This is a list of ratchet and clank’s foes and their stats from the guide book.

TESLADRONE:

STRENGTH: weak
DEFENSE: weak
RANGE: close
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Kerwan
INFO: These pesky robotic guards charge towards their targets in an attempt to
shock them with their electrified arms. More irritating than deadly,
Tesladrones pose a minor threat when found in numbers. Because of their weak
armor, use a few quick swings from ratchet’s omniwrench to dispose of them.

DROPHYD SENTRY:

STRENGTH: moderate
DEFENSE: moderate
RANGE: close
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Kerwan
INFO: The bead and butter of the Emperor Tachyon’s attack force, sentries are
lacking in the brain category. With more durable armor than the tesladrones,
attacks against these enemies using the omniwrench are not recommended.
However, the combuster is a good choice for long range fire, and a fusion
grenade or two can wipe out a small group of these sentries before the knew
what hit them.

DROPHYD TROOPER:

STRENGTH: moderate
DEFENSE: moderate
RANGE: long
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Kerwan
INFO: More advanced than the drophyd sentry, these enemies come equipped with
an arm cannon that can fire from long range. While they didn’t exactly graduate
at the top of the sharpshooter class, when multiple foes are group together,
they become a moderate threat. Use the strafe maneuver and side flips to avoid
their projectiles while nailing them with the combuster from afar. Take note
that more advanced trooper sport heavier armor, jetpacks that allow them to fly
and hover, more powerful ammunition, and some even have the ability to enter
stealth mode.

DROPHYD:

STRENGTH: zero
DEFENSE: laughable
RANGE: none
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Kerwan
INFO: It’s hard to imagine the galaxy being overrun by a bunch of creatures
oddly resembling a goldfish. Yet, after destroying a trooper, ratchet will find
their mechanical bodies are really just life support systems for the drophyd
contained inside. Without their bio-suit for protection, these amphibians are
utterly defenseless and can be destroyed by the sheer destructive force of
ratchet’s foot.

TACHYON TRANSORT SHIP:

STRENGTH: strong
DEFENSE: strong
RANGE: long
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Kerwan
INFO: Tachyon’s massive transport ships hover down into the front lines and
deploy troopers onto the battlefield. While they pose no threat early on in the
adventure, they are combat-ready and soon use no discretion when firing if
ratchet gets within range. It’s possible to take one of these flying transport
down, but you will need some major firepower to do so (a.k.a. the RYNO 4 EVER).

TACHYON GUNSHIP

STRENGTH: moderate
DEFENSE: moderate
RANGE: moderate
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Kerwan
INFO: Tachyon gunships attack with two searing-hot laser cannon that cut
through the ground, or lofty bombs that exploded with a wide blast radius.
Watch where they are aiming , then strafe or jump to the side before their
projectiles can connect. Long-range weapons are highly recommended for use
against these fling hostiles, as getting too close can result in death,
maiming, and dismemberment-not necessarily in that order.

CERULLEAN SWARMER

STRENGTH: weak
DEFENSE: weak
RANGE: close
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Cobalia
INFO: Swarmers are more than happy to turn ratchet into a tasty pre-dinnertime
snack. Using only their razor-sharp teeth to attack, these enemies charge in
for the kill. Although they are easily dispatched with most weapons , beware of
these nasty critters when they appear in larger groups. If ratchet gets
surrounded, perform a hyper strike to knock them back and clear them away.

CERULLEAN CENTIPEDE

STRENGTH: moderate
DEFENSE: moderate
RANGE: long
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Cobalia
INFO: These multi-legged insectisoids belch up nasty stomach acids that they
hurl at their targets with surprising accuracy. Sporting hard outer shell, it
takes repeated firepower to dispatch them. Strafe to avoid their projectile
vomiting and blast them from a distance.

BASILISK LEVIATHAN

STRENGTH: moderate
DEFENSE : strong
RANGE: moderate
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Cobalia
INFO: These flying territorial behemoths put up a tough fight. They have a
spitting attack that they can launch from a moderate distance, as well as an
electrical, full body charge and a shock bubble drop that dispenses several
bouncing balls of crackling energy that can zap ratchet on contact. Keep these
foes in sight at all times, avoid their attack at all costs, and send a stream
of continuous fire.

TUMFOIDS

STRENGTH: zero
DEFENSE: invulnerable (to ammo)
RANGE: close
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Cobalia
INFO: Located were gelatonium is abundant, these small creatures get crazed at
the mere sight of the substance. While they’re not aggressive towards ratchet
in any way, there are some was to deal with them. Toss a decoy cube, launch a
groovitron, in case them in gel, or whack them into the nearest gel pool.

DROPHYD CYCLOCANNON

STRENGTH: strong
DEFENSE: strong
RANGE: long
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Kortog
INFO: The ambitious amphibians of tachyon’s army, these drophyds are rewarded
with a deadly cannon on wheels. Although lacking mobility, the shoot a powerful
and steady stream of firepower from their front cannon, sweeping from one side
of the battlefield to the other.

DROPHYD DEFENDER

STRENGTH: moderate
DEFENSE: strong
RANGE: close and long
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Kortog
INFO: The only difference between these foes and the ones found earlier in
Ratchet's adventure is that these versions come equipped with a strong shield
that is capable of reflecting

BOMBER NANOPHYTES

STRENGTH: strong
DEFENSE: moderate
RANGE: moderate
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Fastoon
INFO: Much more deadly than their brethren, these Nanophytes toss powerful,
noxious grenades that can cause major damage if they make contact. Uncaring
toward their own kind, they often stand in the back and relentlessly toss
grenades toward Ratchet, even if it means taking out a few of their own on the
front line

CLUBBER NANOPHYTES

STRENGTH: weak
DEFENSE: weak
RANGE: close
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Fastoon
INFO: Clubber nanophytes aren't the most threatening enemies by themselves,
but when several of them get together, their speed, sharp teeth, and
persistence can pose a moderate threat. When surrounded, use the Shock Ravager
to provide some breathing room.

HUG-ME-TIGHT NANNY BOT

STRENGTH: strong
DEFENSE: moderate
RANGE: close
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Mukow
INFO: These hovering robots have no qualms about smashing Ratchet between
their oversized electrical hands. To avoid a shocking migraine, shoot down
these enemies from a distance before they get a chance to reach Ratchet. And
whatever you do, don't use the Omniwrench on them, as it simply serves as a
conduit that sends their electrical waves coursing through the wrench and into
Ratchet!

PALADRONES

STRENGTH: moderate
DEFENSE: weak
RANGE: long
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Mukow
INFO: These squiggly-armed gladiators shoot at Ratchet from afar during the
arena challenges. While their projectiles and rate of fire are fairly slow,
they can be a nuisance and threat in large groups. When hit by the Omniwrench,
they become stunned for a brief moment, thus creating the perfect opportunity
to finish them off with either more melee power or a blast to the face with a
close-range weapon.

TERRAKLONS

STRENGTH: moderate
DEFENSE: weak
RANGE: close
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Mukow
INFO: These gladiators are as deadly in the battle arena as they are skillful
in the kitchen. Each arm is outfitted with a sharp blade and, while they can
only attack at close range, they are agile, quick and possess various attack
patterns. They also tend to fight in large groups, serving to distract Ratchet
while their long-range cohorts bombard the Lombax from afar. Getting in their
face with the omniwrench is a viable option, but it's safer to fight from a
distance and pummel them with explosive weaponry

DETONOIDS

STRENGTH: weak
DEFENSE: weak
RANGE: close
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Mukow
INFO: Detonoids have just one objective programmed into their system-blowing
up their targets! These explosive robots make a beeline toward their opponents
and begin a short countdown once they get close, ending with a deadly
explosion. With very weak armor, these robotic foes are susceptible to a single
shot from the Combuster.

ARGONOIDS

STRENGTH: moderate
DEFENSE: weak
RANGE: long
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Mukow
INFO: These gladiators like to keep their distance and lob grenades toward
Ratchet. White targets appear on the ground where the explosives will hit, so
move out of the way before they land. With no other form of attack, these
baddies are actually quite vulnerable at close range. Try long jumping in close
between volleys and using the Shock Ravager to attack several at one time!

CUSHTO

STRENGTH: moderate
DEFENSE: strong
RANGE: moderate
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Mukow
INFO: Hailed as one of the Galaxy's most feared gladiators, Crushto is
equipped with a rocket launcher on one arm and a rapid-fire cannon on the
other. Strafing is the best way to avoid his rocket fire, and be prepared to
side flip when he sweeps the arena floor with his cannon. In addition, he will
occasionally attempt to blow Ratchet off the arena floor, or even suck him into
his mouth, chewing him up and then spitting him back out. Move in the opposite
direction of the flow when this occurs and keep up the firepower.

ZORTHAN THE IRRITABLE

STRENGTH: moderate
DEFENSE: strong
RANGE: close and long
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Mukow
INFO: Crush to isn't the only solo act in the Imperial Fight Fest! This
phantom gives his competitors a run for their money. His attacks vary from long
to short range. The most lethal attack consists of laser fire from each eye
that crosses back and forth, forcing Ratchet to playa deadly game of jump rope.
Zorthan also throws down electrical charges that multiply and spit out more
charges, all of which damage anything that touches them. Finally, Zorthan will
twist and twirl himself into a whirling dervish, knocking the sense out of
anyone it comes into contact with. Stay mobile and keep up the offensive!

THERMOSPLITTER

STRENGTH: moderate
DEFENSE: strong
RANGE: close
1st APPEARANCE: Nudac Asteroid Ring
INFO: These small, speedy Thermosplitters shoot two powerful lasers into the
ground while chasing down Ratchet. Their attack range is minimal and, like most
melee combatants, they tend to attack in groups. However, if they surround
Ratchet, their powerful lasers will make short work of him. The best way to
deal with these pesky guards is to backpedal while blasting them with a
powerful weapon that can take out several of them at once, such as the Predator
Launcher or Fusion Grenade.

FUSION TURRET

STRENGTH: strong
DEFENSE: strong
RANGE: long
1st APPEARANCE: Nudac Asteroid Ring
INFO: It's a good thing that these turrets can't move, because these elite
defense systems really pack a punch. Capable of firing from long distances,
these defensive Fusion Turrets unload a steady stream of firepower. Do not
attempt to destroy them at close range, as their sturdy armor enables them to
withstand a large amount of punishment. Use explosives, or even a few Plasma
Beasts, to quickly dispose of them from afar.

BUCCANEER

STRENGTH: moderate
DEFENSE: moderate
RANGE: close
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Ardolis
INFO: These grog-guzzling Buccaneers keep it classy with saber in hand, aiming
to chop up Ratchet into sizeable portions. While they must get in close to
inflict damage, their massive swords can take a major chunk from Ratchet's
health meter should they connect. Attack them with steady, long-range firepower
as soon as they begin to advance to keep them from getting too close.

CORSAIR

STRENGTH: moderate
DEFENSE: moderate
RANGE: long
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Ardolis
INFO: These foes have opted for long-range firepower instead of the
traditional sword. It's entirely possible these goons are too sloshed to fire
quickly, as they have a slow rate of fire. Avoid their projectiles and return
the favor with a strong, long-range weapon.

HARDY BUCCANEER

STRENGTH: moderate
DEFENSE: strong
RANGE: close
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Ardolis
INFO: Hardy Buccaneers carry large shields that make them more difficult to
eliminate. A solid crack of the Shock Ravager renders their protective shield
useless, as will any other explosive weapon in Ratchet's arsenal.

THWOGS

STRENGTH: weak
DEFENSE: weak
RANGE: close
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Ardolis
INFO: Thwogs are found in large groups, usually inside dank, wet caverns.
These flying foes attack intruders on sight, swarming them in an attempt to
feast on their Nanotech. With very little armor, it's quite possible to
eliminate several of them by tossing a Fusion Grenade or using a short-range
blast from the Shard Reaper.

SWAB

STRENGTH: strong
DEFENSE: strong
RANGE: close
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Ardolis
INFO: Never play tag with one of these robotic beasts! Finding joy in the art
of disguise, Swabs often hide in the shape of a raritanium chest, then pop out
and head toward their unsuspecting prey. Supercharged with high-voltage
electricity, do everything in your power to stop these maniacs before they
reach Ratchet. Due to their extensive armor, you may have to do some back
flipping to avoid their touch while relentlessly blasting away at them.

ROGUE

STRENGTH: strong
DEFENSE: strong
RANGE: close and long
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Ardolis
INFO: Large and in charge! These huge, relentless, ape-like Rogues like jump
into battle and shoot explosive cannon that roll and bounce around the
immediate are, exploding on contact. The Rogue also occasionally shoots out a
time bomb that sticks to the ground and expands a short blast wave on
detonation. Don’t even think to move in close to avoid the explosives, as these
beast can slam their massive arms and send out a shockwave that badly injures
anyone caught within its radius. The best way to deal with a Rogue is to throw
down Nano-Swarmer Hive to slowly chip away at its health while continuing to
blast it with a long-range weapon from afar.

GRUNTHOR

STRENGTH: strong
DEFENSE: strong
RANGE: close, moderate and long
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Sargasso
INFO: These mammoth creatures are the keepers of Leviathan Souls on Planet
Sargasso. With powerful attacks, Ratchet must stay light on his feet to avoid
the possibility of rapid death that this monster is capable of inflicting. To
make matters worse, Grunthors are very durable. Try laying down a Nano-Swarmer
Hive and calling on Mr. Zurkon for backup. This, along with any additional long-
range firepower, should make quick work of this beast.

ANTHROPOD

STRENGTH: weak
DEFENSE: weak
RANGE: close
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Sargasso
INFO: These burrowing Beetles pop out of the ground in groups to attack
Ratchet when he least expects it. A single whack with the omniwrench can turn
these critters into fertilizer, although it's possible to become overwhelmed by
several of them. Keep an eye out for them, especially when fighting a Grunthor,
as they can serve as a deadly distraction during more difficult fights.

GRUBSNUCKER

STRENGTH: moderate
DEFENSE: moderate
RANGE: moderate
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Sargasso
INFO: As fierce as they are unattractive, Grubsnuckers like to hang out in
small groups and attack in full force when threatened. Don't mistake their
small size for a lack of power, however, as their attacks can be quite deadly.
When their bodies start to expand, they are preparing to launch a projectile
toward Ratchet.

KERCHU ROLLER

STRENGTH: moderate
DEFENSE: moderate
RANGE: close
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Sargasso
INFO: These guys spell trouble when they get an a roll! They may not seem like
a threat when they are standing around, but once they caver up with their
bladed armor and start rolling, they became deadly mobile weapons that are
nearly invulnerable to non-explosive firepower. The best strategy is to avoid
their speedy attacks and fire at them when they emerge from their caver.
Consider these foes as a very dangerous enemy.

KERCHU PYROGUARD

STRENGTH: moderate
DEFENSE: strong
RANGE: close and long
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Sargasso
INFO: These mechanized enemies came equipped with twin flamethrowers that can
rain dawn a hail of fireballs from a long distance, as well as spew a stream of
molten flame at close range. Heavily armored, these foes can be quite difficult
to defeat. Stay far away and attack with the most powerful long-range weaponry
available.

ENFORCER

STRENGTH: moderate
DEFENSE: strong
RANGE: close and long
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Viceron
INFO: These towering mechanized enemies resemble a turret with legs and pose a
serious threat to any combatant in their line of sight. Sporting two rapid-fire
cannons, Ratchet must dodge their projectiles if he wishes to survive. Couple
this with very heavy armor ,you have quite the force to reckon with. Blasting a
barrage of negotiator rockets their way should do the trick, as weaker weapons
take some time to effectively destroy these machines. And don’t even think of
running underneath their body to attack between their legs, they will simply
smash dawn and crush Ratchet like a tin can

KERCHU MECHWREKER

STRENGTH: moderate
DEFENSE: strong
RANGE: close and long
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Jacinou
INFO: Some Kerchu are forced to live their entire natural lives groveling over
their small size and stature. The Mechwrecker, on the other hand, decided to
remedy this curse by riding around in a massively oversized, death-dealing
mechanical body suit! Its massive arms can smash the ground, sending out a
large shockwave that damages anything it touches. The Mechwrecker can also fire
volleys of rockets into the ground that detonate after a brief moment. If
Ratchet gets below the Mechwrecker, Kerchu Rollers will deploy from its gaping
maw and attack on sight. Double jump its shockwave attacks, call in backup in
the form of Nano-Swarmers and Mr. Zurkon, then fire away with a strong weapon
like the Negotiator.

CRAGPOLE

STRENGTH: weak
DEFENSE: weak
RANGE: close
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Reepor
INFO: To think that Emperor Tachyon used to be one of these nasty nuisances!
Young Cragpoles tend to hang out in large groups and swarm toward any nearby
prey. As unintelligent as they are ugly, they don't pose much of a threat aside
from being a distraction. While their main mode of attack is to get up close
and chomp on Ratchet's ankles, they can also belch out short-range projectiles.
With such weak armor, a few whacks with the Omniwrench or a swipe with the
Shock Ravager can easily clear out a small group in no time.

CAPTAIN ROMULUS SLAG

STRENGTH: strong
DEFENSE: strong
RANGE: close and long
1st APPEARANCE: Oblik Passage
INFO: Captain Slag fears no enemy and his plank feels no remorse! The large
Cap'n has several deadly attacks in his arsenal, including volleys of two blue
missiles that loosely lock-on to Ratchet and bounce around the battle arena.
When these missiles appear, pull out the Combuster and shoot them down. In
addition, the grog-thirsty Slag can take a swig of the stuff from his mug and
breathe fire onto the battlefield, leaving small areas on fire. On occasion, he
will also jump out of attack range and send in some goons to do his bidding. He
also has the ability to transform his hook into a giant hammer that smashes
into a painful shockwave throughout the surrounding area.

CRAGMITE WARRIOR

STRENGTH: moderate
DEFENSE: moderate
RANGE: long
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Reepor
INFO: The Cragmite Warrior is a fully grown form of the Cragmite species, and
is known as the deadliest creature to exist within an eight galaxy radius. The
Cragmite Warriors once terrorized the entire galaxy, extinguishing hundreds of
species and obliterating entire planets in their headlong rush to conquer the
galaxy. The species was declared extinct at the end of the Great War, but many
throughout the galaxy still live with the fear that the Cragmites would somehow
return.

CRAGMITE HUNTER

STRENGTH: moderate
DEFENSE: moderate
RANGE: long
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Reepor
INFO: Something significant must occur during a Cragmite's growing process,
because these older beasts are much fiercer and combat-ready than their younger
siblings. With the ability to de-molecularize into thin air then transport a
short distance away, these Cragmites can be very difficult to eliminate.
Equipped with long rang weapons, they move into the offensive immediately upon
reappearing, giving little time to set up an attack. Your best bet is to wait
for them to teleport, then fire at them the moment they reappear.

EMPEROR PERCIVAL TACHYON

STRENGTH: moderate
DEFENSE: moderate
RANGE: long
1st APPEARANCE: Planet Reepor
INFO: The meanest foe of the bunch! The scummiest of the scum! The crabbiest
of the Cragmites! Emperor Percival Tachyon would like nothing more than to see
every last Lombax wiped off the face of the Galaxy. The Emperor's highly
technological exoskeleton is outfitted with a wide range of deadly attacks.
These attacks include firing a searing laser down at Ratchet, deploying large
quantities of spider bombs, and jumping up and stomping down on the ground.
Plus, he hurls comets down at our intrepid heroes and even unloads a large
number of missiles that detonate a few seconds after sticking into the ground.
In other words, Tachyon embraces mayhem. It's best to stay mobile, take evasive
action often, and call on Ratchet's strongest weapons to fell the would-be
ruler of the galaxy.
