SA2:B Boss Guide - Guide for Sonic Adventure 2 Battle

Hero Story:

1. Boss: Bigfoot
Character: Sonic
Walkthrough:
This is the 2nd easiest Boss in the Hero story. Begin by grabbing a ring, and running
around the outside ring of the area. Wait until the machine gun stops and Bigfoot
lands to attack. People with fast hands could try to attack with a Homing Attack
before the missle bay doors open. Otherwise, avoid the missles, wait until the
barrage stops, and then attack. Repeat this four times to beat Bigfoot.

2. Boss: Dr. Eggman
Character: Tails
Walkthrough:
This is your chance to get aquianted with beating Dr. Eggy's fanny. Begin by locking
on to him while running at him. If it connects, congrats. If not, just don't give up.
One thing not to do is try to Propeller Punch him; CPUs are fast. All I can say is:
lock on and fire until he's dead.

3. Boss: Shadow
Character: Sonic
Walkthrough:
This is your chance to get used to attacking Shadow. First, provoke Shadow. Jump up,
and Shadow will come up to meet you. Homing Attack him. He'll block it with his
Homing Attack. When Shadow lands, attack. Repeat this three times if it worked. (Be
happy that this was easy; the next Shadow-Sonic battle will be painful)

4. Boss: King Boom Boo
Character: Knuckles
Walkthrough:
This is a very difficult Boss, and you'll lose Lives if you're careless. I found that
having two people at the controller is a wise descision; you'll have two aces. First,
have one person avoid Boom Boo's fireballs by running-not fast- around the stage.
After a few fireballs, Boom Boo will start breathing fire. This is your chance to run
around behind him and attack the git holding the hourglass. The connection will flip
the hourglass, opening sunroofs in the ceiling. Because of the sunlight, Boom Boo
will slink into a shadow. Follow it, then, when the time is right, dig in. He'll pop
out, and you'll be able to attack. Follow him, and punch him. He'll speed up so you
can't hit him again, but you'll have plenty of chances. Repeat.
The second time, Boomy'll be on the wall. Attach to it, and follow him, then dig in.
The third and fourth times, Boomy'll try to have Knux for dinner. There's no time to
rest here; run full out. When you get to the attack part, Boomy wioll alternate
between the pillar and floor. This makes it harder, but after a couple of tries,
you'll get it.

5. Boss: Egg Golem
Character: Sonic
Walkthrough:
I found this so easy it's funny. When the battle starts, start running. The Golem
will slam his fists on to the battlefield, lowering portions of the circular area.
Utilize these when he spins with his hands out; he'll only hit the higher areas.
When you run around behind him, you'll see platforms. Jump onto them tgo reach the
top. Note that you can Homing Attack the symbols on the top three to reach the
restraining device. Repeat this four or five times.
Note: Homing Attack like mad if you fall into the quicksand.

6. Boss: Rouge
Character: Knuckles
Walkthrough:
Rouge is relatively easy. Grab a ring, then rush toward Rouge. Attack her with a few
punches. Remember that she will block. After about a minute, the floor will open and
Knuckles and Rouge will be thrown into the air. I found it near impossible to hit
Rouge in the air, so avoid her for now. Four hits should take her out.
Note that when ouge says, 'Here I Come', RUN. That means Rouge is about to launch her
special attack.

7. Boss: Dr. Eggman
Character: Tails
Walkthrough:
This is the last battle with Tails, and it's a doozie. Begin by avoiding Eggman;
he'll lock on and fire the moment the battle starts. Get in a few shots of your own.
After a little while, he'll fire missles or a laser. Both are very fast, so run
quickly to avoid them.
A good way to damage Eggman is by waiting in front of a canister in the center of the
field with Eggy in front of you. When he walks toward you (trust me; he will), shoot
the canister, and get the **** away from it. It will damage Eggy.
Five hits will take him down for good.

8. Boss: Shadow
Character: Sonic
Walkthrough:
BE CAREFUL ON THIS BOSS. Shadow is very vicious this time. Begin by Light Dashing to
get rings. When you manage to get up to Shadow, Homing Attack. He'll block it. Keep
doing Homing Attacks until one connects. Repeat this two to three times.
The fourth and fifth hits are trickier. First, walk slowly. After a few second, start
building up a Spin Dash before Shadow says his special attack. Right after you hear
the taunt, release the attack. With accruacy, you'll hit him. Repeat this twice to
kick him off the Boss list.

Enjoy your new Emblem.

Dark Story:

1. Boss: B-3X Hotshot
Character: Shadow
Walkthrough:
This is a relatively easy battle. First, grab a ring, and run. His machine gun only
lasts one shot, so the moment it stops, figure out where he'll land, and run towards
him. If you think you can't hit before the missles launch, simply avoid the missles,
then strike. After the first hit, when he takes the air, he'll charge up a homing
laser. DO NOT STAND IN THE CROSSHAIRS. That is where the laser will hit. Run to avoid
it. Repeat four times.
The last time, Hotshot will shoot five lasers, one right after the other. Avoid them
all, then strike to take him out. Note the 'Pathetic Humans' quote from Shadow.
Inconsiderate jerk...

2. Boss: Tails
Character: Dr. Eggman
Walkthrough:
This is your chance to get aquianted with beating Tails' fanny. Begin by locking on
to him while running at him. If it connects, congrats. If not, just don't give up.
One thing not to do is try to Punch him; CPUs are fast. All I can say is: lock on and
fire until he's dead.

3. Boss: R-1 Flying Dog
Character: Rouge
Walkthrough:
Be careful not to die. Even though this is just a flying version of the B-3X Hotshot,
you'll need to use a special attack to hit him. Follow the guide for Boss 1, but when
he stops, wait for the missles to launch, then glide at him. This will need
precision, so be careful. Four hits will take him down.

4. Boss: Sonic
Character: Shadow
Walkthrough:
This is your chance to get used to attacking Sonic. First, provoke Sonic. Jump up,
and Sonic will come up to meet you. Homing Attack him. He'll block it with his Homing
Attack. When Sonic lands, attack. Repeat this three times if it worked. (Be happy
that this was easy; the next Sonic-Shadow battle will be painful)

5. Boss: Egg Golem
Character: Dr. Eggman
Walkthrough:
This time, the Egg Golem will be harder. Begin by running from him. He will try to
hit you with his fists. When he's done or you see an opening, start shooting the
cracks in his chest. When the crack opens, Lock onto the machinery part three times,
and fire. This will take a thrid of his life away. Do this three times to beat him.
Note: Careful with the quicksand; the moment you touch it, you're screwed.

6. Boss: Knuckles
Character: Rouge
Walkthrough: Knuckles is relatively easy. Grab a ring, then rush toward Knuckles.
Attack him with a few kicks. Remember that he will block. After about a minute, the
floor will open and Knuckles and Rouge will be thrown into the air. I found it near
impossible to hit Knuckles in the air, so avoid her for now. Four hits should take
him out.
Note that when Knux says, 'Take This', RUN. That means Knuckles is about to launch
his special attack.

7. Boss: Tails
Character: Dr. Eggman

This is the last battle with Eggman, and it's a doozie. Begin by avoiding Tails;
he'll lock on and fire the moment the battle starts. Get in a few shots of your own.
After a little while, he'll fire missles or a laser. Both are very fast, so run

Last Story:

1. Boss: The Biolizard
Character: Shadow
Walkthrough:
Begin by avoiding the Biolizard. He will try to bite you. Don't run too fast; he will
smack your head off with his tail. Wait until he stops and his airtube starts
sparkling. Grind along it, then Homing Attack the life-support system. One hit down,
five to go.
The second time, after the initial biting, the Biolizard will spits energy balls.
Jump over the low ones and somersault under the high ones. Then, grind the airtube
when it's sparkling, and attack. Repeat.
The fourth and fifth time, the lizard'll spawn pink eggs. Homing Attack on them to
reach the life-support system.
The final hit, in my opinion, is easy. Simply avoid the eggs, and Homing Attack the
life-support system.
Then, fasten your seatbelt.

2. Boss: The Final Hazard
Character(s): Super Sonic and Hyper Shadow
Walkthrough:
This is the final battle. Begin by directing SS or HS near the hazard. Press A to
burst forward and up, and B to burst forward and down. Utilize these moves to hit
him. Remember, hit the pink, swollen areas of him.
The first time, there will be eggs. The second time, there will be lasers. The third,
two. Fourth-sixth, both. Avoid all of those to beat the Hazard.
Notes: SS and HS will lose rings by moving. When you come close to hitting zero, fly
above or below the Final Hazard to switch characters. Hitting an egg or laser will
also deplete your rings. Your character will also change after every hit.

Enjoy the ending, and note the the Hazard is just the Biolizard...
Also note that Shadow 'dies'.
