Thor: God of Thunder is the latest Marvel-based video game from Sega. They've
already created games based on The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man, with a game
based on the new Captain America film in the pipeline. With the film in
theaters, this cash-in title is in serious need of a walkthrough. Thankfully
for all of those Marvel nuts that got this game and got stuck, horror_spooky
has come to the rescue!

Even though I wrote this guide based off of the PlayStation 3 version of the
game, this guide IS compatible with the Xbox 360 version of the game as well. I
believe that there are more significant differences between the 360/PS3
versions and the Wii/DS/3DS versions, so I can't say that this guide will help
you complete the game on those platforms.

1. Introduction and Controls
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Not all is well in Asgard! The city is attacked by invading forces, and it's up
to Thor, his genius brother Loki, and their gruffy-bearded dad Odin to save the
day! This game serves as a prequel to the events in the new Marvel film, but
you won't have to worry about spoilers for the movie if you play this game.
While Thor tends to act like a jerk for much of the game and comes across as
way too cocky, I assure you, I am nothing like that.

But before you read this guide filled with my perfect writing skills, let's go
over the default controls for Thor: God of Thunder!

X - Jump/Release Grapple
Circle - Grapple/Interact/Vault
Triangle - Power Attack
Square - Melee Attack
R1 - Power Surge/Mjolnir Leap
R2 - Hammer Throw
L1 - Mjolnir Burst/Dash
L2 - Block/Counter/Reflect

D-pad (down) - Hint
D-pad (left and right) - Cycle Active Element
Left Analog Stick - Movement
Right Analog Stick - Camera/Enter Hammer Throw (press)
Select - Valor Upgrade

Keep those in mind. Keep this other stuff in mind that I'm about to tell you
all about in the next section, as well!

2. Things to remember
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
If you are loaded and have one of those fancy 3D TVs, Thor: God of Thunder is
one of the few third-party releases that actually supports 3D. I don't have a
3D television myself, so I can't speak for how well this actually works, but I
just want you to know that it is indeed option.

Valor is basically the experience points Thor gets in the game. These are
earned by beating up on bad guys and completing objectives. There are also
tasks in each level that work like medals in the Uncharted games. By completing
these tasks, Valor points are also rewarded. They can be spent in the pause
menu to upgrade Thor's abilities. It would be silly for me to tell you what to
specifically upgrade throughout the game in my walkthrough since you should be
upgrading Thor based on your own playing style, but I will make a note of
certain abilities that will be especially useful if I feel that it is relevant.

I will not point out the location of every single collectible in the game in
this guide. The reason for that is many of the collectibles are in plain sight
and it would be a waste of time to point out their locations. I will make a
point of it to point out the collectibles that are a bit more hidden.

If you need health, be sure to grapple enemies and then use the square button.
If you're looking for your magic to be refilled, grapple enemies and then use
the circle button. Grappling enemies and pressing triangle almost always
results in instaneous death, but offers no bonus benefits.

There's a trick that may come in handy if you are having troubles with a boss
fight. Personally, I didn't even bother upgrading Thor until a very late stage
in the game. The point is, I saved my Valor points. You can upgrade Thor's
health at any point in the game by spending Valor points. You get to upgrade
his health three different times using Valor, and every time you do, Thor gets
all of his health back. The same games for Odinforce, or magic as I refer to it
throughout most of this walkthrough. I think you see what I'm getting at with
this little anecdote.

Thor: God of Thunder has a new game+ system. You can keep replaying through the
game over and over again, retaining all of your abilities and what-not. Your
powers stay with you and all of your upgrades as well, even if you switch the
difficulty to a more difficult mode.

A. Chapter 1: The Jotun Road
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
After the cut-scene, you get to take control of Thor! Refer to my section about
controls if you are having difficulties with them, but let's get this show on
the road!

There are creatures that will attack you called Iceborn. Buttonmash at them.
Just keep swinging the hammer. The game tells you that you can block using the
left trigger and dash using L1, but these aren't all that helpful. I maintain
that the best strategy here is to just swing your hammer like crazy until they
are defeated. The game will then inform you of your magical abilities, and you
can use triangle to summon lightning death from above, if you wish. It's easier
to just defeat the Iceborn with the hammer, though. After they're all defeated,
a bunch of pillars come out of the ground!

The game then teaches you about throwing your hammer for ranged attacks. Click
on the right analog stick to make Thor start swinging his hammer over his head
like a drunk guy swinging his t-shirt around at a party. Aim Thor in the
general direction of the enemies that are on the pillars, and then press R2 to
effectively chuck the hammer at them and destroy them with relative ease. After
this task is accomplished, the Frost Giant himself will jump down and summon
even more ice minions to attack!

The game also demands that you complete the combos that it presents at this
point. Just do what it says. The game registers the combos more effectively if
you input them slowly, so keep that in mind if you are having difficulties at
this part. After you've completed all of the combos, the game then tells you
to look at Thor's available moves. Do so and then proceed to defeat the rest of
the enemies.

A bunch of giants and other ice enemies will hop down and try to defeat you.
However, with the power of buttonmashing, no foe is too great for the almighty
Thor! Well, beat the hell out of all the enemies with Thor's hammer until the
game says that Thor's ultimate power can be unleashed with the simple press of
R1! Do as the game demands to defeat all the enemies and trigger yet another
cut-scene.

Collect a Mjolnir Hammer. Get five of these to increase your overall health.
Afterwards, walk towards the edge of the platform. Sif will bark at you to
hurry up, but ignore her. Aim the camera at the big floating green cirlce that
is off in the distance. Then tap R1 and Thor will fly like Superman to it!

After landing, immediately turn around and grab a collectible. Get five of
these babies to increase your overall Odinforce, which translates into your
magical capabilities. Continue along the only available path, defeating the
enemies as they come to you, and performing the quick throw maneuver when the
game tells you to. You can break those big, Kryptonite-looking (uh-oh, two
Superman references already in a guide about a Marvel game?!) crystals to
replenish your supply of magic. Keep defeating enemies and pushing forward
until another cut-scene triggers.

Jump and then tap L1 to go across the gap. Do this again to get across the next
gap, and then walk over the shiny thing in the wall. Jump and Thor will
automatically use it to propel himself upwards to the next platform. And then
yet another short cut-scene will play.

Thor gets trapped in ice thanks to the evil ice dude that is encountered. Shake
the left analog stick left and right to free Thor from his ice prison and then
tap triangle to use Thor's new wind ability to disperse the frozen air stuff.
Wow, that's a sentence I thought I'd never type. Regardless, head through the
hallway and grab the lightning bolt thing. Another type of collectible. Get
five of those to get a new color for Thor's abilities.

At this point, I was lacking the juice necessary to disperse the ice-wind. If
you are lacking on magic power, just do a little bit of back-tracking and
destroy the number of torches that are lining the walls to get more magic. Use
the magic on the ice-wind and proceed to the next room. In here, Thor will
learn about runes. Red runes grant players full health if you walk up to them
and hold down circle. Blue runes do the same thing, except for magic ability.
After this short tutorial, head through the big golden door.

After crossing the bridge, Thor will be greeted with another micro-cut-scene.
Deal with the next set of enemies by swinging the hammer like crazy. You need
to build up Thor's special attack in order to continue. If you defeat all of
the bad guys and Thor still can't unleash his special ability, don't worry; by
jumping off of the ledge, this counts as completing a "Heroic Recovery" since
Thor just bounces right back up to the platform. While this will cost a small
amount of Valor, it's the only option if all of the enemies are defeated and
you haven't allocated enough to perform the special attack. Once you have
enough, tap R1 to destroy everything. A big green circle will appear in the
distance, and Thor can now fly over there with another press of R1 after you
position the camera to be looking at the big green circle.

This is where the game tells you about the hint system! If you get stuck, you
can just push down the d-pad to get a hint, ala Uncharted (two Uncharted
references as well. Man, I am on a roll). But if you were able to use the hint
system without troubles, you wouldn't be needing to read this guide anyways.
Regardless, push down on the right analog to get Thor to swing his hammer
around above his head. Aim at the things that are pouring water down that is
sustaining the ice wall. Destroy them. If you run out of magic, just keep
throwing short hammer throws at the enemies that continuously spawn on that
platform. After the water-dousing things are dealth with, destroy the ice wall
with hammer throws. The game then informs you of the d-pad's other function,
which is to draw in runes by pushing up on the d-pad. Do this, and then use the
big green ring to jump across the gap. Use the first Save Rune in the game to
save your progress thus far! Opposite of the Save Rune is a Valor Rune. Use
circle to access it, and then use the analog sticks to turn them from red to
green in color to earn extra Valor. Head through the doors and use the big
green ring to zoom across to the next area.

Oh, no! Elite Iceborn! Take these guys out in any manner you choose. I
recommend testing out the new grapple moves the game has so generously
bestowed upon you. After the enemies are defeated, turn your attention to the
big wall of ice spikes blocking the path. Use the purple runestone to restore
Thor's health and magic, and then use triangle to smash the ground and send a
trench attack barreling under the ice. Use this to defeat the enemies that are
behind it. It's pretty much blind-firing, but you'll know when they are
defeated because the big ice wall will cease to be. Proceed through the giant
doors.

These two baddies have armor. Use the Thunder Trench magic attack to knock
them down and spam it to do this easily. If you want more of a challenge, you
can try dealing combos out to break their armor. I recommend three squares
followed by a single triangle. Eventually, they will stand still and hold
their arms in the air like morons. Their chest will glow orange. Use the
grapple ability to latch on and then start pressing square, triangle, or
circle to keep dealing damage to them until they are demolished by Thor. After
both of the enemies are defeated, approach the button attached to the large
horn-like mechanism in the middle of this place. Press circle to press the
button. Afterwards, use the big green ring to head to the next area.

Defeat all of the enemies here. Some of them have armor, so be wary of that
fact. One of them will likely reverse your grapple attack, in which case, just
tap square repeatedly to counter his counter. After all of these enemies have
been dealt with, a large enemy will make his debut! He'll cover himself with
giant shards of ice for armor. Boss time!

Frost Goliath
* * * * * * * * * *
This guy is pathetically easy. Just stand by a wall. Dodge any projectile
attacks, and then wait for him to charge. He'll run into the wall and then
stumble away. Walk over to his arm and press circle to initiate some QTE
action.

Hold the left analog stick either left or right. When the arrow starts to glow,
press circle and Thor will launch himself towards one of the shoulders. If you
have any magic ability, just press triangle to save time. If your well of magic
supply has run dry, then just keep tapping square like crazy. Repeat the
process for the other arm.

After both of the arms are destroyed, trick the Frost Goliath to run into the
walls again. Grapple him again, and then start attacking the head. Use triangle
if possible, which it probably will be, but if not, tap square. Do this twice,
and then try a third time, but he'll try to squash you with his hands on the
third attempt. Rapidly press square to prevent this, and then Thor will deal
the killing blow by ripping the dude out of his giant ice robot machine.

You will be rewarded with bonus health. This is like extra health that is
deplenished outside of your actual healthbar.

B. Chapter 2: Vengeance
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Defeat all the enemies. Simple stuff. Following the conversation with Loki,
head through the giant golden double doors that open up.

After the cut-scenes, walk up to the pedastal. Press circle, and then use both
of the analog sticks. Rotate them until the spinning things are both bright red
and the controller is shaking considerably.

In the new area, there's a save rune. Use it. Head through this small cave-like
area and then when you see a big green ring in the distance, tap R1 and soar
over there.

C. Chapter 3: Best Served Cold
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Yes, Chapter 2 is really that short! Thor's landing will kill all the enemies
that are already there, but big armored guys will show up. This part is
incredibly annoying. Basically, you just have to keep doing combos to these
guys and build up Thor's Fury meter. They will constantly respawn, and it's a
giant headache as it's nigh impossible to dodge their attacks. Use block a LOT,
but be sure to constantly be putting out offense in order to build up the Fury
meter as fast as possible and to keep Thor from taking too much damage. If you
need health, grapple one of the big guys and then press square repeatedly to
melee them on the ground and force red runes of health out of them.

Once Thor's Fury is at full capacity, press R1 when prompted. This kills all of
the enemies around Thor, but more come when he challenges them. Thankfully,
Thor is now steroided-out and can defeat these guys with relative ease. Just
spam the usual combos and you'll be fine. After they are all defeated, Ymir
will have a quick chat with Thor and challenge him to a battle.

Head through the cave. Keep a look-out for a Valor Rune trapped in a green
crystal. Continue until Ymir destroys a bunch of stuff in the cavern that you
are standing in. Push through the wind gusts. It will knock you back a few
times, but it's nothing to worry about. Keep pushing through the wind and kill
any enemies that confront you. Walk towards Ymir's giant face. It will
disappear when you get close enough, and reveal a grapple point. Jump on the
grapple point to launch Thor up to next area. Keep walking forward until a
couple of ice giant pops out of the ground to do battle. Defeat them in the
usual manner, ignoring the game's info about countering since it's virtually
useless, and then walk on the water after Ymir freezes it.

Ymir will then unfreeze the water, making you fall onto a platform covered
with enemies. Defeat all of the enemies. Ymir will then summon more enemies and
he will also make a bunch of giant ice spikes pierce through the ground. Avoid
the spikes and just keep defeating the enemies over and over and over again.
Once again, the goal here is to fill your Fury Meter in order to unleash a
powerful attack with R1 and get to the next area. So, defeat all of the
enemies and don't worry if you run out because they will just end up
respawning. Once you finally have the Fury Meter completely filled, use it to
gain access to the next area.

Use the grapple point to reach the next ledge. In this cavern, destroy the
green crystals to replenish your magic.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
D. Chapter 4: The Spire
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Loki informs Thor that a Spire in this place needs to be destroyed in order to
make this obtrusive storm that's going on disappear, and allow Thor to walk
across the bridge. First thing's first, head to the save point that's located
directly behind Thor and save the game. Then aim the camera at the big green
ring located to the side of the storm to soar across to the next gap.

In this new area, there is a river. Follow the river, and eventually Ymir will
freeze the water, and also Thor. Shake Thor free, and if you are playing on the
hard difficulty, there is a collectible you can snag by utilizing a grapple
point in a waterfall that you pass. Just keep following the river, which Ymir
will constantly freeze. Big purple ice spikes will create a barrier every once
in a while, which you just have to wait out. Keep following the water until you
are introduced to the jade turret!

Throw your hammer at the turret repeatedly to destroy it. Then use the grapple
point to start scaling the wall. Ice spikes may come out of the wall and knock
you down, but don't worry about it and just climb right back up. Use the
grapple point sticking out of the frozen waterfall and use it to climb even
higher. Head right to a bridge and a cut-scene.

This next part is astonishingly frustrating. You have to time your block with
L2 in order to deflect the enemies' attacks back at them. It's really a matter
of luck due to the weird lag with the game's combat system. Just keep blocking
whenever their green blast gets close enough to send the projectile flying
back at them. Don't be discouraged by the fact that they keep replacing each
other; they will eventually stop doing that and just stay dead. After all of
those guys are defeated, the bridge starts to collapse. Escape from the bridge,
and if the cracks get too close for comfort, remember to jump and then press L1
to dash in air to avoid tumbling to your death.

BOSS FIGHT!!!
Armored Frost Goliath
* * * * * * * * * *
Great, another one of these guys. However, this time, there's a twist! This
dude is decked out with armor, which in theory, should make him much more
difficult of a foe. On the contrary, this fight is actually easier than before,
it just takes a little longer.

The key is to stick in close to him and just constantly attack him with combos.
Use earthquake as much as possible as well, and just keep chipping away at his
armor. Be sure to stay behind him and pay attention because if you deal enough
damage, or when he jumps into the air and then crashes to the ground, you will
have the opportunity to grapple his back. Do so, and then perform the same set
of attacks that you did with the other one. Focus on the shoulders until you
can't anymore, then focus on the head until you can't anymore. It will take a
while, but the reward is a bunch of gold runes, so that's great.
* * * * * * * * * *
BOSS FIGHT!!!
Armored Frost Goliath
* * * * * * * * * *

No rest for Thor it seems! Right after you defeat the boss, a couple of jade
turrets reveal themselves. Take them out by aiming with Thor's hammer by
clicking down on the right analog stick, and then zoom up to either side of
the ice fort after the big green rings appear. Save when you see the Save Rune.
Stand over the patch of ice with cracks in it and press triangle to smash
through.

A bunch of ice spikes will appear and try to mow Thor down. Just push through
them. Walk in a zig zag style to avoid damage. Eventually, the walls will try
to close in and smash Thor, so be ready to press circle rapidly in order to
escape this death trap. Once you reach the end of the hallway, destroy the
green crystal to reveal a symbol on the ground. Activate the symbol by holding
down on circle, which will in turn open the large door.

Your goal in this room is to destroy the jade accelerators. Destroy the jade
turrets on the walls, and destroy every enemy you see. Just keep jumping on the
platforms until you come across a mark on the ground. Hold circle to activate
it, and the shielding around the first jade accelerator will lower. A simple
tap of R2 will destroy it. There will be a new jade turret that has spawned in
the distance. Destroy it by aiming with the hammer, and then use the big green
ring that will appear to soar across the gap. There's a grapple point in the
wall, so use it reach the next ledge. Defeat all of the enemies, and bust your
way through the giant purple ice spikes. You'll come to a ledge and will once
again have to use the big green ring to reach the next area. When you come
across another mark on the ground, hold circle, lower the shielding, and then
destroy the next jade accelerator.

Jump across to the next ledge, and another jade turret will spawn on the wall
in the distance. Once again, destroy that turret, and then use the green ring
to soar across and reach the next area. A bunch of spikes will pop out of the
ground, and you need to avoid them. Look for the areas of snow that dust up and
be sure to walk around them to avoid taking damage from the spikes. Keep going,
use the Valor Rune when you come across it, and then start jumping up the
platforms. Be wary, because spikes will come out of the walls. Time your jumps
appropriately (the spikes alternate between platforms), and then destroy the
jade turret that spawns on the wall. Avoid the spikes that come out of the
ground, and bust through the ice wall.

Jump into the wind current to reach the next ledge. There will be an enemy
standing on a breakable platform. Chuck your hammer at the platform to destroy
it and kill the enemy. Break the ice wall and head through.

Suck the energy out of the Purple Rune and head up the cliff. There are a bunch
of enemies up here, and the Spire itself! You need to destroy the four columns
that are up here by overcharging them with your hammer, while also contending
with the enemies that are roaming around up here. My suggestion is to just
walk up to each column and hold circle to start charging it up. The enemies
usually won't bother you, unless there's a big, armored enemy around, in which
case, they will probably throw ice spikes at your feet and screw the entire
process up. Kill them if they become an issue. Once all of the columsn are
destroyed, defeat any remaining enemies for the Valor, and then turn your
attention to the big rotating machine in the center of this place. The big
green crystal shields that rotate around it are there for protection, so be
sure to throw your hammer in between them and at the machine. Three hammer
throws will result in the destruction of the machine, and a big green ring
appearing in the distance! Soar over to it.

E. Chapter 5: Deep Freeze
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Well, this puts Thor back at the bridge that was been ravaged by a storm
earlier. Head across the bridge, and Ymir's big face will block the entrance,
accompanied by a couple of jade turrets on the adjacent walls. Run forward and
smash the hammer right into Ymir's ugly ice face to destroy it. Then destroy
the jade turrets before heading in.

Meet up with Loki and then after your conversation, head into the next room. It
is a large room with a bunch of enemies, and four big pillars that look like
they belong in Superman's Fortress of Solitude. Destroy these pillars. Don't
bother fighting the enemies. They don't really pose a threat. If you run low on
health, you may want to grapple with one of the bigger guys to beat some health
out of him, but besides that, there's really no reason to mess with them. Focus
your attention on destroying the pillars.

BOSS FIGHT!!!
Ymir
* * * * * * * * * *
You know that scary mean face that has been blowing wind at you for a couple of
chapters? Now it's time to fight him mano y mano. And, like the other bosses in
this game, it's a breeze.

Just get in close and spam attacks. It's truly that simple. If you have your
magic bar filled, use lightning attacks on him as they deal the most damage.
Occasionally, an orange light will start glowing on his chest, which gives you
the opportunity to grapple him and press triangle to deal a massive amount of
damage. The only attack he has that you need to worry about is when he slams
his hands on the ground and creates ice-wind everywhere. You need to use your
wind abilities to blow this away before Thor turns into an icecube and takes a
ton of damage.

When Ymir has about a quarter of his life left, the battle is over!

Ymir

After tumbling down, Thor has a brief discussion with Loki about a supposed
sword that has the ability to permanently kill Ymir and all his people. Head
towards the large door with the symbol in front of it. To the left of the door
is a grapple point hidden in the dark. Use it to grab a collectible. Then
return your attention to the symbol on the ground. Hold circle to interact with
it...

* * * * * * * * * *
BOSS FIGHT!!!
Ymir
* * * * * * * * * *
Ahh! Didn't see that coming, did ya?! Oh, you did? Well, then...

Your goal is to open the big satanic door. Ymir has a vortex spinning under his
body that deals an annoying amount of damage. You need to keep airborne as much
as possible, and deal damaging strikes in the air. Use lightning as much as
possible as well to deal the ideal amount of damage. Stay close, just say in
the air and you should be fine. When the orange light appears on his chest,
grapple him and then press triangle so Thor shoves his lightning hammer through
the chest of Ymir.

If you're running low on health, you can try to very quickly jump over to
Ymir's left or right while grappling him to be rewarded with more magic and
health runes than usual. Regardless, every time that Ymir disappears after
you destroy his crystal armor that guards his heart, run to the symbol on the
ground and start to energize the door. Ymir will return and knock you away from
the door with an ice pillar that materializes. Keep repeating this process
until the door is fully charged and it opens.
* * * * * * * * * *
BOSS FIGHT!!!
Ymir
* * * * * * * * * *

After witnessing Loki be a total jerk, head through the huge green portal that
appears. This sends Thor hurtling and crashing into an entirely new world.
Check out the back of this new room that you land in to find a collectible,
then use the Save Rune. Turn your attention to the door in here and hold circle
to charge it and then open it. Head through, right to chapter six!

F. Chapter 6: The Ruins
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Make your way across the destroyed bridge by umping and then pressing L1 to
zoom across the gaps. Use the big green ring when it appears in the distance so
you can soar towards it.

Oh, no! Lizardmen! These guys are called Skraelings, and they are lizard people
equipped with guns. So, kick their ass. Defeat all of the Skraelings and then
try to open the door. You'll be attacked by another Skraeling from the
distance, which will cue the appearance of even more of the evil jerks. Defeat
the new ones that attack and then head through the door. Head through the next
door and step on the circular platform. Press circle in the center.

Ride the circular platform right in front of Thor to return to the upper level
of this futuristic building. Head through the open door and then open the next
door you see. You'll be greeted by a group of Skraelings. Kill them dead, and
destroy the energy cells you see by throwing your hammer at them from afar to
avoid taking damage. Energy cells are the tubular objects that glow. Anyway,
head to the crooked room, where a Skraeling will drop a couple of grenades at
you from above. Run forward to avoid taking damage from the grenades, then
climb the rubble to reach the top.

Jump across the gap and do battle with the Skraelings. Be sure to destroy the
energy cells from far away before you continue through, or else you may end up
getting blown up. After all of the Skraelings are defeated, jump across the
next gap and head into the next room to trigger a cut-scene.

When you regain control of Thor, defeat the Skraeling that is shooting at you.
Jump on the rocks to grab a collectible, then click R3 to enter a free-aim mode
with your hammer. Aim your hammer at the weird growths on the large, rune-like
pillars. Destroy them.

Go through the hole that is created in the wall and then jump down. Charge the
red symbol. A light will come out of it and fill in one spot of four on a door
on the other side of this structure. For now, jump across the gap to the area
with all the Skraelings. Kill the Skraelings. When they're all dead, a small
raft manned by yet another Skraeling will start firing missiles at you. Take
it out by aiming and throwing with your hammer.

Swamp trolls?! Indeed. Take these big guys on and defeat them. Once they have
been dealt with, charge the symbol on the nearby wall. Then follow the path
that the trolls made and charge the next symbol you see. Walk over the
futuristic platform hanging over the swamp water and try to charge that symbol.
Thor will reveal that you need to find a power core. Head to the nearby door
that you haven't been through and try to enter. Upon doing so, a Skraeling will
blow up the structure above Thor and bury him under the rubble. Tap circle
rapidly to free Thor from his rubble prison.

Head through the door, ride the circular platform down. If you are feeling
lucky, you can try to catch the collectible that is orbiting the platform. To
continue, press circle in the center once again to hear that strange lady speak
in a different language.

Defeat the Skraelings that invade by throwing your hammer at them from the
platform. Try to avoid their blaster fire, try to defeat the Skraeling that is
standing by himself first, as this one shoots grenades. After they are
defeated, ride the platform to the higher level.

Head through the door and start walking across the bridge. A bunch of
Skraelings will pop out of the swamp and chuck grenades at your feet. Jump off
the bridge and defeat all the Skraelings in the nearby area. One chuck of your
hammer will do them in with a single hit. When they are all taken care of, go
to the other side of the swamp to find a collectible. Be wary, though, because
plant-like monsters will pop out of the swamp water to try to attack you. After
grabbing the collectible, backtrack a little bit to where you started walking
on the bridge. This will allow you to get back up to the bridge. Walk across
and keep going until you find a grapple point. Use the grapple point to launch
yourself into the air and then press L1 to dash forward through the open door.
Fall down below, and get greeted by trolls!

Defeat the trolls and Skraelings in here and then open the door. Walk through
the crack of the door and defeat the plant monster that pops out of the dirty
water. Energize the symbol you see, and then make your way to the surface.
There will be another symbol to energize up here. Go through the door.

After the scene, work your way around the rubble to find yet another symbol.
Then use the Save Rune, and turn around. The part of the destroyed wall works
like a staircase that will lead you to the final symbol you need to energize.
Follow the ball of energy that comes out to find a Rune of Valor. Then return
to the area with the large fish monster connected to the boat. Tilt the camera
upwards to notice a big green ring hanging above the large structure in the
distance. Fly on over there, and then do battle with the two swamp trolls at
the top. Take care of the Skraelings.

BOSS FIGHT!!!
Mire Giant
* * * * * * * * * *
Another easy boss. Noticing a trend yet? Regardless, the strategy for this guy
is to use thunder attacks while also mixing in armor-breaking combos. Just
relentlessly attack him, and try to stay behind him as well. Just keep nailing
him with attacks until his armor breaks.

After this happens, you can continuously grapple him from the front. After you
grapple him, tap square furiously to regain health. He'll swat you away, but
keep repeating this. Eventually, he will try to squash you with his hands, and
you'll have to alternate between press L2 and R2 in order to break free from
his grasp. After enough damage has been dealt, an arrow pointing up will appear
when you grapple him. Hold circle and follow the direction of this arrow, and
then start pressing square again when you have the chance. This should be
enough to put Mire Giant away.

Mire Giant

Jump on the boat and then hold circle. Don't worry about the Skraelings that
come out of the water and try to attack you. Keep the circle button pressed
down and the boat will take care of everything. When the boat finally reaches
its destination, you'll realize that the boat is the power core that you needed
earlier, and it has attached itself to the thing that you needed to! How
convenient. This will create a bridge of lasers. Walk on that bridge.

Uh-oh, Loki is a bad, bad man. Well, after viewing the cut-scene you need to
haul ass for obvious reasons. Keep running until a tree trunk collapses in
front of you. Destroy the tree with a swing of your hammer and keep running.
Try to stay on the laser bridge as long as possible and make it to land. If you
fall into the water, it's not a huge deal. All you need to do is jump on the
boat and then jump on some rubble next to the boat. A big green ring should
appear above the area you need to get to so you can soar to it.

G. Chapter 7: The River
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Defeat the Skraelings. A boat full of the suckers will then pull up next to the
land that you are on. Take them out with the hammer from afar. Avoid the laser
shots from the big gun on the back of the boat until the Skraelings are dead.
After they have been defeated, block the blaster from the big gun to send the
shot right back at it and effectively destroy it. Then walk over to the weird
plant lying on the ground and press circle to dump it into the water and trick
the Mire Giant into eating it.

Jump onto the boat and then assume control at the driver's position. This next
section is just like a rail shooter. Your objective is to kill the enemies that
are on land with Thor's hammer, and try to prevent them from attacking the Mire
Giant. If you want the Mire Giant to speed up, you just have to tap triangle
and give him an electric shock. Occasionally you will come across barriers
that can't be destroyed unless you shock the Mire Giant so that he rushes
through them.

This goes on for a while, so have fun! The next point of interest is when you
come across some trolls throwing mines into the water. Destroy the mines, and
then soar across to the platform the trolls and the Skraelings are. Kill
everyone there, and then save at the Save Rune. Walk over to the malfunctioning
hatch on the ground. Throw a bunch of mines into the water by pressing circle a
whole bunch of times. When there's about five for six in the water, chuck your
hammer at the mine closest to cause a chain reaction that blows up the nearby
closed door. Soar back to the barge and resume control again.

It's the same old song and dance as far as riding on the barge goes. Just be
sure to blow the hell out of any enemies that try to attack you, and shoot the
Mire Giant with lightning to make him hurry up. However, when you see a mine
fall out of the sky and land in the water, STOP shooting the Mire Giant with
lightning. You need to destroy these mines quickly to avoid taking a ton of
damage. After you get through this minefield, Thor will decide he needs to take
care of the guys shooting these bombs. So, jump onto dry land when prompted and
head up to the next area.

Thor realizes that the barge is getting blown to hell by these mortar teams.
The barge is shown on a screen, and his health is displayed. Technically, this
is a time mission, so be quick. Use the grapple point to reach the first
mortar team. It's another one of those things where you just have to keep
fighting constantly respawning enemies until you build up the gauge, which
then lets you press R1 and a bunch of lightning comes firing out of the sky.
Do that. Head to the next area and walk across the large tree trunk. The Mire
Giant will be swimming away, but don't worry. Head across the tree trunk and
then use the next grapple point to come face-to-face with the second mortar
team.

Defeat them as quick as possible, and then keep running to the third mortar
team. The dumb Mire Giant, instead of hanging back to avoid the mortar fire,
keeps swimming forward, constantly putting itself into jeopardy. Reach the
third mortar team using a grapple point and defeat the three trolls there to
have enough to press R1 and unleash lightning hell. A big green ring appears
following the destruction of the third mortar team. Use R1 to soar across and
do battle with the final mortar team. The big guy with the armor won't fill
your meter until the armor is destroyed, so you should probably focus your
attention on the Skraelings to get this done fast enough to prevent the barge
from being destroyed.

After the final mortar is destroyed, kill the three Skraelings that appear.
Walk over to the mechanism and hold circle to activate it. Jump on the barge
and resume control.

* * * * * * * * * *

Two swamp trolls will then try to kill you. Use thunder attacks to break their
armor and kill them both. Afterwards, use the elevator.

When you reach the top of the elevator, walk forward a little bit until you
come across a giant gap with a broken bridge. Use R1 to soar across the gap.
Walk through the cavern and jump across the next gap.

The Skraelings will drop a bunch of grenades by the energy cells, so avoid the
explosions and defeat the Skraelings. Destroy any of the remaining energy cells
then head through the cavern. Use the Valor Rune, and then keep going forward.
Look upwards to see a Skraeling and a big green ring. Soar to the ring, and
then defeat all of the Skraelings up here. Another Skraeling will come down to
this area via a lift, so take him out quickly with your hammer, and then soar
up to that big green ring and use the lift.

Upon landing, you can choose to deflect the big green blasts from the
Skraelings in the cave if you wish. If not, just run into the cave. Big blue
lasers will then appear and the walls will start closing in. There's a big
crack in the ground. Phew! Press triangle at this crack so Thor can smash
through the surface and get to safety.

After falling through the ground, open the door and head into the next room.
There's a Valor Run across the way. After taking advantage of it, stand on the
circular platform in the middle. It will raise and take you to the upper level.
You can run around charging the structures here to obtain some background info,
or you can ignore them. Either way, open the door and walk through.

Listen to the nice lady. Afterwards, open the door here to find a Gift of the
Valkyries. Then head back to the room where the nice lady talked to you, and
go through the doors that are already open. Walk over to the circular platform
and stand still so it rises upwards. When you reach the top, destroy the door
here.

Beat the hell out of all of the enemies here until you have that meter filled
up all the way again. Press R1 when prompted to unleash lightning hell upon
Ulik!

War Beast
* * * * * * * * * *
This boss is basically exactly like the Mire Giants. You need to break the
armor first, obviously. Spam thunder attacks and the square, square, triangle
combo as you have been doing the entire game when trying to break armor.

After the armor is destroyed, you will notice a grapple point on the front of
the War Beast. This grapple point is around pretty much constantly, but you
may have to do a bit of damage for it to appear if it does disappear. After you
grapple him, be sure to attack the shoulders first, because the War Beast will
just keep recharging his health unless you do.

After both the shoulders are incapacitated, focus the attacks on the head.
After enough damage is dealt, a upwards pointing arrow will appear after you
grapple him. Hold circle and tilt the left analog stick in the direction of
this arrow, and then press triangle to kill the boss.

* * * * * * * * * *
BOSS FIGHT!!!
Ulik
* * * * * * * * * *
Ulik is to Thor as Bowser is to Mario. This guy is only somewhat more difficult
than the other bosses in the game, and that's because of the QTEs that are used
to defeat him. First thing's first, though. Nail him with thunder-based attacks
as well as a variety of different combos. Just keep attacking until a grapple
point appears on his chest.

Grapple him, and beat the QTE that the game has you do. You'll probably have to
rapidly press square, then do either a square, triangle, or circle attack, like
usual, though using triangle will get the job done much faster. After you've
done this, he will jump up above and throw an energy cell at you. Avoid the
attack, and then wait for him to jump back down. Then charge him and employ
the same strategy as before. Do this a few times, and when his health is
finally completely depleted, you'll still have to grapple him again.

You'll have to quickly counter his attack by pressing L2 when the game tells
you to. Then be ready to press square, L2 again, and then square again. So,
this is the QTE sequence: L2, Square, L2, Square. Stare at the bottom right-
hand corner of the screen and be ready to press these buttons. After this, Ulik
is defeated!

BOSS FIGHT!!!
Ulik
* * * * * * * * * *

After Ulik gets Bowser'd, Thor winds up in a completely new location! Head to
the save point that's nearby and save your game. Head through the caverns.
Keep in mind that those lava rocks serve the same purpose as the green crystals
from the first place, to replenish your magic supply.

I. Chapter 9: Firestarter
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
If you walk by the cliffs here, you can push down on the right analog stick
to aim the hammer in free-aim mode and destroy the giant drills that are
floating over the lava in the distance. After this is taken care of, resupply
your magic using the Blue Rune, and then turn your attention to the door that
is blocked off by the orange lasers. Use thunder to destroy the shield
generator that is located behind this door, then head through. You'll be in a
room with a big lava river and waterfall. Well, destroy the pile of rocks over
here and then drop down.

Demons?! Not only is this game a God of War clone, it's a Dante's Inferno clone
as well?! Make short work of these baddies, officially named Scorchers.

Flying Scorchers will then appear over the nearby lava. Take care of them by
chucking your hammer at them. If you want a piece of Mjolnir hammer that is
hidden, stick around this place. Wait for one of those floating machines to
come out of the cavern, and then chuck your hammer at it. These are ore
carriers. Wait for a second one to appear, and then destroy that, too. After
they are both destroyed, use the big green ring to jump across the gap and land
safely with the equivalent of a piece of heart in Zelda! Jump back across the
lava pool and open the door. Run through this area, defeating the demons as
they come, and basically, just follow the path straight through. There will be
a section of the ground that is hot and deals damage to Thor, so be sure to
jump and dash over it. There will be a grapple point you'll have to use, and
also a bunch of glowing rocks to destroy. Just keep going straight, destroy the
next set of boulders you see to reach yet another area, and then hop off the
cliff when you have a chance. Use the grapple point to reach the next area and
keep going until you find a large shield.

Ignore the shield and use the grapple point on the wall. Destroy the boulders
and then keep going. Jump across the gap. Use your hammer to defeat the two
demons that are flying, and then use your hammer to also destroy the boulders
to free the flow of lava.

Hop down in this new area and defeat the enemies. Throw your hammer at the
flying demon across the lava, and then jump across. Keep following the lava
until you see another demon flying in a hole. Defeat that enemy with a throw of
your hammer, then jump-dash through the hole to land in the next area.

Defeat the demons, destroy the ore carrier with a hammer throw, then use the
big green ring to get across the gap. Save at the Save Rune you come across in
this cavern. Make your way across the gaps. Wait for the lava geysers to
disappear, obviously, as you do this. Destroy the wall of boulders that blocks
your path and head into the next room. Jump down.

After taking care of all the demons here, it's time to deal with the giant
drill that is shooting fireballs. You'll have to time your block just right in
order to reflect the fireball back at the drill and demolish it. I had no luck
when I just stood still and waited for the fireball to hit me, but when I
started running back and forth, I was able to send it flying back on my first
try, so try moving around while you try to block it if you're having
difficulties.

Once the drill is destroyed, a more powerful demon will try to attack you,
along with some of the smaller Scorchers. Defeat all of them in the usual
manner, and then use the big green ring to reach the place where Loki is
standing. Open the door and head through the cavern, then open the next door
that you see.

J. Chapter 10: The Mine
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Use the big green ring to reach the next area, and defeat all of the demons
that are up here. Use the Valor Rune, and then energize the symbol on the
ground. Destroy any ore carriers that you see, then use the big green ring
above the drill that you activated to get on top of it. Approach the red
crystal on the side of the mechanism in the middle, and then charge it to start
a self-destruct sequence. Look at the big green ring that appears on the ledge
below you and soar to it.

Down here, you'll be introduced to Flaming Scorchers, which are explosive
demons. Try to kill them from far away with hammerthrows, as their explosions
deal a surprising amount of damage to Thor. After they are destroyed, an ore
carrier will float towards you. Destroy it to gain another piece of Mjolnir
hammer, to try to increase your maximum health. Head through the cavern that
the drill created earlier and open the door. Keep walking through, and open the
next door that you see. Kill the flying demons and then soar to the drill. If
you want, you can overload the drill and destroy it. Soar to the next drill,
kill any flying demons, and destroy this drill, too, if your heart desires. In
any event, soar down to the next big green ring possible.

Kill the three big demons that appear, and then take care of the smaller ones
that spawn after the fact. A drill will float into view, and use the big green
ring that appears above it to soar over there. Destroy the drill if you wish,
and then soar over to the next big green. A bunch of exploding enemies will
try to attack you, so take them out.

Once these enemies have been defeated, a bunch of ore carriers will fly at Thor
in an attempt to burn him to a crisp. The first wave will only shoot giant
fireballs. Your options are to wait for them to pull in close and throw your
hammer at them, or send their fireballs hurling back at them by using the L2
button. If you've made it this far into the game, you'll probably want to go
with the first route. After the first wave is either destroyed or passes by
you, the second wave will come in. They will throw grenades as well as shoot
fireballs. Defeat them in the same way as the first wave. The third wave will
throw more grenades and also continue to shoot fireballs. Take these guys out
as well. A big green ring appears. Use it.

Ignore the shield and then use the other big green ring you see to sail across
to a new ledge. Defeat the demon here and then energize the symbol on the
ground to activate the drill. The drill will then destroy the laser shield that
was blocking your path. Destroy the drill or leave it be, and then soar across
to where the shield once was. With the barrier destroyed, you can head on
through and use the Save Rune. Next, open the door.

Jump-dash over the yellow laser beams. As you run along the right side of the
room, notice the devices that are floating up and slowly descending down in
the structures. These are powering the lasers. Destroy them. Then do the same
for the left side of the room. Beware that as you destroy more of these
devices, the electricity becomes unstable and more dangerous.

BOSS FIGHT!!!
Infernir Champion
* * * * * * * * * *
Oh, no! The demons DNA-Digivolved! This guy is actually extraordinarily easy,
just like all the other bosses in the game. He might look intimidating, but he
doesn't back it up in the ring, if you catch my drift.

Just run up right in his face and tap circle like crazy to try to grapple him.
After you do this, use the arrows to jump up to his head. You can attack his
shoulders, too, if you want, but really just get to the head. Just a triangle
attack on the head (or repeatedly hit it with square if you need more health),
should take away almost all of his health. You may have to do this a couple of
times.

Infernir will then start building up energy. You need to use the big green
rings that have suddenly appeared to get to higher ground. Free-aim your hammer
at Infernir. Aim the hammer at the big yellow light, chuck it, and then he
will stumble to the flames to heal himself.

Hop off of your sanctuary, and then free-aim your hammer at one of the big red
things that are above the entrance way to the flames. Destroy it to prevent
Infernir from healing himself. Keep repeating this process until he dies. If
you're fast enough and prevented him from healing too much, you can probably
beat him with just one more grapple attack.

K. Chapter 11: The Drill
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Soar to the big green ring. Defeat the demons. The demon with blue flames tends
to teleport around, so dash to him to deal damage. After they are defeated,
soar to the next big green ring, defeat the demons, take out the flying demons,
then use the big green rings to reach the giant shield. Use thunder trench to
destroy the shield generator. Then use the big green ring to reach a lower
point. Defeat the enemies, then use the big green ring to get back up to the
shield and destroy the next generator. Just keep applying this strategy, going
around the shield and destroying all the generators. There will be one spot
where Thor has to fight a few dozen smaller enemies while also dealing with a
meteor shower, so just try to avoid the meteors as best as you can and defeat
all of the enemies. Remember, grapple + melee = health.

Once the shields are down, defeat all of the demons. Then turn your attention
to the giant anchor that's in place. Walk over to the anchor and hold circle.
Tap circle repeatedly next as the game demands, and Thor will rip the anchor
out and throw it away. A big green ring appears in the sky, which is your cue
to soar through it and exit stage left.

Time to do a little bit of scouting! Head to the left to see a giant shield off
in the distance. Do a bit of platforming on the rock platforms that are
floating in the lava. There will be a big green ring to the right that you can
soar to for a collectible. Head back to where you came from. Approach the lava,
and you can do free-aim with the hammer. There will be a drill mining from the
rocks. Destory this drill. After it is destroyed, quickly run back to the area
where the big shield was. Hop on the rocks until you're close enough to use the
big green ring that has appeared. Defeat all of the enemies. There will be some
small guys, two blue guys, and then three big demons to contend with, but it
shouldn't be too hard. After these guys have been destroyed, a giant drill will
appear and shoot fireballs. Deflect the fireballs back at the drill to destroy
it, and then jump off the cliff onto the ledge below. Dash across any gaps and
make your way to the next anchor. Rip it out, and then soar over to the main
drill that is floating above the planet using the big green ring.

Follow the red laser bridge around the circle. Flying demons, and maybe some
explosive ones, will appear. Defeat them all, and then in the little room that
opens up, activate the device in there. These devices that you are activating
unlock these three giant locks on a door that you need to get through. Keep
walking along the path, defeating the demons, energizing the devices, and
unlocking the locks until they are all unlocked. Head through the newly
unlocked door and then use the Save Rune.

Uh...whoops? It looks like the developers actually FORGOT to put in a twelfth
chapter to their game! No joke. There is no visual cue that this chapter ever
starts. I am going to assume that it starts after the destruction of the drill,
considering that Chapter 11 was named "The Drill". I will update this guide if
they ever fix this with a patch and give Chapter 12 an actual name. But, moving
on with the grand adventure...

In this new canyon, you will be greeted by a bunch of exploding demons. Switch
to your wind ability and blow (ha, a pun!) them to hell since there are a lot
of them. Push through the remaining ones when you run out of magic, and keep
going until you have another conversation with Loki.

After Thor and Loki's thousandth chat, use the big green ring to reach the next
area. Ignore the blue demons down here since their teleportation ability will
just annoy you, so focus your attention on the other demons. The goal here is

Infernir Champion
* * * * * * * * * *
Seriously, there needs to be a limit as to how many times developers are allowed
to recycle the same boss. This boss fight is EXACTLY like the last one. There is
no difference, except location. And the goal once again is to build up the meter
so that Thor can unleash a power surge and reach the next part of the game.
* * * * * * * * * *
BOSS FIGHT!!!
Infernir Champion
* * * * * * * * * *

Well, after the power surge has been unleashed, go through the now-open door.
Walk up the stoney stairs and through the hallway to the Save Rune. Go through
the next door...

* * * * * * * * * *
BOSS FIGHT!!!
Surtur
* * * * * * * * * *
Ahh! Too many freaking boss fights! This guy is actually a somewhat difficult
boss encounter though, so that's a significant change of pace for this game.
Beat the crap out of him with combo attacks. He'll get his sword, named
Twilight (because all the cool guys name their swords), stuck in the ground.
That's your cue to press circle at the base of the sword so Thor runs up and
onto Surtur's body. You may have to use the arrows during this grappling
section to get to the diamonds on Surtur's body, but once Thor is positioned
right on one of the red diamonds (there are two), press triangle to unleash
hell. Repeat this for the second diamond. Surtur's armor will then be destroyed
and he will retreat.

With Surtur hiding on a big rock floating in the lava, he summons a bunch of
minions to try to kill Thor. Use these guys to fill Thor's meter. After enough
of the baddies have been defeated and the meter is full, press R1 to make Thor
summon a bunch of lightning into Mjolnir and fire that baby straight at the
rock that Surtur is standing on to destroy it.

Surtur will then try to battle Thor by himself again. Twilight is now on fire,
though so you don't get to run up and it and continuously grapple Surtur. This
part is actually kind of tough, so be prepared. Surtur has a variety of attacks
that are all very difficult to dodge. It's pointless really to try to dodge
them since you really have to get in close and hit him with as much damage as
humanly possible. If you get low on health, start running away and hitting him
with hammer throws--without him getting too close.

Surtur might grapple you at some point. If he does, be prepared to tap the
square button repeatedly, which the game will tell you to do anyways. This will
cause Thor to block Surtur's blade, and then jump on his back. This is your cue
to hit triangle to deal a massive amount of damage to Surtur. If you don't,
Surtur will retaliate by dealing a massive amount of damage to Thor, and this
fight is hard enough as it is.

The battle goes on until Surtur's health is completely depleted and Thor's
meter is full. When Thor's meter does get full, tap R1 to finally put Surtur to
rest.

Surtur

With that grueling battle done with, Thor is then instructed to do something
I've personally been longing to do for a very long time: destroy Twilight! So,
heed the wishes of the game and beat the crap out of that sword to destroy it.

Now it's time to flee! The whole place starts crumbling, so backtrack! Soar to
the floating green ring, open the door, and keep backtracking until you see a
giant gold light in the distance. You'll know you've found it when you reach a
section of rock where a bunch of meteors are raining down. Get as close to the
edge as possible, with the camera firmly positioned at the glowing light. Tap
R1 to send Thor flying to the light and back to Asgard!

M. Chapter 13: Frozen Rainbow
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Yay! Old friends! Kill all the ice monsters from the beginning of the game.
After they are defeated, a bunch of soldiers are free from being icecubes, and
Loki shows up to talk to Thor again.

Now you have to fight a bunch of ice dudes again, with the purpose of building
up Thor's meter and unleashing hell. Again. I've typed that same sentence way
too many times in this guide. Anyway, do your thing. You've been doing it for
12 (or should I say 11?) chapters already, so you should have it down pat.
After Thor has blown up the barrier that is keeping him from Sif, run into that
room to have a little reunion!

N. Chapter 14: Defense of Asgard
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
This entire chapter is a GIANT headache. It's annoying, difficult, and unfair.
I am just giving you a fair warning about it. There is a morale gauge for
Asgard, and if it goes too low, then you are essentially screwed. It will be
very difficult, but hopefully this guide proves useful...

Turn around and head up the steps to get to a Save Rune. Now walk over to the
edge. There should be three big green rings. Fly to the one on the far right to
begin the battle to save Asgard!

This first section is defense-style. You just stand there and chuck the hammer
at the ice dudes as they try to breach the walls of Asgard. It's pretty simple,
actually. Just stand still, throwing the hammer like mad, until they are all
dead and you are instructed to return to the palace.

The second section is a bit more annoying. There are three symbols on the
ground that need to be energized. The ice dudes will un-energize your work, so
be sure to take care of the bigger ones to avoid the headache. Then run around
and activate all three of the symbols. After this is done, defeat the remaining
Iceborn that are here. Sound the big horn, and then return to the palace.

Upon returning to the palace this time, Thor tells Loki to go defend the city.
Thor is then informed that the ice people are trying to completely destroy the
horn. Return to the second section. Just beat the crap out of the ice people
and use Thor's meter power to destroy all of them. You may have to fill it a
couple of times, but it will get the job done. Try to be fast because if the
horn is destroyed, it's a huge hit to the morale rating for Asgard, and you are
going to be unable to use the horn to get a morale boost. Once the deed is
done, head back to the palace.

Thor will be told about some soldiers that are pinned down. Fly to the next big
green ring as instructed to help these dudes out. Turns out these allies have
been frozen solid! And it's time to...

* * * * * * * * * *
BOSS FIGHT!!!
Armored Frost Goliath
* * * * * * * * * *
Urgh! Use the same strategy as when you fought the previous Armored Frost
Goliath. Just try to be quick about it, otherwise the morale takes a huge dip.
* * * * * * * * * *
BOSS FIGHT!!!
Armored Frost Goliath
* * * * * * * * * *

Return to the palace, then use the final big green ring. This is a place with
demons, so take them out. However, you also have to be aware of the drills that
they are launching in the background. Destroy them as soon as they start rising
by aiming with the hammer. Defeat all the demons, destroy all the drills, and
then return to the palace again.

Loki tells Thor about a...GIANT BOMB! Oh no! Use the big green ring to zoom to
the bomb's location. Beat the crap out of the bomb (like all responsible bomb
squads do), and also take care of the demons. Keep doing this for a while, and
then a drill will shine a laser down. You need to destroy the supports that are
holding the bomb in place, and then pick the bomb up with circle. Throw the
bomb at the drill! Return to the palace! Get ready for the FINAL BATTLE!

* * * * * * * * * *
BOSS FIGHT!!!
Mangog
* * * * * * * * * *
Thor's dad gets toasted. It's now up to Thor to defeat the evil monster that is
Mangog, and that Thor accidentally resurrected while being full of himself!

Nail Mangog with a series of attacks until you have the chance to grapple and
run up his arm. Do so, and then deal the usual damage with square and triangle.
This will make Mangog pretty ticked off, and he will start to pursue Thor with
more moxxy. Don't be deterred by this and just keep attacking him until you
have the chance to grapple again. When you do, grapple Mangog and then deal
more damage to his back just like before with the usual attacks.

Odin will then intervene and throw a spear into Mangog. Mangog retreats to
higher ground after this blatant interference and start firing projectiles at
Thor. Jump around like crazy to avoid them; mix in dashes for optimal dodging
performance. When you feel comfortable enough, block to reflect his projectile
back at him. Mangog will then jump down, giving you an opportunity to grapple
him and deal damage to his mid-section. Do so, and Mangog will then retreat
back to his perch. Repeat the process.

It's now time to build up Thor's meter. Constantly deal damage to Mangog while
also being careful to avoid his attacks. When Thor's meter is full, press R1
and Loki will create a hologram to confuse Mangog. With Mangog's attention
averted, grapple him and deal even more damage, this time to his head. After
Mangog shrugs Thor off, repeat the process.

Mangog will try to unleash a super-powerful attack. If you aim the hammer
correctly, you can throw it right into Mangog's mouth to prevent the attack
from going off and deal a lot of damage in the process. In any event, keep the
fight on Mangog. When he finally has his health all gone...
