I will only be explaining controls during gameplay as menu controls are rather
obvious.

L & R Shoulder buttons: Used for switching clubs before swinging.

Up/Down D-Pad Buttons: Moves the camera up and down while controling the
camera with circle or triangle. Can be used to view the map from any height
you want. If you get low enough while viewing the green you can see the
slopes.
The down button is also used to drop grass before taking a shot to see which
way and how strong the wind is blowing when the wind direction box doesn't
tell you.

Left/Right D-Pad Buttons: Used for aiming your shot in the dirrection you press.

Left Stick: Used to look around your character's current position.

Triangle Button: Used to move the camera forward away from the player to view
the entire map as you wish.

O Button: Used to move the camera backwards towards the player.

X Button: Used to start a swing, select your power, and finally take a shot.
Also used to snap the camera back to your character if you are controling the
camera with circle or triangle.

Square Button: Used to switch swing modes from Normal to Power or
from Putt to Aproach.

Select Button: Pressing Select changes the camera to bird's eye view, use the
D-Pad to move around.
Pressing Select twice changes the camera to the landing point camera which
shows you the area where the ball would land.

Back Touchpad: Used to point at a specific location on the map and displays
the distance from your character to the point you've selected. Useful for
knowing how much power to put into your shot.

Front Touchscreen:
1. Pinch your character using both the front and back pads
to move your character around on your first shot.

2. Touch the camera button on the middle right side of the screen and move it
to a Camera Switch Icon to switch to different camera views, this is useful
for seeing the course through different angles.

3. Touch the landing spot cursor on your screen and it will show you a bird's
eye view of where your ball will land. From here you can drag the cursor
around to change the direction of your shot.

O=====================================================================O
[How to play and read the screen] [1.04]
O=====================================================================O

You may be a bit confused as to why there are so many different icons and
bars and all sort of other things, here you will learn how to read everything
to hopefully make this game a bit easier.

----Game screen during a round------------------------------------------------
Hole Data: Found on the top left of your screen. Displays the hole number,
current hole's par, total course distance from the tee to the cup, and current
shot number.

Current score: Found on the top right of your screen. Displays your current
score and the number of points earned.

Rank: Found on the top right. Displays your current rank on the course.

Elevation difference from cup: Found right under your current score.Displays
how much higher or lower the cup is from your current location.

Remaining distance: Found on the bottom left above club information. Displays
the distance from your current location to the cup.

Club Information: Found on the bottom left. Displays the current club in use
along with the estimated distance the ball will travel.

Shot Gauge: Found on the left side of the screen. Used to take a shot.
Different depending on which shot type you use.

Shot Mode: Found to the right of the Shot Gauge. Displays the current shot
mode you are using.

1. Ball Condition: Found on the bottom right corner. Displays a large ammount
of information about the ball.

2. The two bars on the top and right of the ball (Blue and Purple) tell you
how much the ball will spin depending on the current slope of the ball. If the
blue bar is down, the ball will fly higher. If it is up, it will fly lower.
The ball will spin left or right depending on where the purple bar is, left
if the bar is on the left, right if the bar is on the right.

3. The grass under the ball shows how sloped the ball currently is as well as
how deep the slope is by showing a pulsing light in the direction the slope
is facing the faster the pulse, the steeper it is.

4. The Percentages under the ball display the potential Minimum and Maximum
shot distance depending on how well you time your shot. A perfect impact will
be closer to the maximum percentage.

Switch Shot Camera: Found near the top right bellow the wind icon.
Used to switch the camera around to any direction you want.

Wind Icon: Top right under Rank. Displays the direction of the wind.
The lines move depending on the strenght of the wind.
The numbers under the icon show how the speed of the wind though a number
may not be displayed sometimes.

----Game screen on the green--------------------------------------------------

Ah, the ever so difficult green, this can make or break your game depending
how good you are at reading it.

Cup: Shown by a small triangle.

Grid: Displays the slope of the green. the dots will move left or right
depending on which direction the ground slopes. The dots move faster if the
slope is steep.
In the middle outlines you can see more dots moving up or down, these display
if the ground is sloped up or down. Red means up slope, blue means down slope.
Green means the ground is somewhat flat.
You must learn how to read the slopes appropriately in order to get shots into
the cup successfully, this usually takes a bit of practice as well as trial
and error. Practice mode is very helpful for practicing slopes.

      [Special shot controls] [1.07]
O=====================================================================O

Hot Shots golf has a variety of special shots that can help you get a better
score and reach the green faster.

Shot Mode: Pressing Square before starting your swing will put you into Power
Mode and will decrease your number by 1 after using it. Power mode will add 10
yards to your shot distance.

Extra Power Shot: After your loyalty level goes up you will be able to use
Extra Power Shot which adds even more distance to your shot than a regular
Power shot. To pull off a Extra Power Shot you have to tilt your PS Vita
towards you then pull it back to its original location as you make the shot
doing so will cause a blue streak to appear behind your ball rather than the
normal red streak.

Spin/Super Spin: Spins are helpful for getting around obstacles such as trees.
To perform a Spin hold down left or right at the point of impact. The ball
will spin in the direction you hold. To make a Super Spin shot press the
button opposite from the direction you want while setting your power then hold
the direction you want the ball to spin in at the point of impact and land a
pefect impact. If you fail to hit a perfect impact, the ball will just have a
normal Spin.

Top Spin: Top Spins will cause your ball to fly lower and roll more after
hitting the ground, this gives the ball a bigger run. To perform a Top Spin
hold the up button at the point of impact.

Super Top Spin: Super Top Spins fly lower than a normal Top Spin which allows
the ball to skip across water even better than a normal Top Spin. To perform
a Super Top Spin hold the down button while setting your power and hold
the up button at the point of impact and get a perfect impact. Failing to get
a perfect impact will give your ball a normal Top Spin.

Back Spin: Back Spins will cause your ball to fly higher and roll less after
hitting the ground, ideal for landing closer to the cup on the green to keep
your ball from rolling away. To perform a Back Spin hold the down button at
the point of impact

Super Back Spin: Super Back Spins fly higher and stop sooner when they land,
which means they have a smaller run. Super Back Spins will also spin
backwards when the ball stops on the green or fairway, this is ideal for
setting up shots on the green. To perform a Super Back Spin hold down the
up button while setting your power and hold the down button at the point
of impact and get a perfect impact. Failing to get a perfect impact will give
your ball a normal Back Spin.

Spiral Shot: Super Side Spin shots that hit the pin become Spiral Shots that
spin around the pin like crazy and down into the hole. Hitting the pin too
high up may make your ball not land inside the cup.

Homing Shot: Balls with Super Back Spins that hit the pin become Homing Shots.
They bounce off the pin and roll back into the cup.

Rising Shot: Balls with Super Top Spins that hit the pin become Rising Shots.
They roll up the pin and fall straight down into the cup.

      [Crowns List] [1.11]
O=====================================================================O

Crowns allow you to unlock more VS courses against characters to unlock
alternative costumes for them.

Course 1-1: Win with Over 2,000 Points!
Courses that have point requirements usually force you go get bogeys on almost
every hole but you do have some breathing room if you can get GIRs and
wonderful shots. Practice the course as much as you can if you are having
trouble with this crown.

Course 1-2: Win with at least one Rising Shot!
Refer to Special Shot Controls to see how to perform a Rising Shot.
Try and get as close as possible to a cup, preferably around the fringe or
just as close as you can without going in the green. Ai

Course 1-3: Hit GIR in 1 stroke on Par 4 and win!
Bring an expert player with a lot of power so you can get a better drive
and aim for the green on either hole 2 or 3.

Course 1-4: Keep hitting GIR and win!
Bring an expert player for this too as you have to get GIR on every hole
to win this one. To land GIRs you need to land on the green on your first
shot on par 3, second shot on par 4 and third shot on par 5 courses.

Course 1-5: Win with at least 3 Bogies!
This is a somewhat confusing requirement right? They want you to get at
least 3 bogies and win, which means getting +1 in at least 3 holes. Find 3
holes you can get biried in to negate the scores the bogies will give you
and just get pars on the remaining courses, or birdies if you can for a win!

Course 1 - VS & 1 - VS2: Win with at least one Eagle!
Bring an expert character that can get into the green quick and find a hole
you are comfortable with getting to the green quicker.2

Course 2-1: Keep a Perfect Impact Rate over 50% and Win!
Bring a character with high control and impact to make this a lot easier
on you. Isabelle or another novice character is ideal for this course.

Course 2-2: Keep a Fairway Rate of 100% and Win!
Another simple course, just land on the Fairway on every course and win.
If you are having trouble with this one just practice the holes you cant
100% in practice mode until you get the hang of them.

Course 2-3: Put Spin on Every Ball and Win!
Refer to Special Shot Controls to see how to perform a spin.
This is another simple course, just put a spin on EVERY shot you take.

Course 2-4: Win with Over 2,000 points!
Courses that have point requirements usually force you go get bogeys on almost
every hole but you do have some breathing room if you can get GIRs and
wonderful shots. Practice the course as much as you can if you are having
trouble with this crown.

Course 2-5: Win without Using Spin Shots!
Another simple course, avoid using any Spin Shots and win!
This includes Top and Back Spins

Course 2 - VS & 2 - VS2: Complete Victory in the first 3 Holes!
This one may be difficult. Practice the first three holes until you can
get bogies on each one.

Course 3-1: Win with at least one Putt over 30ft(Par or better)!
Find a hole with a flat green that you can putt without too much trouble.
You can use practice mode to find the one you are comfortable with.
Practice makes perfect with this one!

Course 3-2: Win with at least one Pin shot!
To get this crown you have to hit the pin on a hole at some point in the
game. Find a hole you can get a Rising Shot on without much trouble if
possible. This may take a bit of practice to get down but is the best way
of completing this.

Course 3-3: Win with at least 3 Birdies in a Row!
It would be ideal to find 3 holes you are comfortable with getting Birdies
in and practicing them in Practice mode until you can 100% Birdie them
each time! Practice makes perfect!

Course 3-4: Stay Off the Rough and Win!
Play through the course once and note the holes you have trouble avoiding the
rough in and practice those in Practice mode until you are comfortable with
the holes.

Course 3-5: Win with at least 3 Birdies in a Row!
It would be ideal to find 3 holes you are comfortable with getting Birdies
in and practicing them in Practice mode until you can 100% Birdie them
each time! Practice makes perfect! You have 18 holes to work with that should
give you a lot of choices to work with!

Course 3 - VS & 3 - VS2: Sink All Holes with 1 Putt and Win!
Practice the first 3 holes to get a complete victory on this course and avoid
having to drag the game any longer. Try and get your ball to land as close to
the cup as you possibly can on every hole. You only have 1 Putt per hole to
