Pokemon: Ruby Version Introduction Pokemon: Ruby Version is a super fun game that will keep you occupied for hours. This game guide includes: A complete Walkthrough! How to catch every Pokemon! Tips to defeat every Trainer! Guide by: Uighdfghdefj Email: [email protected] Basics Controls D-pad: move B: hold to run (after obtaining running shoes) A: action L: action Start: pause game Select: use selected item in inventory Pokemon There are two hundred different Pokemon in Pokemon: Ruby Version. But you will only be able to catch 163 of them without having a copy of Pokemon: Sapphire Version, another Game Boy Advance, and a link cable. Gym Leaders There are six gym leaders in the game which are hard and you must battle them to continue the game. Walkthrough Littleroot Town When the game starts pick your gender and your name. Now you will be in a moving tuck going to little root. When it stops go right out of the truck and you mom will take you inside. When you get inside go straight forward through the door to go upstairs into your room. Go up to the computer and take out the Potion then go to the clock and set it. Go downstairs and your mom will bring you up to the television then go outside. Go into the house on the right if you are a boy and the house on the left if you are a girl. When you enter the next door neighbors mom will talk to you. Go upstairs and walk up to the child at the computer and talk to them. They will say there name is Brendan (if you are a girl) and May (if you are a boy). You will later become friends with him/her. Go downstairs then outside and go between the two houses then head north. Go around the kid and he will say that Professor Birch is under attack. Route 101 Walk past the kid and you will see the professor being attacked by a Pokemon. Walk past the kid and walk up to the picnic basket and press A. Pick a Pokemon for you to have (either Mudkip, Treecko, or Torchic). We suggest Mudkip. Now you will get in a battle with the Poochyena which is lv 2. Your Pokemon is lv 5. Only use Tackle/Scratch to attack it because growl and attacks that do no damage wont help you in battle. After you defeat the Poochyena Professor Birch will thank you and leave. He will bring you to his lab in Little Root Town. Littleroot Town He will give you the Pokemon you used in battle then tell you to meet his son/daughter Brendan/May on Route 103. Leave the room then start head back to Route 101 into Oldale Town. Oldale Town When you enter Oldale Town use the Pokemon Center if you go in a fight on Route 101 then speak to the lady in the white apron left of the brown house. She will show you the Pokemon Store and give you a free Potion! Then go north into Route 103. Route 103 Get north through the brush to find Brendan/May. Talk to them and you will get in a battle. He/she will have a Treecko if you have Mudkip, Torchic if you have Treecko, and a Mudkip if you have Torchic. Use the same tactic as with the Poochyena and you should win and he/she will give you 300 dollars. You will probably have leveled up during the battle and if not fight in Route 103 until you are lv 6. Head south through Oldale Town and Route 101 and go to Professor Birchs lab and talk to Professor Birch. Littleroot Town He will give you a Pokedex and Brendan/May will give you five Pokeballs which are used to catch Pokemon. Leave the building and head toward Route 101 and your mom will stop you and give you Running Shoes. Now run to Route 101.
