1. INTRODUCTION
=================================================================
Hello. Welcome to my Sega GT Pocket Homo Translation Guide for the
Dreamcast. Pocket Homo is an A-Life type of Mini-Game that can be
downloaded from the main game (Sega GT), to your VMU (Visual
Memory Unit). You control an A-Life race car driver, and your main
goal is to make as much money as possible. You can then use the
money that you've made in the VMU mini-game, and upload in back onto
the main game, and use it in the main game on your Dreamcast. This
feature is the first of it's kind, and is original in it's own
right. I'm sure that future racing games will copy this feature in
their own games (GT 2000 anyone?). This translation guide will
"guide" you through the Japanese menus, and will help you through
the actual VMU game: Pocket Homo!

====================================================================
4. Uploading / Downloading
====================================================================

Downloading:
-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Downloading data is where you download VMU info from the main game
onto your VMU, if you have 128 blocks of free space. When you download,
you get to choose a car manufacturer (Subaru, Honda, Toyota, etc.) and
you'll get to become a race car driver for that company in your A-Life.
When you download, just think of it as "downloading" game info "down"
into your small VMU.

Uploading:
-=-=-=-=-=-
Uploading data is where you can upload your game VMU Pocket Homo data
from your VMU to the main game, and then you can use any money that
you have earned there in the main game. When you upload, just think
that you are putting data that you've downloaded from the game back
into the game.

====================================================================
5. Translation Guide
====================================================================

In Pocket Homo, you'll take the role of a race car driver in an
A-Life type of game, sorta like an RPG. You can download a game for
each sponser, although the game is exactly the same for each sponser,
so it really doesn't matter who you choose. The VMU Mini-Game takes
up around 128 blocks of space on your VMU, and can be worth your time
to play it. It's worth it because you are able to upload your VMU
A-Life data to the main game, and use any money that you've won in the
Mini-Game in the main game. It's taken me a while,(and quite a few
sets of batteries!), but I think I've finally found out what everything
means in the game, so here's MY translation of what's going on:

Race Terminology:

Heart: Represents the amount of lives you have in your race. You may
       also pick up extra hearts as you race.

Flag: Shows what position you are in during the race.

Clock: Shows the amount of time left in the race. You may also pick
       up extra clocks as you race to increase the amount of time
       you have to finish the race.

Start: A+B

Driver A-Life: Mini-Guide:
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
The Driver A-Life in Pocket Homo is very much like the A-Life in
Sonic Adventure. Your goal here is to collect as much money as
possible in order to excercise, which will increase your overall HP.
Racing also earns you money, but is hard to do. Try not to over-work
your Driver A-Life, or else he'll be sent to the hospital, so let
him rest every 2-3 workouts to be safe. Another great aspect of this
Mini-Game is that any money that you've earned in Pocket Homo can be
uploaded back into the main game, and can be used there. It's pretty
cool, and is original since this is new to the racing genre.

7. FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
====================================================================

1) Q: How can I download the Mini-Games?

   A: Go to the memory card option, then go to the Download option,
      then you will be able to choose a manufacturer, then you'll
      be able to download it to your VMU, provided you have enough
      space...

2) Q: How much VMU space does Pocket Homo use up?

   A: It takes up 128 blocks of space.

3) Q: How come my money drops?

   A: Because that means you are spending money, not winning it.
      This is probably because you are training (excercising),
      and that costs money.

4) Q: How can I make my HP rise?

   A: You can make it rise by working and excercising, but if
      you over-work or over-excercise, your HP will drop.

5) Q: Why does my HP drop?

   A: Because you are over-working or over-training your A-Life.
      Soon he'll be sent to the hospital, and you'll lose days.
