Introduction________________________________________ CTR: Crash Team Racing is the 4th installment of Crash and his friends on the Playstation game console, and its one of a kind! Crash has a new enemy he has never seen before. Can you handle the pressure that crash is under now? 2. Items______ _ _ Missiles- Normal- this item will lock on to the closest racer near you and give them a blast. With 10 wumpa fruit- have ten wumpa fruit will make the missile move faster and track even better. Bombs- Normal- you roll this item in front of you, and it can only move in a straight line. This item can also be rolled backwards by pressing down and circle. You can also detonate the bomb at any time after youve activated it and before it hits something by pressing circle. With 10 wumpa fruit- now the bomb will blast people within a larger radius. Shields- Normal- the green shield will protect you from any damage for a few seconds and then it will start to fade. With 10 wumpa fruit- the blue shield will stay with you until something hits you. (NOTE: Shield can be fired by pressing circle after they have been activated) Beakers- Normal- (green) this item can be either dropped behind you or thrown out in front of you by pressing circle or forward and circle. With 10 wumpa fruit- (red) this item has made the baker turn into a poison, after someone hits it will also slow him or her down by raining on them. Crates- Normal- (TNT) when a player runs into one of these it will be on their head and after a brief three-second countdown the big bang will occur tumbling the player. With 10 wumpa fruit- (Nitro) now the crate will blow up on contact, no questions asked. Masks- (either Aku Aku or Uka Uka) Normal- the mask will protect you for a few seconds. With 10 wumpa fruit- the mask will work for a longer period of time. (NOTE: Even the power of Aku Aku and Uka Uka cannot save you from deep water and chasms) Clocks- Normal- when this item is used all racers will be spun out and then undergo a few seconds of speed reduction. With 10 wumpa fruit- the speed reduction is even longer than the normal clock. Turbos- Normal- using this item will give you a speed burst. With 10 wumpa fruit- this will give you an even longer speed burst. Warp Orbs- Normal- this will give the racer in first place a hard time by giving him or her a blast. With 10 wumpa fruit- now this will track down and hit all of the racers in front of you. Super Engines- Normal- this will give you constant turbo speed for a few seconds. With 10 wumpa fruit- now youll get your turbo speed for a longer period of time. (NOTE: This item is only available in Battle Mode) Invisibility- Normal- when this item is activated nobody can see you, and missiles cannot track you down. With 10 wumpa fruit- when this item is used the player is invisible for a longer period of time. (NOTE: This item is only available in Battle Mode) 4. Gem Cups A gem cup is a collection of four (4) cups that the game combines into a cup, get the lowest place you can because depending on which place you come on you will get points. The points are as follows: 1st place = 9 points 2nd place = 6 points 3rd place = 3 points 4th place = 1 point 5th place = 0 points 6th place = 0 points 7th place = 0 points 8th place = 0 points If you are the winner of a gem cup you will win a gem. The color of the gem depends on which gem up you do. Here are the five gem cups and which tracks they have in them: Red Gem Cup Green Gem Cup Blue Gem Cup Crash Cove Roos Tubes Sewer Speedway Mystery Caves Coco Park Tiger Temple Papus Pyramid Polar Pass Dragon Mines Blizzard Bluff Cortex Castle N. CTR Challenge_ Collect the letters C,T, and R on each track and come in first place. But beware, some letters are hard to find! When this is accomplished you will be awarded a CTR Token. What I have written below will make the CTR Challenge portion of the game a cinch. Below I have listed where each letter is located on each track. Crash Cove- Red CTR Token C- on the abandoned ship at the top where you jump off. T- on the first and only bridge where you must jump up on the water. R- behind the first column you pass Order- RTC Roos Tubes- Green CTR Token C- on the second jump T- to the left of the skeleton bone tunnel R- on the first jump Order- RCT Sewer Speedway- Blue CTR Token C- on the jump between the pipes T- on the first jump to the right. R- on the left side of the tube shaped structure on the top Order TRC Mystery Caves- Red CTR Token C- in the middle of the first two jumps in the center T- on the second turn after the fireball jumps. R- to the right of the second fireball jump Order- CRT Dingo Canyon- Yellow CTR Token C- to the right off of the road on the first turn T- at the end of the island that creates two roads R- off of the track on the right side on the final jump Order-CTR Tiger Temple- Blue CTR Token C- on the first ramp T- on the side of the grass right before the C R- at the end of the secret tunnel suspended in the air Order- TCR Papus Pyramid-Red CTR Token C- on the platform between the gap on the second turn T- to the left of the steps on that path at the end. R- on the inside of the last turn before the finish line Order- CTR Coco Park- Green CTR Token C- at the beginning of the left wall T- at the end of the first bridge on the right. R- on the left off the track on the green hill right before the finish line. Order- CTR Dragon Mines- Blue CTR Token C- at the left in the water after the first turn T- on the twisty wooden structure (you must jump off) R- right after the T after the wooden structure between two poles. Order- CTR Blizzard Bluff- Red CTR Token C- to the right on the ice right before the finish line. T- to the right of the first jump before the jump. R- on the left before the house. Order- TRC Polar Pass- Green CTR Token C- in the middle of the intersection right after the start. T- on the BIG jump at the end of the track. R- on the second jump on the right. Order- CRT Tiny Arena- Yellow CTR Token C- coming around the turn after the mud T- over the mud on the third jump R- rounding the final turn to the finish line. Order-TCR Hot Air Skyway- Yellow CTR Token C- on the inside turn before the big jump T- on the last jump before the finish line on the right. R- on the big jump on the right side. Order- CRT Cortex Castle- Green CTR Token C- in the air between two roads T-on the last jump before the finish line. R- on the first jump to the right Order- RCT N. Gin Labs- Blue CTR Token C- on the second jump on the left T- on the side of the hole on the right R- on the third jump in the middle of it. Order- CRT Oxide Station- Yellow CTR Token C-on the small jump in the beginning T- on the BIG jump R- on the other big jump with the arrows pointing down. Order- CTR 7. 7. Bosses The boss of N. Sanity Beach is Ripper Roo. The weapon he uses is TNTs, and his track is Roos Tubes. The boss of The Lost Ruins is Papu Papu. The weapon he uses is beakers, and his track is Papus Pyramid. The boss of Glacier Park is Komodo Joe. The weapon he uses is TNTs and Nitros, and his track is Dragon Mines. The boss of Citadel City is Pinstripe. The weapon he uses is bombs, and hid track is Hot Air Skyway. 8. Time Trial I have very little information for this section, but check back from time to time for more.
