Cheats

Create Your Own Apartments!

First, Create your Apartment Building/Buildings using the Special Door with the Doormat. Second, Open the Cheat Box (Shift+Ctrl+C) and Type "changeLotZoning apartmentbase" and Save. Now come back and the Mailbox should have changed. Note:Only Place Roof Lights, Plumbing, Appliances, and Counter Tops.

Turn Sim Aging On And Off

Enter: Aging [on | off]

Change Mode Tools

Enter: boolprop aptsublotspecifictoolsdisabled false
Lets you place objects outside the apartment and enables more tools. Set it back to true to turn it back on.

Make Game Faster

Enter: Vsync [on | off]
Note, if you screen messes up, turn it back on.

Open The Cheat Box

To open the cheat entry box, needed to enter most of the cheat codes, pres: Ctrl-Shift-C (all at the same time). Then enter the cheat codes you want.

Change Zoning

Enter: changelotzoning [residential | community | apartmentbase]
Enter the lot that you want - make sure nobody is living there, and you can rezone.

Print The Lot's Class

Enter: printLotClass

Change A Lot's Class

Enter: changeLotClassification [low | middle | high]
To clear a lot's class: clearLotClassValue

Get All Building Tools Available

Enter: boolProp aptBaseLotSpecificToolsDisabled false

List Helpful Cheats

Make Cheat Window Bigger

Place Floor Tiles Oustide The Lot

Enter: boolprop locktiles false
To turn the restriction back on, enter: boolprop locktiles true
