Kiddie Medal
The small green and yellow object on the status screen under licenses is a license award given if you miss the bronze medal by .3 to .5 seconds. The game is selective when awarding the medal and it may take several attempts to earn one.

Motor Sports Land Track
Obtain all of the licenses, including the Super License and the Motor Sports Land track will become available in time trial mode on the arcade disc.

Ending Credits

Increasing Number Of Days
To easily increase the number of days in the game, just go to a race. When you are at the screen with the "Start Race" selection, go to "Exit" and your days will increase by one.

More Laps In Max Speed Test
To make your high speed increase during this test, turn around and drive backwards until you get your desired speed. Return to the correct direction and finish the race.

More Car Indicator
When you want to buy a car and you are browsing, make sure you look in the right hand corner of the screen. If an arrow points to the right, click on it to see more cars. This also works with some special models. (Example: Ford has four special models).

Finding Cars
If you cannot find a certain car in the used car lot, check back in about 10 days or more. The car you are looking for may be available. For example, the Mazda AZ- 1 appears only on certain days in the lot.

Easy Rally Racing
Buy the ESCUDO Pikes Peak version and use it to compete in any of the Rally Races to easily defeat your opponents.

Bonus Cars And Money

Buy a Mitsubishi 3000GT and enter it into the 4WD Race. After winning that race 
you will receive a car that is great but only worth 125,000 credits. It has great 
handling and speed. 

First, get a fast car like a Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak Version. Then, go to the 
Tuned-Turbo Challenge and enter the Test Course. If you win, you will get 
50,000 credits and a drag car that is worth 250,000 credits. You have to defeat 
the drag car to obtain it. The drag car does not corner very well, so take them 
slow.

Win the 4WD Challenge at Laguna Seca to receive a 618 hp custom car. Take 
that car to the Tuned-Turbo Challenge and enter the Test-Track race. You will 
win 50,000 credits and a car worth 30,000 credits for each 3-lap race that is 
won. The secret to winning on the Test-Track is in the corners. Stay smooth and 
off the walls/grass to pass the faster cars. Do not let them block your car, and 
drive defensively once in the lead. You will also need licenses to race. 

Get a powerful and fast car, such as the Nissan Skyline GT-R Vspec (R34.J) '99 
and tune it to the max. Then, get an International A license. Go to Special 
Events, go to Line Up 4, choose Tuned Turbo Car No.1 Race at the Test Course. 
Finish in first place to get 50,000 credits and a Skyline that is worth 30,000 
credits. Repeat this until you win a 250,000 Mine's HKS 180 SX (racing 
modified). Repeat again until you win a 13,750 Mines Lancer V (racing modified).

After wining all National races, race any of the Euro-Pacific races. Each win will 
give you 10,000 credits plus a 250,000 credit car.

Buy a used Nissan Skyline GTS-t Type M(R32,J) '91. Completely outfit it with all 
performance and handling upgrades (excluding "For Professionals Only" items). 
Enter "Grand Touring Cup" and win first in Midfield Raceway (about 4 minutes). 
You will receive 30,000 credits plus a 250,000 credit Unisia Jecs Skyline. Sell 
the car. Repeat this process four times to earn about 1,120,000 credits in under 
sixteen minutes.

Go to the "Muscle Car" event and enter the second race. Win this race to get a 
car worth 75,000 credits and 8,000 prize credits.

Race the 30 lap endurance race. Win first place to get 150,000 credits and a 
Supra race car worth 250,000 credits. A recommended car is the '91 Supra Twin 
Turbo R outfitted with sports tires, sports brakes, sports suspension, chip 
upgrade, stage 1 turbo, racing intercooler, racing exhaust, and stage 2 weight 
reduction. Note: The race will take approximately 50 minutes to 
complete.

Go to the Gran Turismo All-Star League and win the Laguna Seca race. You will 
receive 50,000 credits and the TVR Speed 12 which you can sell for 500,000 
credits. Getting the GT One On-Road from Toyota and putting a stage 4 turbo on 
it is recommended.

Race all of your licenses until you get all gold and a FTO LM. Take it to the Gran 
Turismo All-Star League. Race the Red Rock Valley twice and sell the car you win 
to end up with 1.1 million credits.

Add Your Own Car
You can add your own car to GT (disc1) by going to GT (disc2)and buying a car, saving it to your memory card, and then going back to GT (disc1) and loading your game.

Completion Percentage
In the status screen, you will see the amount of the game you have completed. If you win all the races in the GT league and events and endurace... your completion percentage is still around 55 and 60%. To get it up to 100%, you need to go to every city and to every brand of car, go to the event screen (if available) and then go buy the car needed and tune it up a little. Then go and race the race and then it will make your game completion percentage go up if you win!!

Easy to get credits with little work
Need credits for that fast car, well, I've found out that if you go into the luxury car races and go down to high speed ring, it gives you 10,000 credits for winning and it gives you a car worth 12,500. The best part is that you can keep racing this race over and over to get as many credits as you want plus it gives you the free car every time so at 22,500 a pop, thats not bad for just one race. The trick is to get a car with enough horses to keep up at the beginning of the race, then just ride the wall. The other cars are slowing down for the turn while you are just "slingshoting" by them on the wall. Believe me it works and its an excellent way to get credits without to much hassle.

Easy Money
Get the Escudo Pikes Peak Ver. go to Special Events. Then go to Gran Turismo All-Stars and race Red Rock Valley, you will get 50,000 for winning the race and a TVR Speed 12 which is worth 500,000 sell it and keep racing and within about an hour you will have 10 million credits to buy all those dream cars you want.

A Car For Mom
Go to Renault under West City and look in their special. You will find the Espace F-1. This is a tricked out minivan with 818 horsepower thats bound to smoke any car in its way. It costs an arm and a leg ( 2,000,000 dollars ) but its worth it.

Dirt Track Destroyer
After you have aquired $2,000,000 Travel up to East City and go to Suzki's special car. In the top corner there is an arrow, move your cursor up to the arrow and change your page. The Escuda, pikes peak version, should be shown. Delivering a astonding 981 horsepower not a lot can hang with it. (Best when used in a rally event)

Get Super NA Tuned Car
Go to the the GT all stars and go to Laguna Seca. If you win you get the TVR speed 12. Do all 3 stages of weight reduction to it and you will have a super car. Comparable to the escudo pikes peak version. It takes international A license but it's worth it. NOTE: if you don't do weight reductions your handling will be at a minimum, literally none

Get Fast Cars With Out To Much Frustration
Go to Honda and loom in used cars for a Honda Prelude '94 VTec. Then go to Speacial Events and go to the Sunday Cup. Under Sunday Cup go to Tahiti Road. You dont have to do much to win, all the cars in there are slow. If you win you get three thousand credits and a Mugen Accord. After you get enough money you buy a faster car to compete in all those other races. Hint: save the money up for a Viper GTS, then take it to all those ones you cant win with the Prelude. It works, I did it. :)

Fun For The Rich
If you are rich & wanna have some fun, make sure you have the Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car '97, if you don't you can get this in the Laguna Seca race of the Gran Turismo All Stars. Then tune it to the max, in this order: Turbo Stage 4 Engine Balancing Port Grinding Racing muffler Computer - Sports ROM Racing Slicks - Super Soft Gearbox - Fully customized service Weight Reduction Stage 1 Weight Reduction Stage 2 Weight Reduction Stage 3 (END) Then take it to the Tuned Turbo Car No. 1 Cup on page 4 of Special Events, and race on the Test Course (You will need an International-A Grade Licence). On the next menu, select Settings. Press L1 then go down to the gear settings. Press X on the bottom option (Auto gear) and put it completely to the right. It should be 30. Accept then go back into the race menu, and start the race. If you're a good driver you should have a steady speed of around 370km/h and get about 420km/h on the straights! If you win the race (which you almost definitely will) you will receive 50,000cr & either A) a RACING MOD Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R HKS Drag with 1011hp, you can sell for 250,000cr B) a Nissan Skyline 400R Tuned by Nismo with 393hp, you can sell for 30,000cr or C) a Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R Tuned by Mine's with 618hp, you can sell for 18,750cr You can do this again and again to get heaps of cash while travelling at speeds of over 400km/h!!!
