------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ WHERE AND HOW TO FIND THE MERCURY DJINN ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I: TABLE OF CONTENTS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I: Table of Contents II: Fog III: Sour IV: Chill V: Spring and Cascade VI: Steam VII: Rime VIII: Eddy IX: Gel X: Random XI: Balm XII: Serac XIII: Extra Notices ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ II: FOG ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Fog, the first Water/Mercury Djinni you get is located in the Kandorean Temple. To get to Fog, you need to have Lash first. In one room, you can see Fog. Use Lash on that rope to unwrap it and tie it to the stake at the ledge Fog is on. Fog is the first Djinni you will have to fight to get. Fog is weak to Fire, as all Mercury Djinn are. Fog has 165 HP, 14 PP, 32 ATK, 6 DEF, and 22 AGILITY. When and if you win, the party will get 28 EXP and 85 COINS. Whoever has Fog on Set will add 9 HP, 2 DEF, 2 AGILITY, and 1 LUCK. Fog's effect is: Blind an enemy with fog. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ III: SOUR ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To find Sour, your second Mercury Djinni, follow the road that leads north of Mikasalla and turn eastern when the road comes to an end. Walk back and forth on the green patch to find Sour. You may first get into enemy battles, but that's okay. Sour has 291 HP, 26 PP, 75 ATK, 19 DEF, and 57 AGILITY. If you win, your party will get 130 EXP POINTS and 152 COINS. Whoever carries Sour will get 8 HP, 4 PP, and 3 ATK added to their stats. Sour's effect is: Reduce a foe's resistance. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ IV: CHILL ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To get your third Mercury Djinni, Chill, walk north along the path from Gondowan Cliffs, go across the bridge west of Naribwe, head south along the river until you find bushes that bring the land out a little bit more east. You will find Chill in there. Chill has 414 HP, 37 PP, 124 ATK, 31 DEF, and 96 AGILITY, so I'd suggest healing at Naribwe before you take on this Djinni. The party earns 234 EXP and 282 COINS in victory. Whoever takes Chill will gain 10 HP, 3 PP, and 2 DEF. Chill's effect is: Strike to reduce a foe's Defense. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ V: SPRING AND CASCADE ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Spring and Cascade, the next two Mercury Djinn you earn are the easiest two you get in the game. You have to get them and without a fight. You earn them when Piers joins your party. Whoever holds Spring earns 11 HP and 5 PP, and whoever holds Cascade earns 9 HP, 3 DEF, and 2 LUCK. Spring's effect is: Restore HP with healing herbs. Cascade's effect is: Create a watery shield. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ VI: STEAM ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To earn your sixth Mercury Djinni, you need Parch. Steam is located in the Aqua Rock. To get Steam, use Parch to dry up the waterfall, then walk up the path until you see Steam. Steam is the hardest Mercury Djinni yet, so be prepared, and the work is worth it. Steam has 620 HP, 56 PP, 192 ATK, 54 DEF, and 159 AGILITY. Your party will gain 571 EXP POINTS and 457 COINS. Whoever is going to carry Steam will get 10 HP and 5 ATK. Steam's effect is: Increase all allies' elemental strength. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ VII: RIME ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To get Rime, you don't have to go through a battle (luckily!). Sail through the waterways of Lemuria to get to ancient Lemuria. Go as far southwest you can and cast Cyclone to reveal Rime. Rime will jump onto the watering goddess statue. Use Tremor to have Rime join your party. Whoever is holding Rime will have 10 HP, 2 DEF, 3 AGILITY, and 2 LUCK added to their stats. Rime's effect is: Seal a foe's Psynergy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ VIII: EDDY ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Eddy is one tough cookie, but if you heal and save before you battle him, I bet you've got a good chance of winning the battle. To get to Eddy, go to Shaman Village Cave. When you enter, go straight into the next room. Use Lift on the boulder to the far right, then the one that is one space to the left, then the same thing. Walk forward after lifting the last boulder you need to, climb up the footholds, hop to the next two ledges and get into a battle with Eddy. Eddy has 860 HP, 80 PP, 290 ATK, 83 DEF, and 237 AGILITY. After his defeat, your party will earn 989 EXP and 656 COINS, and whoever has Eddy on Set will earn 9 HP, 3 AGILITY, and 2 LUCK. Eddy's effect is: Speed up Djinn recovery time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ IX: GEL ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Gel, your nineth Mercury Djinni, you must go to Kalt Island. When you are there, go across the ice, then do as I say: down, right, up, left, up, right, up, left, up, right, up, left, down, left. You will now be on the snow again. Climb up the ladder and use Lash on the rope.. Climb across it, climb down the ladder, and you've got yourself a new Djinni. Gel's carrier will get 9 HP, 5 ATK, and 2 AGILITY. Gel's effect is: Weaken a foe's attack. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ X: RANDOM ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Okay, here's how random Djinni work, in case you don't know. The only way for them to appear is if you did NOT transfer your data from the original Golden Sun. The reason why they are random is because you can get any Djinni from the first Golden Sun depending on if its types match (ex: Mercury Djinni=a random Mercury Djinni from the first game). I can't tell you how to get this Djinni because, honestly, I don't know how. And of course, I can't tell you its stats or its effect. But I can tell you that it is located in the town of Prox. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ XI: BALM ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Balm is inside an ice room inside the Mars Lighthouse. In the ice room, Move the dragon statue left, so it'll slide that way. Then slide in the directions that I tell you: down, left, down, left, up, right, left, down, left, down, and up after you finish getting the Djinni. This Mercury Djinni is free. No battles. Just whoever earns Balm earns also 13 HP and 4 PP. Balm's effect is: Revive all downed allies (pretty stinkin' good!). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ XII: SERAC ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Serac, the final Mercury Djinni you can get in the game, is inside the Sea of Time Islet. In the second of the long, straight hallways, you'll see Serac on top of a pillar on the left-hand side of the hallway. Use Tremor and Serac is yours. Serac gives whoever gets lucky and has this Djinni on Set will have 12 HP and 3 ATK added to their stats. Serac's effect is: Strike a chilling finishing blow (this is practically the best Djinni in the game, so I suggest you use it on every Boss you have left to defeat, so have it on Set every time you are about to go into a Boss battle). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ XIII: EXTRA NOTICES ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ====================== THINGS TO LOOK OUT FOR ====================== Golden Sun Movie.
