Scoring
There is no score in the game besides your ranking for each level. There are six different Ranks, S-A-B-C-D-E. However, for each level, you also receive a bonus life if there is any time remaining when you finish, and a bonus life for collecting all the shorts in one attempt (without dropping any off at the machine in between). There is no rank for the last Specter level of the Specter stages.
