1) How to play


Here I will tell you how to play, and the controls.


up- up arrow (that was hard to figure out!)
Down- down arrow
Left- left arrow 
Right- right arrow
Start- press the start button (quite obvious) 
Select- same as start

RuckSack-

to get out an item, hold down A and L.
to get out a tool, press and hold down the B button, and press the L button.
To switch items, press and hold A and L.
To put an item in your RuckSack, press the B button.
to go to your rucksack, press A and R? I haven't got every key yet...Since I just started...
and to give an item to someone, or the shipping box, press A.


2) Getting Started

When you turn on your new game, just bought from the store, highly protected from the rain or snow, put it in 
your GBA SP, or GBA. Then look on the side, and it says ON and OFF. The switch will be on the OFF side(no 
DUHH!). Place your game in, and flip the switch on the ON side. It will take approximately 30 seconds to start 
up, so you will wait. To speed it up, press the A button repeatedly, or the B button. After it starts up, there will 
be a screen, saying start, or continue. Since you JUST got the game, go to Start. From there on, you must 
follow the instructions, and WATCH the movie, slideshow, OR WHAT EVER THE HECK YOU WANT TO CALL IT! 
Sorry about that. So anyways, go on with the instructions, place your name, date of birth(in this case, it will be 
SPRING, SUMMER, AUTUMN, or WINTER). Then, place the date(1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,ect.) , to move on. I 
think you will be able to name the town, but I forgot. You might be able to... Then I think you will get a dog. 
Name it something GOOD! Cuz your not gonna get another chance. I called my dog Fido(I was watching the 
commercial). After that, I think the shipping dude(I will say the names later) will show you around the town? I 
forgot... So! After that, you MUST clean the yard that you have! You will need this afterwards. If you have no 
idea when the shipping guy comes to get the stuff, he comes around 5:00 P.M! So let's go and get some 
money! First, go to the bottom of your farm. There will be a bridge, and a lake thing. Go on the bridge, and go 
to the next screen. The screen will dissolve very fast, and switch. Go and look for items. Since you don't have 
alot of money, you will need to get some things. You will get the bigger rucksack later in the game, when you 
have enough money (costs 3,000 G). You will also need the basket(5,000?). After you go around and explore 
the town, MEMORIZE THE PLACES! You will probably only have about a few minutes left, so don't even bother 
trying to get some stuff. Go into your little house, and go to the bed. It will ask you, turn in now? say yes, and 
you will jump into the bed, without putting on your PJ's. It will take about 5 seconds, you will be on the next 
day. I think people will come, but maybe its just in HM:AWL... So after you HAVE to go and get stuff now! So 
go around the places where you saw the items(herbs; those little plant things, and bamboo shoots; they look 
like yellow and white things.), and put them in the box near your house with the sign beside it. Note: MAKE 
SURE YOU STAY OUTSIDE UNTIL 5:00 P.M! OR YOU'LL LOOSE THE ITEMS YOU GOT!! After that, you will have to 
go and get the bigger rucksack! Isn't it annoying? Running around carrying only three items at one time? The 
store is beside the house with the big sign(on the left side there will be the supermarket), the place with the 
sign is where the girl I'm talking about lives. SO REMEMBER IT!! After you get the rucksack, go and get some 
items, to pay up for the bag you just got. You need about 10,000 G, and 500 logs? I think that's how many for 
the upgraded home... Well anyways! After you go and be a week in your home, it will be sat. so go on your 
T.V, and press the left button. It will be on the shopping channel. It will have cool items, that you NEED! So get 
them! Make sure you have at LEAST 5,000 G in your pocket. After the item is shown, well talked about, go to 
the bar. it is in the second part, in the second home. It will say, Doug's Bar. There will be a phone on the 
counter. Go to it. It will ask make a call for 10 G? Say yes, and the TV shopping network will be on. It will ask 
you, "do you want the ****** for *****?" Say yes, and then it will say, ok, it will be there in about 2-3 days. 
After that, go and say hi to EVERYONE you practically see. I only met the constable guy a few hours ago, cuz I 
forgot to say hi before. :S After you ship the items, go and walk around town. To get another glimpse of the 
town. After, go into your house, and go to sleep. you should have about  5,000-10,000 G. Make sure you do!

3) Towns people

Now, about those town people....


First, I am gonna tell you about the peoples names. I dont know the B-days yet, so bare with me please! If 
YOU know them, please!!!!!!!!!!! tell me!!



Zack- He is the shipping guy. He is very bulky, and he has a funny hair cut. He comes to your house when you 
get the furni, or to tell you something. He comes to get the shipments at 5:00 p.m every day but sundays(who 
knows why...). He might still come on Sun. but I never tried. Cuz last tim eI did, I didn't get the money for 
them... >:(

Gotz- He is the woodcutter. He gives you wood, and he makes your house bigger, makes a bath, builds a new 
window, and so on. You HAVE to get the 2nd upgrade on your house to get the windows and what not.

Anna- She has short black hair, and is Mary's mother. She is also very helpful. She gives you a recipe every 
tues? if you are her friend, at 1:00 pm.

Basil- He is a traveler? He is also Anna's husband, and Mary's dad. He runs a book shop, or library with his 
daughter Mary.

Lillia- She is Popuri's mom, and rick's mom. She runs the chicken farm, with the help of her son.

Rick- He is helping with his mom, at the chicken farm. He takes care of the chickens. He also gets married to 
Karen, if you don't go after her. They hang out alot.

Rod-This is Lillia's husband. You can't see him, because he is looking for herbs to heal his sick wife. You won't 
be able to see him, I don't think...And I also think this is his name...

Rick- He is Lillia's son, and is Popuri's bro. He likes Karen. They eventually get married in the forth year. You 
must see all of the heart events, for them to get married I think.

Carter- He is the priest. If you be friends with him, one day he will be talking to Cliff, and he shows you a 
room, where he gets all of his mushrooms from. After that, you can always go and steal his wonderful 
mushrooms and truffles! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!! Sorry..

Doctor- He is the doctor at the mineral Clinic. He will let you go upstairs if you be good friends with him(give 
him lots of honey and herbs).

Thomas- He is the mayor of the town. He tells you important things, like festivals. Make sure to be friends 
with him! He's nice if you are! He wears red.

Constable- I don't know his real name..., I probably forgot... Anyways! He complains that there is not any 
crimes, and he wears blue. He goes to the woodcutters house every day, except when Gotz doesn't work.

H. Goddess- She is very helpful. If you throw in flowers, for ten days straight, she will give you a power berry. 
If you do the same again, she will ask you, "do you like anyone?" say yes, and she will ask you who? Say elli! If 
you want to marry her!! (if you don't want to marry her, then why the heck are you reading this faq?) It will 
make her like you more. She will have an extra heart, like black-purple, or purple-blue like that! :)

Barley-  He works at the cattle farm. Go to him if you want to buy a sheep or a cow. He comes to your house 
on the first week of the second year, to see how your horse is doing. If he has lower than SIX hearts, he will 
take him way. He will give him back one year later. So brush him and talk to him everyday!

May- She is Barley's grand-daughter. She has short black hair, and is outside most of the times in spring and 
summer AND fall!

Hannah- she is a dog at the cattle farm. You an have puppies with her. Just be friends with Ol' man Barley, 
and bring your dog to his house, and he will take him, and the next day, you will have one puppy! 

Siberia-He is the blacksmith. He can upgrade your tools. When Mary comes to get a tool, that got upgraded, 
Gray will yell, and Mary will help him. Mary and Gray get married I think...

Fido- This is my dog's name. You can call it whatever you want! He is a good dog. He protects your farm from 
foxes. He makes the wood stay up longer( I prefer rocks as your fences).
 
Kai- He is in love with Popuri. So if you want to marry her, You have a good chance. You have a chance, 
because he leaves at the end of summer. And comes back when it starts next year.

Won- He likes Karen? I have heard that from somewhere... Well he sells seeds, and he also sells a frisbee, and 
a ball for you and your dog to play with. I suggest only getting the ball, because it is good practice. He also 
comes to you house every month to sell you apples, or a vase. DONT BUY! I REPEAT DONT BUY!!!!!! THEY ARE 
REGULAR APPLES!! THATS WHY HE SAYS "HA! I THOUGHT NO ONE WOULD... I MEAN THANKS ALOT SIR!! 
GOODBYE!!!"HE SELLS YOU SOME STUPID VASE TO! DONT BUY THAT EITHER!!!!! ITS 5,000 AND ITS A WASTE OF 
MONEY!

Manna- She runs the wine thing, and her daughter, Aja, comes back I think to marry Cliff? I don't know. I am 
only on year three, so bare with me! She tells you about Barley, and how his wife came back, with another 
child, and left again dropping her off with him(May).

Duke- He picks the grapes for the wine. He also makes the wine. He has slick black hair. He goes in the cellar 
mostly, if he isn't outside, or in the house.

Cliff- He also helps picks the grapes for the wine. You have to make him come with you to the little job that 
Duke wants you to do. You only have 'till  7:00 pm to get him. He is probably in the church.

Aja- She is Manna's and Duke's daughter? That's what I heard... She left to a different town, just before Cliff 
came. :'( SO SAD!!!! (NOT!)

Doug- He runs the bar (obviously! that was hard!),a dn his daughter is one of the girls you can marry! Be nice 
to him, and you can go in the room with the door locked? You have to use his phone(beside where you buy 
drinks on the counter) to buy furni.

Stu- He is Elli's Bro. He is very annoying to her. He stays in the home with his grannie! LOL. Well he is just a 
kid... If you say you understand, when he asks you if you know what he's talking about, You will lose a heart 
with Elli! So say you DON'T UNDERSTAND!!

Ellen- She is Elli's grannie. She has some problem with her legs, and can't walk, MEANWHILE SHE IS AT EVERY 
FESTIVAL!!!!!! AND WHEN YOU GET MARRIED OT ELLI, SHE IS IN THE FRIGGIN CHURCH!!! AND I THOUGHT SHE 
COULDN'T WALK!!!.....

Jeff- He runs the market. If you go to the blue heart event?, he will have a problem with his stomach, and Elli 
will get the wrong medicine, and the doc will yell at her! :( MEANIE!!!*hits doctor*

4)  Girls you can befriend
 
The girls you can befriend, are:


Popuri- She has pink hair, and is Lillia's daughter. She works at the chicken farm with her mom and bro. She is 
at these places at these times:

around 6:00-10:00 she will be at the goddess place. She will be there ONLY ON SOME DAYS! Beware, she can 
be VERY mean! If you get her the wrong gift, she will scream at you! I swear! She does! 


Mary- She is the nerdy girl you can marry! She likes anything you can find around your farm. And she is also 
very shy! If you be really and I mean REALLY nice to her, you can marry her. You have to marry her if you want 
to have a NERD in your family.


Ann- She is very weird sometimes. She can be funny also. If you give her any kind of GREEN grass, she will go 
and say, "wow... thanks... is it really for me?" or something like that. She also goes to the falls, everyday, but 
festivals. She doesn't go when it snows or rains. give her lots and lots of flowers... I think...

Karen- I am not even gonna bother... she likes flowers or something like that.

Elli- SHE IS THE ONE YOU SHOULD MARRY, IF YOU ARE READING THIS FAQ, SINCE IT IS HOW TO FRIGGIN 
MARRY HER!!!!!! GOD!!!!!sorry...

She likes any type of flowers, or mining things. Those are like, the purple and orange gems that you find in 
the winter mine. She also likes it more when you WRAP the presents. Make sure you give her at least ONE 
wrapped present a day. And by the time it is the second year, and you went to the H.G every day for 20 days, 
and the wish about the girl, she will like you by the second year ends. Ask her to marry her, when her heart 
level is at orange or red, marry her! She will say ok lets go somewhere more private, and you will go to your 
house. she will say yes, and after that, she will say every married couple needs a nick name don't they? and 
choose a nickname that they have already, or make one up. My nick name is Sexy*heart*. It sounds funny! 
lol!!! 
After you make her heart level at scarlet red, she will tell you that her stomach hurts. Go to the clinic, and he 
will say she's pregnant! YEY!!!! It will be a boy, and thats why (if you were wondering) you have three beds, 
instead of two (or one big one). 


5) Falling in LoVe :)

 When you go to a girl EVERYDAY to give her the things she likes(Elli and Mary are easiest to marry, because 
they just like flowers...), they will talk different to you. Like if you were going after Elli(NO DUHH!!!), she would 
be working at the clinic right? All you have to do is go BEHIND the counter and talk to her, and she will say at 
like an orange heart, "hi! I am so glad to see you! I thought you were hurt! Thank goodness your not!" or 
something like that...LOL 

For Mary, I don't know yet, and for the other girls... 
But they will probably just say more liking things, like "o! I am so happy to see you!" or sumfin like that...LOL

6) Being parents

When you get married to Elli(you wouldn't be reading this guide other wise...)
Her heart level is at red right away, when you marry her. So when it is a little bit darker than usual (you have 
to keep giving her flowers), she will say after ONE season after it was scarlet red, she will say to you one day, 
that her stomach is hurting. take her to the clinic, and the doctor will say shes pregnant or sumfin like that. 
After that, it will take three seasons I think to her to have a baby. After he will help you out on the farm. If you 
marry Popuri, she will help you out on the farm I think also. Elli will be really happy, and you get to name him. 
Maybe there is names already there, but I would name him by myself. I haven't got to the pregnant part yet, 
but I am almost there! YEY! Her heart level is at darker red colour already! :)
