The year is 10 Meiji. The last age of the Samurais' existence.

-----------------------------------------

STORY

The year is 1877AD (10 Meiji).
The Shogunate rule is over, and the wave of a new era is sweeping
across the country.
Western culture is invading, and the world the people once knew has
changed.
With the passing of the railroad, a new civilization - the modern era -
is beginning to form its shape.

However, to the men who lived as Samurais during the Shogunate age,
This new age is not a friendly place for them to continue their way of
living.
In the pages of history, this is just an instant.
The last age of the Samurai...

This, the story of one such man. A Samurai.
This, the story of one such town, where this man, this Samurai, last
appeared.

‹Êìã…'s sword after he's defeated, for this is the only ending of
the game during which you can get it.
Your Ž˜•Î·’l Samurai Honorability should be very high with this
ending.

With ’Ø“à”ª˜Y still alive, defeat ‹Êìã… and you will get this
ending.
Note:
If either ƒhƒiƒhƒi, “°“‡ŒR“ñ, or ’Ø“à”ª˜Y is killed, you won't get this
ending.
If you did not rescue ƒhƒiƒhƒi, or killed “°“‡ŒR“ñ, you will get Ending
No.3.

[Ending No.3]
Act in favor of the ŠÃŒI Side throughout the story and you will reach
this ending.

the end defeat ‹Êìã… at the ‹´ and you will see this ending.

[Ending No.6]
Advance the same way as you would Ending No.1, but in the end, instead
of fighting ‹Êìã…, accept his offer and let him go.
Note:
After ‹Êìã… asks for your name, if you do not answer, battle will
start. So answer him, which answer you choose will not affect the

Additional Explanations on Legend Name Requirements

These are suggestions of how to get each of the Legend Names. They are
not absolute requirements, just suggestions, do try out other methods
which you feel fit the idea behind the Legend Names.
In general, you get better Legend Names by keeping your sword sheathed
and stay away from killing unless absolutely necessary.

Ž˜‰¤ (Samurai King)
Avoid unsheathing your sword unnecessarily, and avoid killing unless
absolutely necessary.
Don't say inappropriate things that will annoy/embarrass/anger/etc
others.
See Ending No.1 and you should get this Legend Name.
Other Endings could work also, just make sure you stay loyal to one
group from the beginning to the end.

ŽŠ‚‚ÌŽ˜ (Highest Samurai)
Avoid unsheathing your sword, and avoid killing.
Don't say things that are inappropriate.
Do not betray anyone, and stay with one group from the beginning to the
end, and you should get this Legend Name.
Stay with the hê side after you decide to help them, stay with the
•¶‰Æ after you decide to join them, stay with the Ô‹Ê“} after you
decide to join them, and always listen to conversations or instructions
to the end, and don't open your mouth unneccesarily.
But be careful, if you act too perfectly then there's a chance you
might get Ž˜‰¤ Legend Name. So answer with not too good and not too bad
choices sometimes to avoid being too honorable.

Ž˜Žt”Í‘ã (Samurai Master)
At the beginning of the game, go straight to the _ŽÐ, then to the hê
to eat. Choose "–Ù‚Á‚ĐH‚¦" when ƒhƒiƒhƒi speaks with you. After
defeating ’m°‘ˆê˜Y, do not speak, and head for the Ô‹Ê“}ŠÙ.
At the Ô‹Ê“}ŠÙ, join with them, and after the event speak to ‹g’› to
take his place in the duel with Š •”¯‰_. Do not kill him, when his HP
is down to critical, speak to him to say "Ÿ•‰‚ ‚Á‚½‚È" for him to give
up and apologize.
At Day One, Night, go to the “S“¹. After listening to ƒ`ƒFƒ‹ƒV[,
accept her request, then battle with ’Ø“à”ª˜Y.
At Day Two, Morning, go to the Ô‹Ê“}ŠÙ. Go together with ‹g’› to the
_ŽÐ. Defeat “úŒü”¹l and return to the Ô‹Ê“}ŠÙ. After the battle, you
should clear the game with this Legend Name.

‰\‚ÌŽ˜ (Legendary Samurai)
After game start, go straight directly to the _ŽÐ, then immediately
turn around and return to the ‹´ Bridge to skip the ’Ø“à”ª˜Y kidnapping
‚·‚¸ event.
Go to the hê, enter ŠÃŒI with your sword already drawn. Fight and
defeat ƒhƒiƒhƒi.
Go to the ‹´, then return to the hê again at Dusk. Go near ˆäƒm“ª–΋g
with your sword drawn and attack him right away. After •Û¢‘卲ƒG–å
appears, defeat him.
Go to the ‹´ then return to the hê at Night. Listen to ‚·‚¸'s plea
for help, promise to help by replying with "”Ñ‚ð—pˆÓ‚µ‚Ä‚¨‚¯".
Go to the •¶‰Æ‰®•~ and rescue ƒhƒiƒhƒi, saying to him
"‚·‚¸‚É—Š‚Ü‚ê‚Ä—ˆ‚½", bring him back to the hê.
Go to the “S“¹, head for the Ô‹Ê“}ŠÙ the next Morning. With your sword
sheathed, speak to ‹g’› at the main building and join him. At the _ŽÐ
defeat “úŒü”¹l then return to the Ô‹Ê“}ŠÙ to battle Government
soldiers. When asked by ƒ`ƒFƒ‹ƒV[ and Š •”¯‰_ to go ahead without
them, go. After you meet up with ‹g’› and defeat ‹Êìã…, you should
clear the game and get this Legend Name.

Ž˜Cs’† (Samurai in Training)
Do the exact same things as you would for the "‰\‚ÌŽ˜" Legend Name.
Except instead of listening to ‚·‚¸'s plea for help at Day One, Night,
approach her with your sword drawn and scare her away.

–}l (Ordinary Person)
At the beginning of the game, after speaking with ’Ø“à”ª˜Y, defeat 2 of
his men then battle him, at the end of which allow him to surrender and
leave.
Then go to ŠÃŒI to eat. Listen to ƒhƒiƒhƒi, then when ’m°‘ˆê˜Y
appears, kill his men then defeat him. Then go to the _ŽÐ at Dusk.
Pick a fight with “Œ‰¡‰‘å who happen to be there and let yourself be
killed by him and you should get this Legend Name.
All your answers in order are: "Œ™‚ª‚Á‚Ä‚¢‚邼" ¨ "–³–@‚͂悹" ¨
"c‚¢‚¢‚¾‚낤" ¨ "‹C‚ªæ‚ç‚È‚¢‚È" ¨ "‚¾‚¢‚¶‚傤‚Ô‚©H" ¨
"‚ ‚肪‚½‚’y‘–‚ɂȂ낤" ¨ "‚æ‚낵‚—Š‚Þ" ¨ "‚¤‚Ü‚¢" ¨ "c—§”h‚¾‚È"
¨ "‚Ü‚ c‚È" ¨ "“¯Š´‚¾" ¨ "o‚čs‚¯I" ¨ "’f‚éI" ¨
"“z‚ç‚͉½ŽÒ‚¾H" ¨ "‚ ‚ " ¨ "•·‚©‚¹‚Ä‚‚ê" ¨ "‚悵AŸ•‰‚¾".

–¢nŽÒ (Immature Person)
Advance as you would for the "–}l" Legend Name. But instead of
defeating ’m°‘ˆê˜Y, let yourself get killed by him and you should get
this Legend Name.
The answers to choose are exactly the same as the answers for "–}l"
Legend Name.

ƒ`ƒ“ƒsƒ‰ (Gangster)
Right after you start the game, fight with ’Ø“à”ª˜Y on the bridge, let
yourself get killed and you should get this Legend Name.

”n‚̍œ (Suspicious Character)
Pass by ’Ø“à”ª˜Y kidnapping ‚·‚¸ on the bridge without interrupting.
Go to hê. Don't speak to ŒI‹g, instead, kick him around a little bit,
around 5 to 6 times.
Go to ˆê–{¼, pick a fight with “°“‡ŒR“ñ the swordsmith and let
yourself get killed and you should get this Legend Name.

‚‚³‚êŠO“¹ (Rotten Scoundrel)
Kill all you meet, and say rotton things, and see Ending No.6, and you
should get this Legend Name.
A faster way would be this, at the beginning of the game, ignore
’Ø“à”ª˜Y kidnapping ‚·‚¸ and just pass by them. Then at the hê, kick
ŒI‹g a lot, more than 10 times. Then proceed to the ˆê–{¼, pick a
fight with “°“‡ŒR“ñ and let yourself be killed by him and you should
get this Legend Name.

‹àŽ‚¿Ž˜ (Rich Samurai)
Clear the game with around 300 Yen in your possession to get this
Legend Name.
1. Day One, Morning, •¶‰Æ‰®•~, duel with ’m°‘ˆê˜Y. Win with higher
HP to receive more money. If your HP is 1999, you will receive 79 or 80
Yen.
2. After the above, go to the _ŽÐ to join with ’m°‘ˆê˜Y, and
together go to the hê. Make a lot of trouble to receive 50 Yen. Or
make little trouble and receive 20 Yen.
3. Day One, Dusk, •¶‰Æ‰®•~, receive order to walk •¶‹à‘¾˜Y. At the
ˆê–{¼, run away together with •¶‹à‘¾˜Y to receive 20 Yen. Or stay
and defeat “úŒü”¹l and receive 50 Yen.
4. Day One, Night, hê, accept ‚·‚¸'s plea for help. Go to •¶‰Æ‰®•~,
rescue ƒhƒiƒhƒi and bring back the ‹àŒÉ money chest to get 15 Yen. Or
kill ƒhƒiƒhƒi and bring back the ‹àŒÉ to get 120 Yen.
5. Day One, Morning, ‚˜F, speak to the man standing guard, listen to
his story till the end to receive 3 Yen.
6. Fight some random enemies. Sometimes they drop money ranging from 1
Yen to 5 Yen.

’ÒŽa‚莘 (Serial Killer Samurai)
Clear the game having killed more than 180 men to get this Legend Name.
The best place to fight is the ‚˜F at Day One, Morning. Attack the man
standing guard there, and infinite versions of him will appear.
As long as you reach the necessary amount of kills, you don't need to
see an ending. You can die in battle and still get this Legend Name.

‹S’{‰¤ (Beast King)
Act with absolutely no honor, like a beast, to get this Legend Name.
Here are some actions that will lead to ‹S’{‰¤ Legend Name. Do 4 or
more to assure success:
 - After game start, on the bridge, when speaking to ’Ø“à”ª˜Y carrying
‚·‚¸, answer "’‡ŠÔ‚É“ü‚ê‚Ä‚‚ê".
 - After game start, defeat ’Ø“à”ª˜Y, then say to ‚·‚¸ either
"—L‚è‹à‘S•”’u‚¢‚Ä‚¢‚¯" or "‚Ö‚Á‚Ö‚Á‚Ö".
 - After ‹g’› and ƒ`ƒFƒ‹ƒV[ rescue you from the train tracks, unsheath
your sword and choose to say "‚à‚¤—p‚Í‚È‚¢", then attack them.
 - Day One, Morning, at the hê, do nothing during the ’m°‘ˆê˜Y
bullying event. After they leave, without choosing what to say, attack
ƒhƒiƒhƒi or ‚·‚¸.
 - Without joining the hê Side, during Day One, Night, go to hê to
hear ‚·‚¸'s plea for help. Answer "ðŒŽŸ‘悾‚È", then continue with
"ˆê”Ó‘ŠŽè‚ð‚µ‚ë‚æ".
Or replay with "‹à‚¾‚æA‹à", and just do it for the money.
 - Day One, Night, after promising to help ‚·‚¸ after listening to her
plea for help, enter •¶‰Æ‰®•~, then fight with ƒhƒiƒhƒi and kill him.

And example route to take:
At the beginning of the game, say to ’Ø“à”ª˜Y "’‡ŠÔ‚É“ü‚ê‚Ä‚‚ê".
After ‹g’› and ƒ`ƒFƒ‹ƒV[ rescue you from the train tracks, unsheath
your sword and choose to say "‚à‚¤—p‚Í‚È‚¢", then attack them.
Then go to the hê, enter ŠÃŒI with your sword dranw, attack and chase
away ‚·‚¸ and ƒhƒiƒhƒi.
Go to the ‹´ Bridge for the Dusk. Attack ƒhƒiƒhƒi again.
Return to the hê at Night and accept ‚·‚¸'s plea for help by choosing
to say "ðŒŽŸ‘æ", then "ˆê”Ó‘ŠŽè‚ð‚µ‚ë".
Go to the •¶‰Æ‰®•~ and kill ƒhƒiƒhƒi.
After that, let yourself be killed by the enemies there and you should
get this Legend Name.
