THERE ARE A MILLION STORIES IN LIBERTY CITY. THIS ONE CHANGES EVERYTHING. ONCE
A TRUSTED WISE GUY IN THE LEONE CRIME FAMILY, TONI CIPRIANI WAS FORCED INTO
HIDING AFTER KILLING A MADE MAN. NOW HE'S BACK AND IT'S TIME FOR THINGS TO BE

The streets of Liberty City are in turmoil. Warring Mafiosi vie for control as
the town begins to self-destruct under waves of political corruption, organised
crime, drug trafficking and union strikes. No-one can be trusted as Toni tries
to clean up the mess of the city's chaotic underworld. Deraged hit men, morally
depraved tycoons, cynical politicians and his own mother stand in his way as
Toni tries to bring the city under Leone control.
Forced to fight for his life in an odyssey that will shake Liberty City to its
foundations, Toni must use any means necessary to secure his place in the
leadership of the Leone family in a town up for grabs.

This is a guide to help players locate all 100 Hidden Packages that are
scattered throughout Liberty City. Some are in places you wouldn't even think
of checking and they are one of the hardest objectives to complete if a player
is looking to obtain a 100% save file.

There are 100 Hidden Packages around Liberty City. As the name suggests, they
are 'hidden' and can be extremely difficult to find. A hidden package looks
like a hand, with the index and little finger up, and the middle and ring
fingers pressed against the palm of the hand:

They are surrounded by a white, 'glowing' ring and for every ten packages that
you collect, you receive a reward. The following section is a detailed
walkthrough of each package and how to get it.
For every 10 packages you collect, you receive a weapon bonus. This weapon will
then appear outside your safehouse.

I. Hidden Package 1

Location: In a cabin situated on the north-east pier of Portland
From the hospital, go north and make a left turn. Make a right turn onto the
street with Ammu-Nation. Continue along this road, following it as it curves
around. You should see the ferry station ahead of you now. Continue to follow
the road around and take the second right. Go to the end of this road and look
to your left. In the cabin, you should see a small illuminated package. Walk
into the cabin and into the package to claim it.

II. Hidden Package 2

Location: Gravel pit situated in the north-east part of Portland
Head over to Staunton Island get a boat from the east side of the island. Jump
in and go north. You should be going straight between Portland and Staunton
Island now. Continue going north until you see this on the map:

When you see this, go past it and make a right. Continue along the shoreline,
looking towards it as you go. You should easily see a large gravel pitch with
the hidden package floating on it. Accelerate the boat towards the gravel pit
to beach it before jumping out and claiming the package.

III. Hidden Package 3

Location: On a rock (out to sea) in the north of Portland
Location: Gravel pit situated in the north-east part of Portland
Head over to Staunton Island get a boat from the east side of the island. Jump
in and go north. You should be going straight between Portland and Staunton
Island now. Continue going north until you see this on the map:

When you see this, go past it and make a right. Continue along the shoreline
and look ahead of you. You should see a small rock ahead of you. Go towards
the shore, turn around and accelerate to beach yourself on the rock. Get out
and follow the winding "path" around. You should come across the package
floating about three quarters of the way around. Walk through it to claim the
package.

IV. Hidden Package 4

Location: Behind the car crusher in Portland
Go north from the hospital and make a right turn, followed by a left turn into
Saint Marks. Follow this road along until you enter Harwood. You should see the
garage on your left, the car shop on your right and the car crusher ahead of
you. Go down to the car crusher. Get out of the car and go round the right hand
side. You should see a Perennial ahead of you. When you see this, look right
and there should be a package between two bars. Jump over the bar to claim the
package.

V. Hidden Package 5

Location: In the vicinity of the dirt track, Portland
Go north from the hospital and take the first left. Go all the way along this
road and then make a right onto the main road. Go along th is road and follow
the road as it goes around. You should see a system of much smaller roads,
indicated on the radar by thinner lines. This is the dirt track. Get out of the
car and find the gap to walk through.
Go to the south part of the dirt track and get beneath the elevated train
tracks. Walk along the grass beneath them. You should eventually climb a mound.
When you fall down from the mound, you fall into a small gap between that
mound and another mound. The package is located here. Walk through it to claim
it.

VI. Hidden Package 6

Location: At the end of a seawall in the north-east of Portland
Go north from the hospital and follow this road the entire way along. Take the
final right turn and go up the little bit of main road before going onto the
dirt track. Go right and then left through the gap before accelerating across
the railtracks and crashing into the fencing to break it down. Drive around the
base of the hill.
Look at your radar now. When you are on this particular stretch of shoreline:

Once here, you are on the right lines. Look at the seawall - if you are facing
east it should be on your left. Follow it along and when it ends, there is
a small gap between the seawall and the grass. The hidden package is here.
Walk through the package to claim it.

VII. Hidden Package 7

Location: On top of the garage roof in Harwood, Portland
In order to get to this location, simply drive north from the hospital and you
will see the garage on your right.
This is an incredibly difficult package to get. Below is a diagram of the area
where the package is:

The strategy I used was to park the back wheels of an ambulance (stolen from
the hospital) on the low wall surrounding the garage. I was only able to get it
to stay up there whilst it was at a slight angle. If this happens, then run
against it and it should rest with the back wheels either on the wall or over
the wall. Either way, you will notice you have a good platform to run and jump
on to the roof. Jump up on the bonnet of the ambulance, then on the roof. Once
here, use the L button and analog stick to position yourself correctly (in
order to have a good run up). Run forward and jump just before reaching the
edge. You should jump up and onto the roof. Walk through the package to claim
it.

VIII. Hidden Package 8

Location: "In" a broken down car behind 8-Ball's Bomb Shop in Harwood, Portland
Go north from the hospital and take the final right turn. Go up the little bit
of main road ahead of you before going straight up the dirt track and making
a right. Go to the right of 8-Ball's Bomb Shop, which is ahead of you at this
point. Walk straight ahead and you should see the illuminated package ahead of
you. Jump on top of the broken down car and walk through the package to claim
it.

IX. Hidden Package 9

Location: Behind two cabins at the construction side in Hepburn Heights,
Portland
Drive north from the hospital and take the second left. Make an immediate
right turn followed by an immediate left turn. Follow this road around and make
a right turn into the construction site. Look to the north-west and you should
see two cabins. Go around the back of these cabins to find the package. Walk
into the package to claim it.

X. Hidden Package 10

Location: On top of a shed roof beside your safehouse, Portland
Get an ambulance from the hospital and drive to your safehouse. Simply back
the ambulance up against the little roof on the right once you drive in. Jump
on the bonnet, then the roof, then the cabin and collect the package.

XI. Hidden Package 11

Location: On the end of a rock jutting out to sea, Portland
Go north from the hospital and take the first right into Saint Marks. Follow
this road along before taking the dirt track into the mansion (Salvatore's
mansion). Get out of your car and go through the bollards and straight ahead.
Jump over the barricade and run straight ahead (you should be facing in a
south-east direction. You should now see the rock ahead of you. Carefully
go onto the rock and go forward. Right at the end of the rock is the hidden
package. Walk through it to claim it.

XII. Hidden Package 12

Location: On a cliff-face beneath the grassy ledge near Salvatore's mansion,
Portland
Go north from the hospital and take the first right into Saint Marks. Follow
this road along before taking the dirt track into the mansion (Salvatore's
mansion). Instead of following the track, go straight forward onto the grass.
Get out of your vehicle and use the L button and analog stick to look beneath
you whilst you are standing at the edge of the ledge. You should see the hidden
package beneath you. Walk down, retrieve the package and walk back up the cliff
again.

XIII. Hidden Package 13

Location: On the lighthouse island to the east of Portland island, Portland
Go to Staunton and steal a boat. Drive to the lighthouse, which is the small
island to east of Portland. Once there, dock the boat and jump out on to the
rampway. Run half way up the ramp and look to your left to see the package.
Walk into the package to claim it.

XIV. Hidden Package 14

Location: In a concrete allotment in Saint Marks, Portland
Go north from the hospital and take the first right turn. Follow this road the
entire way around and take the second left. Drive into the concrete alleyway
you can see on the right and then make a left. Get out of the car and go
through the narrow gap. You should see an allotment with a ramp beneath you.
Drop down to retrieve the package.

XV. Hidden Package 15

Location: In the ruins of the "Blow Up Dolls" house, Portland
This package is only available after completing the mission "Blow Up Dolls".
The building itself is easily located. Go north from the hospital and take
the first left. Take the first right and follow this road along. You will see
the blow up dolls house on your left. The package is on the ground floor.

Location: On top of the construction site, Portland
In order to get to the top of the construction site, you will need to complete
a unique jump. This jump is relatively easy. Get a PCJ 600 and drive to the
Blow Up Dolls house. Go to the rampway and position yourself in the direction
of where you want to end up. Reverse slowly until you reach the wall on the
other side of the road. Where there is no traffic, lean forward on the bike by
gently pushing forward on the analog stick. Accelerate forward and take the
ramp correctly. You should go flying over the train tracks and land on top of
the construction site. Go to the north-east side of the building and use the
L Button and analog stick to look down. You should see the package on a small
ledge beneath you. Drop down and retrieve the package.

XVII. Hidden Package 17

Location: Behind two green dumpsters in an alleyway, Portland
Go north from the hospital and make a left turn. Follow this road as far as
possible and make a right turn onto the main road. Go along this, ignoring the
first right turn. You should see a dead-end alleyway on the radar (this is,
effectively, the second right turn after you make your initial turn off onto
the road). Go up this alleyway and you see two green dumpsters ahead of you.
Jump on top of them and drop down. You should see a hidden package in the gap
between the stairs and the wall. Walk into the package to claim it. Grand Theft
Auto III players will recognise this particular alleyway as your Portland
safehouse on Grand Theft Auto III itself.

Location: In a flowerbed in the middle of the main road to the west, Portland
Go north from the hospital and make a left turn. Follow this road as far as
possible and make a right turn onto the main road. Go along this and look to
the left. As soon as you see the flowerbed on the left, get out of your
vehicle and jump into the display. Run along and you will run into the hidden
package and claim it.

XIX. Hidden Package 19

Location: In the alleyway beside Ammu-nation, Portland
Go north from the hospital. Make the first left and then the first right and
when you come to Ammu-nation on your right, then stop your vehicle. Get out
and go up the alleyway. The package is in the small allotment on your left.

XX. Hidden Package 20

Location: In an alleyway in Saint Marks, Portland
Go north from the hospital and make the first right, followed by the first
left. Ignore the first "square" on your left and move on to the next "square".
If you look to the left as you go along the road, you should see a small
grassy section with an alleyway behind it. The package is in the alleyway
beside the bins. Walk into the package to claim it.

Location: On the first floor of Marco's Bistro in Saint Marks, Portland
Go north from the hospital and make the first right. Follow this road and when
you reach the top of the hill, look to your left. You should see the Bistro
now. The package itself is up the stairs and behind the tables on your left.

Location: Underneath the train tracks beside the train station in Saint Marks,
Portland
Go north from the hospital and make the first right. Continue up the hill and
stop when you reach the train station, which is on your right. Go up the stairs
and go on to the tracks before dropping down to the grass below. The package
itself is right beneath the tracks, hugging the wall. Walk into the package to
claim it.

Location: In an alleyway opposite the Portland Hospital, Portland
If you are facing west whilst standing at the hospital, the alleyway will be
directly in front of you. The package is located in this alleyway. After going
through the alley, it is on the right behind the parked car.

Location: On the train station roof on the west side of Portland Island,
Portland
Take a PCJ 600 from outside Salvatore's mansion and go to the west side of
island. You should see a large pier. Travel along it and you should notice
two sets of stairs. Go towards the Callahan Bridge and stop half-way there.
Turn around and accelerate towards the staircase. You should go up the
staircase and land the bike (or yourself in the event you fall off the bike
whilst doing the stunt) on the roof. You will see the package right in front
of you now. Simply walk into the package to claim it.

Location: On a ledge behind the Portland Hospital, Portland
Go the police station beside the hospital. Go around the back of the police
station and jump on the grass over the small wall. Head north and go up the
mound. You should see a concrete ledge in front of you now. Continue north
along this ledge to retrieve the hidden package at the far end of the ledge.

Location: On top of a warehouse roof in the vicinity of the docks, Portland
Go north from the hospital and make the first right. Take the next right and
follow this road around before making a left into the docks. Instead of going
straight into the docks, go to the left and turn the car to the right once
you pass the building. You should be greeted with the following rampway in the
distance:

In order to land on the warehouse, you will need to accelerate to full speed on
your PCJ whilst gently pushing forward on the analog stick to lean forward on
the bike. Hit the ramp at a slight angle to the right to ensure you land in
the middle of the warehouse. Upon landing, jump over the warehouses (there is
no distance between them) and collect the package which is on the corner of
the furthest warehouse from your landing point.

Location: On top of a container in the vicinity of the docks, Portland
Go north from the hospital and make the first right. Take the next right and
follow this road around before making a left into the docks. Go to row of
six warehouses on the radar and go to the containers nearby. They are on the
east side of the docks. Before coming, hijack and ambulance from the hospital
and park its back against the container. Jump up on the bonnet, on the roof
and then on the containers to claim the package.

Location: Hidden in trees between the police station and the docks, Portland
Go to the police station in Portland and go south-east. You should come
across the package in some shrubbery if you continue on this south-eastern
path.

Location: In an alleyway in Chinatown
If you are doing this particular hidden package further into the game, it is
the same "block" where the phone rings regarding the Red Light Racing bike
race. In order to get there from the hospital, go north and make the first
left. Follow this road the entire way down and make a left when you are faced
with the main road. Go along this and take the second left. Go into the small
T-shaped alleyway that is immediately on your right and retrieve the hidden
package.

balcony around. The hidden package is directly in front of you.

the back of the ambulance against the wall of the road and jump up on to the
ambulance and on to the beam to collect the package.

Location: On a metal beam beneath the Callahan Bridge, Portland
This is a particularly difficult package to get. Go to the west side of the
island start your run-up to the ramp way from the grass. You will have to hit
the ramp at a slight angle (to the right) to ensure that you land on the beam.
Furthermore, you will need to gently push forward on the analog stick to make
Toni lean forward on the bike. This will allow you to get the necessary speed
to make the jump. The only way I have actually been able to land on this beam
is when I have managed to get the bike high enough to crash into the Callahan
Bridge itself. As Toni falls, he lands on the beam as opposed to the ground. If
you are struggling to land on the beam, then this may be an effective option.

find the package hiding between two green dumpsters. Walk into the package to

and walk into the package to claim it.

Go into the subway station that is directly opposite the hospital. Go down the

against the wall opposite the concrete ramp and jump up and retrieve the
package behind the sign.

sides and you should see the package sitting on a small concrete square. Walk
carefully on to the square and into the package to claim it.

Location: On a small rock out to sea in the east of Staunton Island, Staunton.
Go east from the hospital and take the first right. Follow this road the
entire way along and make a left just after the concrete multi-storey carpark
on your left. Go down this road and over the grassy mound ahead of you. Walk
down the stairs to the pier and get in the police boat on your right. Turn
the boat around so it is facing north and go up. About halfway between the
actual islands of Portland and Staunton, you should see two rocks out to sea.
The smaller of these has the package on it. Gently drive the boat against the
rock and jump out to retieve the package.

In order to make more Trashmasters spawn on the road, drive an ambulance around
the hospital and stadium area. Once you have one, position it against the
café as shown above. Get a lower car, perhaps a Stallion, and position it as
shown on the diagram above. Jump on the lower car, then on the roof of the
Trashmaster and then on to the roof of the café to retrieve the package. I
initially tried an ambulance, however I wasn't able to jump up on the roof so
this appears to be the only method.

package is now on your left. You should note that this particular package is
only available upon completion of the "Bringing Down the House" mission.

Location: On a metal walkway that runs parallel to the bridge connecting
Staunton Island to Shoreside Vale, Staunton
Get a car like a Landstalker and, from the hospital, go west, take a left
turn followed by the second right on this road. Take a left and continue up
the road. You should be beneath the circular bridge now. Go up the grass on
the left and do a 180 to face the correct way on the bridge. Drive up the
left hand side of the road and stop the car just before the part of the bridge
which rises on occasion. Look for this particular part of the bridge:

Park the back of the Landstalker against the gap and get out of the car. Jump
on the bonnet, then on the roof and then into the gap. Look down now and you
should see a metal walkway beneath you. Position yourself correctly, using

After landing, run along it (there's only one way you can go) and when you
come to the end you should see the hidden package on a very small square

Location: Behind rocks on the lower circular road near the dam, Shoreside Vale
Go north from the hospital and take the final right before going on the dam.
When the fence on your left ends, drive over the edge. When you land, go to
the straight road leading out of the circular road. As you leave, look to the
west and you should see a set of rocks. The hidden package is just behind them.
Walk into the package to claim it.

Location: Around the side of a mansion just down the road from your safehouse,
Shoreside Vale
From your safehouse, go east. When you come to the last driveway on the right,
go down it and go around the left hand side of the mansion. You will see the
package sitting here. Walk into the package to claim it.

Location: Near the waters-edge of the dirt track in the north-east of Shoreside
Vale, Shoreside Vale
Go east from your safehouse and when you reach the end of the road, drive over
the cliff on to the dirt track below. Go to the south-east side of the dirt
track and go to the waters-edge. You should see the package floating here. Walk
into the package to claim it.

Location: On a cliff-face in Wichita Gardens, Shoreside Vale
Go east from your safehouse and make a right turn. Follow this road around
and make a left turn into the S-shaped road. Go down, but before the first
180 degree turn, stop the car and jump over the barrier on to the cliff face.
Run along the cliff face and you will find the hidden package tucked into a
nook about half-way along the actual cliff itself. Walk into the package to
claim it.

Location: Behind advertising boards on the S-shaped road in Cedar Grove,
Shoreside Vale
Go east from your safehouse and make a right turn. Follow this road around
and make a left turn into the S-shaped road. Take the first 180 degree turn
and when you start to come down the next stretch of road you should see the
billboards in front of you. Get out of your vehicle and go around the right
hand side of the billboards. Go around the back and you should see the package.
Walk into the package to claim it.

Location: Behind machinery in an allotment north of the police station in
Shoreside Vale
From the hospital, go north (on the western most road) and ignore the first
two right turns. After the second right turn on the road, there should be an
allotment on your right. Drive into it and go to the right. Drive forward and
get out of your vehicle. The package should be on your left. Walk into the
package to claim it.

Location: In a fenced allotment beside the Pay N' Spray, Shoreside Vale
Go north from the hospital (on the western most road) and take the first right,
followed by the first left. Follow this road along as it curves around. As
you come to the next junction following the road-curve, look to your right.
You should see an entrance to an allotment. Drive in and look to your right.
Just past the storage containers is a fenced-off allotment. Walk through the
small gap of the fence in front of you on the right and retrieve the package.

Location: In a garage behind the police station, Shoreside Vale
Go to the police station and go around the back. Jump on the garage roof and
drop down before going to the garage with a number "2" on it. The package
is sitting inside here. Walk into the package to claim it.

Location: Behind a tree in an allotment in Pike Creek, Shoreside Vale
Going north from the hospital, take the first right. Go down this road and
look to the right. You should see steps and a large tree. Get out of your
vehicle and jump over the barricade of the steps and on to the area where the
tree is. Drop down to the next level to find the package. Walk into the package
to claim it.

Location: On a rocky cliff on the shore side of Wichita Gardens, Shoreside Vale
From the hospital, go north and take the first right. Go all the way along this
road and drive over the grass in front of you. This will drop you down to the
next road. Get out of your vehicle and walk down the cliff-face to the bottom.
Walk in a south-eastern direction along the river to find the package. Walk
into the package to claim it.

Location: In a flat doorway in Wichita Gardens, Shoreside Vale
Go east from your safehouse and make a right turn. Follow this road around

doorways of the apartments on the right hand side. The package is in the
doorway to the south-west. Walk into the package to claim it.

down. Get out of your vehicle and go to the waters edge in front of you. Now
go to the right and you should see the package behind a rock. Walk into the
package to claim it.

Location: On a warehouse roof in Pike Creek, Shoreside Vale
Go south from the hospital and follow this road around. Take the second left
and go into the alleyway immediately on your right after making the turn. Go up
the stairs in front of you and when you get to the roof, go to the north-west
corner and retrieve the package from behind the rampway.

Location: On the roof of a warehouse behind the hospital, Shoreside Vale
Take an ambulance from outside the hospital and drive it around the back. Park
it parallel with the wall, get out and jump up on the bonnet and then on the
roof. Instead of trying to jump on to the wall, jump over the wall and you will
land on the warehouse roof. Run to the south-east corner to retrieve the
package.

Go south from the hospital and follow the road around. Make a right turn and

Location: Underneath the bridge connecting Staunton Island to Shoreside Vale,

Go south from the hospital and follow the road around. Take the first right
and follow this road around until you are facing the bridge and two porter
tunnel entrances. Go to the right hand porter tunnel entrance and get out of
our vehicle. Jump over the ledge on the left and go around the base of the
bridge to find the package. Walk into the package to claim it.

Location: Behind an advertising banner on the first floor of Francis Intl.
Airport, Shoreside Vale
Go south from the hospital and follow the road around. Take the first right
and follow this road around. Make a right turn and go into the road in front of
you. Go through to the airport by smashing through the barricade. Go left when
you get into the airport and follow the building around until you see a rampway
facing a building where the ground floor has a roof to land in. Speed up the
ramp and land on the ledge. Walk around the roof until you come to the package
behind the second advertising banner.

Location: In an enclosed space surrounded by containers in the vicinity of
Francis Intl. Airport, Shoreside Vale
Go south from the hospital and follow the road around. Take the first right
and follow this road around. Make a right turn and go into the road in front of
you. Go through the gap on the left just past the fire station and accelerate.
You'll need a PCJ for this. After accelerating, head towards the "ramp" or
set of stairs in front of you. Hit them correctly and you should land in the
enclosed space and be able to pick up the package. Walk into the package to
claim it.

Go south from the hospital and follow the road around. Take the first right
and follow this road around. Make a right turn and go into the road in front of
you. Go through the gap on the left just past the fire station. Look to your
right and accelerate on a PCJ. Hit the ramp and you should land on the ledge.
Look left and you should see a ramp ahead of you. Accelerate gently and go over
the ramp to the other side of the ledge. Go forward and walk into the package
to claim it.

Location: Behind an advertising sign on a ledge in the vicinity of Francis
Intl. Airport, Shoreside Vale
Go south from the hospital and follow the road around. Take the first right
and follow this road around. Make a right turn and go into the road in front of
you. Go through to the airport by smashing through the barricade. Go left when
you get into the airport and follow the building around until you see a rampway
on the left. Get a good distance back and accelerate towards the rampway. Lean
forward on the bike by gently pushing forward on the analog stick. You should
get the speed behind you to get on to the ledge. If you go too far, then press
Triangle to jump off the bike whilst you are above/on the ledge to get off.
Walk into the package, which is behind the advertising sign, to claim it.

Location: On the wing of a plane in the vicinity of Francis Intl. Airport,
Shoreside Vale
Go south from the hospital and follow the road around. Take the first right
and follow this road around. Make a right turn and go into the road in front of
you. Go through to the airport by smashing through the barricade. Go left when
you get into the airport and when you pass the hangar on the right, look at
the plane on the right. There is a package on the plane's wing and a small
set of stairs that you can use as a rampway to get up there. Get a PCJ and have
a small run-up to the steps. This will give you the small burst of speed you
need to get up on the wing and be able to break and stay there. After you land,
walk out on to the wing to retrieve the package.

you get into the airport and when you pass the hangar on the right, make a
right and go to the end of this road. Keep going to the hill and make a left.
Go behind the hangar and you will see the package. Walk into the package to
claim it.

you get into the airport and go forward. Continue down to the main runway and
check in between the three yellow-and-white ramps. The package will be sitting

I hope this guide has been of some assistance to people. The hidden packages
are extremely difficult to find without any help. The rewards are quite
beneficial and the weapons which appear outside your safehouse can save you a
lot of money, so even if you don't intend to play for a 100% save file,
amassing a few hidden packages will mean that you can keep more money in your
pocket as you play the game.
