Instantly Return To Road
After crashing or driving off the road, press Select to instantly return to the road.

Drive Any Car In Any Tournament
Successfully complete all the tournaments. Additionally, select "Options" at the car selection screen to choose upgraded opponents.

Bonus Cars
Complete Hot Pursuit mode with each police car to get a new car (BMW M5, Corvette, Porsche, Caprice and Lamborghini).

Easy Cars And Money
Note: Two memory cards are required for this trick. To perform this trick with only one memory card, enter High Stakes mode and the game will search port one for a memory card before checking port two. If there is no card in port two, the game will prompt you to retry. Simply remove the card from port one and insert it into port two to have double the cars. You need to own at least one car and have enough money ($20,000) to buy a new car. Once this is accomplished, copy the Need For Speed 4 file to another memory card. While both memory cards are in the PlayStation, race in the High Stakes mode and have player two intentionally forfeit at the beginning of the race. Player one should now have two of the same car. Copy the saved data to the other card again and repeat. You can then sell all your cars for a large amount of money.

Easier Arrests In Hot Pursuit Mode
Turn your sirens off (L1 + Up) during a hot pursuit as the police and the speeder will slow down. Then once you are ready to arrest them, turn your sirens back on.

Extra Time In Hot Pursuit Mode
Do not enter a name to get more time in single player Hot Pursuit mode.

Turn Signal And Headlights
Hold L1 and press Left or Right to use the turn signals. Hold L1 and press Up to turn on the headlights. Hold L1 and press Down to turn on the hazard lights.

Easy Money
First,you ave to get at least enough money for two cars. Or have one and have $20,000 or more. You then go to two players, select high stakes, make sure you have one memory card in "or" two and press x. It should like say save game or something then push yes. Now it will ask for the memory cards. When it does it will something like memory card in slot 2 needs to be inserted. Put the memory card in slot 2 then it will either ask for slot 1 or go to the cars. If it ask for slot 1 just put it back in slot 1. Then you should go to the cars pick your car. Press start or x to race. Finally, it will ask for slot 1 or 2. Put in the slot it ask for until you can race or hear a engine rev up. When you finally race who ever you want to loose get the controller and press start and forfiet. THEN, finally you win blah, blah, blah. Now just repeat this and get better cars. Remember ALWAYS have $20,000 or more.

A Tip
This is a tip for gameshark users. Don't use the SLOT MODIFIER codes. They just lock up the game after the TRACK SELECT screen.

Get Past Road Blocks Easy
In hot pursuit mode, when you're getting away from the cops and they set up a tack strip or just a road block, go around to either the right or left. Or if you want to take a risk, go really fast toward the center of the road block, not the tack strip, or else you'll get arrested.

Porshe 911 Cop
Beat Hot Persuit on 1 player and you will get a Porsche 911 cop. Note: You get a different car on intermediate and expert.

Dounuts
( This hint is very tricky so it will take you a while to master ) First you stop your car, next you turn the wheels the way you want the car to go. Then you hit the gas until the car is going about 30 to 40Mph then you hold the hand brake ( o ) and the gas at the same time to make dounuts.

Turn On Your Signal And Headlights
To turn on your turn signal is to hold L1 and press left or right.To turn on your headlights hold L1 and press up.To turn on your hazard signal hold L1 and press down.
