There are six gym leaders in the game which are hard and you must battle them
to continue the game.

Walkthrough
Littleroot Town
When the game starts pick your gender and your name. Now you will be in a
moving tuck going to little root. When it stops go right out of the truck and
you mom will take you inside. When you get inside go straight forward through
the door to go upstairs into your room. Go up to the computer and take out the
Potion then go to the clock and set it. Go downstairs and your mom will bring
you up to the television then go outside. Go into the house on the right if you
are a boy and the house on the left if you are a girl.

When you enter the next door neighbor’s mom will talk to you. Go upstairs and
walk up to the child at the computer and talk to them. They will say there name
is Brendan (if you are a girl) and May (if you are a boy). You will later
become friends with him/her. Go downstairs then outside and go between the two
houses then head north. Go around the kid and he will say that Professor Birch
is under attack.

Route 101
Walk past the kid and you will see the professor being attacked by a Pokemon.
Walk past the kid and walk up to the picnic basket and press A. Pick a Pokemon
for you to have (either Mudkip, Treecko, or Torchic). We suggest Mudkip. Now
you will get in a battle with the Poochyena which is lv 2. Your Pokemon is lv
5.

Only use Tackle/Scratch to attack it because growl and attacks that do no
damage won’t help you in battle. After you defeat the Poochyena Professor Birch
will thank you and leave. He will bring you to his lab in Little Root Town.

Littleroot Town
He will give you the Pokemon you used in battle then tell you to meet his
son/daughter Brendan/May on Route 103. Leave the room then start head back to
Route 101 into Oldale Town.

Oldale Town
When you enter Oldale Town use the Pokemon Center if you go in a fight on Route
101 then speak to the lady in the white apron left of the brown house. She will
show you the Pokemon Store and give you a free Potion! Then go north into Route
103.

Route 103
Get north through the brush to find Brendan/May. Talk to them and you will get
in a battle. He/she will have a Treecko if you have Mudkip, Torchic if you have
Treecko, and a Mudkip if you have Torchic. Use the same tactic as with the
Poochyena and you should win and he/she will give you 300 dollars. You will
probably have leveled up during the battle and if not fight in Route 103 until
you are lv 6. Head south through Oldale Town and Route 101 and go to Professor
Birch’s lab and talk to Professor Birch.

Littleroot Town
He will give you a Pokedex and Brendan/May will give you five Pokeballs which
are used to catch Pokemon. Leave the building and head toward Route 101 and
your mom will stop you and give you Running Shoes. Now run to Route 101.

Route 101
When you enter Route 101 catch the three Pokemon Poochyena, Zigzagoon, and
Wurmple. Now head north to Route 103 and catch Wingull then go back to Oldale
Town.

challenged by to a Pokemon battle with Youngster Calvin. Luckily all that he

Rick. He has two Wurmples lv 4. Defeat him and go north through the bushes to
get in another Pokemon battle. Defeat Youngster Allen (who has a lv 5 Poocyena
and a lv 3 Taillow). Go up to the right and grab the berries then go back to
Oldale Town and heal at the Pokemon center and return to the berries. Go left
and down and you will get in another Pokemon battle. Lass Tiana has a two lv 4
Zizagoons. Defeat her then go down and jump over the line and grab the Pokeball
looking item then return to the girl. Capture a Ralts then fight in the bushes
until your main Pokemon is lv 10 (unless it already is) then go left into
Petalburg City.

Petalburg City
When you enter Petalburg city go heal in the Pokemon center then come out side
and follow the path left then up into the Pokemon Gym. Speak to your dad then
follow the kid Wally and watch him catch a Ralts. Speak to your dad again then
leave the gym. Then follow the path left.

Route 104
Go left and up into the bushes and catch a Taillow then go down to the beach.
Go left and battle the kid walking in circles. Youngster Billy has a lv 6
Seedot and a lv 8 Taillow. Defeat him then go up until you go up the stairs off
of the beach. Go right then up the path and grab the berries and go left to get
in a Pokemon battle with Rich Boy Winston. All he has is a lv 7 Zigzagoon so
defeat him and go up into the forest.
Petalburg Woods
Go into the bushes and level up your Wurmple by putting him out then putting
out your main Pokemon and defeating the enemy Pokemon. Once he evolves at lv 7
capture the Pokemon Cascoon/Silcoon (the opposite of what your Wurmple evolved
into), Shroomish, and Slakoth. Go right until you find more bushes and get next
to the spot that has nothing and look at it and press A to get a Potion! Go

entrance of the woods.

and exit the forest.

go behind the house and collect the items in the gaps then come back down and
enter the building. Speak to the two ladies that are farthest away from the
door to get a few items then leave the building. Go down then right and defeat
the trainer then go right and defeat another one. Go up and battle the two
girls then go up the bridge and battle the fisherman to the right of the
bridge. Go right and speak to the lady then collect the berries and head up
toward the city. When you see the fence to the right go on the outside and
follow it and grab the X Defend then come back and enter the city.
