1. Walkthrough

Mako Reactor 1    BOSS: Guard Scorpion     ITEMS: Pheonix Down , Potion

After you hop off the train you should follow the other guys to the Reactor.  When 
inside the Reactor Barret ( the guy in a white tank top) will join you're to be 
party.  Just follow Jessie until you reach the blast doors.  Talk to both Jessie and 
Biggs to open the doors.  Continue on doing this until you reach the elavator.  Pull 
the switch and head into the heart of the Reactor.  Once on the platform Cloud will 
be forced to set the bomb.  And no you didn't miss anything , the voice of Sephiroth 
that Cloud hears is a miserable part of his memory and takes place later.  Anyways 
after setting the bomb a timer should appear.  Go back through the elavator , talk 
to Biggs to open the blast doors and head back.  After climbing the ladder you will 
see Jessie.  Talk to her to free her leg which is stuck. After that continue out 
until you are faced with the Guard Scorpion.

Just keep attacking this boss with magic until Cloud warns Barret about attacking 
while his tail is up.  When his tail is up , it will counter attack when you attack 
it.  Just sit and wait until he returns to his origanal position and attack some 
more.  Do this a few times and you have beaten the Guard Scorpion.

After the fight with Guard Scorpion , quickly leave the Reactor.  The graphics will 
increase a lot (compliments of Squaresoft) and it will show the team jumping out of 
the Reactor just as the bomb blows.
