                                       HINTS AND TIPS

1) Try the PIT* police manuevre in races and hot persuits. This is how you do it: 
If you are behind an opponent, make the front of your car get alongside the back of 
the opponent car. (it doesn't matter if it is right or left) If you are on the left 
side of the back of the car, smash your opponents car by doing a rightwards swerve. 
If you are on the right side of the back of the car, smash your opponents car by 
doing a leftwards swerve. If you hit the back of the car hard enough, the opponent 
should go swerving around madly.

* Don't ask me why it is called the PIT manuevre. I saw it in the TV 
series 'WORLD'S WILDEST POLICE VIDEOS' and tried it in the game and it worked like 
a charm.

2) Also try ramming the opponents bumper. It might make them swerve wildly as well.

3) To DESTROY your ccompetition in the track 'Country Woods': after the really 
sharp 180 degree hairpin you will notice (with glee!) that there is no railing on 
the right to protect you from the steep fall downwards. So, if you are alongside an 
opponent and on the LEFT side of the opponent (it HAS to be left) start going 
rightwards. Hopefully, you will push the opponent car off while not pushing 
yourself off as well. (Once I fell with the opponent!!)

4) Get more cars by doing 'Pro' cups and HIGH STAKES races over and over and over. 
Its real easy to win against computers. Don't blame me if you lose!!

5) If you have to choose between buying a McLaren or Mercedes CLK-GTR, take the 
McLaren. In my opinion it is a lot better but it is your choice.

6) When viewing the 'credits' video keep clicking the photos over and over to start 
a 'click the photo' mini-game. (- this hint taken from cheatcodes hint page. It was 
submitted by an 'Unknown' person.)

                                    TRACK SHORTCUTS

IMPORTANT!! - All the instructions to take the shortcuts are going to work only if 
you are doing the tracks FORWARDS. (Also assuming it is not mirrored) Unless it 
says you have to do the shortcut/s backwards to get the shortcut right. 

EMPIRE CITY

Very near the end of the lap, where the sharp left and right are, (assuming you are 
doing the track forwards) where you see the first piles of crates, there will be a 
gap in the crates COVERED BY A FENCE. Smash through the fence to get through the 
gap.

If you've taken the shortcut specified before this one, keep going straight through 
the first shortcut and when you emerge, you should see a second pile of crates with 
a gap which IS NOT COVERED BY FENCING. SImply go through that gap as well. 
(assuming you are doing the track forwards) If you missed the first shortcut, then 
you'll be doing a sharp left turn. After the turn, there should be towering piles 
of crates on YOUR right. If you are sharp-eyed, you'll see a gap. go through it. 
(again, assuming you are doing the track forwards)

You can fo this shortcut ONLY if you are doing the track backwards. (IT IS 
IMPOSSIBLE TO DO IT DOING THE TRACK FORWARDS) Near the end of the BACKWARDS lap, 
you should be going on the wide road which has those yellow and black striped beams 
in the middle of the road. After you have got past all the beams, you should notice 
there is a small, dirty wooden fence with GRAFFITI on it on the right of the road. 
Smash through the fence. Be prepared for a 40 foot drop.

REDROCK RIDGE

After the beginning part of the track (assuming you are doing the track forwards) 
you will come across a 180 degree turn and on the left the is a boundary of rock. 
There will be a HUGE gap in the rock. Go through it.

AQUATICA

After you gone past the fork in the road, (assuming you are doing the track 
forwards) (also, 1 side of the fork is blocked) and got past the next downward 
section, you will be going upwards on the road and a white wall is on your right. 
There is a teeny-weeny gap in the wall. Go through it.

Right after going through the first shortcut, you will see another fork in the 
road. On the right side, there is a tunnel srrounded by fencing. Just smash through 
the fencing and get in the tunnel. If you missed the first shortcut, you will be 
doing a continuos sharp right. AFter the right, there is another fork in the road. 
On the right side, there is a tunnel srrounded by fencing. Just smash through the 
fencing and get in the tunnel. (This is again assuming you are doing the track 
forwards.)

COUNTRY WOODS

After a really sharp 180 degree hairpin, there will be a right, left, left, left 
turn combo. After that, there will be some trees on the right side of the road. 
Manuevre your car through the trees (make sure you don't ram into any) to get back 
on the track and cut upto 10 secs off your lap time. (depending on how well you got 
through the trees) (again, the instructions are given assuming you are doing the 
track forwards)

through the shortcuts doing the track backwards.
