For HM01 (cut) you have to go to Azalea Town. After you defeat Team Rocket in the Slowpoke Well, The Azalea gym leader, and your rival, you go to the Ilex Forest. Talk to a guy next to a tree that can be cut. He will say he has lost his bosss pokemon which knows cut. Return his bosss pokemon to him and his boss will give you HM01 (cut). To get HM02 (fly) you have to go to Cianwood City (the island). Defeat the gym leader there then talk to the lady out side the gym. She will give you HM02 (fly). To get HM03 (surf) go to Ecruteak City to the building where the Kimono Girls dance. Defeat all five of the Kimono Girls than talk to the guy close to the door. He will give you HM03 (surf). To get HM04 (strength) you have to go to Olivine City. Go to the building beside the Pokemon Center. Go inside and talk to a sailor. He will say he doesnt need it because of his buff bodd. He will then hand you HM04 (strength). To get HM05 (flash) you need to go to Violet City. Walk to the Bellsprout Tower. Climb to the top and battle the elder. If you win you will get the HM05 (flash). To get HM06 (whirlpool) you need to go to Mahogany Town. After you battle the red Garydos talk to the guy in the cape in front of the sign at the Lake of Rage. Go to the rocket hideout (in the first building that you see in Mahogany Town but not the gym). The caped man will be in there. Defeat all of the Rockets and the Electrodes. The caped man will give you HM06 (whirlpool). To get HM07 (waterfall) you have to go to the Ice cave in Mahogany Town make sure you pick up every poke ball because one will have HM07 (waterfall). NOTE: you cannot get all of the HMs in numeral order. Q2 What is the best pokemon to start with? A2 For beginners you should start off with Cyndaquil. He is the best against most of the gyms in Johto. He is also good at a few of the gyms in Kanto. If you are not a beginner but not an expert either then you might want to try Totodile. (like me) If you are an expert than you might want to use Chikorita. Q3 What is Kanto? A3 Take a look at your pokegear map. You will notice in the bottom left corner it says Johto. Well when you get all eight of the Johto badges you will need to go to New Bark Town. (The town that you started in.) From there you need to surf west until you see land. When you step on the land a fat guy will tell you, you have just entered Kanto. Look in your pokegear map again and you will see Kanto instead of Johto. Q4 Can you meet Ash In this game? A4 Yes you can. Q5 Can you battle him? A5 Yes. Q6 What pokemon will he have? A6 He will have: Blastoise Level 77 Snorlax Level 73 Pikachu Level 81 Espeon Level 73 Charizard Level 77 Venasuar Level 77 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 6 Johto badges, cities, leaders, and their pokemon. To clone pokemon and duplicate items at the same time you need to give the item that you want to duplicate to the pokemon that you want to clone. Then you go to a Poke center and deposit the pokemon to the pc in the corner. Then change the box, when it asks you if you if you want to save choose YES. When it says SAVING DONT TURN OFF THE POWER turn it off at the N in DONT. Then turn it on and you will see that the pokemon is in you party and in the box. Your pokemon will have the item in your party and the one in the box will also have the same item. 8 How to wake up the sleeping Snorlax. After you get the radio card from the Johto radio tower in Goldenrod City you need to be able to go to Kanto. Then you need to solve the power plant problem. Go to the Kanto radio tower in Lavender Town. Talk to the guy starring at the wall he will give you an EXPN CARD. Turn your radio to the farthest it will go. In the word box it should say POKE FLUTE. Next go to the city with the Snorlax. Click on him and it will put the pokegear next to the Snorlax. He will wake up and want to battle. Make sure that you have a lot of ultra balls because he is on level 50.
