I. Introduction
==============================================================

Well, since there are no Final Fantasy VII Summon Materia FAQs
(that I know of) on Gamefaqs or Cheatcodes, so I decided to make one.
I’ve put them in order in which I got them. I’m pretty sure it’s the
order in which they appear first in the game, but I don’t think it
would make a difference unless it’s a one-time Summon Materia. First
I would like to point out:

-Name of summon (ex. Shiva, Ifrit)
-How to acquire

Pretty simple, email me if you have any questions or if I missed
anything. Feedback is appreciated. ^_^

*Notes: Beyond the Summon Materia, Phoenix, all other summons are
randomized, I cannot, for the life of me remember when I got them.
Sorry ‘bout that.

==============================================================
II. Summon Materia
==============================================================

==============================================================
a. Choco/Mog
==============================================================

Acquire this on your first trip to the Chocobo Ranch. Talk to the
Chocobo that is right out in front of where you first walk in, you
have the option of either choosing “Wark” or “Waarrkk” from the
dialogue box, choose the first option, the Chocobo’s in the pen will
start to dance, after they are done, the Chocobo will give you the
Choco/Mog Summon Materia.

==============================================================
b. Shiva
==============================================================

You acquire Shiva after you beat the giant serpent after helping
out Priscilla. Priscilla will give you this after she’s conscious
again.

==============================================================
c. Ifrit
==============================================================

You acquire Ifrit, when your riding to ship across the ocean to
Costa de Sol. Jenova Birth will drop it after you defeat her.

==============================================================
d. Ramuh
==============================================================

You can acquire Ramuh after you beat Dyne in the desert prison
below Gold Saucer. Once you defeat Dyne, you will be able to get
into the Chocobo races with your manger, Ester. Ramuh will be by
one of the stalls in the Chocobo conference room where you first
meet Joe. This is the only time you will be able to get the Ramuh
Summon Materia.

==============================================================
e. Odin
==============================================================

You receive Odin, after you put in the safe numbers in the Shinra
Mansion, you will have to defeat “Lost Number” before you can get
the Odin Summon Materia.

For more information refer to my Secret Character FAQ to get the
safe numbers in order to open the safe and defeat “Lost Number”.

==============================================================
f. Phoenix
==============================================================

You acquire Phoenix after you help out the people in Fort Condor
by beating the Shinra soldiers. After you have won enough or all
the battles, the condor on top of the fort will die, leaving an egg.
The egg will hatch and a chick will be left behind, walk up to the
chick and it will fly away leaving the Phoenix Summon Materia.

==============================================================
g. Kjata
==============================================================

You can acquire Kjata in the Sleeping Forest connected to Bone
Village, nab the Materia that is floating around the vicinity of
the forest to get Kjata.

==============================================================
h. Leviathan
==============================================================

Notes: You MUST have Yuffie in your party in order to get this. Refer
to my Final Fantasy VII : Secret Character FAQ for more information.

The Leviathan Summon Materia is located in Wutai-inside Godo’s
Pagoda. In the pagoda Yuffie, alone, must fight each member of the
pagoda until she reaches the top, where her father is. Beat him and
he will give you Leviathan.

==============================================================
i. Titan
==============================================================

Titan is found in the Meltdown Reactor in Gongaga, which can be found
on the path to the right of the entrance. You must examine the spot
where Scarlet was previously standing by.

==============================================================
j. Bahamut
==============================================================

The Bahamut Summon Materia can be found in the Temple of the Ancients,
the Red Dragon will drop this after you defeat it. This is the only
time you can get this Materia.

==============================================================
k. Neo Bahamut
==============================================================

Neo Bahamut is a little tricky, but you find it in one of the caves
while in the Whirlwind Maze. One-Time Materia.

==============================================================
l. Bahamut ZERO
==============================================================

Notes: You MUST have Bahamut and Neo Bahamut, all 4 Huge Materia.

Bahamut ZERO will appear only if you have the six items above-Bahamut,
Neo Bahamut and all the four Huge Materia. *If* you have everything
then proceed, if not, your tough out of luck because everything above
is a one-time thing. Go to Cosmo Canyon then up to the Observatory
where you can ride the elevator up to where all the Huge Materia is
held, examine the Huge Red Materia (Summon) and Bahamut ZERO will be
dropped.

==============================================================
m. Typoon
==============================================================

The Typoon Summon Materia is found in the tree-tops of the Ancient
Forest. You have to defeat Ultimate Weapon a number of times until
he appears on the outside of Cosmo Canyon, battle him this last time,
defeat him and he “opens” the way to the Ancient Forest, which is up
at the top part of the canyon(?) right where Ultimate Weapon was last
seen.

==============================================================
n. Alexander
==============================================================

Inside the Great Glacier go towards the hot springs, examine, and
trek your way to the bottom-right portion of the map where a cave
will be, go inside. You’ll find a woman there who doesn’t like the
idea that you put your hand in the hot springs and went and confronted
her, so your forced into battle with her, defeat Snow and she drops
the Alexander Summon Materia.

==============================================================
o. Hades
==============================================================

Grab the submarine and head underwater towards the sunken Gelnika
plane, when inside, head into the Cargo room where a abandoned Hades
Summon Materia is.

==============================================================
p. Knights of the Rounds
==============================================================

Probably one of the most frustrating Summons to get, but the most
rewarding. First you have to raise a golden Chocobo, a tedious task.
Then head towards the top-right of the map using your new golden
Chocobo where you will find a small island surrounded by mountains,
enter the cave inside Round Island and acquire the Knights of the
Round Summon Materia.

(Yes, the boring stuff, I know)

Thanks:

a. Squaresoft and the makers of Final Fantasy VII:

Thanks to them, we could never experienced such a wonderful game,
possibly one of the greatest RPG’s of all time. Thank you!

b. My little brother:
While typing all this up I made him check most of the location names,
just to be a bit more accurate. He’s never played the game so he had
no idea where to go, but of course my sisterly console got him
through (sarcasm). Poor thing.
