The pros and cons of time traveling - Guide for Animal Crossing: Wild World

Hi! I'm i heart flame.  I'm here to tell you the goods and bads to time 
traveling. Please do not copy my faq! if you want to use  info from this guide 
simply state thet I, Maggie or i heart flame (whichever you prefer) discovered 
this info through 3 months of testing and trial and error, you cannot change 
my 
faq in any way, and I would appreciate if you rated my faq if you want to use 
facts from within it.

THE GOODS
So yeah, you're hard up for bells. Time traveling can be good for that. Say if 
you time travel to new years day to get that bonus of 10,000 from mom. Or if 
you time travel to the fishing tourney or some other holiday. That's fine by 
me. I've made alot of money by doing that. Note to beginners: to time travel 
you go to the phone when you wake up your sleeping character. Select Reset 
clock. Select the desired date and press o.k. , simple enough right? ( it 
won't 
work if you click on you're character, go outside, go back in, then click on 
the phone.)
THE LIST OF GOODS
1. you get money sometimes
2. you get mail
3. you get new neighbors
4.you go to a certain fish's or bug's season and catch it
5. you enjoy snow,green grass, or a special holiday
6.you discover what happens when you go to new years eve of 2099 and enjoy the 
countdown only to be disappointed, oh well it was fun anyways you say

THE BADS
So you lost 50,000 bells cuz you forgot about those turnips you bought from 
Joan. I feel your pain. It's happend to me 5 times atleast.  Time traveling 
can 
be good for some things, but it's better if you do your homework on it first 
so 
you know what to expect.
THE LIST OF BADS
1.you loose that special neighbor, bag of bells, item, miss a bug's or fish's 
hunting season
2. you get weeds and cockroaches
3. your game recognizes that you time traveled and punishes you. (the 
punishments vary from loss of a feather from the boondox that was expected in 
the mail, to the loss of a neighbor only to be replaced by someone like Rolf 
or 
Octavian.)
4. time goes on in animal crossing whether your there or not
5. you miss out on meeting a special visitor(like wendell), or you don't get a 
rare item.

WAYS TO GET MONEY THE CHEATER AND REGULAR WAY

CHEATER WAYS
1. GO TO NEW YEARS DAY, CHECK YOU'RE MAIL
2. FAST FORWARD TO WINTER TO MAKE SNOWMEN AND GET THE SNOWMEN SERIES
3. FAST FORWARD TO COLLECT SHELLS, FOSSILS, AND ITEMS TO BUY IN ABUNDANCE
4.FAST FORWARD TO A SPECIAL FISH OR BUG HUNTING SEASON TO HAVE A GOOD CHANCE  
TO GET A LOT OF MONEY
5. THAT'S ALL I GOT RIGHT NOW, SORRY!

REGULAR WAYS
1. collect fruit, shells, bugs ,fish, fossils, and buy great items
2. mail letters to neighbors using correct grammar with a peice of fruit 
attached as a present, they MIGHT give you a different fruit in return but you 
might have to try it a couple of times, plant the fruit, when it starts to 
bear 
it's own fruit sell it to get 500 bells per foreign fruit.
3. visit the recyclying bin and the lost and found for free items
4. sell items you don't want
5. talk to neighbors, sometimes they'll give you items, bells,etc.

GLITCHES
please note that sometimes the advice stated in this faq won't work, you can 
look on this site for more ways to make money, as well as other sites. 
sometimes  because you time travel you miss out on important things that are 
very rare, not to mention the weeds. there are remedies, such as wisp the 
ghost, who if you can find him might get rid of your weeds(I don't know much 
about wisp, as I've only read about him on various sites)

NOTE TO THE READER
I know sometimes it can be hard in the beginning, so you time travel. Or you 
become bored with your town, so you time travel. But think twice before you 
do, 
because sometimes the consequences can be great.
