Unlock Hard Mode
When you complete the game any new game play throughs will be harder. The current difficulty level is represented by crystals on the Main screen. Every game clear adds one crystal. When you get to 10 crystals it becomes a large crystal. The maximum you can get is 5 large crystals which is equivalent of the difficulty being increased 50 times.

Seraphic Gate
Successfully complete the game & save when prompted after the credits. A new option will be unlocked on the world map that allows access to the Seraphic Gate, you can replay it stronger enemies.
