and he will stop take cover behind the wall of the building to the left. Follow him down the alley to the left and take cover behind the fence. When he pops out of the well continue to follow him until he meets another mate. Unfortunately you are going to have to eavesdrop on these guys too, but this time they will be moving. Follow them and stay within range of their conversation. Use the people on street to blend in with and walls to take cover behind as you go. Make sure to equip coins as about halfway through street children will come up to you and unless you throw money on the ground, the noise they make will alert the guys you are tailing to your presence. When they stop, hide behind the wooden structure to the right. Follow them into the next alley for a scene. -------------- Part 2 - Chase -------------- Afterwards you will have to chase Hickey down. The optional objective here is to not tackle or shove anybody in the process. This is difficult however as Hickey will drop coins frequently to attract crowds to block your path. To avoid them, try to run to either side of the group as you pass. Once you have tackled Hickey a scene will play to signify the end of the mission. =============================================================================== Sequence 8 - Part 2: Bridewell Prison [ACT08B] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Kill fewer than two prison guards. ] > Reach Hickey within 2 minutes. ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough. ] _______________________________________________] ------------------- Part 1 - Pickpocket ------------------- Once you regain control of Connor, youâll be in a prison cell. Stand up and take cover on the wall nearby to eavesdrop on the inhabitants of the adjacent cell. Afterwards interact with the bed. After a short scene, follow the guard out of the cell and down to the lower level of the prison. Activate eagle vision and then head over and talk to Weems (heâs the one sitting in a chair at the table with the board game). Head over and talk with him. Play the game with him until the end of the conversation. Find the prisoner with the golden objective marker above his head and pickpocket the key from him and then return to your cell. When you are able, return down to the lower level prison and speak to Weems. Now you will have to pick a fight with the other prisoners to get thrown into solitary confinement. Once you have knocked out enough of the other prisoners, the guards will intervene and after a short cut-scene youâll find yourself in your new cell. --------------- Part 2 - Escape --------------- In this area the prison warden is wandering about. Wait for him to stand outside of your cell door and pick his pocket for the key. Connor will open the door. As you exit the cell, the warden will be to your left. Follow him around the corner and when he turns to the right, climb up the stairs at the end of the passage. In the next room you will find Weems. Talk with him and heâll allow you to access the VIP prisonersâ cells. ------------------- Part 3 - Infiltrate ------------------- We now have a new optional objective â reach Hickey in less than 2 minutes. It should be noted that being detected by guards in this section will result in desynchronisation and will force you back to the start of the area. As you enter the main room, wait for the guard in front of you to climb the stairs. Enter the cell just to your right and hide in here so you can see the guard we just followed. Wait for him to walk over to the opposite side of the room. Step out of the cell and wait at the foot of the next set of stairs. Wait for the guard to move past the top of the stairs and stop just to the left. Climb the stairs and turn right, quickly run over and interact with the marked door before you are detected. Easy and you should have been able to do it well within the 2 minute time limit for the optional objective. =============================================================================== Sequence 8 - Part 3: Public Execution [ACT08C] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Don't let any of washington's body guards be ] killed. ] > Kill the two enemy soldiers. ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough. ] _______________________________________________] As the level begins your hands will be bound. Simply walk through the crowd up to the platform with the nooses. A scene will play, when the button prompt comes onto the screen to signal the assassins hit the required button. When you regain control, Hickey will start sprinting away from you towards the far end of the square. Run through the crowd, killing the two soldiers as you go and then focus on killing Hickey to be rewarded with a short assassination scene. Afterwards, you will be back in Philadelphia again. Follow Achilles. Interact with the door to his right to end the mission and the sequence. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >> Note: for completing sequence 8 you will earn the achievement/trophy âCaged Wolfâ. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== Power Source 2 - Brazil [ACT08D] =============================================================================== Once again we are in Desmondâs shoes. From the start, turn to the left and climb the stairs a little further down the passage. You will be at a sports stadium near a ticket gate but with no ticket. Look to the right side of the room, you will find an open door below the glowing green sign. Once you reach the outdoor area, you will see a pair of Abstergo security guards. Duck into the bushes and work your way around the corner to the left. Enter the open door at the top of the small set of stairs here. Youâre back in the stadium! Turn right and follow the concourse. Walk in a group with some other spectators to avoid being detected by the Abstergo goons. When you see the Abstergo checkpoint to the left, enter the toilet straight ahead. Conveniently, there is a second exit to the toilet. Head through here and when you are back on the concourse head right again. Look out for another green sign along the right hand wall and duck into the open door here. Duck under the roller door at the end of the next room. Hop the rail in front and climb up on the slanted platform on the right. Jump to the forked beam and then over the fence nearby. Get to the higher platform and enter the open window. Climb the stairs and watch out for an Abstergo guard patrolling here. Follow him along the path until he stops. Blend in with some of the crowd here and wait for him to patrol back past you again. Enter the door on the left at the end of the hall. Head over to the far left hand corner and jump through the forked support and follow the beam all the way to the middle and then onwards to the room on the opposite side of the stadium. Exit the door and follow the hallway to the left. As you approach you will see a short story scene. You will now have to chase down the attacker. Follow him down the stairs and across the concourse avoiding the Abstergo agents that will try to stop you. When you find yourself in the outdoor area, you will find Cross, defeat him (easiest way is to counter and push him away) and any soldiers that are still after you. Once they are down, Desmond will retrieve the power source. Find the passage beside the blue sign, run through the ticket area, down the stairs and to the right to jump on a train to complete our Brazil road trip. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >> Note: You will earn the achievement/trophy âDaddy Dearestâ for completing this mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When you return back to the underground cave, you will be given the option to insert the power source now, or to return to the animus. Letâs do the power source later (if you want to do it now, check out the walkthrough for the level Present - The End [ACT12C] and see power source 2). Enter the animus when you are ready to continue Connor's story. =============================================================================== Sequence 9 [ACT009] =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Sequence 9 - Part 1: Missing Supplies [ACT09A] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Catch the cart driver within 30 seconds. ] > Follow the convoy without riding in the hay ] cart. ] > Kill three camp guards without being ] detected. ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough. ] _______________________________________________] After the introduction, make your way over to the explanation mark. Talk to George Washington here to start the mission. --------------------------- Part 1 - Gather Information --------------------------- Make your way over to the waypoint marker to find an abandoned church. Hop in one of the open windows for a short scene. After the scene, head out the door and examine the nearby clues. Note that there is a large group of redcoats that will patrol the road here and they will attack you on sight so avoid them if you want to save a little time. As per usual, with each clue you find, the search zone will be decreased. Once you have found enough, you will locate the cart with a lone guy examining it. This is the driver. Following the scene, the driver will run away. Note that you will complete an optional objective by tackling him within 30 seconds. Follow him and tackle him when you get the chance. Once you are able to move again, make your way over to the next objective marker. ---------------- Part 2 - Tailing ------ --------- At this point, you will have to follow the cart. The easy way to do this is to hop into the back of the cart, however there is an optional objective to follow the cart without riding in it. To do this you want to drop down to ground level and head over to the rocks to the left of the cart. Once the cart starts, hop up on these and use the trees and rocks along the side of the road to follow the cart along the left hand side of the road until it stops. --------------------- Part 3 - Infiltration --------------------- Once the cart stops, you will magically be inside the hay cart whether you rode it in or not. There is an optional objective in this next zone to kill three guards without being detected. Hang out in the hay for a second and wait for the guard to patrol past. Assassinate him from cover (optional objective 1/3). Hop out and follow the eavesdrop targets to the north, enter the bushes and stay in cover as you follow them. When you reach the small building on the left, take cover behind the crate to the right of it. Take cover here until nobody is looking and look to the left, you will find another guard behind a crate here. Assassinate him (optional objective 2/3). Pop into the bushes nearby and wait for the eavesdrop targets to stop and move on. As they do, assassinate the guy leaning on the crate to your left (optional objective 3/3). Follow the conversation down by the water by hiding in the bushes. After a short scene, kill all the mercenaries in the area to complete the mission. =============================================================================== Sequence 9 - Part 2: Father and Son [ACT09B] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Do not get detected whilst stealing the ] mercenaries uniform. ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough. ] ] _______________________________________________] Make your way to New York and track down the exclamation mark to start the mission. Follow your newfound ally up and across the rooves until there is a short cut-scene. Continue to follow him until you are back on the ground. After another short scene, you will have to go and get a soldierâs uniform. Head over to the red objective marker. Wait for the guard to walk away from his friends and when he is isolated, kill him. Loot the body to don the uniform. Note that if you can kill him without being detected you will complete the optional objective for doing so. This will complete the mission. =============================================================================== Sequence 9 - Part 3: The Foam and the Flames [ACT09C] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Do not let your ally lose more than 50% of ] his health. ] > Do not take any fire damage. ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough. ] _______________________________________________] -------------- Part 1 - Brawl -------------- Follow your friend around the corner for a scene. Afterwards, you will have to fight off the enemies. Whilst you do ensure that your partner keeps his health above 50% to complete the optional objective tied into that. --------------- Part 2 - Escape --------------- Following the scene, the building we are in will now be on fire. Note that there is an optional objective here to not receive fire damage. Itâs really not all that difficult, so be sure to stay clear. Follow your partner up the broken platform nearby and use the beams at the top of the room to navigate to the opposite side of the area. Continue towards the objective marker and after the platform collapses duck under the beams in front. Continue around the corner to the right and use the broken stairs to jump up to the platform above. Climb the wall here and jump backwards onto the suspended platform. Leap across to the opposite wall and climb to the top for a scene to complete the mission. =============================================================================== Sequence 9 - Part 4: A Bitter End [ACT09D] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Limit environmental damage to the ship to ] less than 20% ] > Stay within 500 meters of the schooner once ] the chase section begins ] > Achieve a combo kill streak of at least 3 ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough. ] _______________________________________________] After the previous mission has been completed, talk to your friend on the docks to start the mission. ---------------- Part 1 - Sailing ---------------- Pilot the ship through the passage until you reach an open area with a ship parked off to the right. Go and pilot the ship over to investigate. -------------------- Part 2 - Naval Chase -------------------- After a short moment, another ship will appear nearby, follow it. This is a chase sequence similar to some of those weâve had on foot in some of the earlier missions, we need to track down and catch up to the enemy ship. Note that there is an optional objective to stay within 500 meters of the enemy schooner. So be sure to keep your speed up, but watch out for rogue waves and lower your sails only when necessary to steer more accurately. --------------------- Part 3 - Naval Battle --------------------- When you reach the open water, a group of ships will ambush you. Use your weapons to take down all four of the ships with red markers. The ship that has the golden objective marker needs to be taken down with the chain shot and then boarded. Donât forget to look out for the red indicator in the water that will let you know fire is about to come in and take cover appropriately. Once the four ships have been eliminated focus on the target vessel. Once you have hit it with a few chain shots, it will stop moving. Crash your boat into it to board it. ----------------- Part 4 - Brawling ----------------- Note that whilst on board the enemy ship, you will have an optional objective to perform a kill streak of at least three, so keep that in mind as you engage the enemies. To start with, you need to kill all three officers on the deck. They have red objective markers to make things easier. Once all three are dead, youâll be given access to the lower decks. Work your way over to the door to the right and enter the door at the end and hit the attack button when prompted to complete the mission and sequence 9. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >> Note: For completing sequence 9 you will earn the achievement/trophy âTwo if by Seaâ. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== Sequence 10 [ACT010] =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Sequence 10 - Part 1: Alternate Methods [ACT10A] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Use a guard as a human shield twice. ] > Tackle the fleeing target from above. ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough. ] _______________________________________________] After the introductory sequence, fast travel to the frontier and then to New York.Track down the exclamation mark and speak to your buddy from the previous sequence to start the mission. ----------------- Part 1 - Brawling ----------------- Continuing onwards from the scene, follow Haytham until you reach a vantage point overlooking the officerâs meeting. Once the cinematic is over, drop down to the area below and kill the enemies here. At this point, you can earn one of the optional objectives â use guards as human shields twice. The officers will hang out at the far end of the room and shoot constantly, so when they are doing it, be sure to pop a guard in the way a couple of times. Once all of the soldiers have been defeated, continue over to the officers who will surrender for a scene. -------------- Part 2 - Chase -------------- Follow the guard drown the street and into the first alley to the right. Follow him through the back yard and back to the main street. Heâll turn a corner and begin to slow down, continue after him as he ducks into a side street to the left. Climb the stairs on the left side of this street and from the top jump down onto the target to tackle him from above to complete the optional objective. Following the scene, youâll be at the fort. You will also have a pistol out. Push the guard through the fort as you follow Haytham until a scene plays to complete the mission. =============================================================================== Sequence 10 - Part 2: Broken Trust [ACT10B] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Stop the Kanien'keha:ka using only non-lethal] methods. ] > Do not touch the ground during the horse ] chase sequence. ] > Stop the patriot messengers within 3 minutes.] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough. ] _______________________________________________] Return to the frontier and make your way all the way over to Washington for a chat to start the mission. -------------- Part 1 - Chase -------------- Ride your horse down the hill and across the river on your way to the objective marker. Follow the dirt path up the hill here and continue along it. You will need to kill all of the patriot messengers in your way. Killing all of them within 3 minutes will complete the optional objective that asks you to do just that. The objective to not touch the ground is also in force during this sequence. Here is the order of riders we need to stop and hoiw to deal with them: 1. On the ground to the left of the road. Shoot him. 2. A group of three riders. You can shoot all three or stand in your saddle and jump over and assassinate the trailing rider and then shoot his two friends. 3. One more rider, you may have to shoot him twice to kill him. Once the five messengers have been killed, ride towards the objective marker. Enter the village and speak with the Clan Mother. --------------- Part 2 - Defend --------------- After the chat, exit the village and make your way to the objective marker. Our Native American friends are moving into attack the loyalist camp. We need to stop them before they reach the restricted area. To complete the final optional objective for the mission, make sure you are unarmed, sneak up on each of them without letting them detect you and take them down without killing them. Once all of them have been neutralised a scene will play, press the action button when prompted to end the mission. =============================================================================== Sequence 10 - Part 3: Battle of Monmouth [ACT10C] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Neutralise a platoon with a single cannonball] eight different times. ] > Kill two platoons using a single cannonball. ] > Prevent three different patriot executions. ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough. ] _______________________________________________] After finishing the previous mission, make your way over to the exclamation mark in the southern part of the frontier. Speak to Lafayette to begin the mission. --------------- Part 1 - Defend --------------- Once gameplay resumes, you will be behind and in control of a cannon. From here you will be able to look down the road in front of you to see a large number of advancing redcoat troops. Our goal is to defend this area for three minutes. To do so, we need to fire the cannon at the approaching army. Note the circular marker on the ground in the distance. This is the location where our cannonball is going to land when we fire. The British forces will advance down the middle of the road as well as from areas to both the left and the right. There are a couple of optional objectives that can be achieved using the cannon and should come with little difficulty and natural progression. We need to take down a platoon of soldiers with one cannonball shot on eight different occasions and also to take down two platoons with a single shot. Simply have the cannon move left to right, taking out the groups as they move into your firing range. Continue pounding away until the timer runs out. ---------------------- Part 2 - Timed Retreat ---------------------- Following the cannon sequence, we will retreat. We have three minutes to reach our allies. During this retreating sequence we will be able to complete the final optional objective â stop three patriot executions. Sprint down the hill towards the objective marker in the distance. Continue along the road, and after you pass the first house, you will see the first execution taking part just to the left of the road. Kill all the redcoats to save the patriot soldier (stop execution 1/3). Continue towards the next objective marker. After the second time it jumps forward, youâll be able to see a second execution happening in front of a house to the left. Again kill the redcoats to break it up (stop execution 2/3). Head back to the road and keep onwards towards the objective markers. You will see the final execution taking place to the right of the road, so stop that from happening (stop execution 3/3) and then continue running towards the objective markers until a scene plays to complete the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >> Note: For completing this level you will earn the achievement/trophy âGrim Expectationsâ. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== Power Source 3 - Italy [ACT10D] =============================================================================== Itâs time for the third and final Desmond mission. In this level we will be back in the Abstergo facility in Italy that the entirety of the first game was played out in. Upon entering, move forwards until you see a scene with the guards. Kill them when you are able to do so. Enter the elevator on the back wall of the area. When you regain control, youâll be in an elevator shaft, climb up to the open door above opposite the windows. Grab the guy looking into the shaft and drop him to his death before quickly jumping out and killing his two mates. Continue down the hallway to the left and enter the open door. Kill two more guards in this next room. Continue along the catwalk in the next area and kill the group of three guards blocking your path. Turn to the right when you are able and kill the next set of three guards at the end of the walkway. As you engage them, another pair of baddies will jump out of the windows to the left. Kill all five of them and then climb in through the broken window. Enter the door to the left; hey itâs that room we spent the first game in! After a short story sequence involving Cross, he will run off so follow him back into the previous hallway and kill the two guards that are now here. At the end of the hallway turn right and follow him until another scene occurs. Hop through the now broken window and jump down to ground level. Kill all the Abstergo security forces down here and then look out for Cross. He will be hopping around on the various platforms and climbable surfaces above the room. When you get the chance, tackle him to trigger a scene. Following the scene youâll be on a lift. Upon getting off the lift, kill the four guards who comprise the welcoming party. Continue forward and kill another pair of enemies who emerge from a door to the right. Afterwards continue to the left. Kill another 5-6 enemies in the next area and then a further two once the door at the fare end of the room opens. Once it is all clear, the woman huddling in the corner will open the door opposite the counter for you. Walk through and into the next room for a scene; press the action button when prompted. Afterwards, simply walk towards the exit and use the apple to eliminate all the enemies in your way. Exit through the door to end the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >> Note: You will earn the achievement/trophy âThe End is Nighâ for completing this road trip. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When you return back to the underground cave, you will be given the option to insert the power source now, or to return to the animus. Run over to your ship and interact with the exclamation mark to view the sailing map. Select the exclamation mark here to begin the mission. --------------------- Part 1 - Naval Battle --------------------- This mission features a large scale naval battle. Huzzah! During the first part of this mission, you can earn the optional objective to destroy a ship using only a single broadside (cannon fire) on three different occasions. As you begin sail with the two friendly ships towards the objective marker. There are two battles ahead, so get ready to fight! ----------------------------------------- First battle â Destroy the loyalist fleet ----------------------------------------- There are eight enemy ships waiting for you. There will be one large ship and seven smaller schooners. Broadside the schooners to take at least three of them down with a single volley for the optional objective and then eliminate the remaining ships. As always, donât forget to take cover when you see the red indicator in the water! Killing off a few of these vessels will cause another five to enter the area and join the battle. There will be another four of the small schooners and another large ship to destroy. After a short scene, the next battle will commence. --------------------------------------------------- Second battle â Destroy the loyalist re-enforcement --------------------------------------------------- Next up another four schooners and a larger ship will appear. As you kill these another three ships will show up. These are the frigates. There is an optional objective tied into these ships. You will have to destroy two of them by with the swivel gun. To do this, we need to damage the front of the frigate (either with a broadside or by crashing into it) to expose the powder barrels; shoot these to destroy the boat. -------------- Part 2 - Brawl -------------- Once all of the enemy ships have been dealt with, follow your allied ship. Once it sinks, sail over to the green circle on the map. When you arrive, ram the massive man-of-war ship to board. After a short scene, you will be on the deck of the ship. At this point, you are tasked with assassinating the shipâs captain. Before you do that however it should be noted that this is your opportunity to complete the optional objective to kill five enemies with a counter attack. Engage the crew until you have your five counter kills and then tack down and kill the captain. Following the short cut-scene, you will have 10 seconds to escape the ship. Follow the golden objective marker and jump off the ship to complete the mission. =============================================================================== Sequence 11 - Part 2: Lee's Last Stand [ACT11B] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Lose less than 50% health during the mission.] > Remain undetected on the way to the signal ] fire. ] > Reach the signal fire without being detected.] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough. ] _______________________________________________] After the previous mission, you will be back on dry land. Make your way to the exclamation mark in the southernmost part of New York and enter the hatch to the underground. Work your way through the tunnels to the exclamation marker and speak to Lafayette to begin the mission. --------------------- Part 1 - Infiltration --------------------- Once we are in the military district, weâll have three optional objectives to attempt. We have to reach the top of the lighthouse within 3 minutes, remain undetected on the way and lose less than 50% of your health during the course of the mission. At the start you will be in a well. Grab the enemy in front. Climb the building to the right. Continue along the rooftop here to the far end and jump to the building opposite. Continue over the next two rooftops, being sure to stay out of the guards lines of sight. When you reach the gap that is too large to jump, hop over to the building to the right and use the beam here to jump to the V-shaped tree and from there to the next building. From this roof we will now be able to see the lighthouse ahead. Hop to the building in front and to the left and from here look down at the courtyard below. Jump down into the hay cart below. If you face the target building, there will be a guard patrolling the elevated circular platform to the left of the light house. There is a second guard to the left who will patrol around the corner of the building behind us and back again. There will be an additional guard behind us and to the right who will patrol up to the hay cart and then away again. You can assassinate the guard on the right from cover if you wish. When none of the guards are looking, quickly sprint over to the lighthouse and use the scaffold on the right to get a shortcut up and climb the building to the platform indicated by the marker. Interact with the torch here. Following the instructions above, I reached the torch undetected with 55 seconds remaining. After the cinematic, Connor will be a little groggy. Work your way over to the red indicator and as you approach a scene will play. -------------- Part 2 - Brawl -------------- When you regain control, you will be in a small tunnel looking out at a courtyard. Exit for a scene. You will now have to fight the bad guy here. He is quite strong and you will be unable to kill him in the normal way. To do it, you will need to counter his attacks when you are near an environmental object (tables, barrels etc.) to damage him with it. Once he has taken enough damage, a scene will play. Press the action button when indicated to complete the mission and the sequence. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >> Note: For completing sequence 11 you will have earned the achievement âDifficult Endâ. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== Sequence 12 [ACT012] =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Sequence 12 - Part 1: Laid to Rest [ACT12A] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Kill less than 15 guards over the course of ] the mission. ] > Escape the ship without entering open ] conflict. ] > Kill the ship's captain. ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough. ] _______________________________________________] After the cut-scene to introduce the chapter, weâll be in New York. -------------- Part 1 - Brawl -------------- Follow the alleyway in front and exit into the graveyard in front of the church. Move towards your target and a scene will play. After the scene, hit the button prompt when it pops up on the screen to free yourself. Now you will have to kill all five of the mercenaries in the immediate area. Return around to the right of the building in front and kill the rest of the marked enemies here. After another short conversation, make your way to the objective marker and when you reach the docks, hop into the water and swim out to the boat in the harbour. ------------------- Part 2 - Infiltrate ------------------- Note that one of the optional objectives is to kill less than 15 guards during the mission. After fighting off all the guards at the start of the mission you will have killed 13/15 already (although if you are able to perform a double kill on some of them, the number may be lower). Thatâs alright though as weâll only be killing two on the ship. At the southern end of the ship closest to shore, climb the rope here and climb up. Shimmy around the boat to the right and climb the poles to access a higher set of handholds, shimmy back to the left to the south of the boat. Climb to the top deck here and wait for the guard to look away and then hop up over the railing and to the roof nearby. From here jump to the next roof to the right. Drop down over the side facing the water and shimmy to the window to eavesdrop on the conversation inside. After the conversation, drop down to the series of wooden supports sticking out from the ship below. Hop along them to the right. When you go around the corner you will see a guard on a platform overlooking above. Jump into the water below and swim to the right around the back side of the ship until you reach the opposite side. You will see a platform in the water here populated with three guards with stairs leading up to the ship behind it. Wait for the soldier on the stairs to start climbing up to the deck again. Hop out onto the barrels at the end of the floating platform behind the three guards and then jump over to the side of the ship. Quickly shimmy back to the left to the stern of the ship. When you can go no further to the left, climb the side of the boat up as far as you can but donât climb onto the deck just yet. Hang off the platform here and wait for the guards to patrol away before climbing up to the platform above. Climb up on top of the building in front and drop down the other side. Take cover behind the crates next to the window to eavesdrop on the next conversation. Following the conversation, weâll be able to jump off the boat to safety if you like, however if you do that you will miss the opportunity to try for our next optional objective. We need to kill the Captain. After the conversation, follow the guard walking in front of the cabin to the opposite side of the ship. Assassinate him. Return to the boxes we took cover in whilst eavesdropping the second time. After a few moments the captain will return up to the deck. Wait for him to walk past and he will go and run over to investigate the dead body. Sneak up on him and assassinate him. Jump into the water to finish the mission. =============================================================================== Sequence 12 - Part 2: Chasing Lee [ACT12B] =============================================================================== Optional objective/s: ] ] > Stay within 50 meters of Lee at all times ] during the chase sequence. ] > Do not shove or push anyone during the chase ] sequence. ] > Don not take any fire damage. ] ] > Complete all objectives in one playthrough. ] _______________________________________________] ----------------- Part 1 - Identify ----------------- After the previous mission, fast travel to the Frontier. From here fast travel to Boston and make your way to the door marked with the exclamation mark and enter it to start the mission. Youâll find yourself outside. Make your way over to the objective marker at the harbour. Swim out to the green zone in the water. Climb up onto the platform in the middle of this area. Activate Eagle vision and walk around the area until you find the golden target â he should be on the dock in front of one of the ships in the southeast of the circular area. Approach him for a scene. -------------- Part 2 - Chase -------------- Unfortunately you will now have to chase him. Just a word of warning - trying to complete this chase with all the optional objectives tagged onto it was definitely the most frustrating experience in the entire game. So try not to break a controller. During the sequence, we will have to stay within 50 meters of the target at all times, additionally we cannot push or shove anyone or take any fire from damage during the sequence. Hereâs the run of things: 1. There will be four groups of guards forming check points along the dock that the target will run through. You need to run around either side of them and hop over the objects to avoid the guards. 2. At the third group, jump down to the platform down the stairs to the left. 3. At the end of this area, hop to the boat and then across and up into the burning ship. Note if you havenât touched anyone, you will earn that no push/shove objective at this point. 4. Inside the ship, avoid the fire at all costs! Duck under the fallen wall in front and climb the wall to the right. Use the beam and the V-shaped support here to jump over to the far platform. Once the roof collapses, hop over the low wall and out the door. 5. Go round the corner to the left and hold the free run button to quickly make your way through the obstacle course. Eventually you will end up on the top deck with your target. Approach him for a scene. ------------ Part 3 - End ------------ After the scene, slowly make your way over to the harbourmaster. Heâs marked with the objective marker. When you regain control of Connor, walk up to the door of the building in front of you and enter. During the scene, press the button when prompted to complete the mission, the sequence and the whole of Connorâs story! =============================================================================== Present - The End [ACT12C] =============================================================================== Once you have returned from any one of your Desmond road trips, you will have obtained a power source that can be used to power up the ancient temple. There are three different control panels that we will need to insert the power sources into. Placing a power source into a socket will open a route to the subsequent power source panel. Once all three of the sources have been inserted, a bridge will form beyond the blue holographic wall. -------------- Power Source 1 -------------- Whilst looking at the blue door, look to the left to see a platform across the gap. Jump across tot he ledge on the other side. Climb the set of stairs here and enter the room to the left at the top. You will see a short story scene. Afterwards, climb the stairs at the back of the room to the very top. Jump across to the metal platform on the left and follow it around to the right. Climb the wall at the end and shimmy accross the metal bar to the left. Jump over to the next metal bar and follow it to the right and jump over to the platform. Another story scene will play. Head through the open door to the right and interact with the corner panel here to insert the power source. This will open an area which will give us access to the next power source slot. Return to the main room. -------------- Power Source 2 -------------- Standing next to the animus whilst looking towards the blue door. Turn 180 degrees and you should be able to see an open doorway to the left. Head on inside for a story scene. Once the scene is done, hop up the broken stairway to the left and then again up to the next level. Continue up the next set of broken stairs for another story sequence. Afterwards, continue up the next set of broken stairs and enter the open door to the right at the top. You'll be on an upper level platform overlooking a room below. Drop down to the ground floor and look at the main structure in the centre of the room, there are square doors here. The farthest door to the left is open. Head on inside and climb up and into the hole in the wall. At the very top, head on over to the left to find the console. Insert the power source and then return to the main area. -------------- Power Source 3 -------------- Standing next to the animus whilst looking towards the blue door. Look to the right to see a pair of slanted supports. If you have inserted the two previous cores, you will now see a set of stairs between them. Head over here and climb the stairs. Turn right and jump across to the other side of the broken walkway. Continue up the next set of stairs and into the room at the top for a short scene. After the scene, note the glowing pillars on the far side of the room, use these to access the upper platform at the back of the room on the left. Run through the passage here and go through the door to the left. Jump down to the poles below and across to the other side of the room. Climb the shimmering wall here to the top. Turn to the right and move to the end of the platform for another story scene. Once the scene has run its course, run and jump to the glowing wall accross the gap in front. Work your way along the walls and suspended glowing pillars to the right until you reach another platform. Drop down and follow it to the end to find the final power source socket. Inser it and then return to the main room. After you have completed all of the animus sequences, Desmond and co. will automatically go and retrieve the key. When you regain control, you can walk over to the blue door and open it. Inside run across the bridge until a scene plays. Congratulations, you have completed Assassin's Creed III! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >> Note: for finishing Desmond's story you will earn the achievement/trophy 'No Good Deed Goes Unpunished'. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- =============================================================================== Epilogue [ACT013] =============================================================================== After completing the main game and watching the credits, you will find yourself back in the Animus in control of Connor. There are two Epilogue missions that we can now undertake. Both of these consist of a scene that gives us a little idea of how the world moves on following the events of the game. Here are the locations you want to visit: 1. Epilogue: Kanatahsehton Head over to your village in Kanien:keh and speak with the man huddling in front of the fire. After a scene, youâll unlock a fast travel point. 2. We need to liberate both of the main cities from templar influence, track down and find Captain Kidd's buried treasure, join a number of club factions and see what they offer in terms of side-missions and challenges, pimp out our homestead, liberate all of those pesky templar forts and unlock all of the underground fast-travel points in the game... And thats before we take on the miscellaneous fetch and assassination contracts! ...Thats a lot of content, so we had better get started! =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Peg Leg's Trinkets and Captain Kidd's Treasure [PLQSTS] =============================================================================== =============================================================================== I've placed the Peg Leg trinkets and captain Kidd's Treasure side-missions first as they are the longest, have optional objectives to go for and are the most closely related side-quests to the game's campaign missions. To undertake these missions, you must first talk to Peg Leg near the harbormaster at the Davenport Homestead and give him the Peg Leg trinkets that can be found lying around the gameworld (location guide here: [CLTBPL]) Once you have handed over a sufficient amount, he will reveal a location on your naval map that you can explore to find a piece of a map. During this mission you will actually liberate Central Boston, so you do not need to worry about that one anymore! For each of the remaining five districts of Boston and New York, you will need to look at the map and identify icons that look like a cross with a diamond in the middle of it. These indicate the locations of one of the liberation tasks. Once enough of the tasks have been completed, the rest of the markers will disappear and youâll be able to pick up a short, simple mission from your contact in the area. Completing these contact mission, will allow you to recruit said contact as an assassin afterwards (Yes you only get six in the whole game!). Run after the fleeing target, avoiding the guards that try to block your way and kill him. > Free a civilian held captive by guards: Kill the guards guarding the prisoner and then interact with the stockade to free the prisoner. -------------------------------------- Recruitment Mission - Gangs of Boston: -------------------------------------- After completing enough of the liberation side-missions in North Boston, you will be able to receive a mission from Duncan Little at the contact objective marker. You will be tasked with killing the templar leader. He is located at the end of the northernmost dock in Boston. fight your way through with the help of your assassin recruits. Once the templar is dead a scene will play to complete the mission. At this point, Duncan Little will have joined your ranks as an assassin and you will earn the assassin ability - Bodyguard. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- South Boston: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ambient side-missions: > Chase and kill a military pursuer: When you find these guys, they will be mounted and chasing another person riding away on a horse. Kill the mounted enemy either by chasing and taking him down with your hidden blades or even easier - shoot him. > Eliminate a conscripted prisonerâs escort: As you wander the area you will find groups of 3-4 guards escorting two friendlies about. Kill the guards to free the conscripts and complete the task. ---------------------------------- Recruitment Mission - Martial Law: ---------------------------------- After completing enough of the liberation side-missions in South Boston, you will be able to receive a mission from Clipper Wilkinson sitting on a bench outside a house marked with an liberation objective marker. You will be tasked with killing the templar leader. When you start the mission, you will be facing him. Simply go into your assassin moves wheel, select the marksman ability and target the templar. YOur assassin will snipe him, as he dies a scene will play to signify mission completion. At this point, Clipper Wilkinson will have joined your ranks as an assassin and you will earn the assassin ability - Marksman. =============================================================================== New York: [LBQSNY] =============================================================================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New York Northern district: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ambient side-missions: > Free three families from eviction: In several places, you'll see families being forced out of their houses by guards. Kill the enemies in front of each house. To complete the task. > Defend three farmers whilst they harvest crops: A small blue circle will appear on your mini-map around the farmer. Enemies will rush in to attack. Simply kill them whilst defending the farmer for a minute or so. > Beat up three merchants to help starving children: In some places, you will see merchants in an agrument with children. Defeat the merchants and their cronies using only unarmed combat to complete this liberation task. ---------------------------------------- Recruitment Mission - Hoarding Supplies: ---------------------------------------- After completing enough of the liberation side-missions in North New York, you will be able to receive a mission from Dobby carter at the farm building in the West section of the area to start the mission. You will be tasked with killing the templar leader. He is located outside a building sitting in the middle of the lake in North New York. Either fight your way in or swim across and stealth assassinate him. Once he is dead a scene will play to complete the mission. At this point, Dobby Carter will have joined your ranks as an assassin and you will earn the assassin ability - Lure. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New York Western District: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ambient side-missions: > Burn three bundles of infected blankets: Approach the blankets in question, klll any enemies guarding them and then when its safe to do so interact with them to set them on fire to complete the task. > Put down three rabid guard dogs: You will find rabid guard dogs, often near guards. You will need to kill them to complete the task. Note that if you can kill them undetected, things will be much faster as if they get a whiff of you, they'll bark and alert guards to your presence. > Carry three sick civilians to the inoculation clinic: In several areas around the district, you will find sick civilians. To complete this task, you will need to pick them up and carry them back to the clinic in the centre of the area. ----------------------------------------- Recruitment Mission - Protect the Clinic: ----------------------------------------- After completing enough of the liberation side-missions in West New York, you will be able to receive a mission from James Colley at the inoculation clinic in the West section of the area to start the mission. You will be tasked with defending the clinic against several waves of enemies. Either fight your way through them all solo, or summon your assassins to give you a hand. After a couple of waves, the templar leader will show up with some re-enforcements. Once he is dead a scene will play to complete the mission. At this point, James Colley will have joined your ranks as an assassin and you will earn the assassin ability - Ambush. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New York Eastern District: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ambient side-missions: > Prevent three Executions: When you happen upon the executions, kill the five enemies comprising the firing squads lining up to shoot the civilians. Once they are all dead you will have completed the task. > Beat up three leaders to Obtain information: You will find these patrols made up of three regular guards and a captain. Kill or defeat all of the regular soldiers and the captain will surrender. After a short scene, you will recieve some information and complete the task. > Plant false documents on three snitches: After talking to a friendly civilian indicated with a blue objective, marker you need to Walk up behind the yellow target on your map and pickpocket them in order to plant the false documentation. ----------------------------------------- Recruitment Mission - In the Wolf's Lair: ----------------------------------------- After completing enough of the liberation side-missions in East New York, you will be able to receive a mission from Jacob Zenger from the marked building to start the mission. You will be tasked with killing the templar leader. He is located on one of the ships docked in the harbour to the East of the area. As with the mission in North New York, you can either fight your way in or swim across and stealth assassinate him. Once he is dead a scene will play to complete the mission. These factions will provide you with a number of side-missions and three tiers of challenges each to enrich your Assassin's Creed III experience. This section will outline requirements for joining each club, walkthroughs for any of the club side-missions, a list of challeneges you will need to complete for each club in order to earn 100% synchronisation along with tips on how to unlock them. The missions require that you track down all of the old Boston Brawler tournament Champions and best them in hand-to-hand combat. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Part 1: Peter Bunyon: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You'll find Peter Bunyon in the North-eastern part of the Troy's Wood hunting region. Approach him and hit interact to begin the fight. To beat him, dispose of his three buddies and then focus on him. To finish quickly, simply counter attack him when he attacks you and throw in a couple of melee attacks when he stumbles. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Part 2: The Sailor: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You'll find The Sailor in New York on a boat docked just to the south of Fort Washington. Approach him and hit interact to begin the fight. The Sailor is essentially the same as Peter Bunyan. To beat him, dispose of his three mates and then turn your attention to the Sailor. To finish him off quickly, simply counter attack him when he attacks you and throw in a couple of melee attacks when he stumbles. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Part 3: The Smuggler: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You'll find The smuggler in Boston in an open area on the western side of South Boston. Approach him and hit interact to begin the fight. The Smuggler is actually a pair of guys. Again, both of these guys are essentially carbon copies of the Sailor and Peter Bunyan. As with the previous fights, dispose of their entourage and then focus on them. To finish quickly, counter attack as they attack you and throw in a couple of melee attacks when they stumble. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Part 4: The Stinger: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You'll find The Stinger in the central-eastern part of the Diamond Basin hunting region. Approach him and hit interact to begin the fight. The Stinger is a little different from the previous enemies, as he will be able to counter attack you on a counter attack, ruling that move out. Instead, you will need to counter and then hit the break defense button. Follow this up with a few additional melee attacks. repeat until he goes down. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Part 5: The Ropebeater: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Ropebeater hangs out in one of the ship building workshops in Boston. Approach him and hit interact to begin the fight. The Ropebeater is a little tricker than the previous fights as you will be unable to hit him at all unless you use environmental elements. To beat him down, you will need to counter him near one of the barrels scattered around the room and then throw him into them. After 4-5 barrels, the Ropebeater will be defeated. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Part 6: The Merchant: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Merchant is located in North New York just to the south of Fort Division. Approach him and hit interact to begin the fight. The Merchant, like the Ropebeater is a little different from the rest of the enemies we've been beating up before. The only way I could find to damage him was to counter and then trhow him into the fence and then whilst he is standing up, get a few melee attacks in on him. Repeat this process until you whittle his health away. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Part 7: The Tournament: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the first 6 fights, you'll need to return to Boston and to the brewery. For some reason in my game, the objective marker for the Brewery did not show up. It is located in south-eastern corner of Boston's North District in the courtyard of the building closest to the docks. Approach him and hit interact to begin the tournament. > Fight 1: The Redcoat - This guy is fairly easy as he'll be susceptible to all of the counter-attacking options at your disposal. Once you get him down to half health, a scene will play. When you regain control, he will now have full health again and a sword. Disarm him and then continue to press the attack until he goes down. > Fight 2: The Docker - After taking all of the Docker's goons out. Counter attack him until he falls over. > Fight 3: The Surgeon - This fight will be a little different to the previous ones, the Surgeon will poison Connor, causing the screen to be a little fuzzy and out of focus. Other than that, the fight plays out essentially the same as the previous one. After eliminating his friends, take him out. > Fight 4: The Huntress - Kill all of the Huntress's minions and then you can focus on the Huntress herself. She is susceptible to counter defense breaks and throws. During random points during the fight a second Huntress will apppear and tackle you. This will reset the health bar. This will happen a few times, so just keep pressing the attack until you knock her out. For finishing off the Huntress, Connor will be crowned champion of the Boston Brawlers and with that, the side-mission draws to a close. That can mean only one thing, its time to go and complete all of those Boston Brawler challenges! =============================================================================== Boston Brawler Challenges [CLBBBC] =============================================================================== Once you have joined the club, you will be able to undertake these challenges. Note that they are retrospective as well, so if you have completed some of them prior to joining the club, you will find that once you do join, they have already been completed. The challeneges can be viewed and their progress tracked from the Logbook in the map menu.For convenieance, I have listed them all below along with tips on how to achievem each. Without further ado, here are all the challenges: ---------------- Challenge Set 1: ---------------- > Disarm 5 enemies > Kill 5 enemies affected by a Smoke Bomb within 10 seconds > Stealth Kill 10 enemies > Kill 25 enemies with the hidden blade > Kill 10 Officers > Achieve a 5-enemy Kill Streak For completing all of these challenges, you will unlock the second tier of challenges to try your hand at. ----------------- Challenges Set 2: ----------------- > Fight and kill 10 Grenadiers > Kill an enemy with every type of weapon: > Perform 5 Double Assassinations > Have your Recruits assist Connor in combat 10 times > Liberate 3 Forts Again, for completing all of these challenges, you will recieve the next (and final) tier of challenges to try your hand at. ----------------- Challenges Set 3: ----------------- > Achieve a 7 Enemy Kill Streak > Use the Rope Dart to perform a predator move 5 times > Own every weapon available in the stores > Disarm and kill 5 Jagers with their own weapons > Defend yourself from a firing line 10 times with a human shield =============================================================================== The Frontiersmen Club [CLBQFT] =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Frontiersmen Side-Missions [CLBFTM] =============================================================================== There are six Frontiersmen Club side-missions that ask you to travel to some of the more isolated places on some of the maps to track down some unusual sightings ranging from UFOs to sasquatches. These side-missions can be picked up from several locations in the Frontier and Boston and are indicated on the map as a symbol with a white triangle that has a black tip. You can undertake each of these side-quests by approaching either the campfires in the Frontier or by chatting with the indicated contacts in specific taverns in Boston. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 1: The Boy who Cried Wolf: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After picking up the quest, look at the map. You'll find the quest marker just to the East of the river in the centre of the Diamond Basin hunting area. When you reach the marker you will find a Frontiersmen's camp. Explore the camp site for clues. Kill the wolf that attacks you to complete the mission. Return to the Frontiersmen's campfire or tavern to pick up the next quest. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 2: Finding the Sasquatch: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After picking up the quest, look at the map. You'll find the quest marker in the very north-western corner of the Frontier map in the Black creek hunting area. When you arrive at the marker, you'll be in an area with a waterfall. Interact with the clues in the search area to narrow it down. When you find the cave entrance head inside for a scene to complete the mission. Return to the Frontiersmen's campfire or tavern to pick up the next quest. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 3: The Haunted Lighthouse: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After picking up the quest, look at the map. You'll find the quest marker on the peninsula in the very north-eastern corner of the Great Piece Hills hunting region. When you arrive at the destination, examine the clues in the nearby area and by that, I mean climb up the lighthouse and examine the scarecrow on the top deck to complete the mission. Return to the Frontiersmen's campfire or tavern to pick up the next quest. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 4: The Headless Horseman: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After picking up the quest, look at the map. You'll find the quest marker just inside the eastern boundary of the Troy's Wood hunting area. When you arrive at the destination, examine the clues in the nearby area and after examining enough of them, a scene will play and when it ends you will have completed the mission. Return to the Frontiersmen's campfire or tavern to pick up the next quest. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 5: Unidentified flying object: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You'll find this side-mission in Boston. You'll find the quest marker for this in the north-western corner of southern Boston near the water. When you arrive at the destination, examine the clues in the nearby area and then climb the tree nearby and examine the object here to complete the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 6: Monster of the Sea: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After picking up this side-mission from one of the Frontiersmen from a tavern in Boston, we need to head up to northern Boston and eavesdrop on the highlighted conversations on the map. Afterwards, chat with the old woman by the grave and then head over to the green highlighted search area to the west of the map. Examine the diving gear here to complete the mission. With all six of these missions complete, we have finished off all of the Frontiersmen's side-missions, all that is left to do is to complete the Frontiersmen's challenges. =============================================================================== Frontiersmen Challenges [CLBFTC] =============================================================================== After picking up the initial Frontiersmen side-mission 'The Boy Who Cried Wolf' you will be able to undertake these challenges. Note that they are retrospective as well, so if you have completed some of them prior to joining the club, you will find that once you do join, they have already been completed. The challeneges can be viewed and their progress tracked from the Logbook in the map menu. For convenience, I have listed them all below. Without further ado, here are all the challenges: ---------------- Challenge Set 1: ---------------- > Perform 10 Leaps of Faith > Reach 5 Viewpoints > Discover 5 Underground Network Entrances > Discover the locations of all the forts > Explore the canopy by traveling 100 meters > Collect 5 feathers For completing all of these challenges, you will recieve the second tier of challenges to try your hand at. ----------------- Challenges Set 2: ----------------- > Dive into the water from a height of 50 meters > Complete an Almanac > Climb a total of 1,500 meters > Discover the location of every Trading Post > Listen to all of Washington's conversation Again, for completing all of these challenges, you will recieve the next (and final) tier of challenges to try your hand at. ----------------- Challenges Set 3: ----------------- > Reveal 100% of Boston's Map > Reveal 100% of New York's Map > Reveal the whole Frontier Map > Reach all the Viewpoints > Discover all of the Underground Network Entrance in New York and Boston > Visit every tavern in the Frontier, New York and Boston =============================================================================== The Hunting Society [CLBQHS] =============================================================================== Once you have completed the story mission in sequence 4 â Hunting Lessons, you will be able to track, trap, hunt, kill and skin animals. You will see many of these animals wandering around as you explore the frontier and by killing and skinning them you will obtain furs and other animal products that can be sold to earn a little money. Once you have killed and skinned a few animals you will be invited to join the Hunters Society. There are a number of Hunterâs Society side-missions and challenges to engage in. =============================================================================== The Hunting Society side-Missions [CLBHSM] =============================================================================== To begin the Hunterâs Society side-missions you must first locate one of the hunting lodges hidden away in the frontier. Although the game indicates plural when it talks about the lodges, I was only able to find one. It is found in a fairly remote location in Black Creek. Here is where you can find it: > Black Creek â Look at your hunting map. This lodge is located at the Eastern end of the Black Creek hunting region, close to where the Kanien:keh, Diamond Basin and Black Creek boundaries meet. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 1: The Man-eater: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You will find this bear on the south part of the western side of the Packanack region. Here you will find a green circle. Enter this and examine the clues, once you find a clue, the search area will narrow. Once you have examined the third clue, you will have located a cave. Make your way through the cave and youâll see a couple of dead bodies. When you reach the large room with the bushes on the right, an indicator will appear here. Backtrack down towards the exit and pick up the body here, carry it back to the main room ad drop it where indicated. Hide in the bush nearby until the bear enters the room. Exit the bush and kill the bear. Youâll need to undertake seven button prompts as they appear on the screen, as opposed to the normal four when taking down a bear. When its dead, skin it and return to the hunting lodge. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 2: Feline Feet: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You will find this bobcat in the northern part of the Black Creek region, just to the north-west of Fort Duquesne. Here you will find a green circle. Enter this and examine the clues, once you have examined the clue, the bobcat will appear behind you and run off. You can either chase after him and become incredibly frustrated with being unable to catch him or alternatively, you can hit him with a ranged weapon as soon as he appears to take him out. Note that if you use poison darts, you will kill him without damaging his pelt. When its dead, skin it and return to the hunting lodge. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 3: The Patriarch: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You will find this deer buck in the south-eastern part of the Kanien:keh region. Here you will find a green circle. Enter this and examine the clues, once you have examined the clue, you will need to enter eagle vision to find the golden deer. This is your target. In my game, I found the deer patrolling back and forward along a dirt path below a rocky outcropping. To kill the deer, I waited for it on the rocks above the path and air assassinated it as it walked by. When its dead, skin it and return to the hunting lodge. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 4: The Pack Leader: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You will find the alpha wolf in the southern part of the Black Creek hunting region, directly to the south of Fort Duquesne. Here you will find a green circle. Enter this and a pack of wolves will appear. In order to find the boss, kill three of the wolves in the area. This will lure out the alpha wolf. Track down the black wolf marked with the red objective marker and kill him. When its dead, skin it and return to the hunting lodge. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 5: Acute Cat: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You will find this deer buck in the Eastern part of the Kanien:keh region,just to the East of the village. Work your way to the top of the cliffs overlooking the river here. Work your way along the paths until you reach the objective marker. Here you will find a green circle. Enter the green circle and you will find the target cougar. Kill him during the subsequent QTE. When its dead, skin it and return to the hunting lodge. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 6: The Elk Bachelor: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You will find this Elk at the south-eastern end of the large lake in the Valley Forge hunting region. Here you will find a green circle. Enter the circle area and activate eagle vision to identify the golden target. Approach it and kill the elk. When its dead, skin it and you are all done! Now all that is left to 100% the Hunter's Society is to complete the challenges for the club. Note that as with the other club challenges, they are retrospective as well, so if you have completed some of them prior to joining the club, you will find that once you do join, they have already been completed. Without further ado, here are a list of all the challenges: ---------------- Challenge Set 1: ---------------- > Pick-pocket 200 pounds > Perform 25 Air Assassinations > Catch a Courier > Kill 10 enemies from Hiding Places > Loot 10 bodies For completing all of these challenges, you will recieve the second tier of challenges to try your hand at. ----------------- Challenges Set 2: ----------------- > Escape from open conflict by using blending or hiding 10 times > Steal everything a guard owns 3 times > Lure away a guard dog using bait 3 times > Perform 30 stealth kills without being detected > Steal everything from a rich citizen without being detected Again, for completing all of these challenges, you will recieve the third (and final) tier of challenges to try your hand at. ----------------- Challenges Set 3: ----------------- > Poison 5 enemies > Find and empty 10 chests in New York > Win 500 pounds by playing Minigames > Pick-pocket or loot 1,500 pounds > Successfully attack and loot 3 convoys =============================================================================== =============================================================================== Homestead Side-Missions [HMQSTS] =============================================================================== =============================================================================== As with previous Assassin's Creed games, you have the option of upgrading various infrastructure to help you earn a few perks and cash on the side. In Assassin's Creed III, rather than restoring districts, we will be improving and expanding upon Davenport Homestead, transforming it from a lonely hermit's hideout to a bustling little village. To do this we need to undertake a series of quests to lure various characters throughout the gameworld to the Homestead and then assisting them to settle in the area. In total there are 36 side-quests to complete before the Homestead reaches its optimal level. You will be able to undertake these missions once you have completed Sequence 5 D 'River Rescue and will be prompted to begin then and there. I have listed the quests below in the order that I completed them in. Note that at several points there are multiple quest options available at any one time, if you choose to do them in a different order, just jump ahead to the guide for the specific mission. Let's get started! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 1: Godfrey and Terry - River Rescue: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This mission will be completed as part of the main campaign's storyline. For a walkthrough please check out the guide here: [ACT05D]. As a result, Godfrey, Terry and their wives will join the community. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 2: Achilles - Training Begins: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After rescuing Terry from the river during the River Rescue sequence, Achilles will call you into his office and show you the ledger. From here he will give you a brief tutorial on the economy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 3: Lance - Whittler's Weapons: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Following on from the previous missions, look at your map to see a Homestead mission marker on the Southern end of the area. As you approach you will see a man hanging from a cliff with a bunch of guards above. Quickly run in and dispatch all the guards before pulling the man up from the cliff. After a short scene the mission will be completed. As a result of this mission, Lance will join the community. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >>Note: As Lance joins the community you will earn the achievement/trophy 'House party'. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 4: Myriam - Silent Hunter: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This mission becomes available once you start sequence 9. Whilst you are at the Homestead, you will notice a Homestead quest marker nearby. Head over here to find an injured woman. Pick her up and bring her to Achilles. After a short scene, we'll have to head out to an objective marker and kill th poachers. The game also hands you a few rope darts and gives you a brief tutorial on how to use them. Essentially you can shoot them with a rope dart and hold the ranged weapon button to choke them out or alternatively you can shoot them with a rope dart and then jump out of the tree to hang them. As such climb up into a tree branch overlooking the targets and use the rope darts on the first two guys before running over and finishing off the last guy. This will cause another two poachers to appear, so finish them off however you like to complete the mission. As a result, Myriam will join the community. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 5: Godfrey and Terry - Burglar on the Homestead: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Head over to the Homestead quest marker to begin the mission. After a short scene you will see a burglar running away. Chase after him and kill him to complete the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 6: Godfrey and Terry - The Fight: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the previous mission, a new Homestead mission marker will appear. Head over to this and undertake a mini-game to separate the two brawling friends. Once the fight is over, go and talk to both of them for a short scene each to complete this short side-mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 7: Warren and Prudence - Abused: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the first Homestead mission that will occur off the property of the Davenport Homestead. It is actually in the Monmouth hunting region in the front er. As such, if you have unlocked the harbormaster fast-travel point in Monmouth, fast travel there, if not you've got a bit of a hike ahead of you! Once you reach Monmouth, head over to the Homestead quest marker and kill the guards harrassing the farmer. Once they are dead, the quest will be complete. As a result of this mission, Warren and Prudence will join the community. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 8: Warren and Prudence - Prudence's Primrose: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After recruiting Warren and Prudence, return to the homestead and approach the objective marker to begin the next mission. Once it begins, head for the gree circle marking the search area. As with the missions we've had like this previously, we need to find clues and investigate them in order to narrow down our search area. Once we have found enough clues, we will find Prudence being attacked by a bear kill the bear using the on-screen button prompts to complete the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 9: Norris - The Brawler: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This mission is similar to the 'Abused' mission above except this time, it is set in Boston, so fast travel there and make your way to the Homestead mission marker to find a man being attacked by guards. Kill them all to free him and after a short scene the mission will be complete. As a result of this mission, Norris will join the community. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 10: Myriam - White Trophy: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After recruiting Norris, you will be able to undertake this mission. Track down the marker and talk to Myriam who asks for your help to track down a cougar. In the search area, examine the clues to narrow the search area and when you have found a enough a scene will play showing the big cat bolting away. Follow after, chasing it until a scene plays. Afterwards, approach the mine and perform a successful button prompt press to complete the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 11: Daily Life - Room at the Inn: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- head over to the Homestead mission marker and talk to Corinne and Oliver to start the mission. This mission is super easy if you have money as all you need to do is pay them 1000 pounds to complete it! If you don;t have the money on you, go and hunt down a couple of chests, send your assassins on another mission, or sell some of your hunted animal products in a general store. Once you have the money, hand it over to complete the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 12: Achilles - Manor Mysteries Part 1: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Approach Achilles in the manor and he will ask you to retrieve the contents of a chest from a nearby cave. To do so, stop by to meet Norris and escort him to the point of interest. Once the cave entrance has been unsealed, head inside and follow the objective marker all the way to the back of the cave. unlock the chest here to acquire the item. Unfortunately, unlocking the chest also causes the cave to begin collapsing. Jump up and shimmy across the room before backtracking through the cave avoiding the fallen rock and continuing until you escape. return to Achilles and give him the chest's contents to complete the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 13: Norris - Norris Goes Courting: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Make your way over to the Homestead mission marker and speak to Norris. Once he is finished, make your way over to the objective marker nearby and speak to Prudence. Head on over to the green search area on the map and climb the cliffs here. Watch out though as there seems to be an abundance of wolves patrolling the area. Work your way up the cliffs and shimmy all the way around the top until you can pull yourself up onto a ledge. Here you will find the flowers we need to gather along with a Pegleg trinket so you may as well grab that whilst you are here! When you are ready to go, return to Norris with the flowers to complete the quest. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 14: Godfrey and Terry - Bowls Beginner: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another easy mission! Simply head over to the objective marker, watch a brief tutorial and then play a game of bowls. win or lose the mission will be completed! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 15: Warren and Prudence/ Lyle White - Happy Expectations: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Make your way over to Prudence and warren and have a chat with them to start the mission. After the briefing, fast travel to Boston and make your way to the objective marker. Talk with the man here and after a short conversation, follow him for a brief period of time. You will see that the Doctor we are wanting to speak with is in a spot of trouble so we need to defend him from the drunken citizens (be sure to use only unarmed combat!). Once they have all been dealt with Connor will chat with the doctor and the mission will have been successfully completed. As a result of this mission, Dr Lyle White will join the community. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 16: Warren and Prudence - Pig Herder: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another short one! Following on from the previous mission, go back to speak with Prudence. She'll ask for a little help with the pigs. So quickly herd the three escaped pigs back into the pen to the right of Prudence to complete the memory. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 17: Norris - Norris tries Again: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Norris and have a chat with him to begin the next Homestead mission. After the conversation, work your way to the northern part of the map where Myriam's shack is located. You will notice that there is a green search area around it at the moment. You should also note Myriam wandering about the area. We need to go and investigate a clue just outside of her front door, but if she spots us, the mission will desynchronise so be sure to stay out of sight or leave the area before the timer counts all the way down. Stay in the bushes until she has her back turned to you and when its safe to do so run over and inspect the clue. Return to Norris to complete the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 18: Norris - Raw Materials: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Finally! A break from the Homestead! After chatting with Norris, he'll ask you to meet him out on the Frontier so that he can gather a few materials. Fast travel to the harbormaster at Monmouth and leg it north to meet Norris outside of a cave in the Packanack hunting region. After a short scene, he will head inside leaving a coloured block on the mini-map for you to defend. He will head inside the cave 3 times to do a bit of blasting and each time he does, a patrol of redcoats will come to investigate and attack you on site. Make sure to defend Norris and once you have successfully repelled the third wave, a short conversation will play and the mission will be over. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 19: Ellen - Cutting Ties: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you arrive back at the homestead, you'll notice that there are no new Homestead missions available at the moment. That can mean only one thing - a road trip is in order. Fast travel to New York and you will see that there is a Homestead mission marker here. Speak to the woman here and she will ask you for help. Follow her for a few moments and then beat up the man attacking the woman with your fists to scare him away. After a shot scene the mission is done. As a result of this mission, Ellen will join the community. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 20: Daily Life - Finding His Flock: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Go to the new Inn on the homestead and head inside, speak to the bar tender to begin this mission. This side-mission is essentially the same as the quest above 'Room at the Inn'. Simply give Father Timothy 1000 pounds to complete the memory. As a result of this mission, Father Timothy will join the community. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 21: Ellen - Silk Errand: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another quick and simple fetch task. This time, Ellen requests that you go back to her house in New York and recover some of her materials. Fast travel to New York and work you way to the objective marker. As you arrive it will become a green search area. Find the clue in here and then grab the silk when you know where it is. Afterwards return to Ellen at the Homestead to complete the task. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 22: Lance - Tools of the Trade: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As with the previous mission, we'll be heading outside of the homestead. This time however we're going to escort Lance to his store in Boston. When you arrive in Boston, follow lance through the street until he reaches his shop and a scene plays.Afterwards, walk a little down the street to the objective marker and talk to the indicated target. Following the conversation, you will need to tail the target for a minute or two until you see where he stashes the tools. Be sure to stay well back though as Lance is along for the ride and is useless at the whole discretion thing thanks to his fondness for standing out in the open! Once you have found the stash and the target has left, move in and loot it to complete the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 23: Lyle White - Get Me a Doctor!: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Back at the Homestead, head over and talk with Prudence to begin the next side- quest. In this mission, you'll be given a time limit of three minutes and will be riding a horse. We have to ride to the far end of the homestead to pick up the doctor and bring him back to Prudence. its not that easy though as the doctor insists that we veer off course to go and pick up Warren on the way back. Even so, the time limit is quite generous and you should be home and hosed with aroud 45 seconds left on the clock. A scene will play to complete the level. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 24: Big Dave - The Deserter: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As with the majority of the recruitment missions, this one involves travelling outside of the Homestead, beating up a bunch of guards that are picking on our character of interest and then watching a short scene in which he decides to join the community! You will find Big Dave in the frontier in the John's Town hunting region, just to the South of the entrance to Davenport Homestead. beat up the guards that are pestering him to have him join the community. As a result of this mission, Big Dave will join the community. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >>Note: For recruiting Big Dave, who happens to be the last member of the community, you will earn the achievement/trophy 'A Complete Set'. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 25: Big Dave - The Proper Tools: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another short fetch task! Big Dave wants you to go and pick up his tools from New York. Simply fast travel to New York, go to the nearest general store and choose the citizen tools option. Buy the tools there, afterwards return to Big Dave on the homestead to complete the task. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 26: Myriam - Fool Me Once...: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Find the mission marker and speak with Norris. Escort him until you meet Myriam interact with her and a scene will play. Afterwards, you'll need to do a bit of hunting. Work you way ovet to the wolves marked with the red objective markers, kill and skin them. Once you are out of trouble head over to the hunting blind and climb up to the platform. Here you'll see a short scene. Afterwards, hop down and chase after the poacher, kill him to complete the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 27: Ellen - The Final Straw : ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Head over and talk to Norris and his posse to start this mission. We are going to have to defend Ellen's house against a group of thugs. This is actually quite easy. Allow the other villagers to engage the bad guys and then focus your attention solely on the enemies that appear with the red objective markers above their heads - these are the hostiles that will damage the house we are trying to defend. Note that you should only use your bare hands during this fight as killing one of the thugs will result in desynchronisation. Once you have defeated enough of the bad guys, the memory will be complete. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 28: Daily Life - The Wedding: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Talk with Norris again to start this mission. After the conversation, walk with Father Timothy until a scene plays. When you regain control of Connor, go and chat with Norris again. Afterwards, return to the main building and head upstairs. Investigate the clues in the immediate area. Once your investigation is complete, head for the objective marker. When you arrive at the destination, Myriam will run away, simply chase her until a scene plays to end the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 29: Achilles - Manor Mysteries Part 2: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chat with Achilles in the manor and he will ask you to retrieve a painting from New York. Fast travel to new York and follow the objective marker until you reach the destination. Interact with the wall here to pick up the painting. Return to Achilles at the Homestead to complete the task. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 30: Lyle White - Slander: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On the Homestead, go and have a chat with Lyle. He'll tell you that he needs us to perform a task for him in Boston to clean up his image. Fast travel to Boston and make your way to the objective marker, the area will transform into a green search area. What we need to do is walk around the area and find the kids standing on top of the crates selling newspapers. Once we have found them, we need to bribe them to shut up. To make things a little easier, you can activate eagle vision and the children will appear as golden targets. Once you have bribed five children, we will recieve a new objective to kill or pickpocket an additional target, perform whichever you like. When you have completed that task, the mission will be done. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 31: Big Dave - An Eye for Trouble: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A short one again. Head over to have a chat with Big Dave in the Homestead to find him hanging out with a redcoat. During the scene another redcoat will appear. Chase him down and kill him and then return to Big Dave to complete the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 32: Big Dave - The Comeback: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Following on from the previous quest, talk to Dave again to start this one. The whole town will be out in defense and you are going to have to defend the road against two patrols of redcoats whilst defending them. There is an easy way to do it though. Grab some of those explosive barrels and plant them on the road in front of the defenders. When the patrol shows up shoot the barrel to take them all out at once! Repeat one more time and mop up any survivors to complete the side-quest. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 33: Lance - Thousand-Pound Idea: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Have a chat with Lance at the Homestead and he'll send you over to New York to recover an important design. When you arrive in New York, track down and chat with your contact to discover that we will need to obtain the plans from three different thugs. track them down, kill them and loot their bodies for the plans (alternatively picking their pockets seemed to work as well). Once you have all three pieces of the plan, return them to Lance back at the Homestead to complete the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 34: Lyle White - Wait Times: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This mission starts at the docks near the harbormaster in the Homestead by talking to Lyle who is treating injured sailors. He requests that you seek assistance for him. Run over to the objective marker nearby and pick up Diana, return back to Lyle for a scene. Afterwards objective markers will appear on various sailors in the area. Your job is to run over and interact with each one of them before the timer runs out. Once you have treated enough sailors, a scene will play to signify your success in finishing the task. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 35: Achilles - Legacy: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another short one! Enter the main manor and head in to find Achilles. After the scene, leg it down to Father timothy in the church for a chat. following another cut-scene, just mash the on-screen button prompt until a story scene plays to finish the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 36: Achilles - Achilles' Painting: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A very simple one! Enter the homestead and interact with the painting in wrapping next to the fireplace to complete the mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mission 37: Achilles - Encyclopedia of the Common Man: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After completing the game, Achilles with give you the task of documenting daily life on the Homestead. It is best to leave completing this until after completing all of the other Homestead tasks as doing these will increase the activities available to the residents. Approach the men with these symbols above their heads and interact with them. Each contract giver will add four targets to your map that you will need to take down. These targets will be walking alone, by themselves and will put up little to no resistance to your hidden blade. Easy! Here is where you will find the starting points for the assassination contract missions: > Frontier's Contracts - Fast travel to the harbormaster in Monmouth. See the building to the northeast on the shoreline? If you haven't played that, well the gist of these pages is that they will not sit in one spot, but instead will force you to chase them down and catch them, usually across some difficult to traverse terrain and forcing you to use all of your free running prowess in the process! The almanac pages can be used at the homestead to create inventions required to complete the game at 100% synchronisation, so if you want to complete the game in its entirety, you are going to have to track these bad boys down. There are 36 almanac pages in total and they can be found in the two major cities with 20 being available for pick up in Boston and a further 16 scattered around New York. Note that these will appear on your map after using view points, if you come into close proximity to one or by purchasing a map with all their locations from one of the general stores. On top of the windmill overlooking the water in the southern part of the region. 40. To the east of the river at the south of the Troy's Wood hunting region in a tree. 41. In a tree, on a branch above a hunting plaform to the northwest of the water source at the southern end of the area. 42. Up in a tree directly to the east of the red, rectangular restricted area in the north of the area. 43. In a tree in the nort-eastern side of the area. It is northwest of the bridge leading to the Scotch Plains hunting area. --------------------------- Scotch Plains (3 feathers): --------------------------- 44. Directly north of the entrance to Boston on a tree branch of a tree sitting in the middle of a lake. 45. Directly West of the entrance to Boston in a tree. 46. On a small island directly off the coast of of Fort St-Mathieu. ---------------------- Monmouth (4 feathers): ---------------------- 47. In the south eastern corner of the region in a tree on the small island off the coast. 48. In a tree just to the northwest of the restricted area surrounding Fort Monmouth. 49. At the very top of the church in the north-eastern corner of the region. 50. =============================================================================== Peg Leg Trinket Locations [CLTBPL] =============================================================================== Once you have reached the Davenport Homestead, make your way down to where the Aquila is docked. Sitting on a chair nearby is Pegleg, a guy with a red hat and a wooden leg. Heâll give you a quest to track down trinkets in exchange for letters which will ultimately reward us with a treasure at the end. There are 24 trinkets scattered throughout Boston, the Homestead and the Frontier. To make them easier to find, you can purchase maps from one of the game's general stores that will makr all of the locations on your map. Here are the locations of all of his trinkets: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Davenport Homestead (4 Trinkets): ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 01. Go to the most western part of the river. Here you will find a stone ledge above with the chest. 02. On top of a cliff in the north west of the area. 03. On a rock at the end of the peninsula directly to the south of the harbormasterâs location. 04. On a rocky platform on the opposite side of the river form the above trinket's location. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Frontier (10 Trinkets): ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note, all of these locations are listed by hunting region. To see a map with all hunting regions, go to the map meun and select the top oprion (indicated by a bear paw). ------------ Black Creek: ------------ 05. In the southwest corner of the region in a guard camp. Kill the guards and loot the trinket! 06. In a guardâs camp on a hill to the northeast of Fort Duquesne. ----------- Kanien:keh: ----------- 07. To the west of the village youâll find a tree with a fallen log leading to a raised rocky area above the river. Follow the path up here to the end and hop the stone obstacle. Youâll now be at the edge of a cliff. Look down to the left for a platform with the trinket. 08. In a cave in the southeast corner of the region. ------------- Valley Forge: ------------- 09. Cross the bridge to the west of Concord and keep your eye out on the left side of the road. Youâll see a cabin up on a hill here, run over to this and look behind it for the trinket. -------------- Diamond Basin: -------------- 10. If you look just north of Concord on the map, you will see a broken path over a lake (it has been flooded over). Run over to this location and look just to to the north of it to see a mineshaft near some buildings. Follow the mineshaft to the end to find the trinket. ------------ Troy's Wood: ------------ 11. If you look at the hunting map and look at the border between Troyâs Wood and Monmouth, you will see a small river just to the northeast of the buildings in Monmouth. Cruise up to here and look behind the waterfall at the end for a cave. Follow that all the way to the end for the trinket. --------- Monmouth: --------- 12. At the top of the church directly north of Fort Monmouth. ------------------ Great Piece Hills: ------------------ 13. Go to the road leading out of Lexington to the north follow this out of town. Behind the last house on the left you will find a cave. Youâll find the trinket hidden in here. 14. Follow the road out of Lexington to the north. When the road forks, follow it to the right. When you reach the house, look behind it for the trinket. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Boston (5 Trinkets): ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- North District: --------------- 15. On a bench to the left of the main passage along the waterfront on the East side of the Boston Map. It is located around halfway between the two northern Harbourmasters. 16. In the western part of the central south section of the area behind a wooden fence next to a cow pen. ----------------- Central District: ----------------- 17. In the south-western corner of the region in a market area close to the very lowest reach of the river in the region. 18. At the end of the longest dock in Boston in the north-east of the central region. --------------- South District: --------------- 19. Inside the courtyard of a house with a large brick wall overlooking the water around 1/3 of the way down the west side of the map. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New York (5 trinkets): ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- North District: --------------- 20. Behind a building to the Southwest of Dobbyâs (your liberation contact) location. 21. On a bench in an open market area just southwest of the fort in the north-east corner of the city. -------------- East District: -------------- 22. On a boat along the Eastern side of the district. 23. On a cart behind a building two bloacks southeast of the giant right angle triangle in the nort-western corner of the region. -------------- West District: -------------- 24. On a table in the innoculation clinic on the western side of the region near our liberation contact. =============================================================================== Chest Locations [CLTBGH] =============================================================================== There are 25 hidden templar chests in the game and these can be found in all three of the main areas: Boston, New York and the Frontier. Most of these will also force you to undertake the game's annoying (and thankfully under-utilised) lock picking mini-game. Note that these will appear on your map after using view points, if you come into close proximity to one or by purchasing a map with all their locations from one of the general stores. Here are the general locations of each chest, based upon regions: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Frontier (10 chests): ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Black Creek: ------------ 01. You'll find this one inside Fort Duquesne once liberated. 02. Exit Fort Duquesne from the East gate and continue up the road. Look for a smaller, dirt track leading into the trees to the left. Follow this up to find the chest. its about 1/2 way between the Fort and the Hunter's Lodge. ------------ John's Town: ------------ 03. This chest is located in amongst a group of three buildings directly south west of the exit to the Davenport Homestead. ------------------ Great Piece Hills: ------------------ 04. Next to the lighthouse at the north east of the region. ---------- Lexington: ---------- 05. On top of a church in the north west section of the area, close to the boundary to the Diamond Basin Hunting area. 06. Look at the south of the region map and find the major road leading north through the Lexington area. Follow this until you see a hill on the left. Climb this and find the hole in the ground leading to an underground cave. Drop down and follow the pasage to the end to find the chest. ---------- Packanack: ---------- 07. In the rectangular restricted area guarded by a good number of soldiers in southern Packanack. ------------ Troy's Wood: ------------ 08. In a tent in the restricted area in the central north of the region. 09. Inside a barn located just to the east of the western-most river in the area. it is very close to the boundary between the Monmouth and Troy's Wood hunting regions. -------------- Scotch Plains: -------------- 10. Inside Fort St-Mathieu once liberated. --------- Monmouth: --------- 11. Inside Fort Monmouth. 12. Outside the building just to the north of the harbormaster in Monmouth. 13. Located at the end of a cave that can be found cut into the rocky outcrop just to the southwest of the rivermouth leading into Monmouth. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Boston (13 Chests): ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- North District: --------------- 14. On a wooden pier at the end of the large stone dock to the east of the map between the two harbormasters in the region. 15. Inside a wooden fence on the Western side of the area. If you look at your liberation map, it is in the backyard of the second building to the east of the large white wall on the west side. ----------------- Central District: ----------------- 16. On a ship directly to the north of the northernmost harbormaster in Central Boston. 17. Inside the barracks in the northwest corner of Fort Hill. 18. Inside a little guarded wooden area just to the North-East of Fort Hill. 19. On the wooden dock just to the south-west of the southernmost harbormaster in central Boston. 20. On a raised platform next to some barrels overloking an open area. About a minutes walk north-west of the southernmost Harbormaster in Central Boston. 21. Hidden behind a wooden fence in the south-western corner of a square formation of buildings just to the north of the open, unpopulated, hilly area in Central Boston. 22. Note: This one will not show up on your map! It is inside the tavern in which we met Stephane earlier in the game. If you don't remember where it is, the building is marked by the liberation symbol and is located in the Northern part of the Central District. --------------- South District: --------------- 23. In the courtyard of Fort Independence. 24. In the very nort-west corner of the region, behind a farm. 25. In a guard camp amongst some tents in the very centre of the region. 26. As you enter Boston from the Frontier, you will see giant stone walls in front of you. As you approach the gate, look to the left to find some barrels we can climb to get up on top of the wall. Once up, descend the nearby stairs for the chest. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New York (12 Chests): ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- North District: --------------- 27. Outside the building in the lake to the southeast of the exit to the frontier. 28. Next to the door to the church that we arrive at at the beginning of Sequence 12. 29. Fort Division, on the wooden battlements once you have liberated the fort. -------------- West District: -------------- 30. On the ramparts on the southern side of Fort Washington. 31. Just to the north of Fort Washington in some destroyed buildings along the waterfront. 32. On the second floor of a burnt out building just north east of Fort Washington. 33. They will enable players to unlock and utilise cheats such as invinciblity and infinite ammo from the options menu once aquried. After the game has run its course, you will find yourself back in the Animus as Connor. After finding your first pivot (they look kind of like oragami cranes) you will recieve a brief tutorial on what they are and how they work. Unfortunately, this tutorial is short, confusing and really does not explain them very well. So I'll give it a go for you! > The brief in-game tutorial will earn you three pivots and with these, we can find additional pivots hidden throughout the world. > To find pivots, we must first three of place pivots that we have already found into the environment. The idea is to place these in a triangular shape which will detect any pivots within that area. > Note that when placing pivots (you must go into the menu to do this),Connor will have to move to the exact locations where you want to drop the pivot, so be prepared for a bit of running! > You can retrieve pivots via the map menu. > You MUST be playing online for pivots to appear. > It is impossible to write a location guide for the pivots as their location will be different for everybody. This is because the pivots that appear in your game are actually being placed by another player somewhere else in the world who is also online and is looking for pivots in their game. > There is a pivot option in the map menu that will show you the pivots you own and the genral map location of additional, undiscovered pivots. > One pivot will spawn every 15 minutes and will stay in its location until you find it. > There are 10 hacks, or cheats in the game, so finding 10 pivots will allow you to unlock all of these.
