After the incident from the last game, we find Lan Hikari asleep... Megaman wakes him up and he gets his PET. He's about to jack-in when his Mom calls him. You'll get an e-mail once your in control. To read it, bring up the start-menu and use the D-Pad to go to e-mail. Then, press A to see your e-mails. Go down and talk to your Mom. She wants you to deliver a recipe to one of her friend's navi. It's in the Kitchen Comp in ACDC Area 2. Go back to Lan's Room and press R near his PC to jack-in. Once you get in, you'll see that viruses are trying to invade Lan's homepage. Yep, you guessed it. THIS is the tutorial battle of this game. Mettaur x2 The Mettaurs basically hit the ground with their pickaxe and send a shockwave down their row. They only do this if you're in the same row as them. Megaman will explain the Custom Window and chip codes. Two chips with the same name or the same chip code, can be chosen together. Select both Cannon chips and delete the Mettaurs. The Cannon chips only hit what's in your row. Mettaur x2 Now you will learn about Support Chips, like Areagrab. Select Areagrab and then Widesword. Widesword hits the column in panel ahead of Megaman. Use it to delete the first two Mettaurs. You can delete the third any way you want. Mettaur x3 Time to learn about Full Synchro. Full Synchro allows the next chip used to do double damage. You can only gain Full Synchro by countering an enemy. You'll know you have Full Synchrom when a pink ring swirls around Megaman. Once you get attack or use a chip while in Full Synchro, it's gone. Select the Cannon and then the two Airshots. Use the Cannon when the first Mettaur puts its pickaxe back. Do the same with the other Mettaurs. Once you're down with that nonsense, head through the portal at the other end of the Home Page. ACDC Area 1 Head down the path and go into the second square to find a BMD containing a Mini Energy subchip. Speaking of subchips, there's a subchip dealer near the cube blocking Maylu's HP. ACDC 1 Subchip Dealer Mini Energy-100z Sneak Run-300z Unlocker-4000z There are new viruses in this area. The Canguards. If they catch you in their row they'll send a cursor. If the cursor locks-on to you, it will shoot the panel you/were on. If you're still on the same row as it. It will keep on targeting your panel until you get off the row. They are stationary, though.Go to the small path, and head to the dead-end with the BMD containing 800z. Follow the main path to ACDC 2. ACDC Area 2 Head down the main path, there is a small path to the right leading to a PMD containing Blackbomb R. Follow the main path and head down the small path near the security cube blocking Dex's HP. There is a BMD with Copydamage *. This area also has a new virus. the Powies. If you played BN2 you should remember them as Flappys. They jump around the field and eventually appear above you as a huge statue to stomp you. They crack the panel they hit. Follow the main path and head down the small path near the entrance to ACDC 3. Follow the path and you'll see a netdealer on the way. ACDC 2 Netdealer HP Memory x3-1000z, 3200z, 5000z Vulcan 1 C-500z Spreader *-3200z Hi-Cannon E-5000z Longsword C-6000z Custom Sword E-6800z If you have the money I suggest buying the HP Memories, or even the Vulcan1. Anyway, head down the rest of the path to find a portal leading to the Kitchen Comp. Talk to the pink navi inside to give the recipe. You'll then Get an e-mail from your Dad to come to Scilab and you'll automatically Jack-out. Talk to Mom before leaving. Head into all of your friends' house (Mayl, Dex, and Yai) and talk to them. Before going to the Metro line Entrance, you'll see a scientist selling sub chips. ACDC Town Sub chip Dealer Mini Energy-100z Untrap-500z Lock Enemy-6000z There are also other things to do before we go, In Mayl's HP there is A Mini Energy sub chip and an Energy Bomb P. In Dex's PC there is a RegUp1 and a HP Memory. Finally, in Yai's PC, there is a RegUp2 and a PMD with Cannonball C. Also, jack-in to Lan's doughouse to find a RegUp2. Anyway, head to the Metroline Entrance to trigger a cutscene where everyone arrives after 30 minutes(except Dex, he's always late...). Once Dex arrives, they all head into the Metroline and arrive outside Scilab. Once Lan and his friends go up the stairs, a weird black car will get parked near the Metroline. There is a scientist selling subchips in this area. Scilab Subchip Dealer Full Energy-1000z Unlocker-4000z Lock Enemy-6000z Jack-in the the rightmost battlechip sculpture. It has a BMD with an HP Memory. Jack-out and head into Scilab. Jack-in to the flashing terminal near the counter and get the BMD containing Seaseed *. Jack-out and go up the stairs to the small trash can near the vending machine to get a RegUp1. Go through the door near the vending machine. A cutscene will take place where Dad is trying to access the mainframe, but apparently he doesn't have his ID card and he forgot where he put it. Lan goes to look for it at the PC(behing a partly enclosed area). An alarm will sound and some rogue navis take over one-tenth of the internet! Then, a gas bomb will roll in. Lan's Dad will say its sleeping gas before he, Lan, and Lan's friends fall asleep. Three goons with gasmasks will then come in. The goons will tell someone that the gas wore off and then Dr.Regal comes in! Aparently he's back from the Asteroid Incident. He now has a goatie, too. XD. The goons take Lan's Dad and confiscates the PETS of Lan's friends. Lan doesn't get seen because he was in the partly enclosed area. ---------------- 3b.Scilab Chaos! ---------------- Lan awakes in his bed with his Mom near his bed.Lan then jacks-in to his PC. ACDC Area 1 The ACDC Area looks like hell since its been taken over. Head on to ACDC Area 2 near the entrance of ACDC Area 3. ACDC Area 2 You will see a Heel Navi. Talk to him and Megaman will ask about Lan's Dad. He's not telling where Lan's Dad is and gets into a fight with Megaman. Mettaur x2 Bugtank Watch out for the Bugtanks bombs. It hits the column your on. The Bugtanks only move along the back column. Once the battle is over. The Heel Navi will run to the big gate and it will lift up, letting him through. When Mega tries to go through, the gate shuts. Megaman tries attacking it with his buster, but to no avail. He says its made from darkness and he needs more power to destroy it. You then get an e-mail saying Nebula is back and something is wrong at Scilab. You'll then get automatically jacked-out. Talk to Mom before leaving. Lan will lie to her before going out of the house. Before going to the Metroline, talk to Maylu near Higsby's(which isn't open yet) to get a Roll R chip and her P-Code. Take the Metroline to Scilab and once you get inside. You'll see a guy run out a door scared and say something is wrong with the Main System. try to go through the door only to find you need the ID card of someone that works at Scilab. Head back to Dad's Lab and search his PC(in the enclosed area) for the ID card. Jack-in to the PC to find a PMD with Bugfix H and a RegUp2. Go back to the door where the guy ran from and head in. You will be in the Main System Room. Lan will find it odd that there's no one in there and jack-in to the Main System. Main System Area 1 Talk to the program to find about about the Main System. This is how the Main System works. There are letters and numbers that are in the wrong order. You have to put them in the right order to continue in the Main System. There's a catch though. You have to put them in the right order in a certain amount of turns. If you don't do it in the right amount of turns, you fight a battle of viruses. There is also a new virus here. Champy. It's stationary, but if it catches you in its row, it will appear on the panel in front of you and slug you in the face with its meteor fists. It's fire elemental. The punch only hits you panel ahead of the Champy. The first puzzle reads 276. It should read 762. You have to fix it in 4 turns. Pick up the 7, replace it where the 2 is, replace the 2 where the 6 is, and put the 6 in th empty spot in the middle. The numbers will come down, allowing you to proceed. Follow the path and pass the the square to find a BMD with Thunderball P. The next one says PNA. It should say NAP. You got 4 turns again. Pick up the N, replace N where the P is, put P where the A is, and put A in the empty spot in the middle. Go through when the NAP lowers. Near the next square, turn left to find a dead-end with a BMD containing an HP Memory. Take the right path to get to the next puzzle. If you're having trouble navigating, use Megaboy's maps. Now we have TWO sets of these blasted things. They are TWR and OLA. They should say OWL and RAT. You have 6 turns to do this. Take up O, put O where T is, put T where A is, put A where L is, put L where R is, and finally put R in the empty space. There is a gate block the RAT path, so head down the OWL path to find a button. Walk on it to unlock the gate. Head through the RAT path to get to Area 2. Main System Area 2 There is another new virus in this area. The Cactikil. It's stationary and after a few seconds it rolls its head down the row. It's wood elemental. If it rolls its head off, only the head is vulnerable, not the body. It can be hit normally when its head is on. Up ahead is another puzzle. It reads AOLK and CHLD. It should read, DOCK and HALL. You have 6 turns to do it. Take up D, put D where A is, put A where H is, put H where C is, put C where L is, and finally put L in the empty space. Since there is a gate at the DOCK path, go down the HALL path to a switch. Walk on the switch to unlock the gate and head to the DOCK path. Almost immediately you'll see a puzzle with THREE sets of words.Thankfully, it's the only puzzle with three sets. It reads EAP, IOM, and HRT. It should read HIP, TOE, and ARM. You have 7 turns to fix this puzzle. Take the H, put H where E is, put E where M is, put M where T is, put T where I is, put I where A is, and finally put A where H is. The TOE path has two gates, so go to the HIP and ARM paths and walk on the switches to unlock the gates. Before going to the conveyor, go past it to get a BMD with a Full Energy subchip. Head on the conveyor to find another and head down that one. Go down the path ignoring the single arrow(it leads back to the ARM path) to find a BMD with Spreader E. Continue down the path to get to a number puzzle(thank Goodness for no letter puzzle). This is the last puzzle. Talk to the program to find out you need a WorkMemo. The control will switch Lan. As Lan, go back to Dad's lab and search the coffee table to find a WorkMemo. Control will switch back to Megaman. The puzzle says 12345. It should read 53214. You have 7 turns to do this. Take 5, put 5 where 1 is, put 1 where 3 is, put 3 where 2 is, put 2 where 1 is, put 1 where 4 is, and finally put 4 in the empty space. Save before going up the stairs. Go up the stairs to trigger and cutscene and find...Protoman! Megaman will ask him why he infiltrated the Main System. He won't answer he just wants to fight. Looks like we'll have to teach Swordboy a lesson. ------------ Protoman.EXE ------------ HP:300 Element: None Movement: Moderately Fast Attacks: Step Sword: Protoman will appear on the column in front of you(not necessarily on the same row as you), and hit you with a Widesword. Simply move back to avoid. Proto Sheild: If you hit Protoman with a straightforward attack while he's moving, he'll put up a sheild to block your attack. Fighter Sword:Protoman will go to his front column(on your row) and use a sword that goes 3 panels ahead of him. Simply move out of the row. Strategy: Protoman's been weakened from past games. the best time to attack him would be after he uses Fighter Sword. Or even after he uses Step Sword. He can wail on you if your not careful. Use recovery chips if your HP gets too low. After the battle Protoman will say you've passed a test. He says talk to Chaud for more information. Jack-out an head through the door at the other end of the Main System Room to trigger a cutscene. Apparently this wasn't any real danger, just a set-up. Chaud is making a team to liberate the internet from Nebula. Protoman's Anti-Nebula Corps. Lan will agree to join the team. Now head home and go to Lan's room. Go to the bed and press A to sleep and end Day 1. ------------ 3c.Mission 1 ------------ The next day, Lan wakes up and gets an e-mail from Chaud. He says its time to liberate ACDC Area 3. Jack-in and go back to where that Heel Navi was in ACDC Area 2. Once there, you'll see Protoman. Talk to him to start a cutscene where he destroys the gate blocking the way in a single slash. Head to ACDC Area 3 and Mega will ask if you want to start the Liberation Mission. ACDC Area 3 Now here are the basics of the Liberation Missions. The place is littered with dark panels. To clear a dark panel you have to fight the viruses inside them and beat them within 3 turns. The Custom Screen automatically comes up. Liberating a dark panel uses a navi's turn. You also can't change your folder during a Liberation Mission. You can press start to quit. If you press A there are 4 options. Liberation, the navi's out-of-battle ability, save(only Protoman can do this), and rest. Rest heals HP. Protoman uses your folder by the way. He has 300 HP and his out-battle ability is Widesword. It liberates a row of 3 panels in front of him. Like this. P-Protoman W-Panels in range of Liberation WWW P His charged shot in-battle is Widesword. His special chip is Step Sword. It allows him to go two panels ahead of him and use a Widesword. Protoman can also use Proto Sheild. Just press Left(on the D-Pad)+B when your about to be hit by an attack to put up a sheild. It sends back 50 damage to an enemy in your row when it. Megaman's out-battle ability is Longsword. It liberates dark panels two panels ahead of Megaman.Using an out-of-battle ability uses Order Points. L switches the navis when out of battle. The battlefield can vary. Sometimes you'll be stuck with 2 columns or get into a 'pincer attack' depending on how you liberate dark panels. If you are surrounded by dark panels you will be stuck in a pincer attack. In a pincer attack you have 2 columns in the middle of the field, while the enemies have 4(2 on each side). Enemies can attack you from both sides. Use l to turn left in a pincer attack and R to turn right. If you are surrounded by 2 dark panels, you will only have 2 columns(the enemies will have 4). The dark panels with purple squares in them are item panels. If you liberate them, they give an item. It can be a heart(restores HP to max), a chip, zenny, or Order Points. The orange panels with the question marks are Bonus Panels. It gives everything that item panels give except it works like a roulette. Bonus panels also give invincibility and fatal hit(deletes the closes miniboss nearby or does major damage to the nearest boss). Bonus panels don't cost a turn to liberate. The holes are dark holes. They create minibosses if there are none around it. The minibosses are special viruses. The miniboss in this mission is Bigbrute. It breathes fire in a '+' shape. Even though it uses fire attacks. It isn't fire elemental. The dark holes have to be liberated in order to remove the barriers blocking the boss. Dark Holes contain a miniboss and other viruses. If a dark hole is liberated, any minibosses created by that hole will disappear. Those are all the basics. The boss in this mission a navi that looks similar to a snowman called Blizzardman. I suggest using Megaboy's maps during the Liberation Missions. They help A LOT. The target phases in this mission is 7. Have Megaman liberate the leftmost dark panel in the trio. Then, send Protoman to liberate the item panel containing 500z. Your phase will then end starting the Darkloid Phase. On this phase minibosses can move, dark holes can create more minibosses, and the boss can heal himself if his HP is low. On Phase 2 send Megaman to deal with the BigBrute and then Protoman to deal with the dark hole. All panels around the Dark Hole will be cleared, too. You'll also get the item panel containing Order Points. On Phase 3 have Megaman use Longsword on the group of two panels ahead. You'll get a heart. Send Protoman to liberate the panel in fron't of the BigBrute. The BigBrute's out-of-battle attack is Beast Breath. it only uses it if there are any navis around it, though. On Phase 4 have Megaman delete the BigBrute and send Protoman to the Dark Hole. Now all the Dark Holes are gone and Blizzardman is open to attack. On Phase 5 have Megaman liberate the dark panel in front of Blizzardman. Then, send Protoman to get the Bonus Panel. Then send him to Blizzardman. Blizzardman drops snowballs on every navi in his area doing 40 damage. He only does this if there are any navis in his area. --------------- Blizzardman.EXE --------------- HP:400 Element: Aqua Movement: Moderate Attacks: Snowball Roll: He'll go to his back column and roll two snowballs on two rows. Simply move out of the row a snowball is rolling down. Giant Rolling Snowball: Blizzardman will turn himself into a giant snowball and roll down your row. When he gets to the end of the field, snow drifts will fall from the sky, blocking your path. They can be destroyed with buster shots. Blizzard Breath: Blizzardman goes to his front column and blows snow two panels ahead of him. Strategy: Slightly harder than Protoman, but only slightly. You have two columns in this battle. If you have thunderballs, use them. The snow drifts can be annoying. Just shoot them if they're in your way. Blizzardman isn't too difficult, just don't underestimate him. Once Blizzardman blows up and the ACDC Area is Nebula free! The internet will look normal again. I won't be going through anymore Liberation Missions after this. There's a guide for them and maps for them. Item Panel Chips: BusterUp * Bonus Panel Chips: Boomer V GunDelSol1 A Tornado D Geddon 1 P Rewards: Phase 5: Blizzardman SP B Phase 6-7: Blizzardman B Phase 8+:1000z Protoman and Megaman will jack-out and a cutscene will happen where we see regal in his HQ. A goon will come in and tell Regal something then leave. Regal himself then leaves, too. Back in ACDC Town at the park. Lan's friends will start to worry about their navis. Lan's friends leave and whe Maylu tries to leave, she gets stopped by Lan. He reassures her that he'll get her, Dex, and Yai's navis back. You then get a mail from Chaud to find out if everything is fine in ACDC Area 3.After the cutscene you'll get an e-mail about Dark Chips. ACDC Area 3 In this area there is a Golden Program. You can talk to it to do the Liberation Mission again. Head past where Blizzardman was and go down the right path to a portal leading to the Furnace Comp. There are two BMDs. One containing RegUp1 and another containing the HP Memory. There are also CanGuardEXs in the Furnace Comp. They put up a sheild when your not in their row. Head back to ACDC Area 3 and go down the left path where Blizzardman was and talk to the program. A cutscene takes place and we are automatically jacked-out. Once you jack out, you'll get an e-mail from Dex who gives his P-Code. ---------------- 3d.Mine Madness! ---------------- Head outisde the house to the Metroline to trigger a cutscene where Lan's friends talk about going to a beach. There will be a lot of cutscenes. Which includes Yai swimming using a jet-powered inner tube and her chasing Dex. XD. Once that's done, you'll get an e-mail from Chaud telling us to go and look around the Oran Area. Jack-in to the speaker near the dead tree. Oran Area 1 The Oran Area looks just like the ACDC Area before it was liberated. Go down the path and head right to find a dead-end with a Quake1 A in a BMD. Also be careful here. Some battles have grass panels, that and the fact that Champys appear here(not to mention Cactikils who will get their HP healed slowly). We need to go to Oran area 3 you can only get there from the upper level of Area 1. Head down the main path and you should she a shadow at the end of a small path. It's a PMD with Snake M. Follow the main path and go up the stairs. The arrow halway up the stairs leads to ACDC Area 3. Head up the rest of the stairs to the upper level. Once you see a small path, go down it to find a Netdealer Oran Area 1 Netdealer HP Memory-2500z,6000z,10000z Airspin1 E-5400z Recovery 80 * Circle Gun C-8200z Mine Z-9900z Guardian O(You can get it this early!*world shatters*)-10500z Nice, Guardian... Buy it if you can. All the other chips aren't too useful (except maybe Mine and Circle Gun). Go back to the main path and near the entrance to Oran Area 3, a cutscene will take place. Protoman will appear and they'll see three gun batteries. They all attack Megaman and Protoman (who are about to be pushed back). Protoman says they need another way to get rid of the guns. They both jack-out. Now we need stuff for fishing. We need a fishline, bait, and a rod. Go to the other side of the beach and search the wall for a fishline. Examine the bamboo bushes to get bamboo to use as a rod. Finally, go behind the waterfall to find a worm. Now we need to find a fishing spot. Go over the bridge and press A at the dead-end. A cutscene will happen where after 30 minutes, Lan catches a BIG fish, but it gets off the rod. Dex catches the bigger fish so they can eat his. Then, an earthquake occurs. Dex says he needs stuff to make a fire. Once in control, check the dead tree near the speaker to get a branch. Examine the pile of grass near the dead tree to get drygrass. Finally, go to the beach your friends are on to find wood. Talk to Dex to trigger a cutscene where Lan and his friends eat the fish. Afterwards Dex, Maylu, and Yai say they're going to a mine. They run away and Lan is stuck putting out the fire. When in control, you'll get an e-mail containing the Navi Customer. Time for the Navi Customizer Tutorial... Like the last two games, you get Undershirt, Attack +1, and Speed +1. The First rule is to place any programs without the mini-squares in them on the Command Line. The second rule is to NOT place the programs with the mini-squares on the command line. The third rule is to never put two programs with the same color next to each other. Once done with that nonsense, follow the tracks to another area of Oran to trigger a cutscene. When Lan's friends continue, they fall into a pit! They're fine and he says this is a part of the mine. Once in control, check the minecart on the ground for a RegUp1. Head through the entrance on the Ground Level and go up the elevator to find a door. It needs the MineKey. First though, head back to the Oran Area and go to the upper level of Area 1. Go down the first small path to find a portal leading to the Elevator Comp. It contains a BMD with Holypanel *. There's also another BMD with a RegUp1. Head back into the Old Mine(that's the name) and go left at the intersection and outside to find another speaker. Follow the path to the navi. Pay him 1000z to get the MineKey. Dex them calls you on his SubPET and you automatically jack-out. Head back up the elevator and go through the door. Head through until you get into another cave. Head down the slope and make a left at the intersection to get to another door. Before trying to go through, head to the dead-end to and examine the rocks to find a HP Memory. Head to the door to find out it has viruses. ChampyEX x2 Mettaur ChampyEXs punch twice so be careful. Once the viruses are deleted. Go through the door and wind up outside. Head up the ramp to another cave. In the cave, take the right path to get to another door. More viruses. Cactikil x2 Mettaur Once they're dealt with, you'll get another cutscene of Dex calling you and there's another earthquake. Head through the door and outside. Head into the first cave at the bottom of the ramp and jack-in to the air filtration machine to find a BMD with Tornado R. Jack-out and head up the ramp to another cave. Inside is another door. You guessed it, more viruses... Bugtank x2 Windbox It'll be harder to avoid the Bugtanks with that Fan pushing you back. Take it out first. After the battle yet another cutscene will take place and Dex will call you. Head down the elevator to be in a room with a HUGE drill. Dex will call and say a drill has appeared above the room he's trapped in. You'll see that a woman is on top of the drill. Lan tells her to stop the drill, but she tells him to have respect for his elders(but she claims she's only 29). She says she's drilling to relieve her stress. She tells Lan that there are four control boxes. He has to turn off all four to stop the drill. Lan will automatically jack-in to the first control box. Drill Comp Area 1 Talk to the program to get DrilProg. It allows you to break rocks blocking the path. Press A near a rock to punch it. These are how many punches the rocks take. Brown-3 Brown(cracked)-1 Silver-5 Silver(cracked)-2 Black-10 Black(cracked)-3 There's also a new virus here. Drixol. If it catches you in its row. It will drill down the row and then drill the column your on. It also destroys any obstacles it touches. Go up to the cracked brown boulder and punch it once. Follow the path to the conveyor. You have to go up the conveyor while punching rocks until you get to the end. If you get pushed off a conveyor, you'll wind up in a small area with a one-way arrow. Once off the conveyor, destroy the silver boulder and follow the path to a BMD with Invisible *. Follow the left path to a BMD with an HP Memory. Quickly run past the two conyeyors with the boulders. Go up another conveyor while punching rocks to get to a silver boulder. Break it and you'll find the control panel. You will automatically jack-out. The situation with your friends hasn't changed. Once the first box moves, head to the next control box and jack-in. Drill Comp Area 2 Follow the path and go up the conveor belt while punching rocks until you get to the other end. Break the brown rock blocking the path to a BMD with a Charge +1 NCP(yellow). Follow the main path and run past the conveyor belt. Run past another conveyor belt and go down the next conveyor belt. Follow the path and head up another conveyor belt. Go off the main path to find a BMD with Rockcube *. Go down the last conveyor and break the brown rock blocking the path at the end of the conveyor. Follow that path to the control panel. Still, nothing has changed. When the second control box moves. Jack-in to the third. Drill Comp Area 3 Before I begin I should say that there is a new virus in this area. Batty. It's stationary and hit flies up and flies down. If it's in the air, its invulnerable to all attacks. When it comes down it is vulnerable. If it catches you in its row, it will shoot a pulse beam down the row. If the beam hits an obstacle, it will hit al the panels around the obstacle and stun you if you're in range. Follow the path and head up the first conveyor belt. Break the rock at the end blocking a path leading to an HP +100(white). Go to the other path and head down the next conveyor and break the silver boulder blocking the main path. Pass the black rock and go up the conveyor while punching rocks to find a program. Talk to it and it will give you the StopKey. This will stop the conveyor with black rocks right next to the program. Head back to where the black rock was blocking the path and break it. Follow the path and go to the second dead-end. It has a BMD with a Full Energy subchip. Follow the main path and zig-zag around the conveyor belts to get to a control panel. Examine it to stop the conveyor of black rocks. Head back to that conveyor and go up it to the Control Panel. The drill STILL hasn't changed one bit! Once the third box moves. Jack-in to the fourth and final control box. Drill Comp Area 4 Right at the start, there is a group of conveyors together. You have to go across them. Punch rocks if you have to. It may take a while. Go across the next two sets of conveyor belts. At the second set, going across leads to a BMD with an HP Memory. Go down the second belt and punch the boulder blocking the path and progress. Head up the next conveyor belt and run across the next two. Go down the next belt to the path and zig-zag across the belt wit black rocks. At the end of the zig-zag is a Control Panel. Mega will use the StopKey to stop the conveyor. Head up the rest of the conveyor and SAVE before going to the Control Panel. Once at the Control Panel you'll see Magnetman! Mega will remember him from the Airplane Incident back in BN2. Tesla will then say she is the daughter of Gauss Magnets, Tesla Magnets! She is the CEO of his company. She blames you for causing her stress by sending Gauss to jail(she claims being CEO is a stressfull job). She tells Magnetman to delete Mega so her stress can be relieved. Looks like its time for another fight... ------------- Magnetman.EXE ------------- HP: 500 Element: Elec Movement: Moderately Fast Attacks: Magnet Panel: At the start of the battle he'll turn the corners of your side of the field(and his side)to magnet panels. Magnet panels push you off of them if you try to go on them. He also does this if his side is missing magnet panels. Magnetic Hole: Magnetman will put his hand out and a magnetic hole will appear under you. It holds you on your panel if it touches you. When it appears under your feet, move off the panel. Magnet Missile: Magnetman will make a magnet appear. It will go down the row its in and turn when it gets to your column. Works like the Ratton chips from BN3. Simply move off your column when it turns. Magnetic Energy Ball: Magnetman will stop moving and shoot a black ball of magnetic energy. It homes in on you. When the ball is near you. Quickly use the magnet panels to be pushed around it. NS Tackle: Only uses this if his HP gets low. Magnetman and a blue copy of him self will dash down the row your on. VERY painful. Strategy: Well Magnetman is actually now much easier than he was in BN2. Magnet panels now push you off instead of pulling you in. The magnet panels help to avoid a lot of Magnetman's attacks. If you have Cactusballs from the Cactikills, use them. They do double damage to Magnetman. The best time to attack him is after he shoots his magnetic energy ball. After the battle Magnetman is reluctant to accept defeat, but Tesla tells him to stop the drill. She says the battle relieved her stress. Magnetman stops the drill and Lan's friends are saved. Follow the path and go down the elevator and jack-in to the panel next to the door. Once inside the control panel, a cutsecne will take place. Megaman pushes the big button to open the door, but then the security system activates and sends boulders rolling at Megaman. Just in the nick of time, Magnet appears and uses his Magnet Barrier to block the boulders. Lan opens the door and frees his friends. Yai seems to know who Tesla is. Chaud calls and tells an he wants to try going to Oran Area 3 again. Lan and Tesla appear outside. Lan asks Tesla if he wants to join Team Protoman. Magnetman seems reluctant, but Tesla will join sinc Nebula's been causing her company trouble. Once in control, jack-in to the speaker and head back to Oran Area 1 where the gun batteries are. ------------ 3e.Mission 2 ------------ Oran Area 1 Once there, Protoman will remeber Magnetman as a former Gospel member. Megaman will say he has massive power. They all head for the gun batteries and Magnetman puts his Magnet Barrier up, causing the guns to shoot at him. Protoman then uses Step Sword while the guns are distracted and deletes them. Magnetman seems more interested now. Fix your folder before going to this mission. Bring some recovery chips too. Oran Area 3 The boss you have to fight is...Shademan! How can HE be back! He was deleted THREE times already(if you count when Django used the Piledriver and in BN4.5)! Shademan's out-of-battle attack is that he teleports to one of your navis and swipes at them for 60 damage! There's also a new miniboss to worry about. The Tinhawk. It's out-of-battle attack is like Shademan's except you have to be in range. Shademan can hit any of your navis from ANYWHERE. The Tinhawk will dive down the row its in if it catches you in that row. It's only vulnerable after it lands from a dive. The panels will flash where it hits. Magnetman has 400 HP and his charged shot is Magnet Missile. Magnetman's out-of-battle ability is Magnet Barrier. It can protect all navis from attack for one phase. Magnetman's special chip is NS Tackle. Magnetman also has Omni Shoes. He can float over broken panels, has immunity to all bad panel effects, and can step off cracked panels without breaking them. Magnetman also has Superarmor. The target time for this mission is 9 phases. ------------ Shademan.EXE ------------ HP: 600 Element: None Movement: Fast Attacks: Shade Bats: Shademan will put his wings out and release three bats. They turn when they get to your column. They are destroyable. Noise Crush: Shademan will get on the column next to you and shoot a sonic wave that goes a panel ahead of him and the column after. Can paralyze or confuse if hit. Claw Swipe: If you linger in your front column too long, Shademan will go to his fron column and swing his claw Widesword range. Shade Drain: Shademan only does this when his HP is low, but rarely on this version. Shademan will sink into the ground and appear on the panel in front of you to drain your HP. Usually does this after Noise Crush. Strategy: Shademan can be hit normally now. He's faster than before, but much easier. The best time to hit him is when he attacks. Watch out for Noise Crush and possibly Shade Drain if he uses it. You've also got two columns again to make the battle even more annoying. Bonus Panel Chips: Timebomb1 T Quake2 B Snake Z Navi 20 * Item Panel Chips: Hi-Cannon D AirHockey R Rewards: Phase 6-7: Shademan SP S Phase 8-9: Shademan S Phase 10+: 2000z Once Shademan blows up, all panels will be Liberated and the Oran Area is free! After that, Magnetman is undecided, but Tesla tells him to stay on the team. Megaman will then compliment Magnetman on his defense and get Magnet Soul! Everyone says bye to Tesla and board Yai's boat. Back at Nebula HQ, evil mastermind(well not really) Dr. Regal tries to get some information from Lan's Dad. Regal then calls a navi named Cloudman and says that the team of navis are coming to his area. ----------- 3f.Air Raid ----------- Lan and his friends have a hangout and once his friends are gone, a voice calls lan. Then a guy with blonde hair and pink glasses comes up to Lan. He wants to tell something to Lan in the park. The guy introduces himself as Charlie. He wants to learn you netbattling technique. He wants Lan to meet his navi in the Squirrel. Lan will automatically jack in to the squirrel. Squirrel Comp 1 This area is like the Water God Comp from BN4. A maze with 16 identical areas. We need to get to Area 16. Here's a map of the maze. 8 16 | | 6 7 1314 15 \ / |/ / 4 5 1112 \ / |/ 3 10 | | 2 9 \ / 1 There are also BMDs in some of the areas. 3: 100z 4: 200z 5: Charge +1(white) 6: Gundelsol1 A 8: HP Memory 10: 300z 11: 400z 13: RegUp1 15: First Barrier(blue) Before you can do anything, Chaud e-mails you a Soul Unison Tutorial. MettuarEX x3 The MettaurEXs attack one-by-one. When they don't attack, they put up their sheild. Select the Thunderball chip and select 'unison'. You will fuse with Magnetman and become Magnet Soul. Delete the Mettaurs anyway you want. You'll get an e-mail about Magnet Soul when the battle is done. In this new area is the Trumpy virus from last game. When it blows music, it makes all the other viruses on its side of the field invincible. Try getting the BMDs before going to Area 16. In Area 16 is a navi that looks like a walking helicopter. He's Charlie's navi, Gyroman. Talk to Gyroman. He'll talk to you and jack-out. Charlie will then leave. Chaud will then call you and tell you there are some Nebula navis left in the Oran Area. Before you do anything else, talk to the Netopian guy hiding behind Higsby's to buy a DarkSound E. The first Darkchip of 12! Using dark chips lower your HP by 1 PERMANENTLY. They also make you a bit dark. Only Megaman can use dark chips. None of your team navis can. Higsby's is also now open! Higsby himself is absent, but his assistant Nanako from last game is there. Talk to her to find out what's being sold. Higsby's Normal Stock Yo-yo D-5800z Blinder D-6500z Iceseed A-7800z Gundelsol2 G-8400z Super Vulcan S-9800z Super Vulcan is nice. It's been priced down from 21000z and is very useful. The other chips are kind of overpriced, especially the Yo-yo and Iceseed. Check the bin for a few other chips. Higsby's Bargain Bin Minibomb *-300z Vulcan1 *-400z Barrier *-600z Minibomb shouldn't be priced that high even if it IS a wildcard... Check the left chip shelf to find BubbleWrap Y being sold for 4200z. Since you can't jack-in from Oran Isle, go to the Oran Area through the ACDC Area. Oran area 1 There's a Heel Navi in Area 1. Talk to him to get into a fight. Bugtank ChampyEX Windbox Get rid of the Windbox before it causes major trouble. Head west to Area 2. Oran Area 2 Head down the path and go down the small path between the bend in the path to find a BMD with Vulcan2 C. Follow the path and you'll find another Heel Navi near the skull gate. CactikilEX x2 MettaurEX This one should pose little problem. Once done, follow the path and go up the ramp to the upper level to find a Heel Navi near a big blue gate. Bugtank BugtankEX Vacuumfan The Vacuumfan can pull you in, so take it out fast. Head down the left path near the gate to find a portal leading to the Crane Comp. Inside are two BMDs with a RegUp2 and 1000z. When you're done, head to Oran Area 3. Oran Area 1 Near the entrance to Oran Area 3 is Magnetman's 'battle data'. You can fight it for a navi chip. ---------------- Magnetman.EXE V2 ---------------- HP: 800 Element: Elec Movement: Moderately fast. When it appears under your feet, move off the panel. Magnet Missile: Magnetman will make two magnets appear. It will go down the row its in and turn when it gets to your column. Works like the Ratton chips from BN3. Simply move off your column when it turns. He now shoots TWO of those damned missiles making them harder to avoid. Strategy: Same strategy applies for this version. The two Magnet Missiles could be hard to evade without using magnet panels. You're going to have to use magnet panels to go around the missiles when they come near. Once you get his navi chip, head to Area 3. Oran Area 3 Fight the first Heel Navi in the area. MettaurEX x2 Bugtank Go farther to find another Heel Navi. CactikilEX x2 MettaurEX Go northwest to find a NCP Dealer. Fan Batty x2 After the battle, Chaud will call and say to go to Scilab Area 2. Head through Oran Area 3. Go north of where Shademan was to trigger a cutscene. ANOTHER Heel Navi will appear to fight you. BattyEX x2 MettuarEX Once done with him, head through the arrow to the Scilab Area. Scilab Area 1 The Scilab Area looks like utter chaos... In this area is a new enemy. The Catack. it slowly advances down its row and steals any of your panels it comes across. After it stops, it will shoot its cannon down the row which will cause an explosion, in the back row. If the cannon hits an obstacle or Megaman, it/he will be pushed to the back row. Go west to find a PMD with Geyser M. Use Megaboy's maps if you have trouble navigating. It's like a maze in this area. Head to area 2. Scilab Area 2 Another new enemy wil appear in this area. The Handis from BN2 are back. They still go to their front column and lay timebombs which explode is 4 seconds. The timebomb can be destroyed before it explodes and hit all panels of your side of the field. In this area there are two BMDs with an HP Memory and the Sheild NCP. Head down the easternmost path until you get a trio of black clouds. When Mega tries to go through, he will just get pushed back. Chaud then calls and tells Lan to come back later. When Megaman jacks-out, Gyroman will come. Charlie tells Gyroman to keep an eye on Megaman. Gyroman doesn't like the idea, but Charlie tells him to do it. After that cutscene is over, head home and sleep. Day 2 is over. --------------------- 3g.Dark Thunderclouds --------------------- The next day you get an e-mail from Tesla that says a helicopter navi challenged Magnetman and stole his vital programs. She needs you to come to Oran Isle. Head to Oran Isle and go to the Oldmine. Go up the slope outside the Oldmine and head into the cave at the top of the slope. At the end is a scientist that sells DarkTornado T for 500z. That's the second dark chip! Head back to where the drill is and outisde the mine at the top of the mine(before the fourth door) is Mr.Famous! He now has a new navi. Try your skills against Gridman. ----------- Gridman.EXE ----------- HP: 700 Element: None Movement:Moderately slow Attacks: Hell Tackle: Gridman or one of his two clones of the field will charge down their row if they catch you in their row. The clones can be destroyed, but reappear after a couple of seconds. Magnum Kick: Gridman will kick a football into the air and it will land on a 2x2 area of panels. Panels will flash before it lands. Football Bounce: Gridman will throw a football which will bounce on your panels. Very annoying. Death Touchdown!: Gridman will make a touchdown post appear on the end of your side of the field. He will then dash diagonally to the touchdown post. If he gets to the post, an explosion will hit all your panels. To stop the dash, hit him while he's moving. He only does this when low on HP, but rarely. Strategy: Gridman has a special type of Super Armor. It keeps him from getting stunned by multi-hitting attacks(like Air Hockey and Vulcan), but it allows his attacks to be stopped when he's hit. Gridman moves slightly slow, so he's easy to hit. watch out for his clones and the bouncing football and you should be fine. Once done with Gridman, head to the drill room and talk to Tesla. She says Magnetman's programs have been scattered throughout the Drill Comps. There are four programs. One for each area. Don't worry about the conveyors and rocks. The conveyors have all stopped. At the end of Area 1 is the Though Program. Area 2 has the Language Program. Area 3 has the Movement Program. Finally, Area 4 has the Attack Program. Once Tesla installs the programs, Magnetman is back to normal. Tesla then talks about the helicopter navi who dismantled Magnetman. Charlie then appears and says he did it. Then, he leaves. Lan tries to catch him, but he's gone. After the cutscene is over, you'll be back outside. Lan wants to ask Chaud about information on Charlie. Head to Scilab and outside is a kid. He's near the vending machine. He has a quiz for you. Select the answers in this order: 2,1,3,2,2. After you answer his questions, the kid will give you Dark Thunder M. The third dark chip! Go down the steps and talk to the old guy to buy Dark Sword Z for 500z. That's the fourth! Go into the room behind the Main System room in Scilab and talk to Chaud. He tells you the name of Gyroman's operator is Charlie Airster. He's the top pilot in a Netopian helicopter group. After the conversation, alarms go off! Nebula's attacking the Oran Area. Access from Oran Isle is cut off, so we'll have to go through the ACDC Area again... Oran Area 1 Once you arrive Gyroman is right there, but he turns into a helicopter and flies away... There are clouds all over the area that we can't get through, but go down the ramp to a program that will give you the Mega Vacuum for free! It can suck up any clouds. It has a gauge which tells how many clouds it can hold. Clouds take up bars to the gauge. When the gauge is full, go to a program to empty it. These are how many bars the clouds fill up: White: 1 Golden: 1 Gray: 3 Thunder: 5 Golden clouds could contain a chip, zenny, or even viruses. Vacuum all the clouds on the main path and near the entrance to Area 2, you'll see Gyroman. He'll go into Gyro Form and fly away AGAIN. Head into Area 2. Oran Area 2 There's a program near the beginning of the area that will be taking the contents of your vacuum for a while. Since the other program can't take all of the clouds. He can only take them once. After the second program, you'll see Gyroman again, and guess what he does. He flies to the Scilab Area... Head all the way to Scilab Area 1. Scilab Area 1 There's only one program that can fully empty your vacuum. The others can't do it completely. There's also one that can't empty at all. On the way you meet with Gyroman, but, you guessed it, he flies away AGAIN. Head to Area 2. Scilab Area 2 There are three programs that can only empty your vacuum once, but you have to clear in a specific pattern. If you get it wrong, leave the area. Your vacuum gets empty, but the clouds come back. For the first program, clear the gray cloud to the right and then the thunder clouds. Clear the white cloud in front of you to find the first program. It won't completely clear your vacuum. For the second program, head west and suck in the gray cloud. Then, the white and golden clouds respectively to find the second program. For the thrid program, clear the thunder cloud next to the golden one. Then, clear the golden cloud to find the third program. It will fully empty your vacuum once. Suck up the two thunder clouds nearby to find a program that will empty your vacuum as many times as you want. Now that the annoyance is over, head northeast while vacuuming clouds to find Gyroman. He doesn't run away this time, though. Feel free to let out your anger on him... ----------- Gyroman.EXE ----------- HP: 600 Element: None Movement: Moderate Attacks: Gyro Attack: Gyroman will throw a propeller and goes down its row and turns like a Magnet Missile, but unlike a Magnet Missile it can also go diagonally. Very annoying. Tornado Arm: Gyroman will go to his front column(on the same row as you) and shoot a 3-panel long twister. The farther you are, the more it hits. Gyro Machinegun: If you try to hit Gyroman with a straightforward attack, he will go into Gyro Form and shoot your panel with a machinegun. Move off the panel when he's about to shoot. Gyro Airforce: Gyroman will go into Gyro Form, pass by, and bomb random panels on your three columns. Get off ANY flashing panels. Strategy: Gyroman's propeller can be annoying. Try to avoid hitting him with a straightforward attack. Gyroman isn't that hard. Just try to avoid most of his attacks or you'll lose HP fast. After the battle, Gyroman was testing you. He wanted to see if you were strong enough to stay on the team. He tells you to go back to the dark clouds. Head back to the dark clouds and a cutscene will take place. Gyroman will fly over the dark clouds and bomb the dark chip creating them. The clouds will disappear, allowing us to go through. ------------ 3h.Mission 3 ------------ Head into Scilab Area 3 to start the mission when ready. Scilab Area 3 Cloudman is the guy who created those annoying clouds! We also have a new teammate. Gyroman. Gyroman can fly over dark panels, but he can't fly over minibosses or Dark Holes. He starts with 250 HP. His out-of-battle ability is Bomb Liberation. It allows him to liberate any dark panel he is flying over without a battle. Gyroman's special chip is G-Airforce. He basically goes into Gyroform and bombs the row he's on. Gyroman's charged shot is Tornado Arm and like Magnetman, he has Omni Shoes. There is a new things introduced to Liberation Missions. Barrier Panels. They block your path and you need a key to unlock them. The keys are hidden in item panels. There are also BigBrute2's here. Their attacks hurt more. Cloudman's out-of-battle attack is Dark Cloud. It does 50 damage and paralyzes any navi hit by it for one turn. The Target Phase for this mission is 9 phases. Once you get to Cloudman, feel free to release your anger on him for that cloud vacuuming... ------------ Cloudman.EXE ------------ HP: 700 Element: Elec Movement: Slow Attacks: Thunderball: There are clouds on Cloudman's side of the field. If your on the same row as one for too long, it flashes yellow and shoots a thunderball down the row. Paralyzes if hit. Thunder Cloud: Cloudman will stop moving and make a thunder cloud appear numerous times to shoot thunder in a '+' shape. Elec Storm: Cloudman disappears. Then, a couple of clouds will appear on his side of the field, and a HUGE cloud will appear and move around your side of the field. Shoot out the clouds to find the one that Cloudman is hiding in. Only then will the cloud disappear. Strategy: Once again you only have two columns... Cloudman moves alone his BACK column doing various stuff, which makes short-range chips USELESS. Those clouds can be destroyed with a buster shot but respawn after a few seconds. Use Cactusball after shooting the clouds. Cloudman is very annoying to attack. Watch out for his Elec Storm. It can damage you badly if your not careful. Bonus Panel Chips: MegaEnergyBomb K Wideblade A Firehit2 I Pulsar2 G Item Panel Chips: Parabomb H Rewards: Phase 5-7: Cloudman SP C Phase 8-9: Cloudman C Phase 10+: 3000z Cloudman will blow up and the area will be liberated. Gyroman gets Gyro Soul in a cutscene. Then, a shadow appears under Mega and a Dark Cloud lands on him! The Dark Cloud takes off with Mega before the team can do anything. After that, Megaman wakes up on a table. Roll, Glyde, and Gutsman are in a cage nearby and don't seem to notice him. A Heel Navi says Mega has human DNA. He then infuses a dark chip inside of him. Dr.Regal wants the dark chip to make Mega dark. Lan wakes up and checks his PET for messages. He finds one from Chaud. Lan isn't too happy about Mega's kidnapping. You can now head to Higsby's and check the middle chip shelf for a Django D being sold for 7300z. Head to Scilab and go east of where the old man who sold Dark Sword was to arrive at Scilab Docks. Near the bid red double doors is a lady. She has a quiz for you. Answer the questions like this: 1,2,2,1,2,2,1,3,2,3. You'll get Dark Lance M, the fifth dark chip! Down near the ship is a woman selling Dark Meteor F for 3000z. That's the sixth dark chip! Head to Chaud and he'll tell you about another mission. Lan doesn't seem too happy and there's a black screen where Lan punches Chaud. He doesn't want to be on the team anymore. After the cutscene, head back to Chaud to trigger a cutscene where he will install Protoman into your PET. He says the next mission is in End Area 2. We can get there from the Oran Area. Protoman has the same abilities he has in a Liberation Mission. The Navi Customizer doesn't work on him. He also can't take HP Memories. Head to Oran Area 2. Go to the gate on the upper level. Oran Area 2 Examine the gate to find out it is owned by Scilab. Head to Scilab Area 4. Scilab Area 2 Gyroman's 'battle data' is here. Fight him for a navi chip. -------------- Gyroman.EXE V2 -------------- HP: 800 Element: None Movement: Moderate Attacks: Propeller Throw: Gyroman will throw a propeller and goes down its row and turns like a Magnet Missile, but unlike a Magnet Missile it can also go diagonally. Buy them if you can. The other chips aren't too useful.Head to Area 4. Scilab Area 4 The area has loads of conveyors. Use Megaboy's maps if you need help navigating. At the back of the area is an official navi. Talk to him to get into a fight. Handi x3 After the battle, he will give you the ScilabKey. In the eastern part of the area is a BMD containing a MegaFolder1 NCP. In the southwestern part of the area is a female navi that sells DarkWide T for 1000z. That's the seventh dark chip! In the center of this area is a portal that leads to the Server Comp. It has a BMD containing an HP Memory but Protoman can't take it. Come back later. The other end of the Server Comp has a portal leading back to Oran Area 2. Head for the big gate. Oran Area 2 The gate will unlock and you can head through. End Area 1 This area looks very dark and chaotic... Head down the first slope to find a PMD containing the Collect NCP. You can also find an invisible path leading to a Heel Navi that sells DarkDrill D for 3000z. That's the eighth dark chip! This area also has two new viruses. Whirly and Mettfire. It moves slowly around its side of the field and stops. It turns into a water tornado and moves down the top row and turn when it gets to your column. Then, it moves down the the bottom row. It's aqua elemental. Mettfire isn't actually new. It was in BN2. It will move around for a bit and then flatten itself and send meteors on random panels of your side. It loves to hide behind any obstacles on the field. There are grass panels here so be careful. It's fire elemental. This area is a big maze. You may want to use Megaboy's maps to make your life easier. In the southwestern part of this area is a Netdealer. The other chips are slightly useful. In the northwesten part of the area is a BMD with RegUp2. When you arrive at the entrance to End Area 2, Dark Megaman will appear. The real Megaman breaks through the control and tells Protoman to quickly leave. Then, three Heel Navis will appear in front of Dark Megaman, who will jack-out. Protoman says he can take them, but then nine more Heel Navis jack-in. Lan says there are too many navis. He jacks-out Protoman. Head back to Chaud and he mentions he needs a navi with a lot of power. He will then send you on another mission to find someone with a navi like that. He wants you to go on a ship called Queen Bohemia at the Scilab docks. He can't go because the party on the ship is being sponsored by UberCorp(XD!) and his company is a competitor to it. Chaud says Lan needs an invitation. Head to Oran and talk to Tesla. She has an invitation. She'll give it to you. The party isn't until next day, so head home and sleep. Day 3 is over. ---------------------- 3i.Cruise Ship Robbery ---------------------- Once Lan wakes up, head to the docks and talk to the guy near the ship to show him your invitation. He'll ask if you want to get on. Say yes to get on the ship. The ship looks like a movie presentation. The red carpet pretty much gives away this is some rich person's party. Once we get inside, Lan will see a Netopian guy lurking around. Hmm. There's also a 10- Chip Trader in here. Jack-in to the Nebattle Machine to get a HP +50 NCP(pink). Then, talk to the blonde guy nearby he'll give you a stamp card. He wants you to collect three stamps. The first is at the front end of the ship. The second is at the ship's steering wheel above the deck. The third is at the pink couches inside the ship. There is a Subchip Dealer on the deck. Queen Bohemia Subchip Dealer Full Energy-1000z Sneak Run-300z Untrap-500z Head back to the blonde guy once you get all three stamps. He'll give you 1000z. A cutscene will then happen where a guy with a bandana is netbattling some rich dude and beat him. The rich guy claims he spent 10 million zenny buying valuable NC Programs(whoa!). Lan then goes to netbattle the guy in the bandana. They are about to netbattle when the ships starts to shake. Something is wrong in the Engine Room. Head into the ship and go to the door at the left end of the hall. It needs a code. The code is 11922911. We now need a place to jack-in. Jack-in to the fourth machine. Radar Comp In here, Protoman sees a Heel Navi right there, but he runs off. Here has a BMD which has Spin White. Get it and go through the portal at the other end of the area. AirConditioning Comp Here has a BMD with the Battery NCP. Head through the next portal. Screw Comp The BMD in here has a RegUP2. Take it and head through the other portal. Engine Comp Head up a bit to trigger a cutscene where Protoman finds the Heel Navi. The Netopian guy we saw before jacks-out the Heel Navi. Apparently, he works for Nebula. Protoman gets jacked-out, too. Head back to the Engine Comp to get two BMDs with Yo-yo F and a Submemory. It's time for the party. Head through the big double doors inside the ship. A cutscene will take place where UberCorp's new Booster System is being displayed. It could power up anything. The bid starts at 300,000,000z. One guy says its cheap and can afford it. He wants a demonstration. Inside the display case, eight official navis powered up by the Booster System are guarding it. Almost immediately, the lights go out and the official navis are unconcious! The Booster System is also gone. Lan asks the doorman if he say anyone. He says no. Everything thinks the Netopian guy did it. Lan then says he's a member of Nebula. The guy says he was going to steal it, but someone else got to it before him. Hmm. Before doing anything, jack-in to the wine case on the table to find a PMD with Lance C. There's also a BMD with an HP Memory in the display case. Protoman can't get it. Talk to everyone in the room. Check all the tables and all the mirrors. Also inspect the display case. Protoman will ask you what do you think happened. Select Mirror and then choose Reflection. Lan says the person who stole the system used the light rays reflected from the mirror to jack-in their navi and steal the Booster System without anyone noticing. This means that someone else swiped the system. Head to the Engine Room and inspect the ladder to end up on the deck. You'll see the blonde guy unconcious and the guy wearing the bandana. His name is Fyrefox(weird name) and he stole the Booster System because he wants to make better fireworks. He wants you to find his navi in the Ship's Computer. Lan will automatically jack-in. Ship Comp Area 1 The REAL Ship Comp 1 was cut out in the American Version(this is Area 2 in the Japanese Version). Talk to the program to find out about the Ship Comp. You have an air gauge. It tells how much air you have left. If you run out of air your HP starts to deplete. There is an ocean in the Ship Comp with various stuff. The whirpools spin around and take away some of your air if you touch them. The currents push you back, but you can prevent yourself from being pushed back by going in the opposite direction of the current. You losesome air while doing this, though. You can refill your air by going to bubbles. This is actually Ship Comp 2 in the Japanese Version. Use Megaboy's maps if you have trouble. The Ship Area are like a maze. There are aqua panels in battle here. They slow you down a bit and electric attacks can get doubled on them. There is also a new virus here. Marina. It moves slowly and stops to shoot bubbles with anchors in them. The bubbles move diagonally. If a bubble is popped, the anchor inside of it goes down the row. If on an aqua panel, it can hide under it making itself invulnerable to all attacks except electric attacks. It's aqua elemental. There is a gate blocking the way. Head down into the ocean to find it. Follow the path and go in the opposite direction of the current. Go down the right path near the second current to find air bubbles at a dead-end. Follow the path more to find another current. Go in the opposite direction of it. On that path is a dead-end with an HP Memory. Head down the path more to find air bubbles and the first key. Near the key is a warp leading back to the surface. Unlock the gate and you'll find another gate that need to be unlocked. Head into the ocean again. Go down and pass the currents when they stop. Follow the path to get air and then there are two currents. Let the rightmost one push you to a BMD with a RegUp3. Go past the whirlpools and get the key. Then, go to the warp and unlock the gate on the surface. Go to Area 2(3 in Japanese Version). Ship Comp Area 2 There is only one gate here, but it needs three keys. Head down into the ocean to find them. There are three ways to go. Go right and go up at the square with the moving whirlpools. Follow the path up and go left to find air bubbles. Go right and let the current push you to a platform with a SubMemory and more air bubbles. Go to the end of the platform and let the current push you across. Follow the path and go up the ramp to find a key. Before going to the warp, go back down the path and head to the dead-end to find a BMD with GrassSeed A. Head to the warp. Go back down into the water and go right, then up. Ignore the platform where you got the SubMemory. Follow the main path while passing currents to get the second key. Go to the warp. Go back into the ocean and go down instead of right. Follow the zig-zag path while avoiding the currents and the whirlpools near the end of the path to get the last key. Go through the warp and unlock the gate with all three keys. Head to Area 3(Area 4 in the Japanese Version). Ship Comp Area 3 Here we go, the last area. This gate only needs one key, but the area is a HUGE maze. Megaboy's maps help a LOT here. There are also ice panels in this area. They don't double the damage of electric attacks any more. You still slide on them, though. There are also two new viruses here. Bomboy and Shakey. Bomboys are as annoying as ever. They still push a bomb down their row and it explodes when it gets to your side. You can delay it by shooting the bomb with your buster. Shakey is actually Sparky from BN2. It moves up and down the field and damages anything it comes in contact with. It orbits around any obstacles it touches. It's elec elemental. Go into the ocean and head down to get the BMD near the current. It's an ExpMemory. Head down the other direction and let the current blow you onto the platform. Head up from the square and take the left path. Let the current blow you to another square. Get the air bubbles at the square. Head up from that square and go up the ramp for air. Go back down and and follow the path to let another current hit you. Follow the path and get the air bubbles along the way. Avoid whirlpools on that path. Ignore the other path for now and go to the end of the path and let the current blow you to a platform with an Attack +1(white). Go to the other path and follow it to find some bubbles at a dead-end. Go back on the path and let the first current blow you to a platform. Go to the end of that platform to find a current which will take you to the platform with the key. Take the key and go through the warp. SAVE before opening that gate. An annoying fight is ahead. Behind the gate you'll find Napalmman back from BN2. Apparently, he's Fyrefox's navi. He wants you to battle him. ------------- Napalmman.EXE ------------- HP: 800 Element: Fire Movement: Moderately Fast Attacks: Vulcan Arm: A gun will come up from the ground, lock on to you, and shoot down the row its on. It shoots three times. It also blocks direct attacks. Can only be destroyed by piercing chips. If the gun is destroyed on a specific row, it won't appear on that row again, but it will appear on other rows. Napalm Bombardment: Napalmman will lift his two arm cannons into the air and shoot two Napalm Bombs on two random panels of your side. The Bombs hit in a '+' shape. Napalm: A green circle will search every panel on your side of the field. If it locks-on to you. Napalmman will shoot Napalm from the cannon on his head and it will hit all the panels around the one it lands on. The panels will flash where it lands. Strategy: Napalmman is MUCH easer than he was in BN2. His Bombs don't crack panels on this version. If you have any aqua chips, use them. You can also use SeaSeed to lower his HP. Since he's a fire navi his HP depletes on aqua panels. Watch out for his Vulcan Arm and its tendency to block attacks. Other than that, you have nothing to worry about. Once you beat Napalmman, Napalmman will say that was a good fight. Fyrefox then notices the Booster System is missing. Protoman says he swiped it during the battle. Protoman also notes Napalmman's power. Protoman asks if he wants to join the team. Fyrefox will say yes. The Netopian guy is blamed for stealing the Booster System. Lan will be outside the ship, since the party was cancelled because of the robbery. You can go back on the ship and examines the life jackets in the Captain's area to find a RegUp2. Head to End Area 1 when in control. End Area 1 The 12 Heel Navis will jack-in again, but Napalmman will shoot Napalm at them causing all of them to blow up. Go to End Area 2 when your ready to start the mission. ------------ 3j.Mission 4 ------------ Napalmman starts with 300 HP. Napalmman's out-of-battle ability is Napalm. He can liberate panels in the shape of a cross. Like so: x xxx x x N x-range of Napalm N-Napalmman Napalm destroys any items in its range, except keys. Napalmman loses HP on aqua panels. He is fire elemental and takes double damage from aqua elemental attacks. He doesn't have a charged shot. Instead if you hold B he'll fire a vulcan that keeps on shooting until you let go off B. Very handy for lowering an enemy's HP fast. His special chip is Napalm. He shoots Napalm four panels away which hits all the panels around it. The boss you'll be fighting is Dark Megaman. His out-of-battle attack is his Mega Buster it hits anything within range for 50 damage. The Tinhawk2 is now here. It basically hurts more and is faster than a regular Tinhawk. There is also a new miniboss here. the Bladia. It's out-out-battle attack is Dark Slash. It has the same range as a BigBrute's Beast Breath. In battle, Bladia can ocasionally block your attacks with its sword. After a while it lifts up its sword and attacks the column your on. The column it hits is cracked. You have 10 phases for this mission. GO! ------------ Dark Megaman ------------ HP: 800 Element: None Movement: Fast Attacks: Mega Buster: He uses his buster to attack you. He can shoot charged shots without charging them. Chip Usage: He can use any chips you have in your folder. P.A. Usage: He uses any P.A.s you may have used recently. Strategy: Dark Megaman is easy enough. Just watch out for any powerful chips or P.A.s he uses. You also still have two columns to cope with. Other than that, he's easy enough. Bonus Panel Chips: Geyser G Wind Racket F Cactusball2 Q Yo-yo E Item Panel Chips: AquaWhirl2 O Rewards: Phase 5-8: FullCustom * Phase 9-10: AntiNavi M Phase 11+: 4000z After the mission Lan tries to get through to the real Mega, but Dark Megaman has heavy control over Mega's body. He pulls out a cannon to delete the navis, but the real Mega keeps him from firing it. They start to fight over Mega's body, but the real Mega wins and the darkness is gone. He then collapses. Protoman takes Mega back to Lan's PET and Protoman goes back to Chaud's PET. Napalmman's soul then joins with Mega's and we get Napalm Soul! The screen then goes black. ------------- 3k.The Clones ------------- Regal isn't too happy and calls upon a navi named Cosmoman. Cosmoman has a plan to stop the navis. Regal then talks about something called the Hikari Report. In Scilab, Chaud, Lan, Tesla, Charlie, and Fyrefox are in a meeting. Chaud says the team has a new member. Then, Raika from last game comes in. Charlie seems to know who he is. Apparently Charlie was in a no-flight zone in Sharo and got deported by Raika. Tesla seems to like Raika, but he says he doesn't like women who wear a lot of make-up(XD!). Chaud says the team needs to go to End Area 4. There's a way from there to the Undernet, apparently. You'll then get three e-mails about Gyro Soul, Napalm Soul, and Chaos Unisons. First though, head to Higsby's and check the right chip shelf to buy NumberBall N for 9500z. You should also get the HP Memories that Protoman couldn't get back in the ship scenario. Now, head to End Area 4. End Area 1 Go down the first slope to find Napalmman's 'battle data' in a square. Battle it for a navi chip. ---------------- Napalmman.EXE V2 ---------------- HP: 1000 Element: Fire Movement: Fast Attacks: Vulcan Arm: A gun will come up from the ground, lock on to you, and shoot down the row its on. It shoots three times. It also blocks direct attacks. Can only be destroyed by piercing chips. If the gun is destroyed on a specific row, it won't appear on that row again, but it will appear on other rows. Napalmman now has TWO of these annoying guns. Napalm Bombardment: Napalmman will lift his two arm cannons into the air and shoot two Napalm Bombs on two random panels of your side. The Bombs hit in a '+' shape. Napalm: A green circle will search every panel on your side of the field. If it locks-on to you, Napalmman will shoot Napalm from the cannon on his head and it will hit all the panels around the one it lands on. The panels will flash where it lands. Strategy: His attacks hurt more and its harder to hit him since he moves faster. The best time to hit him is when he shoots Napalm Bombs or when he shoots Napalm. He isn't that hard. Just watch out for his guns. In End Area 1, where the RegUp2 was, there is an invisible path leading to a warp. The warp leads to... Undernet Area 1 Wasn't expecting this place, huh? Be careful. There is a new virus here. Skelly. It moves around the field and then throws a bone that follows you around. If hit by an attack, it will crumble and take no more damage(the skull will disappear when its crubled) for a seconds until it reforms again. Chips that paralyze will just keep it solid for a few extra seconds until it crumbles. Follow the path and go down the slope to find a bird-like navi. His name is Larkman and you can netbattle him. ----------- Larkman.EXE ----------- HP: 900 Element: None Movement: Moderately fast Attacks: Lark Cutter: Larkman stops and shoots a white bird that zips down the row its launched from. When it gets to the end of your field, it will turn around and go down the row your on. Very annoying. Lark Drive: Larkman will disappear off the field and panels will flash. Larkman will the zip along the flashing panels very fast. Air Dive: Larkman will disappear off the field and dive along the row your on. Breaks any chips you have loaded if hit. Strategy: That Lark Cutter is annoying to avoid. Watch out for it. Larkman isn't affected by any type of panels by the way. He can even float over holes. His Air Dive can break your chips, but it's easy to avoid anyway. Larkman should be easy enough to defeat. Head back to End Area 1 and head to End Area 2. End Area 2 In this area is a Heel Navi who will give you Dark Recovery H and then fight you in a battle. Marina x2 Fan That's the ninth dark chip! Only three more left. Head through to End Area 3. End Area 3 This area is a big maze. There are also aqua and grass panels in battle. Use Megaboy's maps if you have trouble navigating. Follow the path and don't turn right at the three-way intersection to find a BMD with an HP Memory. Go right at the intersection and head up the slope at the end. Follow the path and go down the second ramp. Follow the path and go up the next ramp. Go past the square and head down the ramp nearby to find a path leading to End Area 4. Going past the entrance to End Area 4 leads to an area with a PMD that has RainyDay G. End Area 4 This place looks like a mess. There are magnet panels in battle here so watch out. Grass panels are here, too. This place is a big maze with one-way arrows. Very annoying to navigate. You may have to use Megaboy's maps to get through. In this area is a new virus. WuNote. It moves along its column and creates three shrubs on your front column. It will then become the shrub on your row and stretch its nose to attack you. The nose has a range of two panels ahead of the shrub. Coming into contact with any of the shrubs is damaging. A shrub can be destroyed by a buster shot. WuNotes are wood elemental. Go down the slope and to the dead-end ahead to find a PMD with Variable Sword V. Head right and go over the one-way arrow pointing up. Follow the path past the square to find a BMD with SpinYellow at a dead-end. Continue down the path and ignore the first arrow. Go on the second arrow down the path. Go up the ramp and go up at the four way intersection (ignore the arrow) to find the team. Searchman is trying to unlock the gate blocking the way, but Raika gets a call from Sharo and has to leave. The team will jack-out. Go into Dad's Lab and you'll see Raika, but he'll leave. Go to the big system and examine it to get data. Leave Scilab and head back to Mr.Famous on Oran. He's upgraded Gridman to V2. -------------- Gridman.EXE V2 -------------- HP: 1000 Element: None Movement:Moderately slow Attacks: Hell Tackle: Gridman or one of his two clones of the field will charge down their row if they catch you in their row. He only does this when low on HP. Strategy: Gridman uses Death Touchdown more often and he moves faster while doing it. Other than that, he should be as easy as last time. He gives you his navi chip once you beat him. There's also a quiz man in the last room of the Old Mine past the drill room. The answers for the quiz are: 2,3,2,3,1,3,3,2,3,2,2,3,2,3,2. You get the Chivalry NCP for doing that quiz. Head back to Scilab and go near the entrance of the docks to see Raika. Talk to him and Lan will tell him if Searchman can decode the data. Go to Dad's Lab and a cutscene will take place. Raika comes in and tells Searchman to decode the data. It's a message from Tadashi Hikari(Lan's grandfather) to his son(Yuichiro or Lan's Dad). It says that Yuichiro has to feed a dog named Gow. And then there's some kind of symbols after that. Head home and talk to Lan's Mom, then check the window to find a clue. Head to the Old Mine at Oran and jack-in to the Air Filter Machine in the cave before the ramp leading up to Mr.Famous. Press A at the northeastern corner of the area to find Memory Data. It says Gow likes big fish. Mega will then mention the fish gargoyles in a place called End City. Lan will then appear back outside the Old Mine. We now need to head to End City. Go to Yai's boat and choose to go to End City. Once in End City, go down the stairs to find a Subchip Dealer. End City Subchip Dealer Full Energy-1000z Unlocker-4000z Lock Enemy-6000z Go back up the stairs and jack-in to the Dumpling Cooker to find a BMD with Metagel T. Talk to Raika and he'll walk off. Talk to the guy outside the castle. He'll say you can't go in because something's wrong with the system in End Area 3. Go down the stairs and jack-in to the statue. End Area 2 Head to End Area 3. End Area 3 Head to the shrine near the way to End Area 4 and you'll see Searchman doing something. He'll jack-out without saying anything. Megaman will then fix the system. Jack-out and talk to the guy behind the counter. You can now go in. Go through the castle and when your in the room with the man sitting down, jack-in to the branch thing to find a BMD with Airspin2 B. Head to the roof of the castle and examine the eye of the right fish to find a DataDisk. It has an OldKey and TextData. Check the right eye of the left fish to find an HP Memory. Head to ACDC 3 after this. ACDC Area 3 There's a square with an official navi. Press A at the north part of that square to trigger a cutscene. Mega uses the OldKey and a door appears. Head through and you'll be in a place that looks like the real world. A woman will pass by and say Lan's Mom had two babies named Lan and Hub. Mega then says this must be ACDC Town 11 years in the past! Go behind the house to find a dog. That is Gow. ACDC Town looks different. Maylu wasn't born yet, Dex's house didn't belong to him, and Yai's mansion was being built. There's also a regular house in place of Higsby's shop. Viruses appear on holy panels here. Talk to everyone and then 6 Heel Navis will appear. They don't see Mega, but they plan on taking over this area. Talk to the leader to get into a fight. PowieEX x2 WuNoteEX PowieExs can hit to the panel above and below them with an explosion when they land. There are also five more Heel Navis to deal with. Marina x2 Shakey HandiEX x2 Shakey x2 Mettfire BugtankEX x2 WuNoteEX Bomboy x2 Shakey Once all of them are deleted, Searchman will appear and say he has joined Nebula! Jack-out and talk to Chaud at Scilab. Chaud doesn't really seem surprised. Go home and sleep. Day 4 is over. While Lan is asleep, we cut to Searchman who has a Heel navi trapped. Megaman then appears and shoots Searchman with his buster. Megaman and the Heel Navi both jack-out. How could that be Megaman when we're asleep!? Hmmm. ------------------- 3l.Castle Craziness ------------------- Once you wake up, you'll get an e-mail saying that something is wrong in End Area 3. Head to the shrine there. End Area 3 Once you examine the shrine, an official navi will come and ask what are you doing. Mega tells him he's trying to fix the system. The official navi says you have to do it from the main server inside the Gargoyle. Jack-out and head into the castle to find the way blocked by steel bars. Examine the hologram of the guy and Lan will say he's missing something. Jack-in to a katana to find a BMD with an HP Memory. Talk to the navi in the center to fight. DrixolEX x2 Eleogre Eleogres move around and then stop to shock your column with electricity. Stay off lit panels. It's elec elemental The navi will give you the KatanaData. Jack-out and jack-in to an armor. Inside the Armor is a BMD with the HP +100(yellow) NCP. Talk to the navi in the middle to get into another fight. Ninjoy x2 Ninjoys were called Snappers in BN2. If you try to hit them with a direct attack, they disappear and then appear of the panel next to you so they can hit all the panels around them. The navi will give you the ArmorData after. Now jack-in to a helmet. In the helmet are two BMDS with a RegUp2 and MegaEnergyBomb C. Talk to the navi to get into another fight. Zomon x2 Batty If a Zomon catches you in its row it'll zip to its front column and use a Widesword and then a Longsword. It can use a Longsword first if you are on the same row as it. It also has an Areagrab so watch out. Its sword attacks don't make you flinch. After the battle you get HelmetData. Examine the holographic man again to put the stuff on him and the steel bars will go up. Head up the stairs and check the statue to get a WoodenSword. You have to play a mini-game where you have to hit 100 warriors with the sword. You use diagonals to turn and B to swing the sword. It's HIGHLY ANNOYING. It's probably THE hardest thing to do in the game. It may take you multiple tries depending on how good your fingering is. Once that nonsense is done with, the green statue will move and allow you to proceed. Head up to the top of the castle. At the top a guy will run down and say the castle is going to explode! Jack-in to the left gargoyle. Gargoyle Comp Area 1 Talk to the program to find out about the areas. You have to bring a colored ninja program to the button with the color that matches its color. Pass through a ninja to make it follow you. Talk to the regular program to make all the ninjas go back to their original positions. If there is a regular program, talk to it first before picking up ninja programs. In this area are the Larks, back from BN4. They still shoot wide walls of water down the field. They're aqua elemental. Head to the dead-end and take the red ninja to the spear trap. It will dash past the spears and press the red button. Take the white ninja and head right to switch the white and blue ninja. Go left and switch the blue nija with the red one. Then, switch the red one with the silver and go over the arrow to the ceiling trap. The white ninja will jump over the trap and land on the white button. Head in the opposite direction of the trap to find a dead-end with a BMD containing Speed +1(pink). Head past the ceiling trap and the program will tell you about taking two ninjas at once. Take the white ninja and circe around the square to switch it with the blue one. Take the blue ninja and go up to switch it with the red ninja. Go to the one way panel and go back to where the square is. Go and replace the red ninja with the blue one and head right to replace the blue ninja with the white one. Circle around and replace the white with the blue and head to the water trap. The blue ninja will go over the water and push the blue button. Head past the trap and take the red ninja. Switch it with the blue ninja and circle around to get back the red ninja. Switch the red ninja with the white one and head left to a BMD with a HP Memory. Head back and switch the red ninja with the white one. Go to the trap so the ninja can disarm it. Head to Area 2. Gargoyle Comp Area 2 The American Version has the REAL Area 2 taken out. This is actually Area 3. Go left and take the blue ninja near the arrow. Head right and take another blue ninja. Go past all the arrows and switch a blue ninja with a white one. Take the BMD with HP +100(pink) and go back. Go down the first arrow and take the red ninja. Go on the arrow near the white ninja. Go left and through another arrow and take the white ninja. Get the red ninja and circle around the square until you get two red ninjas. Go past the blue ninja near the exit of that area a few times until you are outisde with two red ninjas. Head back to the path with the arrows along it while avoiding any ninjas. Go to the second arrow going up. Go around the ninjas and head to the two red buttons. Go through the middle path to get a white ninja. Switch the white ninja with the red near the arrow. Go through the arrow and go around the switch the red with the white. Switch the white with the red and then go to the white near the arrow. Take the white ninja and go on the arrow and head to the trap. Go through and take the BMD. It has an HP Memory. Take the blue ninja and switch it with the red ninja near the arrow. Go through the arrow and take the blue ninja near the beginning. Go back through the arrow near the trap and go around to take the other blue ninja. Go through the arrow and head to the water trap at the beginning. Head to the last area of this utter nonsense... Gargoyle Comp Area 3 We're finally at the last area! Go up and avoid the blue ninja. Pass the white ninja and get the red one. Go back to the arrow near the blue ninja (avoid any ninjas). There is a white ninja in this square. Circle around once to switch twice and go over the arrow with the red ninja. There is a white and a blue ninja in a circle. Circle around starting with the white ninja first and then proceed with the red ninja. At the rectange there is a blue and a white ninja. Circe around once, avoiding the arrow to retain the red ninja. Head into the dead-end and take the red ninja. Go up the arrow, avoiding the white ninja. Head down the path and avoid the blue ninja. Go to the third dead-end to find the last red ninja. Go back whole avoiding the blue ninja and go to the trap. Finally at the LAST TRAP! Follow the path. there are loads of intersections and red ninjas to avoid. To avoid all of them head: up,down, left, down, left, up at the second square with the red ninja. Head into the second dead-end and get the white ninja. Go back and pass the red ninja at the square. Circle around the next square with the impassable red ninja to retain the white ninja. Head over the arrow and go down to switch with the red ninja. Head left into the dead-end with a BMD containing Slasher R. Go back to the square and circle around it to get back the white ninja. Go right and pass the red ninja. Pass the trap and go to the dead end to get the second white ninja. Go to the trap and disarm it to find a blue ninja. Take the blue ninja and go past the first red ninja. Circle around the second one to retain the blue ninja. Head over the arrow and head into the square to circle around that square. It allows you to keep the blue ninja. Pass the dirst red ninja and go up at the square with the second right ninja. Go over the right arrow and then avoid the two red ninjas to get to a dead-end with a blue ninja. Head over the right arrow, then go: down, left, down, and over the left arrow. Circle around the square and stop at the red ninja to find a dead-end with the last blue ninja. Pass the red ninja and head: up,over the right arrow, over the next right arrow, right, over the arrow going down. Then head right to the last trap so the ninjas can disarm it. At the main server, Searchman appears and says that Mega let the Heel Navi he was after get away. Lan says Searchman works for Nebula. Time for a fight... ------------- Searchman.EXE ------------- HP: 800 Element: None Movement: Moderately Fast Attacks: Search Grenade: Searchman will roll a grenade down the row he's in. If it flashes it will explode in a 'x' shape. Scope Gun: Searchman will make a cursor appear on your panel and shoot that panel three times with his gun. Search Stealth: Searchman phases out of appearance, but he will still move around the field vulnerable to attack. He can't attack when he's invisible. If he's hit when he's invisible, he will be knocked out of it. Satellite Ray: Searchman only does this on low health, but rarely. A cursor will appear and move around your side of the field. If it touches you, Searchman will summon a satellite and it will shoot a beam on the panel you are on. The beam hits in a '+' shape and cracks the center panel it hits. Strategy: Searchman's grenades and his his stealth can get annoying. You're going to have to move a lot to avoid his attacks. Aiming chips such as Mark Cannon and Circle Gun can target him even when he's invisible. Searchman's easy enough, just don't let your HP get too low. After the battle, two Heel Navis will appear and say they disguised themselves as Searchman and Megaman. They say Mega and Searchman are too weak to fight and they will delete them. The screen then goes black and the two Heel Navis blow up, saying something about Comsoman. Searchman says that Cosmoman is the main Nebula navi in Sharo. He thens says that Cosmoman is in End Area 5. Head back to End Area 4 to the gate. ------------ 3m.Mission 5 ------------ End Area 4 Searchman unlocks the gate. Gyroman also has to stay behind to see if Nebula will send any reinforcements. End Area 5 The boss we have to face here is Cosmoman. We also have a new thing introduced to Liberation Missions. Traps. They are hidden in item panels and do 50 damage or paralyze any navi that finds them. Searchman's out-of-battle ability it Panel Search. He can search three panels ahead of him for any items. If he finds any items, you then have to fight a battle. If you win, you Liberate all the panels Searchman checked. Searchman takes any items out of the panels searched. If he finds a trap, he dismantles it. Searchman can search even more panels in there is an item panel connected to the third panel he searches. Searchman's charged shot is his Scope Gun. It hits the closest enemy a couple of times with his gun. His special chip is Satellite Ray. It freezes time and makes a cursor scan all panels. If you press A on a panel, that panel with be hit with a beam that hits in a '+' shape. Cosmoman's out-of-battle attack is Cosmo Planet. He makes a small planet appear and hit one of you navis for 80 damage. The Bladias have also been upgraded to Bladia2. You have 9 phases to finish this mission. ------------ Cosmoman.EXE ------------ HP: 1000 Element: None Movement: Moderately Slow Attacks: Cosmo Ring: Cosmoman throws a ring into the air. The panel it lands on will flash and then it will spin around a 2x2 area. Cosmo Buster: Cosmoman will go to his back column. Then three planets with rings around them will appear. He can shoot the planet at the bottom, middle, or top row. The planets take up three rows with the rings. The planets also move down the field. If a planet appears on the middle row, destroy the ring with your buster and move to a row the ring was blocking. The ring has 4 HP. The planets themselves can't be destroyed. Cosmo Meteor: Cosmoman will make a hole appear and a meteor will come down from the hole and hit in a '+' shape. Flashing panels show where the meteor will land. It comes quickly, too. Rarely does this. Cosmo Prison: Cosmoman will turn black(with stars on his body) and become invulnerable to attack. Then, he will send multiple asteroids down all your rows. This attack is almost IMPOSSIBLE to avoid without an Invisible chip. He only uses this on low HP. Strategy: Cosmoman's planets and the asteroids are HIGHLY annoying. The best thing to do is take him out quick with powerful attacks. The planets are easy to deal with unless its in the middle row. The asteroids are very annoying. Other than that, Cosmoman spends most of his time throwing rings and sending out planets. You have two columns again to make this battle even more annoying. Magnetman tries to destroy it, but fails... he tries again, but Protoman tells him to stop. Megaman also gets search Soul after this! Everyone jacks-out. -------------------- 3n.The Hikari Report -------------------- Dr.Regal in't very happy. He mentions that he found the Hikari Report. Lan and Maylu are in the park and Lan tells Maylu that he's a member of the team of navis Liberating the Internet. He says not to tell anything to Dex and Yai. Then, as if on cue, Dex and Yai appear and said they heard what Lan said. They talk for a bit until a girl comes. She says her name is Jasmine and asks Lan if he knows how to get to the Undernet. She wants to go so she can find a medicine book for her Grandfather. Lan doesn't want to tell her because its too dangerous. She then keeps on asking him and eventually leaves saying that she'll go to the Undernet on her own. You get a call from Chaud and an e-mail about Search Soul. Higsby's Normal Stock now has three new chips. FastGauge Q-10000z ElementRage K-12000z DeathPheonix D-25000z Death Pheonix is a giga chip. Very useful. It also recycles the last navi chip used. He'll say that 30 years ago, Tadashi Hikari made a special type of Internet. Chaud will then tell Lan about the Vision Burst. It's a part of the Internet that saves and records events that happened in the real world. Head back into the Vision Burst door in ACDC 3. ACDC Area 3 Head behind the house to trigger a cutscene where Protoman appears. He wants you to find out about the Hikari Report. Jack-out and talk to Lan's Mom to get a picture of Gow. After that, you get an e-mail with the Castle P-Code (For the Gargoyle Castle in End City. Just jack-in to the holgraphic guy sitting down.). Head to Oran and go up the slope outside the Old Mine to find an old man. Talk to him and he'll tell you about how Tadashi Hikari visited Oran. He'll tell you about his navi in Oran Area. In an area of the Old Mine is a former Nebula goon who will sell you the Nebula ID for 3000z. The Nebula Gates are at the following locations: ACDC Area 1: HP +200(yellow) NCP Oran Area 2: HP Memory Scilab Area 4: Magnum V End Area 4: Airshoes NCP Undernet Area 1(the other part where Larkman is): Dark Plus * You should get all the stuff behind the gates before continuing(get Dark Plus last). Larkman will the zip along the flashing panels very fast. Air Dive: Larkman will disappear off the field and dive along the row your on. Breaks any chips you have loaded if hit. Strategy: Larkman is faster than before, and his Lark Cutter is still as annoying as it ever was. Other than that you should have no problems. Head back to Oran and jack-in to the second speaker in the Old Mine. Talk to the same navi that you got the MineKey from, to get the Old P-Code. Jack-out and head to Scilab Area 3 where Cloudman was. Scilab Area 3 Go left to find a security cube. Unlock it with the Old P-Code. Head through the portal to wind up in an area. There is a BMD with a RegUP2 in here. Head through the portal to wind up in ACDC Area 2. ACDC Area 2 Head forward to find an official navi. He will say that he is Tadashi's navi. He will give you the PastKey and a clue. Jack-out and head back to the drill room on Oran. Jack-in to the fourth control box. Drill Comp Area 4 In the eastern part of the area is a program. Talk to it and it will say it see navis appear out of nowhere in that area. Head to the dead-end and press A to make a Vision Burst door appear. Head in. Talk to everyone. Most of them will mention MagnoMetal and how this place has a lot of it. Then, across the bridge you will see a Heel Navi holding Gow! Time to fight. HandiEX x2 Ninjoy HandiEXs lay glowing green timebombs with an X. If one gets hit ONCE, it will explode and hit all of your area. If you leave it there, the timebomb will destroy itself(it won't explode). Gow will run away after the battle. Inspect the bamboo to make him pop out again... Go to the beach to see Blizzarman take Gow! How DID Blizzardman come back!? We get a call that says Scilab is under attack! Head to Chaud's office at Scilab and jack-in to the system. Inside Scilab's HP is 5 Heel Navis and Shademan! Why is HE back again!? Shademan goes away and leaves the Heel Navis to fight. You will fight 3 and Protoman will fight 2... Marina x2 MarinaEX Zomon x2 Vacuumfan Shakey Eleogre WuNote All 5 of the Heel Navis will blow up and Scilab will be safe again. Both Protoman and Megaman will jack-out. Lan will tell Chaud about Gow and what happened. Chaud will say Scilab is unsafe and they need a new HQ. You get an e-mail afterwards from Maylu. She'll send you RollSP R! It gets powered up by holy panels. Go to Higsby's shop and talk to Higsby. Lan will ask him if he knows about a secret place. Higsbys will tell him if Lan does him a favor. He says Numberman lost some data in the End Area. Higsby wants you to find it. Head to the shrine in End Area 3. End Area 3 Check behind the shrine in End Area 3 to find the data. Jack-out and go back to Higsby. Higsby will say Open Sesame and a secret door will open up behind the Numberman cardboard cutout. Higsby has an office behind here which will be our new HQ. Chaud will appear behind the desk when the cutscene is over. An alarm then goes off. Apparently someone is trying to get into the Undernet. Head to End Area 5. Before doing so, check one of the PCs for an HP Memory. End Area 4 On the upper level is a program that will give you the Humor NCP. Also, near the entrance to End Area 5, is Searchman's 'battle data'. ---------------- Searchman.EXE V2 ---------------- HP: 1000 Element: None Movement: Moderately Fast Attacks: Search Grenade: Searchman will roll a grenade down the row he's in. Search Stealth: Searchman phases out of appearance, but he will still move around the field vulnerable to attack. He can't attack when he's invisible. If he's hit when he's invisible, he will be knocked out of it. Satellite Ray: Searchman only does this on low health. A cursor will appear and move around your side of the field. If it touches you, Searchman will summon a satellite and it will shoot a beam on the panel you are on. The beam hits in a '+' shape and cracks the center panel it hits. Strategy: Not much different than before. the only difference is that he uses Satellite Ray more often and that he has more HP. Head to End Area 5. End Area 5 You'll see a female navi trying to get into the Undernet. This is Meddy and she's Jasmine's navi. Then, Meddy moves away and Cloudman appears! He destroys the dark door and dashes straight for Meddy, but Protoman slashes him. Protoman talks with Meddy, but Cloudman appears again with sparks around him! He dashes for one final attack at Meddy, but Protoman puts up his Proto Sheild and gets in the way. There is a flash and Protoman and Cloudman are both gone. They assume Protoman got deleted. Chaud makes Lan leader since he doesn't have a navi. Head home and go to bed after this. Day 5 is over. --------------- 3o.Poltergeist! --------------- When you wake up, Jasmine will be outside. She says Meddy went to the Undernet(won't these fools learn...) and is now missing. We have to find her. Head to End Area 5. End Area 5 Head past where the dark door was, and head into the main part of Undernet 1. Undernet Area 1 Use Megaboy's maps if you have trouble navigating in the Undernet. The areas are a pain in the butt to navigate. Once you get to Undernet Area 1, a green navi will run by and bump into you. He'll say the Undernet is a dangerous place and that there are ghosts. There are ghosts flying around the Undernet. If they attach to you, they'll cause glitches in battles. They come off after a while, though. The capsules have effects depending on their color. Red: Nothing Orange: Confusion Purple: Blindness Chemical Flash: Meddy will create two pill drones on the field and the blue one will slowly move toward the red one. Destroy the blue one or else an explosion will hit you side of the field when they fuse. Healing Ball: Meddy rarely uses this attack on this version and only when her HP is low. Meddy will shoot a glowing ball down your row. If it touches you, time will freeze and some of your HP will be transfered to Meddy. Strategy: Watch out for the effects the capsules cause and the Healing Ball if she uses it. Other than that she's easy enough to handle. Once you beat Meddy, Gyroman will appear and so will your other team members. We have to liberate Undernet 4. There's a dark door blocking the way, though. Napalmman attacks the door, but fails to destroy it. Meddy says the door is made of hate and anger, so attacking it won't destroy it. She uses her Healing Pulse and the door vanishes! Mega makes Meddy a part of the team and tells Magnetman to stay behind for this mission. Go in once you're ready. ------------ 3p.Mission 6 ------------ Undernet Area 4 Meddy's out-of-battle ability is Twin Liberation. She can set up the panel ahead of her and the next one two panels away for liberation by another team member. The panels set up, glow green. The range is: x o x M x-panels set up o-panels not set up M-Meddy Not to useful, eh? Meddy's charged shot is a capsule bomb. It has no effect, though. She throws it 3 panels away and explodes horizontally. Her special chip is Meddy Capsule. It's the same as her charged shot, except it paralyzes. She can also save since you don't have Protoman. This game also brings back those blasted Dominerds! They take one damage from any attack when they're moving, and only take full damage when they come to the panel you're on and attack you. Well, remember when Cloudman supposedly "deleted" Protoman. Well, he wasn't deleted. He was kidnapped, and now he's Dark Protoman! His out-of-battle attack is Proto Sword. It only affects the panels around him, though. The Tinhawks, Bladias, and BigBrutes are all Tinhawk3s, Bladia3s, and BigBrute3s, respectively. You have 10 phases for this mission. ------------- Dark Protoman ------------- HP: 1000 Element: None Movement: Fast Attacks: Dark Step Sword: Dark Protoman, or a shadow, will go to the column in front of you(never on the same row) and use a Widesword. Double Dark Sword Slash: Dark Protoman only uses this on low HP. He will move really fast and go on a panel on your side the field and use a Dark Sword. Then he will go to another panel on your side of the field and do it again. It has the range of a Lifesword(2 columns ahead). Strategy: You have two columns again, which is NOT good. Especially since he's harder than before and attacks fast. The best time to attack him is after he uses his Fighter Sword, or after he uses Step Sword. Watch out for the Dark Swords he uses. The e-mail says you have to destroy the microservers to stop it. Everyone in town is evil! From the citizens, to your friends, to Nanako, and even Chaud! Head to the dock to trigger a cutscene where Fyrefox wants you to netbattle him. Strategy: Go and look at the strategy for his 'battle data'. He's the same as before. Once you defeat Fyrefox, he'll start to get angry, and moves toward you! Lan quickly jacks Megaman in to the machine to destroy the server before things get ugly. Head into Scilab to see the same thing! Everyone is evil! Jack-in to the terminal to find another server. Tesla and Magnetman will then appear and try to prevent you from destroying it... ---------------- Magnetman.EXE V2 ---------------- HP: 800 Element: Elec Movement: Moderately fast. Attacks: Magnet Panel: At the start of the battle he'll turn the corners of your side of the field(and his side)to magnet panels. Magnet panels push you off of them if you try to go on them. He also does this if his side is missing magnet panels. Magnetic Hole: Magnetman will put his hand out and a magnetic hole will appear under you. It holds you on your panel if it touches you. When it appears under your feet, move off the panel. Magnet Missile: Magnetman will make two magnets appear. It will go down the row its in and turn when it gets to your column. Works like the Ratton chips from BN3. Simply move off your column when it turns. He now shoots TWO of those damned missiles making them harder to avoid. Strategy: Do I have to explain this? Magnetman is about to be deleted, but Tesla jacks him out. Mega then destroys the server and Scilab is normal. Head to End City to find the same situation. Everyone is evil! Head to the roof of the castle and jack-in to the gargoyle. Head to Area 3. There's a BMD with RegUp2 there. Now, head to the area where you first fought Searchman. Gyroman and Charlie will appear and keep you from getting to the server. Strategy: I don't need to repeat myself, do I? Once the battle is over, Gyroman will bomb and destroy the server himself. Apparently Charlie and Gyroman weren't affected by the server. They just wanted to have one last battle with Lan. After that, Chaud will call Lan and tell him he knows where Protoman is. He says he's in Undernet 4. Head over the Undernet 4. Undernet Area 3 At the entrance to Area 4 is Meddy's 'battle data'. If it touches you, time will freeze and some of your HP will be transfered to Meddy. Strategy: Not much different from before. She just moves and bit faster and her attacks hurt more. Nothing to worry about. Head into Undernet 4. Undernet Area 4 Head to where you fought Dark Protoman to find a big server. It's making everywhere else in Electopia evil. Mega tries to destroy it, but fails. Dark Protoman then appears and destroys the server in a single slash! The real Protoman is apparenlty trying to get through the darkness, but he pushes Mega back. A pulse then appears from somewhere and is aimed at Protoman. It seems to have a bad effect on him. Apparently it's Meddy's healing pulse and then a new navi appears. That is Colonel(You should know who he is if you have the other version of this game.). He says Mega and himself has to act quick and destroy the darkness before it completely takes over Protoman. Meddy then puts her Healing Pulse to full power and a dark head appears over Protoman. That is the darkness. Colonel quickly slashes at it with his sword and then Mega attacks it with his buster. Then, there is a bright flash, and the darkness is gone! Protoman's darkness has been destroyed and you get the last soul! Proto Soul! The screen then shifts to the team's HQ. The team is having a meeting and Chaud is leader again. He also says he's found out where Nebula's HQ. It's at the top of the tallest mountain. Mt. Belunus. Chaud says the team will go there tomorrow and rescue Lan's Dad. When Lan gets home, his Mom tells him that she found one of Tadashi's notes. She gives it to Lan. After the cutscene, we get an e-mail about Proto Soul. The note gives a clue. Head to Scilab Area 3. Scilab Area 3 Head to the square at the very back of the area and press A at the topmost square to make a Vision Burst Door appear. Head in. Inside we see Tadashi and Wily(Yes, THE Dr.Wily.) making something called Soul Net. Once Tadashi leaves, Wily will fear about something. Then, he will leave. You will automatically be jacked-out. You can head back and search the place for a RegUp1. Head home and sleep. Day 6 is finally over... --------------------- 3r.Nebula HQ Takeover --------------------- Head to the park to find all of your teammates. Talk to Chaud. He says to get into the helicopter. After the cutscene is over, examine the ladder to head off! Mt. Belunus is actually a volcano. Lava and everything. It's aslo dark. Then, we see Nebula's HQ. A huge fortress with guns and everything. Chaud tells Charlie to scout the area. 10 minutes later, we hear no word from Charlie. Chaud tells Lan to find another entrance since the front door is locked. Head to the right and go around the building to find a small door. Head through to find your team. Chaud will then give you Delta Ray Edge Z. Chaud will go with Jasmine and you will go with the others. The board on the wall can be jacked-in to. It has an HP Memory and a warp leading to Undernet 3. Head through the right door and walk ahead to find a machine. It produces dark chips. Jack-in to it to find Dark Circle R. The 11th dark chip! Head right to find Tesla near an electro-barrier. It's blocking the way. We have to deactivate it. Lan and Tesla will automatically jack-in. Factory Comp 1 There are colored gates in this area. They have to be opened by pressing switches. You control Magnetman AND Megaman here. Press select to switch navis. There's also some dark purple stuff that drops down from the sky. If it hits you, you lose HP. In this area is also a new virus. Flashy. It moves slowly and speeds up until it eventually appears on the panel next to you and shoots sparks in a '+' shape. Higher versions shoot in a 'x' shape after. It's electric elemental. There's a red gate blocking the way ahead, so have Magnetman go right and follow the path until you get to a gun battery. Magnetman will put up his Magnet Barrier to block the shots, and then shoot a Magnet Missile to destroy the gun battery. Let Magnetman stand on the red button. The gate will unlock. Switch to Megaman, and go on the conveyor where the red gate was. Go left and follow the path while ignoring the arrow. Pass the blue gate and stand on the button. The blue gate will unlock. Switch to Magnetman and get off the button to make the red gate appear again. Head over the arrow, and pass the red gate. Go through where the blue gate was and head down. Ignore the arrow, and follow the path. Pass the red gate and go straight without turning to find a BMD with M-Cannon F. Go left and follow the path to the gun battery. Once Magnetman deals with it, stand on the red switch to open the red gate nearby. Now, have Megaman get off the blue switch and follow the path(ignoring the arrow) and head to conveyor. Follow it and go right. Pass the blue gate and step on the blue button. Have Magnetman go up and through where the blue gate was. Head left and pass where Megaman is. Pass the red gate near the conveyor and follow the path (ignore the arrow). Head up from the second intersection to find a gun battery. Past the intersections is a HP Memory. Stand on the red button when the gun battery is deleted. Use Megaman, and follow the path to the red gate. Behind the red gate, you'll find Blizzardman! They can be destroyed with buster shots. Blizzard Breath: Blizzy goes to his front column and blows snow two panels ahead of him. Any panels hit by this attack will be turned into ice. Strategy: Not much different from last time, he just moves and attacks a bit faster. His Blizzard Breath can also turn panels to ice. Use electric chips to take him out fast. Blizzardman is about to blow up, but a dark hole appears to take Blizzardman into the Dark Galaxy. Another one opens to take Megaman, but Magnetman appears and gets sucked in instead! Mega jacks-out. You can head back in the area to get the HP Memory. All the gates will be gone. Head through the area and go up to Level 2. Head through the door to find another electro-barrier. There's another jack-in port high up, but a Nebula goon is up there! He says your doomed. Then, Charlie appears and gets rid of the goon! He and Lan jack-in. Factory Comp Area 2 There are yellow gates here and you also control Gyroman, but he's on an upper level. Have Gyroman go right until he gets to a dark cloud. Gyroman will fly over the cloud, and bomb the dark chip creating it. Step on the yellow switch past where the cloud was. Switch to Megaman, and go over the conveyor. Go left and over the arrow. Then, pass the blue switch and get the BMD with a RegUp3. Send Megaman back to the blue switch. Switch to Gyroman, and head back to where you started. Then, head up and go left past the dark cloud to find the Oilbody NCP. Head to the dark cloud and let Gyroman bomb the dark chip. Press the yellow button. Have Megaman go back to the conveyors. Go up the conveyor and head right. Follow the winding path and ignore the stairs near the end to find a button. Step on it. Let Gyroman go through where the blue gate was near the yellow switch and go down to the lower level. Go up, and follow the same path Megaman followed. Head up the stairs at the end and Gyroman will get rid of the dark cloud. Go to the yellow switch. Let Megaman go over the arrow and pass the steps. Go left and then up. Go over the conveyors and you'll find Shademan. Like Blizzardman, he wants to fight you, but Gyroman comes and tries to fight him. A dark hole appears and takes Gyroman instead. Now, Shademan will fight you. --------------- Shademan.EXE V2 --------------- HP: 1000 Element: None Movement: Fast Attacks: Shade Bats: Shademan will put his wings out and release three bats. Shade Drain: Shademan only does this when his HP is low. Shademan will sink into the ground and appear on the panel in front of you to drain your HP. Usually does this after Noise Crush. Strategy: Not much difference from before. He just has more HP and his attacks hurt more. Shademan will mention that he will join Nebula Gray in the Dark Galaxy and explode. Mega will jack-out. Head through the area and go up to Level 3. You will see Fyrefox and Raika at another electro-barrier. They will all jack-in. Factory Comp Area 3 Here you have THREE navis instead of two. It'll be slightly harder than before, but it's no big deal. In this area is another new virus. Appley. When it's in its shell, it's invulnerable to ALL attacks except fire attacks(Not even Guardian or Drillarm can pierce the shell). When it comes out of it's shell, it will spit seeds three panels away from it. If the seeds hit you, you will take damage. The seeds turn any panels they hit into grass. If an Appley is deleted, it will turn itself into a glowing apple and restore the HP of one of the other viruses in the battle. Appleys are wood elemental. Use Napalmman, and head to the door with the X on it. Napalmman will blast the door and destroy it. Head right and destroy the next X door. Step on the purple button. Switch to Searchman and go through where the purple gate was. Searchman will unlock the electric gate ahead. Head over the conveyor and go left to another electric gate. Head down the path, and go over the arrow. Unlock the electric gate(The BMD nearby is a HP Memory. Which Searchman can't get) and go on the green switch. Use Megaman and go over the conveyor. Then, head right and go up the third intersection. Head over the arrow and then go right. Stand on the blue switch at the end. Have Napalmman go through where the blue gate used to be and head left. Head over the conveyor(where the green gate was blocking) and follow the path. At a dead-end is a BMD with Redwave A. Head up near the dead-end to find a X door. Stand on the purple button behind where the X door was. Switch to Megaman and go back to where the conveyor was. Head up from there and go up the conveyor. Head left and over the conveyor. Go left, and around to the blue switch. Have Searchman go through where the blue gate was, and follow the path to an electric gate. Step on the green switch behind where the gate was. Have Napalmman go through where the blue gate nearby was, and stay right to find a X door. Stand on the pruple button after Napalmman blasts the door. Let Megaman go through where the green gate was. Head over the conveyor and up to find Cloudman. He says Nebula gray is a star in the Dark Galaxy. --------------- Cloudman.EXE V2 --------------- HP: 900 Element: Elec Movement: Slow Attacks: Thunderball: There are clouds on Cloudman's side of the field. Strategy: As highly annoying as ever, Cloudman is back... He's not any different from before. By now, you should have a better variety of wood chips, such as Woodnose and Lance. Watch out for his attacks and you should be fine. Cloudman will blow up and two dark holes appear to take Napalmman and Searchman. Mega will jack-out after. You can head back for the HP Memory Searchman couldn't get. Head through and go up the Level 4. Head inside the door and you'll find an electro-barrier. Two other jack-in ports are unoccupied, but then Jasmine and Chaud appear at the jack-in ports. They all jack-in. Factory Comp Area 4 The last area of this craziness. Change to Protoman and have him go straight ahead. Ignore the arrow and go left into the dead-end to find Recovery200 I. Head down the main path and go left to find a dark gate. Protoman will slash at the door and destroy it. Step on the red button. Have Meddy stay right and go to the pink button. Use Protoman to go back where he started and go over the arrow pointing left. Follow the path and step on the red button. Use Meddy to go over the conveyor and to the dark door. She will use her Healing Pulse to make the door disappear. Stand on the pink button. Have Megaman go over the two conveyors and stop at the pink and red gates. Have Protoman go over the conveyor and head to the slope near where he started. Use it to go to the side where Meddy is. Head to the dark gate near where the SubMemory was. Step on the red button behind where the gate was. Let Meddy use the slope near where she started from to go to the other side. Head up the the dark door. Step on the pink button when Meddy takes care of the door. Megaman should go across the next conveyor and step on the blue button. Make Protoman go left of the red button and go up when he gets to the blue button. Go left from the red and pink gates to the dark door. Step on the red button. Now, use Meddy to head right from the pink button and go up at the blue button. Go right from the pink gate to the dark door. Step on the pink button afterwards. Send Megaman straight ahead to meet with Cosmoman. A dark hole will appear to take Meddy, but Protoman slashes at Cosmoman. Cosmoman steps back and the attack misses. A dark hole then appears to take Protoman. Meddy and Protoman are both taken by dark holes. --------------- Cosmoman.EXE V2 --------------- HP: 1200 Element: None Movement: Moderately Slow Attacks: Cosmo Ring: Cosmoman throws a ring into the air. The ring has less than 10 HP. The planets themselves can't be destroyed. Cosmo Sheild: Cosmoman will sometimes make a sheild appear to block your attack. He usually follows this up with a Cosmo Meteor. Cosmo Meteor: Cosmoman will make a hole appear and a meteor will come down from the hole and hit in a '+' shape. Flashing panels show where the meteor will land. It comes quickly, too. Cosmo Prison: Cosmoman will turn black(with stars on his body) and become invulnerable to attack. Then, he will send multiple asteroids down all your rows. This attack is almost IMPOSSIBLE to avoid without an Invisible chip. He only uses this on low HP. Strategy: Cosmoman is as annoying as ever, and he puts up a sheild to annoy you even more. Thankfully, he doesn't put it up often. His Cosmo Buster is something to watch out for. The rings on the planets also have 8 HP now. The Cosmo Prison is more painful than it was before, so watch out. Cosmoman is still slow, which means he can be hit easily. When Cosmoman blows up, he mentions Nebula Gray is almost complete. We then cut to Regal and Lan's Dad. Lan's Dad regrets not deleting the Hikari Report. Soulnet is also finished. Head forward to arrive in Regal's office. Regal is not there. Jack-in to the middle storage case to find a navi on the ground. Talk to him to find out that Roll, Glyde, and Gutsman are in the Dark Galaxy and that Regal went into a secret area. He says it has a hidden switch. Inside here is a PMD with Mudwave D. Jack-out and check the right case to find a switch. A door will open to the right of Regal's desk. The team will come and the area will start shaking. Check the left case to find Maylu, Dex and Yai's PETs. Before you go through that door SAVE. This is your last chance to do so. You should also install the Airshoes NCP before you go. It helps a LOT later. ------------------- 3s.The Final Battle ------------------- Lan heads to his Dad who is tied up. Lan's Dad says to stop Regal. Regal then says stuff about Nebula Gray and that he's going to install it into SoulNet. Your team then shows up and says they'll watch Lan's Dad. Regal then activates SoulNet and a green grid appears. It's affecting everyone except Lan. Regal then asks Lan if he has on MagnoMetal. It turns out the charm that his Mom gave him is made out of MagnoMetal and is preventing Lan from being affected by SoulNet. Regal doesn't care since he doesn't think Lan will stop him anyway. Nebula Gray is then installed inside SoulNet and we have to delete it! Lan jacks in to the server. Head through this final area and you'll trigger a cutscene. Four gray flames surround Mega. Blizzardman appears on a platform. As well as Shademan on another platform. He mentions that the DarkLoids have come back three times (5 times for you vampireboy...). The screen then shifts to Cloudman on another platform and then to Cosmoman on yet, another platform. They sall say Mega is going to burn up in the dark flames. Just then something yells "Delta Ray!". Protoman and Magnetman appear right next to Cosmoman. Gyroman and Napalmman go to Cloudman. Meddy and Searchman take care of Shademan. Blizzardman has no one next to him, until something yells "GutsPunch!. Roll, Gutsman, and Glyde appear right next to Blizzardman. The dark flames go away. Follow the path to the big square and a cutscene will take place. A blue flame floats around. This is Nebula Gray. Regal says that Nebula Gray is compromised of the darkness of real people. Gray flames appear and all of them join with the blue flame to create a huge body with a black hole and the blue flame swirling around it. ----------- Nebula Gray ----------- HP: 2000 Element: None Movement: Stationary Attacks: Jumping Flames: A hole will appear on the panel next and a worm made of dark flames will come out of it. Similar to the DeathPheonix chip. The worms jump left or right depending if they are in front of you, or behind you. They only jump to the panel next to them. Move up or down to avoid. Evil Fire: Nebula Gray will shoot a gray fire onto a panel and the fire will follow you around for a few seconds. Can't go over holes. Can go backwards. Nebula Dragon: Nebula Gray will turn into a dragon-like creature and dash at the panel your on. When it hits the panel an explosion will occur on all the panels around the one the dragon hit. Cracks all panels hit. Dark Chip Usage: Nebula gray will make a dark chip appear which will turn into Dark Megaman. He will use one of the dark chip attacks listed below: Dark Thunder: Dark Megaman will shoot a purple thunderball which moves slightly faster than a regular thunderball and homes in. Stuns if hit. Elec elemental. Dark Meteor: Dark Megaman will make homing meteors attack you. In other words, the panel flashes follow you. Fire elemental. They don't crack panels Dark Lance: Dark Megaman will make bamboo lances hit your back column. Wood elemental. Dark Sword: Dark Megaman will use a purple word that has Lifesword range. The panels will flash before he swings it. Draining Hands: Nebula Gray will disappear and hands will dash at random panels. If you get hit, Nebula Gray will drain your HP. Only uses this on low HP. Strategy: Remember when I said to install the Airshoes NCP. This is why. Nebula Gray will constantly crack panels on you. The only part of him that can be damaged is the blue flame that rotates around its body. Nebula Gray floats over nothing, so ground chips won't work. His front column can't be stolen, so short-ranged attacks won't work. Drillarms are very useful since the blue flame doesn't get pushed back by the drill. The flame could get hit up the five times! Bubblewrap is also very useful here. It's like being invincible! It creates a bubble that takes only 1 HP of damage and regenerates after a few seconds. You would have to watch out for the Dark Thunder. Since its electric elemental, it can go through the bubble and damage you. It would also keep the bubble from regenerating again. Nebula Gray's dragon form can also go through the bubble and hurt you( Only if hit directly by the dragon, not by the explosion.), but the bubble would come back. Use powerful chips and P.A.s to end the battle before things get nasty. Don't forget to bring recovery chips! ------------- 3t.The Ending ------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------- SPOILERS!!!!! SKIP THIS SECTION IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE SPOILED!!! ------------------------------------------------------------------- The body of Nebula Gray explodes, but the blue flame is still there! Regal calls to the dark power, so it can destroy Mega. Gray flames start to surround Mega and he's in pain. Lan takes off the charm so he can help Mega using SoulNet. He calls out to Hub. Then, Tadashi's voice says Lan doesn't need SoulNet to be with Hub. Mega then vanishes and the REAL Hub appears! Regal gets mad and calls out more dark flames. Hub doesn't seem to be affected and traps the blue flame in a sphere. Hub then disappears and Mega reappears. Just then, the blue flame gets through the sphere and flares up! It dashes at Mega and Lan calls out to him. There's a bright flash and...Colonel appears and blocks the flame! He says for Mega to finish off Nebula Gray, but he's too exhausted. Then, as if on cue, our team navis and the navis of Lan's friends give some of their energy to Mega. Mega is filled with power. Colonel moves out of the way and Mega finishes of Nebula Gray with his Mega Buster. Nebula Gray has been deleted and the server crashes. Mega jacks-out. A man then goes up to Lan. This is Baryl. He is Colonel's operator. He's the leader of the Netopian Network Corps. He was sent to delete Nebula Gray, but sees that Lan has already done it. The mountain then starts to shake and Baryl says that the volcano is going to explode! Baryl leads everyone out as Regal and Lan's Dad stays behind. Lan's Dad explains things to Regal. Lan's Dad then collapses as Regal thinks to himself about something. The screen then goes black. 3 days after the incident at Nebula HQ, the dark chip factory was taken by the volcano when it erupted. Someone apparently found Lan's Dad and brought him to a hospital. He's done recovering and then we cut to the room behind the Main System Room. The team, Chaud, and Lan's Dad is here. Lan's Dad wants to introduce someone. It's Regal. It seems he somehow lost his memory(Play the Team Colonel version to find out how.) and he now works at Scilab. Anyway, Chaud officially disbands the team. Dex then comes in once the team is gone and wants to netbattle Lan. Lan then says: Jack-in! Megaman.EXE, Execute!". The credits then roll... As soon as the credits are done, we cut to the ACDC Town Vision Burst with Mega, Roll, Gutsman, and Glyde. They start to head out, but hears someone trying to come in. It's Gow! Gow barks and Mega falls. Gutsman says that must be his weak point and Gow barks at Gutsman and he falls, too! Lan's Dad says its time for Lan and Mega to go home. He then talks in his head about the next generation. Everyone jacks-out and the title screen appears. ----------------- END SPOILERS!!!!! ----------------- ------------------- 3u. The Nebula Area ------------------- So, you think you've beaten the game, huh? There's other stuff to do, like go to the Nebula Area. You can now fight Larkman and Gridman V3 as well. First, though, we need to get the last dark chip. Head to the captain area of Queen Bohemia to find a boy who will give you Northwind * for SloGauge *. You can find SloGauge * from the in-battle GMDs in the End Area. Once you trade him, jack-in to the wine case in the party room on the ship to find a navi who will give you GrabRevenge F for Northwind *. After trading him, go to Oran and across the bridge to find a man that will give VDoll T for GrabRevenge F. Next, head to the Squirrel at ACDC Town and jack-in. Go to Area 6 to find a navi that will give you Antidamage * for VDoll T. Finally, go to Gargoyle Castle in End City and a lady in the first room will give you Dark Invisible I for Antidamage *! You'll get the last dark chip! Now, to get into the Nebula Area, we have to go to the other part of Undernet 2 from the western part of Undernet 3. Use a map to find your way to the other part of Undernet 2. Undernet Area 2 There is a golden program that will open the way to the Nebula Area. He can only open it if you have beaten the game once and have 100 standard chips. There is a Liberation Mission up ahead. By the way, if you let the program open the hole, the viruses will become V2. Get ready for the mission. Nebula Area 1 Mega will say the area is too big to liberate on his own, but then some of his teammates appear to help him. For this mission you will be up against Shademan V3. The Tinhawks, BigBrutes, and Bladias are Tinhawk4s, BigBrute4s, and Bladia4s, so watch out. You won't have Meddy and Gyroman for this mission either. You have 12 phases for this mission. --------------- Shademan.EXE V3 --------------- HP: 1200 Element: None Movement: Fast Attacks: Shade Bats: Shademan will put his wings out and release three bats. Go around and go over the second arrow and then go into the warp. Go over the conveyor and go into the next warp. Go left to find a BMD with Recovery300 Y. Go back into the warp and go over the next conveyor and go into the warp there. Follow the path and stay to the right to find a HP Memory. Go left to find another warp. Go into the warp and then head left to find a PMD with Geddon3 A. Go back to the warp and head up and then right to a warp. Head through to find a Netdealer. Go back to the warp and go into it. Head down and then left past the warp to get to another warp. Head through that one and go left to find a gate. You need 140 standard chips to unlock it. If you have 140 standard chips, unlock the gate and prepare. We have another Liberation Mission ahead. Nebula Area 3 All the minibosses are now V5 and we also don't have Protoman and Magnetman for this mission. The boss here is Cloudman V3. Nebula Area 4 Go right from the conveyor and follow the path to see a gate. You need to defeat the 5 guard navis to open it. The navis are found at: Crane Comp in Oran Area 2. Undernet 2 under a ramp. Server Comp in Scilab Area 4. End Area 4 on an isolated platform. Get there by going through the warp on the upper level of the area. Undernet 1, where Larkman is. Behind the gate is GrabRevenge N. Head on the path to the left of the gate and go up and around the conveyor to the other side. Follow the path to find a gate blocking the main path requiring 40 mega chips. Once you have 40 mega chips, head through and you'll see a gate that needs you to be at 900 HP (without using NCP programs) to open. It has Z-Saber Z. Follow the path to the right of the gate to find another gate blocking the main path which requires all 180 standard chips. Go through the gate once you have all standard chips and go up the slope to find a gate blocking the way to the upper level. It needs all 30 P.A.s. The BMD behind it has Double Point *. Past the BMD is another gate which requires 60 mega chips. It has the giga chip Holydream H! Back on the lower level past the slope is a gate which needs 12 darkchips. Behind it is Django DS D. Go to the path left of the slope and across the conveyor to find the entrance to Area 5. The last Liberation Mission is up ahead and it's not easy... Nebula Area 5 First off, all minibosses are at their final versions, V6. You have TWO bosses to deal with here instead of one. Blizzardman AND Cosmoman V3. When he gets to the end of the field, snow drifts will fall from the sky, blocking your path. They can be destroyed with buster shots. Blizzard Breath: Blizzy goes to his front column and blows snow two panels ahead of him. Any panels hit by this attack will be turned into ice. Strategy: Blizzardman moves and attacks faster than before, but electric chips still work wonders on him. Go back to the upper level and you'll see 6 gates. They can only be unlocked when you s-rank the SP versions of all your team navis. Behind them are blue flames which are DS Navis. The order from left to right is: Protoman, Magnetman, Gyroman, Napalmman, Searchman, and Meddy. Once you defeat them, you can open the dark door in the center of the area. Before going through the dark door, install the Airshoes NCP. Go behind it to trigger a cutscene. A huge monster that looks like Nebula Gray will come out of the hole at the end of the area and move toward you. He says he is Lord Chaos and he wants to fight. -------------- Nebula Gray V2 -------------- HP: 2500 Element: None Movement: Stationary Attacks: Jumping Flames: A hole will appear on the panel next and a worm made of dark flames will come out of it. Strategy: His attacks now hurt more than they did before, but he's still like last time. Airshoes help a lot here. Bubblewrap does, too. Just watch out for his attacks and you should be fine. After you beat Lord Chaos, he will retreat back to the hole and the mysterious voice from before will talk again. It will say to continue fighting evil and drop a chip down. The chip is BigHook G(a giga chip). You jack-out and come back to fight the DS Navis again. If you beat them with a total time of under 2 minutes, you fight Lord Chaos in the form of Megaman DS. If you beat with between 2 to 3 minutes, you get to fight Lord Chaos as Bass. If you beat them above 3 minutes, you fight Lord Chaos as Nebula Gray V3. Always, install Airshoes before going through the dark door, they don't tell the time you beat the DS Navis in. If you manage to get Bass, read below. -------- Bass.EXE -------- HP: 2000 Movement: Fast Attacks: Shooting Buster: Bass will stop moving and put out his dual buster. He will then make explosions on random panels of your side. This is very hard to avoid. A hit panel will light up shortly before an explosion hits it. Dark Arm Blade: Bass will move up to you and slash at Longsword range. Sometimes he will slash three times in a row. He slashes at Longsword range, Widesword range, and then Longsword range again. Always move when Bass appears in fron of you to raise your chance of not getting hit by this. Hell's Rolling: Bass will go to the back column while on the middle row and make two wheels appear on the rows above and below him. The can turn diagonally depending on where you are. Works like Gyro Attack, except it can't move vertically. Darkness Overload: Bass doesn't use the very often. bass will go to your front column on the middle row and shoot a blast of dark energy at the middle and back column. He shoots the orb a two seconds after the panel flashes, so move quick! Darkness Explosion: Bass will go into the air and form an orb of dark energy. He will then shoot it at the panel you're on. It hits the panel it lands on and all the panels around it. Strategy: Bass is as quick and annoying as ever. He has no aura, but he makes up for it by having some painful attacks. Shooting Buster is as annoying as it ever was, not to mention Darkness Explosion is quick and hard to avoid. Hell's Rolling and Darkness Overload isn't much of a problem, though. Dark Arm Blade is quick so watch out for that. Airshoes and Bubblewrap helps a lot here. Bass is slightly easy to counter, so you can get some good hits on him. P.A.s help a lot here, too. Avoid his attacks and watch your HP. Use Recovery chips if your HP gets too low. If you beat Bass, you get Bass F. You can jack-out and come back to fight Bass SP as a random appearance in Nebula Area 6 to get the Bass Icon. Before Battle Network 4, there were four elements: Fire, Aqua, Elec, and Wood. Each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Each one beats the other. For instance, If you use a fire attack on a wood elemental enemy, the enemy would take double damage Fire burns Wood. Aqua extinguishes Fire. Elec conducts Aqua. Wood is a bad conductor of Elec. Now, there are eight other elements added(because of the souls) which have no weakness. The twelve elements all have symbols and do their own unique ability. Fire(has a red fire as a symbol)-Uses a fire attack. Aqua(has three blue water droplets as a symbol)-Uses a water attack. Elec(has a yellow lightning bolt as a symbol)-Uses an electric attack. Wood(has a green leaf as a symbol)-Uses a plant attack. Wind(has a white puff of wind as a symbol)-Uses a wind attack. Sword(has a blue sword as a symbol)-Uses a sword or blade attack. Cursor(has a brown cursor as a symbol)-Uses an cursor attack that locks-on to an enemy. Can get rid of Invisible. Recovery(has three pink hearts as a symbol)-Doesn't really attack an enemy. They just recover your HP. Break(has a gray metal ball as a symbol)-Uses a piercing attack that breaks through guards, and destroys obstacles. Obstacle(has a brown block as a symbol)-Puts an obstacle on the panel in front of you. Can block attacks or have an effect. Stealth(has a blue outline of a person as a symbol)-Doesn't really do damage. This element just hides you from attacks. Bonus Point(has a green '+/-' as a symbol)-Doesn't really do any damage either. This element just powers up other chips. 5.PMD Locations -------------------- Before I get into this section: GMD-Green Mystery Data BMD-Blue Mystery Data PMD-Purple Mystery Data GMDs are appear everytime you jack-out. Their contents are different. BMDs are found in specific areas and only appear once. PMDs appear only once like BMDs, but can only be opened by the Unlocker subchip. With the exception of Gridman and Larkman. Their SP is a random appearance in Oran Area 2 and Undernet Area 2, respectively. They only appear after you fight their V3 forms by talking to Mr.Famous/Larkman. The V3 navis give a DS navi chip when s-ranked. The V3 navis are in certain spots in an area. The V3 forms of your teammates appear after you beat their 'battle data'. Protoman's V3 appears after you beat Mission 6. Finally, the V3 forms of the Nebula navis appear after you beat their V2 at Nebula Base. Fusion with the navi can grant Megaman different abilities such as a new charged shot, chip charging, or even another element! Soul Unisons only last for three turns, but that time can be raised with oul Time +1 NCPs. --------------- 8a.Soul Unisons --------------- Magnet Soul To activate Magnet Soul, an electric elemental chip must be sacrificed. Element-Elec(Magnet Soul takes double damage from wood attacks.) Charged Shot-MagBolt. Pulls any enemies in Megaman's row towards him. Any enemies that touch the magnet take damage and get stunned. Magnet Freeze-If there is an enemy of Megaman's row, you can press Left+B to hold them for a few seconds. Magnet Shoes-Allows Megaman to stand on magnet panels with being pushed off. Electric Charge-Megaman can hold A to charge any electric chips for double damage. Gyro Soul To activate Gyro Soul, a wind elemental chip must be sacrificed. Element-None Charged Shot-Tornado Arm. Megaman shoots a twister that goes 3 panels long. Depending on how far away the enemy is, the Tornado Arm can hit more than once. 1 panel away is 1 hit, 2 panels away is 2 hits, 3 panels away is 3 hits. Omni Shoes-Megaman can step over cracked panels without breaking them, he is unaffected by all panel effects, and he can stand over broken panels. Propeller Boost-If Megaman uses a wind chip, the propeller on Gyro Soul's back will spin. Any normal or damaging wind chips used when the propellers are spinning will do double damage. Napalm Soul To activate Napalm Soul, a fire elemental chip must be sacrificed. Element-Fire(Napalm Soul takes double damage from aqua chips.) Charged Shot-Fire Vulcan. Megaman will shoot 3 fire elemental vulcan shots. They go down the row and hit the panel behind an enemy hit by the vulcan. Fire Plus-Any uncharged fire chips will do 40 more damage with Napalm Soul. Napalm Shoes-If Megaman stands over a lava panel with a chip uploaded, the lava panel will disappear and the first uploaded chip will get 10 damage added to its attack power. If there are no chips uploaded, the lava panel won't disappear. Napalm-Charging fire chips will make them do double damage, but Napalm Soul will fire them in the form a Napalm. Works like Napalmman's navi chip. Search Soul To activate Search Soul, sacrifice a cursor chip. Charged Shot-Scope Gun. Megaman targets the closest enemy and shoots them a few times. Can remove any Stealth chips the enemy is using. Stealth Search-When Search Soul is activated, all enemies using a Stealth chip will have it disabled. Search Shuffle-Search Soul can shuffle your chips. It can only be done 3 times per turn. Meddy Soul To activate Meddy Soul, sacrifice a recovery elemental chip(Chips with three pink hearts as a symbol.). Charged Shot-Meddy Capsule. Megaman throw a capsule three panels ahead verically. The panel above and below the capsule will also be hit. Has no effect. Capsule Fusion-Meddy Soul can fuse chips with capsules to give the chips the same abilities as the capsules. Orange: Confusion Purple: HP drain(netbattles only) White: Paralysis Black: Blindness Pink: HP recovery Proto Soul To activate Proto Soul, sacrifice a sword elemental chip. Charged Shot-WideSword. A WideSword is used on the column ahead of Megaman. Proto Sheild-Pressing Left+B when you're about to be attacked puts up the Proto Sheild. It reflects back 50 damage down the row it is on when hit. Step Sword-Charging up sword chips will allow Megaman to do Step Sword. Megaman will teleport two panels away and use the sword. The sword does double damage. ---------------- 8b.Chaos Unisons ---------------- Chaos Unisons are only available after Mission 4. Chaos Unisons are a fusion of Megaman, a navi, and Megaman's darksoul. Chaos Unisons have the same effect as a soul. Everything is the same, except for the charged shot. The charged shot is a dark chip. The charged shot is different depending on which Chaos Unison is used. The charged shot he two stages: green and purple. When it's green(before it turn purple), Megaman will just fire a buster shot. If it's purple, the dark chip will be used. If it's green(after it flashes purple), you will be knocked out of the Chaos Unison and MegamanDS will appear. He will attack you with various chips. He goes away after a couple of seconds, or when the viruses or navi in battle is deleted. Chaos Unisons only last one turn. That can't be changed even if you have Soul Time +1 NCPs in your Navi Customizer. Chaos Unisons are a way to use dark chips without losing HP and getting dark. It's also like an unlimited use of a dark chip. Chaos Magnet To use Chaos Magnet, DarkThunder must be sacrificed. Charged Shot-Dark Thunder. Megaman shoots a purple and fast moving Thunderball. It stuns any enemy that touches it. Chaos Gyro To use Chaos Gyro, DarkTornado must be sacrificed. Charged Shot-Dark Tornado. Megaman shoots a powerful tornado two panels ahead of him. Depending on how many times Megaman was hit, the tornado could spread. 1 hit: xxxxxx xMttxx xxxxxx 2 hits: xxxtxx xMttxx xxxtxx x-empty panel M-Megaman t-DarkTornado Chaos Napalm To use Chaos Napalm, sacrifice DarkMeteor. Charged Shot-Dark Meteor. Megaman will make meteors drop down from the sky while the flashing panels will home in to the enemy. Chaos Search To activate Chaos Search, sacrifice Dark Circle. Charged Shot-Dark Circle. Time will freeze and a cursor will circle around the enemy's side of the field. If the cursor is stopped, five more cursors will appear on the panels ahead in the path. All the panels with cursors will then be shot once. Chaos Meddy To activate Chaos Meddy, sacrifice Dark Recovery. Charged Shot-Dark Recovery. All it does is recover 1000 HP... Chaos Proto To activate Chaos Proto, Dark Sword has to be sacrificed. Charged Shot-Dark Sword. Megaman will use a sword which has the range of Lifesword. 9.Shops -------------------- In this game are shops where you can buy chips, subchips and NCPs.
