      INTRODUCTION

It's been over two months since I last wrote an FAQ, three if you count the fact
I let my youngest sister, Erica (Yushira/Dragon Princess) write my last two FAQs
(Death Trap and Will: Death Trap 2) and I just formatted it for posting it for
GameFAQs. I'm not completely back yet but I want to get at least one more in
before this year is over. That's where Battlefield 4 comes in and what better
system to FAQ it for than the newly released Playstation 4. I'm working only on
the Solo Campaign mode here. Multiplayer, you're on your own for that.

       OVERVIEW
o---------------------o

Battlefield 4 is the genre-defining action blockbuster made from moments that
blur the line between game and glory. Fueled by the next-generation power and
fidelity of Frostbite" 3 Battlefield 4 provides a visceral dramatic experience
unlike any other. Only in Battlefield can you demolish the buildings shielding
your enemy. Only in Battlefield will you lead an assault from the back of a gun

I wrote everything down prior to making this FAQ so you will notice I have the
strategies for the final level (Suez) while Kunlun Mountains and Tashgar are
still being typed up.

=======================================BAKU=====================================

You are in a wrecked vehicle underwater with your comrades Pac, Irish and your
commanding officer Sgt. Dunn. Unfortunately, as the vehicle sinks Sgt. Dunn has
no hope of escape as he is pinned down hard in the wreckage. He gives you his
gun and orders you to shoot out the window to save yourself and the others. The
moment you do so, time flashes back to moments prior to the crash which you will
play out the scenario leading to it.

Run down the halll and head for the safe house. Pac will catch you off guard and
almost shoot you in the face. Dunn also comes in and spooks him. Check the crate
for the weapons. Go the window and Irish will jump out the window across the
street. Protect him from all hostiles by killing them from where he says they
are coming from. Once all is clear, Irish will climb into the safehouse. Move
ahead and when you see daylight, aim for the door and shoot whoever comes out of
it. Drop down and run to the door but turn around and shoot the enemies coming
from behind (below where you used to be). Don't go in that door I stated earlier
but go in the side room and throw a grenade as you will pre-emptively attack any
enemies coming out and blow some of them up as well. Rush in when you hear the
word "Clear" then drop down into a red painted room. Use a explosive weapon to
blast through the wall.

Firebird chimes in and tells you to get on the roof and don't keep her waiting.
Dunn has you scan the area. Do so until you see a truck with orange traces that
are coming from it. These are enemy soldiers that dropped down from it. Your new
objective is to reach the factory roof. Run down the right side and flank them.
Kill the remaining ones in the back and a copter will rise and this must be
Firebird. She states there are multiple heat signatures ahead. Deal with all
the enemies from afar. Press the indicated button to Engage and send the copter
after the enemies. The next set of enemies lob grenades. Watch out for those.
Stay back as far as possible and let Firebird take out most of the work when she
is ready to be sent out and take cover and get rid of the rest of the enemies.
You know when it is clear when Firebird confirms it and says push on. In the
meantime, she will remind you if there are more enemies arriving and that is a
lifesaver.

Run into the pipe to end up in a building. When you get to the exit pipe, be on
your toes. The enemies are now shooting RPGs that cause Firebird to fall back.
Kill everybody on the ground then kill everyone on the catwalk above. They are
still lobbing grenades at you so be on the move at all times. When it is all
clear follow your squad into the factory. In the elevator, you get a message
from Firebird that there is hostile air. Everyone ducks down and gets knocked
out of the elevator onto the catwalk. Run down the catwalk like crazy and run
up the stairs. Run onto the roof and get to the chopper. Too bad, you won't be
able to board it as Firebird and Hawkins lose control and two enemies show up
to be killed by you. The building falls apart and Firebird's copter crashes as
you and Dunn fall down but are still alive but Dunn's leg is crushed. A driver
comes in and the soldiers commandeer the vehicle. You cut off Dunn's leg and
carry him into the vehicle. Follow the onscreen instruction on how to drive
and head for the secondary extraction point. Follow the road wherever it takes
you and the enemy copter will still harass you. Irish gives you a grenade
launcher and you blast the helicopter to kingdom com but you also end up taking
a plunge into the water thus bringing us back to the present. Everyone except
Dunn swim to shore and Dunn dies a noble death.

=====================================SHANGHAI===================================

After crashing the car, the crew heads down an alley and Pac breaks a lock. When
he is done, follow him and Irish to a yellow ladder and go up. You will see a
Chinese politician speaking on the big screen on a building. When you get to
another ladder, go down and run across the right side of the fountain and go up
the stairs leading to the hotel. When you try to go into the hotel lobby, you'll
notice that it is closed meaning you will have to break in another way. Go to
the
right side of the building and the door is open here.

Your new objective is to reach the VIPs. Follow the gang to the elevator and hit
the button and go inside. Pac hands you a UMP-45. During the elevator ride, you
and the gang end up on the wrong floor and open fire on the people inside before
heading up another floor. Open the crate for weapons. Move forward and get ready
to round the corner but stay low for now and wait for two of the enemies to go
up the stairs then sneak up on the the initial enemy and stealth kill him then
quietly head to the outside and up the stairs and flank the other two. Their
comrades will come down the stairs inside. Deal with them as you fight your way
up those stairs. There will be several people to kill so mark them as you go for
engagement. You'll get the word that they are all gone. Go up the stairs and the
door is locked. Pac will attempt to disable the security system. You will see a
copter outside. Go downstairs and get some claymore and prepare for another gun
battle. Place Claymore near the stairs so you can blow up anybody who tries to
charge in. The door won't open till you hear Irish say you're clear. Head back
up the stairs and into the room.

Go inside the elevator upstairs and once up there, you will hear an explosion.
You initially think that the mission was a failure after rounding the corners
and the VIPs got blown up but fortunately Kovic had switched rooms and the VIPs
are alive. Hannah introduces herself and her husband whom is wounded. Kovic says
to commandeer a copter on the roof. Head for the stairwell and you will be in a
red area. Go up the stairs and  and quietly highlight all enemies then start
blasting everyone as you try to secure the copter. You will be notified when it
is all clear. Get inside the copter and the husband gets shot. Shoot all of the
enemies that attack. Amidst the firefight, the copter had made a getaway. Move
around the area killing any remaining enemies looming around after the initial
firefight stopped. Go down the stairs in the red room and go into the elevator.

Next objective is to reach the Waterfront. After exiting, Garrison says exit is
still not possible with the copter outside and you must reach the ship in 30
minutes but you are not timed for this. He says the quickest way out is east. No
choice here but to fight it out. Once you get on the outer fountain, more of the
enemies will be lowered from the copter. You can kill most of them easily by
launching a grenade where they land then kill the survivors. Run down the alley
to the west and a tank will come out. Double back and cut a left into another
alley and kill the enemies at the end of it. Keep pushing forward while avoiding
the tanks blasts where you see open space. Eventually, you and the gang reach a
couple who are hugging and ask for your help reaching the river.

Follow the couple to their safehouse. Chen says there are tanks outside and you
must find an anti-tank explosive. Head outside and run across the catwalk and go
down the stairs. Follow the map marker to the weapons crate full of Claymore, C4
M16 AT Mines and M2 Slam. Grab whatever explosive you prefer and you have two
options. Lay some mines in spots where the tank won't see them or get onto the
roof and toss explosives onto it. The first option is dangerous as the tank will
actually try to rolling over them. A good strategy is to place the mines close
together in a zig zag pattern so the tank will not be able avoid being blown up
at least once. It takes at least two explosives to destroy the tank. After it is
destroyed, you have to deal with a second tank. Destroy that one and head to the
boat. Get to the port and board the boat. A copter gets destroyed by an  EMP
blast and crashes in the water but luckily no one onboard the boat is hurt. The
signal however is jammed though. Irish orders the other boats to follow the one
ya'll are on to get to safety.

=================================SOUTH CHINA SEA================================

You awaken in your bed with another Marine talking to you. After the convo is
over, your objective is to find Irish. The place is a maze of sorts but the best
way to find him is to run up to the guys chatting then turn left and open the
door at the dead end to go outside. Go downstairs on the right and into the deck
there. You'll know when you are on the right path when you pass by a briefing
then eventually you'll run into Pac. Hannah is trying to get in to see her hubby
and Pac lets her in. All you got to do now is wait for Pac to open a door and he
will lead you to Irish. Now you are to meet Garrison. Follow the two to the door
and open it. As you continue to follow Irish and Pac, an alarm goes off. A ship
has been blown up. It is the Titan. Garrison calls out to Tombstone and he wants
the three of you go with him. He assigns Kovic as leader and now it is time to
search the Titan for Intel and survivors. Gather whatever weapons you want to
use and move out and man the boat.

Drive on towards the Titan and circle it, there seems to damage from a Chinese
anti-ship missile. Drive into the hole. Follow the crew till they stop to talk.
You are looking for Hatch G46 which is to the left of where ya'll stopped. Go
inside and up the stairs and turn right and open the door and there is G46 right
there on the ground in front of the marked door. The four of you dive into the
water and swim towards the DCC. After getting out of the water, open the doors
as you come across them and you will come a cross a room with trapped sailors.
Kovic wants to leave them to die like the punk he is. Turns out they were locked
in that area in the first place. Head around to the next room and cut around the
corner and take out the hard drive. Kovic takes it.

Time to exit the Titan. Kick down the door and start blasting the enemies inside
the next room. Be careful, it's dark in there. In the next room the ship will
split apart. Continue shooting the enemies you see. Fight your way to the end of
the ship and dive into the water and swim to the boat. Now you got to get back
to the Valkyrie as you use the cannon to blast the enemy ships as you start to
catch up to the ship behind the Valkyrie. As soon as you get close enough, that
ship gets destroyed. Now drive towards the Valkyrie itself and shoot down some
copters and drive into the hull of the ship. Run up the slope and shoot the
enemies inside. Take cover whenever possible. The enemies have powerful guns.
When the enemies are all dead, meet up with the gang and open the door and run
your way to the outside area. Run into the open area up the stairs and get some
weapons in there namely the anti-air weapons and take out them copters with them
then run to the back and open another door and prepare for another firefight.
As you get closer, look to the far left and more enemies will drop down. It's
all clear when Kovic says push on. Restock on weapons before moving on. Open
the door and follow your men inside. Hannah whooped some serious ass in there.
Good job Hannah. She joins the fight and it's time to head for the outside. Mark
the enemies. A blast will knock you off your feet momentarily. Throw some well
placed grenades to kill most of the enemies then shoot the rest. Give Kovic a
hand so he can climb the ladder. Kovic gets hurt on the way up. The RPG is the
best weapon to take out the copters. There are four of them.

Just like Dunn before him, Kovic dies a noble death and has a few parting words
to get to Garrison and says Hannah can be trusted. He names Recker (you) the
leader of the operation. Run in the hall and kill everyone inside and Hannah
tells Garrison everything is clear. Tombstone now belongs to you. The level
ends here.

=====================================SINGAPORE==================================

There's a convo between Garrison and Pac. Hannah is now an official member of
Tombstone it seems. Garrison discusses the next strategy for action. Irish is
against Hannah going. Board the speedboat. Drive towards the Airfield. Drive up
there quickly because you will be under fire before reaching shore and you will
have to hit the ground running and shooting. Take cover as much as possible and
mark the enemies to know where they are. You will also go against a tank or two.
When it is all clear, run forward towards the highway where cars block your path
but a friendly tank will clear the way for you. Run down the right side of the
open field and wipe out the enemies on the bridge ahead and on the ground. Some
will drop down near where you stand so be ready to pick them off. When clear,
the tank will push on. This will be a long fight and route. Eventually, some
type of concussion wave will disable some the driver of your tank. Now it's your
turn to man the tank and clear the way. Shoot at the other tanks and soldiers on
the ground. Make your way to a mall area. If you lose your tank, get out of the
vehicle and look at your minimap for the weapons crate marker. It'll be located
in the mall up the escalator. You will need some anti-armor weapons to take out
any tanks coming near. You can fight the tanks safely from above. Drop down and
run for the airfield.

More tanks will appear in the grass field as you hear the words Hostile Armor
straight ahead. These guys are relentless and they seem to only target you. The
best strategy here is to run back into the mall and take a stance from the top
of the catwalk where the weapons crate is and while the tank will not go inside,
you can shoot at it from afar with anti-armor weapons. Push on and another tank
is ahead. This time you got safe cover unlike last time when you had three tanks
to deal with at the same time. After taking out this tank, take out the ground
enemies with a sniper rifle since it's easier to see them ahead. When it is safe
to move, make a break up the stairs and fight your way up some more stairs. Drop
down into the building through the left and start blasting. After an argument,
help Irish move some boards and run on in and make your way to inside the bus
and shoot the enemies while taking cover inside the bus. When clear, follow the
squad to the next area and hope over the small wall and a car will pin you into
the wall and the others try to unpin you. When your arm is free, shoot at the
enemies ahead. When they are dead, the others try again to free you but a ship
will crash into the bridge and knock you all into the water.

Swim out of the water and you will see two hostiles talking to each other. Take
them out and reload your weapons nearby and enter the sewer. Run to the end of
the sewer and go up two ladders and restock if needed. The door hear leads to
the airfield. Time to reach the Target Area. Take cover and start blasting. The
enemies will be coming from everywhere so be on your guard here. Get on the top
level for a vantage point. You would have to go up here anyway so take out all
the remaining enemies and head to the end of the path and up more stairs. Don't
be so hasty to shoot just yet. Walk down three flights of stairs and mark the
enemies first. Now it's time to fire at will hopefully with long-ranged weapons.
Once you are safe, run out the door ahead and get into the vehicle as the flare
is launched. The vehicle has a hard time starting so shoot the enemies coming
out the back of a truck and the vehicle starts and everybody makes almost clean
getaway. Pac seems to be dead and Hannah comes in and it turns out she was a spy
and you and Irish get knocked out. THAT BITCH!!! DAMN HER!!!

This is it guys, this is the final solo mission of the game so make it count.
The Valkyrie and all of its occupants are in trouble and you must save them.
After landing on the catwalk, I suggest you get a lot of explosive weapons as
you will be facing some helicopters, snipers, and several soldiers with Grenade
Launchers. Snipers are located on the tower, use a weapon with a scope to take
them out. The ones with Grenade Launchers will be on the ground. After you have
taken everybody out as much as you can, run up the left side and up a chopper
that had been previously downed to get onto the tower. Refill whatever ammo you
need and kill everyone on the tower and if there are anymore survivors below,
go back and finish them off. While all this is going on, there is a helicopter
in the area that is making life hell for you. Soon you will get a message that
says you got hostiles incoming. Use the Anti-Air such as the Stinger to take
care of the copter and once you have killed everyone, you will get a message
that everything is clear and go find Cpt. Garrison.

Follow Irish and Hanna to the inside of the ship deck. Run through the deck and
open the doors. Avoid the burning wreckage. You know when you get where you
needed to go when you get caught off guard by Pac who is relieved to know that
it is you. Follow the squad to the back of the ship. There is no need to shoot
anybody on the way until you reach a spot where Pac throws in a smoke grenade
and that's when it is safe to go in and open fire. Kill everyone in sight and
you'll hear someone say "We're clear." Open the door where everyone is gathered
and follow them inside to find Cpt. Garrison and Jie Jie. Jie Jie is wounded
and wants to convince the enemies to let the enemy squad lay down their arms.
He sends you to open the door and you get knocked down. Jie Jie convinces the
enemy soldiers to stand down then Chang fires a missile at Valkyrie.

Your new mission is to sink Chang's Warship. Follow the others to the C4. Get in
the speedboat. Pac stays behind while you, Hannah, and Irish make it out to the
warship while under fire. Sit back and enjoy the ride until the speedboat gets
knocked over momentarily. The speedboat manages to maneuver into the warship's
blind spot.

The bomb has been planted, the three of you grapple onto the hangar above and
time to blow this sucker out of the water. Uh Oh! The detonator's not working.
Damn it! This is not good. Hannah offers to sacrifice herself with the extra C4
bomb you have on hand while Irish butts in and says to give it to him instead.
What to do? What to do?

From this point you have three choices to make, you can either give the C4 over
to Hannah or to Irish. Whoever you choose will descend upon the ship and tells
you to blow up the detonator thus killing him or her. If you stall for too long,
the Valkyire will be destroyed and the remaining team members will be killed.
The ending will play either way but it's a shame that someone has to die in the
end.
