This game has a great amount of long-term value as it offers over 20 different vehicles, as well as 20 different levels! Each vehicle includes upgrades purchased by coins you earn. This game becomes addicting really quick when you realize you can beat your last score! Don't expect any competition in this game though, as it does not offer any mutliplayer or high scores option. Have fun spending hours and hours into this game, and I hope this document will help you succeed in your races! Good luck! How to Play When you first open the game you are opted to select your vehicle. The first vehicle you receive is the Jeep which is free. You select the 'next' button which will advance you to select your stage. You will receive the stage Countryside which is free at the start. After you have selected this stage, you will be prompted to the vehicle upgrades screen. This is where you can spend coins upgrading individual vehicle attributes. Choose wisely, as you cannot undo these later. Once you press Start you are dropped onto your level. Press the gas to accelerate, and the break to stop or slow down. Simply tap or hold the break to do a flip in the air (faster tap means quicker flip). While tapping or holding the gas will cause you to do a back flip. Back flips are easier, and will rotate quicker than a normal flip. Your game will end when you either; Run out of gas, Kill your player by striking them physically against something, as well as damaging your vehicle by overheating it (Train). Controls Left Pedal - Brake Right Pedal - Gas Flip - Tap brake in mid-air Back Flip - Tap gas in mid-air Descend from mid-air - Hold brake and feather gas Neck flip - Flip / Back Flip while crashing character himself Vehicles & Upgrades There are currently 20 different vehicles you can use in Hill Climb Racing. Most of them have attributes that make them different from other vehicles. On the other hand some handle and function the same, but are just different vehicles. Here is a comprehensive list of all the vehicles offered, as well as the four upgradable options for each. Upgrades help the car in different aspects. The following is all the possible upgrades in the game. Note: Only four upgrades are on each car, they cannot be changed. Upgrades Engine - Upgrading engine parts results in an increase in power. Higher horsepower helps you climb hills and make longer jumps or tricks for higher bonuses. Suspension - Having a lower weight point while improving shock absoprtion helps your stability while traveling at high speeds. This also makes the vehicle more stable on bumps. Tires - This helps with traction and better power delivery to the ground. Fuel - This helps make the fuel tank size larger, which will help the vehicle drive further. Battery - This improves your energy effeciency and allows the vehicle to drive further just like fuel does. Stability - Keeps vehicle from rolling / tipping backwards on steep hills. Friction - This will improve the material that is used for your cushion. It reduces friction and helps with obtaining a higher top speed. Aerodynamics - This helps reduce air resistance which will help assist in a higher top speed. Downforce - This pushes your car down at higher speeds which helps traction. 4 Wheel Drive (4WD) - Increasing this will improve your traction and handling of the vehicling. Mid-Air Control - This will improve your rotation while in mid-air. Tracks - Upgrading this will help your vehicle remain stable and not tip during high speeds. Vehicles Jeep - Free - This is a very basic vehicle and there is nothing special about it. The four upgrades available for this vehicle are; Engine (15/15), Suspension (15/15), Tires (20/20), Fuel (25/25) Motocross Bike - 100,000 Coins to unlock. This vehicle is slow even when fully upgraded. The character on the top makes this vehicle difficult in caves. The four upgrades available for this vehicle are; Engine (15/15), Suspension (15/15), Tires (20/20), Fuel (25/25) Monster Truck - 100,000 Coins to unlock. This vehicle is relatively quick for it's size. It tips easily without the full upgrades. Once upgraded it works very well on the 'Moon'' level. The four upgrades available for this vehicle are; Engine (12/12), Suspension (14/14), Tires (16/16), Mid-Air Control (10/10) Tractor - 150,000 Coins to unlock. This vehicle is slow and tips extremly easy. It will tip on quick acceleration and on steep hills. The four upgrades available for this vehicle are; Engine (16/16), Tires (15/15), Fuel (20/20), Stability (15/15) Onewheeler - 150,000 Coins to unlock. This vehicle is slow and doesn not get much height on hills. Although it seems light, due to it being electric it does not accelerate quickly. The four upgrades available for this vehicle are; Engine (16/16), Suspension (14/14), Tires (25/25), Battery (20/20) Quad Bike - 175,000 Coins to unlock. This vehicle is quick and very light. It will rotate easily. However it tips during quick acceleration. The four upgrades available for this vehicle are; Engine (12/12), Suspension (14/14), Tires (16/16), 4WD (10/10) Tourist Bus - 250,000 Coins to unlock. This vehicle is very large and very slow. It will get stuck between bumps and hills very easily. The four upgrades available for this vehicle are; Engine (15/15), Suspension (15/15), Tires (20/20), Fuel (25/25) Race Car - 350,000 Coins to unlock. Fully upgraded, this car is one of the fastest cars in the game. The wing can force this car to tip on the back during high speeds and quick acceleration. The four upgrades available for this vehicle are; Engine (12/12), Suspension (14/14), Tires (16/16), Downforce (10/10) Police Car - 400,000 Coins to unlock. This is not as fast as it should be, and it is just a basic car. The four upgrades available for this vehicle are; Engine (15/15), Suspension (15/15), Tires (25/25), Fuel (20/20) Ambulance - 400,000 Coins to unlock. This vehicle is slow but very stable. It is also very long and may get stuck in the dips between some hills. You cannot turn the lights on or off. Super Diesel 4x4 - 500,000 Coins to unlock. This truck starts off slow, but is relatively quick for it's size. Due to it's size it remains fairly stable on bumps and can still get up hills at a decent pace. The four upgrades available for this vehicle are; Engine (15/15), Suspension (15/15), Tires (20/20), Fuel (20/20) Rally Car - 750,000 Coins to unlock. This is one of the fastest cars in the game. Fully upgraded it has incredible traction and works very well on smooth stages. The four upgrades available for this vehicle are; Engine (13/13), Suspension (14/14), Tires (17/17), Downforce (10/1o) Dragster - 800,000 Coins to unlock. This vehicle is very quick. However it has a very large backend and will tip when accelerated quickly. Tank - 1,000,000 Coins to unlock. This vehicle is one of the slowest in the game. It is absolutely the heaviest and it will tip over due to the angle of the tracks. However, its weight assists in levels where there are caves because it will not get much height during hills or jumps. The four upgrades available for this vehicle are; Engine (16/16), Suspension (15/15), Tracks (20/20), Fuel (20/20) Snow Mobile - 1,000,000 Coins to unlock. This vehicle is slow and requires full upgrages before it becoms worth using. The four upgrades available for this vehicle are; Engine (15/15), Suspension (15/15), Tires (20/20), Fuel (25/25) Truck - 1,000,000 Coins to unlock. This Semi is long and very slow. It is heavy and works best on the Mountain stage. The four upgrades available for this vehicle are; Engine (15/15), Suspension (15/15), Tires (20/20), Fuel (25/25) Dune Buggy - 1,000,000 Coins to unlock. This vehicle is quick, but also very light. Due to it's light nature it will tip easily when speeding up, but will also rotate quickly for tricks. The four upgrades available for this vehicle are; Engine (16/16), Suspension (15/15), Tires (25/25), Fuel (20/20) Hovercraft - 1,000,000 Coins to unlock. This vehicle works best on stages with water, however it can be used on land. It is very slow. The four upgrades available for this vehicle are; Engine (14/14), Friction (16/16), Stability (20/20), Aerodynamics (20/20) Big Finger - 1,200,000 Coins to unlock, This vehicle is a Sand Buggy and Monster Truck Mix. It is very tall with large tires. The base color of the vehicle is red. Kiddie Express - 1,200,000 Coins to unlock. This is a train that is three cars long. It can be played on any level although it works best on the Roller coaster. If you go too fast by holding down the pedal too long it will over-heat and burn your conductor, thus stopping you. Be sure to keep an eye on the temperature gage that appears on the top when it starts getting too hot. This is more a novelty vehicle, I do not recommend using it. The four upgrades available for this vehicle are; Engine (16/16), Suspension (14/14), Tires (25/25), Fuel (25/25) Stages There are 20 stages total in this game. Each time a new vehicle is released, a new stage is released with it. Below is a list of each level and how much is required to unlock them. Countryside - Free Xmas - 100,000 Coins to unlock. Desert - 100,000 Coins to unlock. Arctic - 250,000 Coins to unlock. Highway - 250,000 Coins to unlock. Cave - 250,000 Coins to unlock. Moon - 500,000 Coins to unlock. Mars - 500,000 Coins to unlock. Alien Planet - 750,000 Coins to unlock. Arctic Cave - 800,000 Coins to unlock. Forest - 800,000 Coins to unlock. Mountain - 1,000,000 Coins to unlock. Mudpool - 1,000,000 Coins to unlock. Volcano - 1,000 Coins to unlock. Beach - 1,000,000 Coins to unlock Roller Coaster - 1,000,000 Coins to unlock. Night - 1,200,000 Coins to unlock. Rooftops - 1,200,000 Coins to unlock. Junkyard - 1,400,000 Coins to unlock. Construction - 1,400,000 Coins to unlock. Coins Coins are listed in the top left corner of the screen with a Golden icon. They are also the life-blood of this game. Coins allow you to do literally everything that is important. These functions include: Purchasing Stages, Vehicles, and Vehicle Upgrades. Coins can be generated in two ways; through the stage itself, or by purchasing. You drive through coins as you drive through the stages. Coins will start off in low amounts, and get into higher amounts and quantities. This happens rather quickly so don't worry about getting them. Coin Amounts through driving the game: 5 10 25 100 500 You also get coins for the distance you travel, the total is shown at the end of your game. In addition to driving through these coins, you can also obtain coins by doing tricks. These tricks include;Air-Time which is when all four wheels leave the ground, as well as flips which can include Flips, Back Flips, and Neck Flips''. Coin Amounts through tricks: Flip - 1000 Coins Neck Flip - 1000 Coins Back Flip - 1000 Coins Air-Time is generated by every second you are in the air. The score is not multipled or added the the shown previous amount, however it is a running total you will receive at the end. Air-Time - 50, 75, 100 Coins Big Air-Time - 200, 300, 400, 500 Coins Insane Air-Time - 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000, 3500, etc. You can purchase coins at any time by clicking on the yellow Get Coins button that is shown on all screens. Once clicked, you will be directed (in-game) to the purchasing page. This will show you seven purchasable amounts, and two bonus amounts by certain requirements. Purchasable Coin Amounts: 300,000 Coins + Ad Free - $1.99 600,000 Coins + Ad Free - $2.99 (-25%) 1,500,000 Coins + Ad Free - $4.99 (-50%) 4,000,000 Coins + Ad Free - $9.99 (-60%) 8,000,000 Coins + Ad Free - $16.99 (-70%) 16,000,000 Coins + Ad Free - $25.99 (-75%) 40,000,000 Coins + Ad Free - $49.99 (-80%) Bonus: 6,000 Coins - Like their Facebook page. 15,000 Coins - Watch a Video (must be clicked from App) Frequently Asked Questions Do coins stack up if I don't use them all? - Absolutely! There is no limit to your stash so save them up as you see fit. Can I shoot the tank? - Sadly no :( Can I sell a car for coins? - Unfortunately no, so make sure you spend your coins on the right one! How high can we go in levels? - There is no limit as of right now, the game will keep going as the scenery will repeat itself after a while with larger coin increments. Can I switch the upgrades each vehicle gets? - No, each vehicle gets the default four they are provided. What is the best level for coins? - There is a great combo that I found out which works well for coins. The Moon if you use the Monster Truck, because you will get a lot of Air-Time. Can I compare my scores with my friends? - Unfortunately no, however you can share them on Facebook right after the game ends.
