Truely a breakout position recently in the NFL (some teams, like the
Broncos, even have more than one awesome halfback). Most of the newer
halfbacks rely on speed and the ability to catch the ball.

Easily one of the most underrated positions in the NFL, the fullback is
often responsible for many of the yards your halfback nets during a game.
Emmitt Smith has always been the first to admit that without the help of
Daryl "Moose" Johnston, he would never have rushed for so many yards and
touchdowns.

#. Player Overall Team
==================================
1. Mike Alstott 95 Bucs
• without a doubt the best fullback in the game
• he's like a speeding freight train that's very quick and quite tough to stop
   without lots of support

2. Howard Griffith 94 Broncos

3. Sam Gash 93 Ravens

4. Larry Centers 92 Bills

Since Jerry Rice and Michael Irvin have left the spotlight, the new NFL
receivers have taken over. They're fast as hell, tall, and above all have the
hands that Irvin and Rice did.

#. Player Overall Team
==================================
1. Randy Moss 98 Vikings
• very fast, he can burn any cornerback in a footrace
• reliable hands and a good height

2. Marvin Harrison 96 Colts

3. Terrell Owens 94 49ers
• speed matched only by Moss, Owens can take most cornerbacks for the ride of
   their life
• clutch player who can catch most passes in his direction

4. Isaac Bruce 93 Rams
• still an excellent receiver, but he has lost some of his speed

5. Keyshawn Johnson 92 Bucs
• just "give him the damned ball" and he'll catch it
• good height

6. Cris Carter 92 Vikings
• veteran wide receiver who's hands have earned him a right in the Hall of
   Fame upon retirement

7. Rod Smith 91 Denver

8. Eric Moulds 89 Bills
• big target with big hands; he'll catch bombs that most receivers couldn't
   even get near

9. Tim Brown 89 Raiders
• once considered one of the fastest in the NFL, Brown doesn't have the same
speed as he once had, but still can burn a lot of cornerbacks on the long
   bomb

10. Torry Holt 89 Rams
• sometimes overshadowed by the Rams' surplus of talent, Holt is very talented
   and is a reliable receiver

 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Tight ends are another fairly underrated group of players. They'll block,
take incredible hits in the middle of the field, and catch anything you hit
them with. Truely a quarterback's best friend. Peyton Manning has the extreme
fortune to play with two Pro Bowl quality ends, Marcus Pollard and Ken Dilger!

#. Player Overall Team
==================================
1. Tony Gonzalez 99 Chiefs

to be experts at the pass block.

 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Left guards play between the left tackle and the center, and usually learn
to run block better than left or right tackles.

#. Player Overall Team
==================================
1. Larry Allen 96 Cowboys
• definitly one of the best guards in the NFL's long history

   teamed
• his major weakness is his consistent holding penalties each game

2. Ruben Brown 92 Bills

• one of the best guards ever to play
• he's getting older each day, be careful of his retirement

Also the "hiker", the center is the one man between the angry defensive
lineman and the quarterback. Smart quarterbacks take their offensive lineman
out to dinner (preferably all you can eat expensive steakhouse).

They take the job of covering the wide receivers each play. Most of the
best CBs are never heard of, for one simple reason: QBs don't look at a
receiver who's being covered by them. It's hard to get famous interceptions
when no one's throwing your way.

Notes
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With the tragic death of Korey Stringer, you can do whatever you want with him.
Personally, I edited him down to a 0 rating and removed his name and attributes
so he wasn't signed by anyone. Rest in peace.

Terry Glenn was suspended for missing a drug test, and is likely to retire
soon, so do what you please with him.

Michael Bates plays wide receiver for the Redskins, but is a halfback in
Madden NFL 2002.

The players to "create" edit are players that are not in the game. You can
either make them, or alter other insignificant players. Choose a black player
to edit for the black players that need to be in the game, and a caucasian
player to edit for the caucasian players. B. Cockerham, W. Richardson,
T. Woodburry, and S. Bonner are all black quarterbacks you can use to edit the
black quarterbacks.

< 25. Trick To Gaining Millions of Madden Tokens >
\\===========================================================================//
 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
I saw this on GameFaqs, and it's pretty good. I'm not sure who originally
created this, but if you're the author and want credit, just show me where you
put it and I'll credit you as soon as possible. Now on to the trick.

Edit the speed of every player on the Raven's defense. Make sure the speed is
15.

Edit all of your halfbacks, fullbacks, tight ends, and wide receivers' ratings
down to 0.

Edit you offensive lineman's pass block rating to 99.

Edit your quarterback in the following manner:
0 Passing Power, Accuracy
99 Speed, Accel, Carrying, Awareness, Stamina, Agility

Save your roster as "Cheat", and be sure to load it before doing the trick.

Start a Two Minute Drill. Choose All-Madden, and then the Ravens' defense.

Choose whatever team you modified offensively, and make them your offense.

Next, you'll need a passing play!

Choose Single Back Formation, and then Hot Route your second wide receiver,
looking left to right. Also Hot Route your tight end. For the Hot Routes,
make them do a buttonhook (left on the directional pad).

Now instead of passing the ball, run a "quarterback sweep" by sending the
quarterback to the right side of the field. Run towards the endzone, using
speed bursts as needed.

Make sure you get to the endzone. If you don't, call timeout if the clock
keeps ticking.

If a penalty is called, don't waste the time running down the field. Simply
head out of bounds, and do it over.

You should be able to score around ten touchdowns! Your score will be very
odd, and you'll get millions of tokens! Go the Madden Cards menu to see your
tokens, they might not show on the Two Minute Drill menu.

As you play a franchise, the game increases the ratings of some players.
This is some information about some of the players who increased, decreased,
or whatever. Big thanks to ddean for a lot of this information. Note that
none of this is "official" and it might change for you. This is just a few
examples from a bunch of simulated franchises, your results WILL VARY, but alot
of this information will be useful.

My FAQs are intentionally small in KB. I cut out every last piece of unneeded
spacing and other areas. I don't try to drag them out so I can get onto the
GameFaqs Most Proliffic Writers list. They are as small as possible while
keeping their completeness.
