Play As Spike
Successfully complete the game after finding all 297 monkeys. Highlight "New Game" at the main menu, then press L1 + Start to play as Spike from the original Ape Escape.

Beating Blue Monkey
To beat the blue monkey, or first boss you need to have the stun stick(beginning weapon) and dodge him when he charges at you. To do so you have to wait for him to charge and then quickly run to the side and jump it is hard to do but will work when correctly done. After dodging him you can attack him he will then drive away and you have to avoid him and repeat until he is defeated.

Beating Yellow Monkey
To defeat the yellow monkey you have to have your stun stick and you could also use your dash hoop, but not required. First when you begin he will either dash at you or try to attack you in different ways. Run to the side and double jump or use the dash hoop to evade him and attack him in the back to knock him in the spikes to hurt him. He will then make things drop from the sky or pound on the ground. You will have to do this over and over until he is defeated. But he will get away and you can't catch him.

Beating Singer Monkey
To beat the singer monkey you will have to use your stun stick. When you start there will be flowers floating on the river. Jump from flower to flower to get to her. She will sing and hearts will come out, if you are hit by a heart then you fall in love and get hurt, who ever said love doesn't stink. When you get to her then you have to slash her, she will blow you away and do it over until you beat her. She then will get even madder and you will have to avoid giant objects she tosses at you and avoid getting shocked from her pulse shield. When you get a chance to hit her slash her quickly. Repeat this process until you defeat her, catch her and complete the level.

Defeating Red Monkey
To defeat the red monkey you need your stun stick and maybe anything else. When you start he will bounce from the ropes and sprint towards you. Avoid him and wait until he charges up for a spin when he stops spinning he will be dizzy, slash him now. When he is hurt he will jump out of the ring and grab a T-Rex and slam him on the ring, avoid the damage wave and then repeat the process.

Beating White Monkey
To beat white monkey it is really easy. First he takes out a gaint stun club, which is easy to avoid. Next, to hit him, you have to wait until he is done with the super hoop. He will be dizzy, so hit his back. This will make monkeyman mad, and his shield will turn off for a few seconds. Use your super hoop to hit him because he is fast. Continue. After his helmet turns yellow, giant jimmy will use a flier too. He is really easy. He does not escape like Yellow Monkey.
