*Important Note: This FAQ is UNFINISHED, I recommend checking out
other FAQs first before this one, I WILL finish this FAQ this year
but due to work and other games, I wont be able to work on this
as fast as I wish I could, expect a version update in February.

Finished the game with the Treasure II Ending. Decided to make this
FAQ for 2 things, to share the info and to have it handy as I play
around. I dont have good memory for recipes,time and fav food.

[12/12/01]
The FAQ is 50% done. I finished recording all the characters time
and locations for the week. Experimented with the kitchen and giving
foods to different people and have recorded it. The FAQ is going well.

The FAQ is still undone, and I dont think I will be able to continue
doing this in a while, nevertheless, I think most of the information
here will be useful to players out there, specially the schedule, 
therefore I will post this FAQ at cheatcodes.com and gamefaqs.com
and hope noone mails me about how crappy this FAQ is because its
unfinished. ^_^

                        Introduction
---------------------------------------------------------------------
You have just arrived to your grandpa's farm after he left it to your
care after he passed away. The farm is old and forgotten, but luckily
the land is still fertile and you can see its potential despite all
the dust on it. As you explore the farm, you find out that the local
village is in danger of becoming a theme park, and all the fertile land
is destined to become a concrete parking lot. Can you help the residents
of this lovely village prevent the destruction of thier home? Can you
Save the Homeland?

This FAQ will include information to make the best out of your game and
to not waste any resources experimenting, because I already have. The
main reason this FAQ was created is to store the time it takes the 
crops and farm animals to grow, the real favorite foods of the townspeople
and the cooking recipes. 

The ending section is really simple, I didnt take a long time
creating that section because the focus of this FAQ isnt the endings
but the inner workings of the game.

                          Characters
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Most of the townspeople are very loveable and friendly, specially
that cute blue-eyed girl called Katie. ^_^ Anyway, the point of your
interaction with the characters is to make them your friends, and what
better way of making friendships than giving them gifts? 

This section will cover their favorite gift, not the one they only
thank you for and get on with their lives, the one they absolutely
LOVE! [Heart caption] This boosts friendships a lot! The section will
also describe their different locations throught the week.

About Fav Gifts:
The Characters wont respond to these gifts unless you meet them 
first, and make a good impression on them. Try to talk to them for
2 days straight before attempting to give them gifts they love.
They wont like your gifts unless they want to make friends with you.
Also Likes: means a musical note caption will appear.
Sweets-> Jam,Cake,Honey,Etc...
Egg Dishes-> Omelete,Sunny-Side Up,Etc...

About Locations:
Check the location by pressing the select button to see the map
and press X to see which location is it.
Walnut Forest -> Outside Carpenter's Shop.
Praria Forest -> Outside Clove's Villa.  
Maple Lake    -> The Lake where you fish.
Goddess Lake  -> The Lake where the Goddess appears.

*Sometimes they do different things on their day off, you might
see something like this: Sun and Sun* <- this means its an alternate
schedule, if they are not doing the first one, they might be doing
the other one.

About Time of the Day:
Remember that Time does not pass indoors, if you are waiting for
someone to arrive at a location, wait for them outside.

                             Farm Animals
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The Most useful Animal in the game is the horse, with it, you can cut
your time around time almost in half, as soon as you recieved it, be
sure to give it lots and lots of love and care, this section will 
explain how to get your farm animals and from where.

General Tips in Animal Care:
*Do not waste fodder when the sun is outside, if you take your chicken,
cows and horse outside on a sunny day you wont need to use chicken feed
or fodder to feed them.

*Always try to leave your animals outside under the sun. Their affection
towards you will multiply faster, they will make better produce and their
happiness will increase exponentially. Be sure to check your calendar
to know if the next day will rain or not, because if the next day is
in blue(rainy season), you will need to put your animals inside and
put some fodder there for them to eat.

*Always feed them if they are inside. (Put some fodder in their 
respective bins, press X infront of a bin to see which bin is for 
which animal)

*Let them out if it isnt raining. This is very important, make sure
they are outside if it isnt raining, if you dont, they will grow unhappy.

*The weather channel shucks! Dont listen to it, its 80% inaccurate!
The only times you should listen to it, is if its Mild season and the
% is above 60%.
However, the calendar isn't innacurate, its 100% right. 
If its dry season it will NEVER rain, if its Rainy season
it will Rain all the time unless you trigger an event in which someone
has to come to your house early, I recomend leaving your animals 
inside during the Rainy season no matter what. 


*Use the dual save trick: Use different save slots as your farm grows bigger.
For example: Save on slot#1 Spring 17th and use slot#2 Spring 18th,that way
if you didnt put your animals inside Spring 18th and on Spring 19th it rained,
thus all your animals got wet and unhappy, you can load the Spring 17th save
and plan your day to prevent this.

The Horse: 
The only way to aquire a horse is to get it as a gift from
Bob the owner of Brownie Farm, just talk to him over the counter
about working for him part-time. Be sure to make a great job while
working for him, if you work for him everyday continously for about
a week, and do a good job, he will give you a horse. To do a good job,
make sure you brush all five horses in the fields and talk to them, also
brush and milk the cow too, dont forget to put the fodder in their 
respective bins inside the stable. I suggest you pick a dry week to do
this because if you miss one day because of the rain, it will take more
time to get a horse. When can you be sure you ALMOST get the horse?
When you talk to the horses, you will no longer be afraid to be biten by
them. Also, giving gifts to Bob will speed things up.

****Making your horse faster****
Love! Love! Love! Be sure to brush him every day and talk to him too,
ride on him at least one hour under the sunny sky. He will run eventually,
and when he is able to, use him to do your chores around the town, you
can take him for a ride to the lake goddess and back again.

The Dog:

The only way to get a dog is to put food in a little dish outside your
house house everyday for about a week, two kinds of dogs will appear 
throught the town, a dog with a pink/red bandana and one with a blue one.
When the time is right, run towards it and try to catch it with the X button.
If you manage to catch it, you can keep him, however if he is still not fond of
you, he will run faster than you. Put food in the dish every morning so he doesnt
run faster than you.

Once you get the flute from Louis(I recommend meeting him at night near the lake
where he plays his own flute), you will be able to teach your dog tricks using the
flute, the tricks are the following:

Sit : ULD
Lay : UDD
Heel: LRR [He follows you,Carry him once to make him stop.]
Run : RLR [Gathers the cows if you make him run inside the pasture]
Jump: LUR
StUp: DUU

The Chickens:

Only way you are going to be able to get Golden Eggs, is to have a
chicken of your own. Easier, but slower way to get a chicken is to
buy an Egg at the supermarket for 50G and put it in the incubator, 
it will eventually hatch and become a chick. Then go buy another Egg
and repeat the process until the first chick becomes an adult chicken
and lays an egg, then you can use that egg to get another chicken.
Or, you can buy one at 500G at Bob's...the equivalent of 10 eggs,go figure.

Never let them outside on the rain, always feed them chicken feed on
their respective bins (press X infront of a bin to see its owner, if it
doesnt have a name, no chicken will feed from it.), in order for them to
lay golden eggs, they must wake up on a sunny day. Thus, the last day must
have been sunny as well. Plenty of golden sun will get you a golden egg.

The chickens eat for themselves outside, so there is no need to fill their
bins with chicken feed if they are going to spend the night outside.

The Cows:

Ah, your best resource of Income, the Cows. Its hard to get your first
cow due to the fact that it costs 2500G! But its well worth it. Only
way you are going to be able to get Golden Milk is to have a cow and take
really good care of it, like the chickens and the horse, they like to be
outside on the sun on sunny days and hate getting wet, if they get wet
they have a 70% of getting sick which will kill them in 3 days if you are
not careful. Feed them if they are going to sleep inside the stable with
fodder in their respective bins, brush them daily, talk to them and
milk them(if you can). 

The cows eat for themselves outside, so you wont have to fill the bins
if they are going to sleep on the pasture.

Timing is everything, well sorta, but its useful. You can make ALOT of
money if you time your crops in the rainy season, for example: I bought
48 potatoes seeds at Spring 16th [One day before raining season], and
planted the seeds that day(I didnt water them, seeds do not wither away)
then, after the season was over(Spring 22), I had 48 new potatoes and I
was 1920G's more richer, of course it took me like 4 game-hours to harvest
all those potatoes, but the money was very welcomed, because with it and
some savings I had, I bought my first cow ^_^.

^_^, Impress the local townsfolk and be famous for your cheesecakes!

of foods that will help you earn some extra cash and recover your energy
for those tasks that need all your strength.

                              Food and Fatigue

There are 3 things Food is good for: To sell it, To eat it and To 
give it away. This section will list the Food that can be sold
and to what price, and the fatigue points they recover when you eat it.

First I will explain Fatigue points (FP).

As you work [Use your tools] you will eventually get so tired that
you wont be able to do anymore work. The number of times you can use
a tool is what I call Fatigue Points. Once your FP are gone, the only
things you are going to be able to doo is feed the chickens, pick up
stuff and most importantly, sleep. With a good night's sleep (8 hrs),
all your FP will be back for your own use for another day. There are
ways to increase these FP without sleeping, you can either eat some food
and get some FP back, eat before working, (small boost on that day's FP),
or you can use the AM Potion Louis sells at the Tool Shop. 
There are ways to get more FP's per day as well, these include finding
Power Berries and wishing for more energy at the Lake Goddess's.

Fatigue Stage (FS) is the stage your farmer makes when he is getting tired.
The first FS is that he gets a handkerchief(sp?) and wipes off the sweat
on his forehead, in the second stage, he starts to pant heavily, and finally
on the 3rd stage, he almost faints, after the 3rd stage, you cannot do anymore
work for the day unless you eat.

With 4 Power Berries and without breakfast:

Useful Tip to speed up endings:
Try to only go after one particular ending instad of several, I finished
the Cake Contest in 3 weeks, because I kept focused and only made friends
with Katie and Gina, and went visit them both everyday, as well as bringing
them presents, avoid at all costs triggering the start of other endings.

*FT means my fastest time, the day that particular event happened for me.

First of all, before starting any Ending, meet everyone and go to the
Goddess Lake so she can ask you to save the town.

*If you cant find your horse after finishing the game and starting a new
one with previous saved data, look in the stables, he should be there.
