I. Introduction [A1]
**************************************************

Hello, and welcome to the Dynasty Warriors 7: Optimal Weapon Setups FAQ! This
guide aims to inform you about some useful and efficient weapon setups to use
in Chaos mode. Dynasty Warriors 7 Chaos Mode features officers and soldiers
with very high attack power and defense. You must rely on certain charge
attacks or musou attacks to sustain minimal damage, while doing respectable
 damage yourself.

Disclaimer:
Let me warn you, and remind you though, some of the setups may NOT be visually
impressive, and may NOT interest your playstyle, but in no means does this
guide FORCE you to use it. But the setups are indeed very efficient,
so play how you like :)

**************************************************
II. Abbreviations [A2]
**************************************************

Over the course of the guide I will be making use of DW/SW abbreviations and
in case you are not aware of them yet, here is a list:

C1 - First Charge Attack, C2 - Second, etc...

[PS3]
C1 - Triangle
C2 - Square, Triangle
C3 - Square, Square, Triangle (may extend depending on the moveset)
C4 - Square, Square, Square, Triangle
C5 - Square, Square, Square, Square, Triangle
C6 - Square, Square, Square, Square, Square, Triangle

S1-S6 - Normal Attack String

[XBOX360]
C1 - X
C2 - X, Y
C3 - X, X, Y (may extend depending on the moveset)
C4 - X, X, X, Y
C5 - X, X, X, X, Y
C6 - X, X, X, X, X, Y

S1-S6 - Normal Attack String

EAU - Elemental Attack Up
SYN - Synergy
DE  - Double Element
OA  - Officer Assassin
PR  - Projectile Resistance
CR  - Combat Resistance
WSU - Walking Speed Up
ARU - Attack Range Up

**************************************************
III. Types of Weapons [A3]
**************************************************

There are 2 kinds of weapons: SPEED and POWER

===============
SPEED (3 stars)
===============

PROS:
These type of weapons allow you can jump cancel out of your attacks, and
double jump when in neutral stance. In some instances, you may even chain an
Aerial Musou (for the characters that have it) directly after you jump cancel
off an attack. Speed weapons are particularly useful in dodging enemy attacks,
or eliminating long recovery times of attacks.

CONS:
Normal attack strings are usually unsafe in large crowds (except the War Fan,
Staff, and Harp)

===============
POWER (3 stars)
===============

PROS:
Whirlwinds appear when you attack, increasing your attack reach. These weapons
are very useful in musou filling, as the whirlwinds also fill your musou
generously, and give you good crowd control

CONS:
Difficult to avoid enemy musous, especially when you're in the midst of
attacking. In most cases you're forced to use your own musou to avoid getting
hit. Take care and anticipate if the enemy is gonna use his/her musou.

**************************************************
IV. The Elemental Triad [A4]
**************************************************

I will be referring to these three elements as the Elemental Triad:
Wind
Slash
Lightning

These three elements do HP fractional damage, much like the Vorpal, Death,
Shura elements of past Koei Warriors games, and the three elements RELATIVELY
do exactly the same amount of such damage (this is tested).

The main differences between the three elements are:
1. Wind - ignores enemies' guard
2. Slash - has a chance to instant kill soldiers (doesn't work on Tigers)
3. Lightning - temporarily stuns enemies, and does a little splash damage to
               surrounding enemies

**************************************************
V. Weapon Builds [A5]
**************************************************

===============
ELEMENTAL BUILD
===============

This build focuses purely on WEAPON CHARGE ATTACKS, wherein Musous are strictly
for their invincibility frames.

The build consists of the following, bare minimum:

2x Elemental Attack Up
1x Double Element

=============
SYNERGY BUILD
=============

This build focuses on RAW DAMAGE. Charge attacks are only used as setups for
Musou damage, and Normal Attack String is usually the way to clear crowds.

The build consists of the following, bare minimum:

2x Synergy
2x Officer Assassin

This build is commonly recommended for Ice and Fire limited weapons, or weapons
with charge attacks with low elemental damage.

=======================
SYNERGY + ELEMENT BUILD
=======================

YES, this build WORKS, despite what the seal descriptions tell you.

This build focuses on all Charge Attacks, Normal Attacks, and Musou Attacks.
This is the ultimate build for weapons that have very powerful charge attacks,
but is delimited by large crowds, so Musous as offense may work alternatively
with the charge attacks.

This build is commonly recommended on Wind/Wind weapons, or any other elemental
build whose weapon has a natural guardbreaking/guard tricking part of its
moveset.

The build consists of the following, bare minimum:

2x Synergy
2x Officer Assassin
2x Elemental Attack Up
1x Double Element

**************************************************
VI. Types of Battle Scenarios [A6]
**************************************************

Now an important NOTE:
There are two general kinds of battles in Conquest Mode: ARENA SCENARIOS and
BATTEFIELD SCENARIOS

==========================================
ARENA SCENARIOS (Weapon Specific Analysis)
==========================================

These are sequence battles where you are pitted only against Officers that come
in waves, and as the name suggests, take place in an Arena. Musous attacks are
completely out of the picture here as there are no crowds or peons to build the
meter on, so use them conservatively which means only as an escape against
officer musou counters. Character specificity will be out of the picture in
these kind of battles, as musous are not in focus, nor EX Attacks, and we rely
solely on WEAPON CHARGE ATTACKS.

===================================================
BATTLEFIELD SCENARIOS (Character Specific Analysis)
===================================================

These are your run off the mill DW7 scaled battles, these feature large amounts
of crowds and specifically the annoying archers and shieldmen. Musou Attacks
will be relied on for escape, offense or for use of their invincibility frames
against crowds. Character specificity will be focused upon because Musou
Attacks, which are unique to each character, and EX Attacks, that can be used
defensively are important.

As you read on you'll find that I mostly recommend SYN + DE + EAU build on
these scenarios. It's because musous are now taken into the picture and your
normal attacks are important in crowds

The character-specific sections follows the [Battlefield] section setups

VII. DLC Battle Scenarios [A7]
**************************************************

There are 11 Battle Scenario Packs that are available for download:

SANJIANG CASTLE (8-Star)
1. Battle of Sanjiang Castle (Shu Forces)
- one of the most difficult battles in Chaos. Constant supply of enemy tigers
  (which are fast, can launch you 100 feet into the air, have high defense, and
  unaffected by the Slash element), and hordes of archers
2. Repel Zhuge Liang (Nanman Forces)
- pretty straightforward battle, few crowds though, and decent amount of
  archers
3. Pursue Meng Huo (Shu Forces)
- generic pursuit scenario, enemies appear as you progress

YELLOW TURBANS (8-Star)
1. Yellow Turban Rebellion (Han Imperial Forces)
- one of best stages to compare character strengths. Small amount of archers,
  evenly spaced crowds,and narrow mountain passes
2. Fall of the Han (Yellow Turbans)
- lots of enemy playable officers, another great stage to gauge characters
3. Test of Faith (Yellow Turbans)
- escort mission

HU LAO GATE (8-Star)
1. Battle of Hu Lao Gate (Allied Forces)
- Lu Bu is in his Story Mode strength, which means he doesn't flinch except for
  Musous Attacks and can only be stunned by the Lightning element
2. Allied Invasion Resistance (Dong Zhuo's Forces)
- one of the best stages to compare character strengths. Lots of multiple
  officer scenarios, and lots of archers, and Lu Bu also defects here, so you
  can kill him too
3. Si Shui Gate Defensive Battle
- a random battle that has nothing to do with the real Si Shui and Hu Lao Gate
  battles, features a Defense Captain at the center of the field to protect

GUAN DU (9-Star)
1. Battle of Guan Du (Cao Cao's Forces)
- decent "Free Mode" style of stage, though the other side is better because of
  enemy playables
2. Capture of Guan Du (Yuan Shao's Forces)
- better than Cao Cao's side, for reasons stated above
3. Invasion of Guan Du (Liu Bei's Forces)
- unique twist to the battle, the best one as you're against BOTH sides, pretty
  much similar to Lu Bu's Guan Du stage in DW6

CHANG BAN (9-Star)
1. Battle of Chang Ban (Liu Bei's Forces)
- your goal is to win the battle, not escort Liu Bei to a stupid escape point,
  so pillage as you like
2. Destruction of Chang Ban (Cao Cao's Forces)
- you have to stop Liu Bei from retreating, but he stops midway :P
- Zhang Fei turns into Lu Bu Hyper Mode after he teleports to Chang Ban bridge
3. Escape from Chang Ban (Shu Forces)
- Liu Shan's version, and it's Jin that's chasing you this time
- escort to stupid escape point stage

JI CASTLE (9-Star)
1. Battle of Ji Castle (Cao Cao's Forces)
- nothing awfully special, you're run-off-the-mill Free Mode stage
2. Defense of Ji Castle (Ma Chao's Forces)
- same as above
3. Allied Rescue
- unique stage

CHI BI (9-Star)
1. Battle of Chi Bi (Allied Forces)
- VERY big stage, and lots of peons as well
- Huang Gai doesn't board a boat, instead he must run into the strategic point
2. Assault at Chi Bi (Cao Cao's Forces)
- just the other side, stop Huang Gai and you're golden, as usual
3. Fire Attack at Chi Bi (Cao Cao's Forces)
- pretty intense, you have to prevent ANY enemy from touching your main camp,
  or else you'll get fire-attacked
- be wary of Sima Yi's wave as he starts VERY close to the main camp

HE FEI (10-Star)
1. Battle of He Fei (Wu Forces)
- Zhang Liao only appears once in my experience, as opposed to other
  incarnations of this stage
- straightforward battle otherwise
2. Defense of He Fei (Wei Forces)
- less threats than the other side
3. Grand Battle of He Fei (Wei Forces)
- it's basically Wei vs. All, it's a unique stage

JIAN YE (9-Star)
1. Defend Jian Ye (Wu Forces)
- be wary of Zhang He as he will ambush you after some time
2. Capture of Jian Ye (Wei Forces)
- straightforward compared to the rest
3. Power Struggle at Jian Ye
- Battle for Supremacy v.3
- it's You vs. 3 Sun Generations

YI LING (10-Star)
1. Battle of Yi Ling (Wu Forces)
- you can completely ignore the maze actually, making the stage quite simple
2. Assault at Yi Ling (Shu Forces)
- straightforward as well
3. Defend Yi Ling (Wu Forces)
- Wu vs. All

WU ZHANG PLAINS (10-Star)
1. Battle of the Wu Zhang Plains (Shu Forces)
- VERY straightforward, but lots of enemies
2. Dreams of Conquest (Wei Forces)
- straightforward as well, and lots of enemies too
3. Brawl at the Wu Zhang Plains
- Battle for Supremacy v.4
- You vs. All

These battles are very similar to Free Mode of past DW/SW games, so most
battlefield scenarios will be based using these battles.

**************************************************
VIII. Weapon Setups [A8]
**************************************************

Now we go to the meat of the guide. I will be dividing this section into Speed
and Power weapons, both Arena and Battlefield Scenarios, and Character
specificities under their respective EX weapon categories.

Abbreviations can be found on Section II.

The ff. weapons are the most commonly used seal whores (all have 5 Slots):

Fenghuang Wing  [20 Atk](Wind      Lv.6) - 10th War Fan
Vajra Axe       [37 Atk](Lightning Lv.5) - 10th Axe
Qinggang Sword  [23 Atk](Slash     Lv.5) - 10th Rapier
Divine Hoops    [26 Atk](Ice       Lv.6) - 10th Wheels
Sword of Heaven [31 Atk](Fire      Lv.5) - 10th Sword

With the DLC Weapon Packs, these are better/alternative seal whores
(more Atk pts):

Squeaky Hammer [37 Atk](Wind      Lv.5) - 12th Axe
Dumpling Bomb  [37 Atk](Wind      Lv.5) - 11th Bomb
Beast King     [37 Atk](Wind      Lv.5) - 11th Great Axe
Demon Roar     [37 Atk](Lightning Lv.5) - 10th Bomb
Lollipop       [37 Atk](Lightning Lv.5) - 10th Great Axe
Takoyaki       [37 Atk](Slash     Lv.5) - 12th Bomb
Eternal Agony  [37 Atk](Slash     Lv.5) - 10th Great Axe
Frost Axe      [37 Atk](Ice       Lv.5) - 11th Axe

==============================================================================
UPDATE:
Due to the addition of Weapon Packs 1 & 2, most weapons gained a few extra
element options so a LOT of setups will be revised (except for a few). However,
since not all players bought/are gonna buy those DLC's I just retained the old
setups and added a [DLC] entry for those who got the DLC packs.
==============================================================================

 ========================
| A. Speed Weapons [A8S] |
 ========================

============================================================
1.) Wheels [S1]
============================================================

Divine Hoops   (Ice   Lv.6) - 10th Wheels
Fenghuang Wing (Wind Lv.6) - 10th War Fan
- Total of 10 Slots
- ELEMENTAL build

[Arena]

- C4 is your best bet, 2 elemental hits
- most of the charge attacks are unblockable ("nick of time" scenario), but
  bringing a Wind secondary makes all charge attacks 100% unblockable anyway
- C6 is also viable, though not as accurate as C4
- C4 can shave off 40% a layer of HP
- [EAUx3] C4 shaves off 50% a layer of HP
- C6 shaves off 50% a layer of HP
- [EAUx3] C6 shaves off 55% layer of HP

[Battlefield]

- put Officer Assassins for Musou power
- very unreliable weapon for crowds
- C4 could've been good, but the execution time is too long, and the Normal
  Attacks preceding it have crappy reach and range
- you will most definitely get hit if you don't have a good musou
- Switch Attack is similar to the Iron Fan's, but don't count on it as it has
  too little radius

--------------
DLC
--------------

Tambourine      (Wind Lv.6) - 12th Wheels
Squeaky Hammer  (Wind Lv.5) - 12th Axe
- Total of 9 Slots
- SYN + DE + EAU

[Arena]

- C4 shaves off 90% layer of HP now
- [EAUx3] shaves off 95% layer of HP
- C6 shaves off 95% layer of HP
- [EAUx3] C6 shaves off 100% layer of HP

[Battlefield]

- main difference is that Musou Attacks are also boosted now, as well as Normal
  Attacks

***************
Sun Shang Xiang
***************
- suffers the battlefield scenario problem
- It doesn't help that the 1st Musou is a grab attack, bad as follow up defense
  for C4 (or even before C4)
- Aerial Musou is decent, but cannot be used as defense while she attacks

============================================================
2.) Shaman Rod [S2]
============================================================

Staff of the Gods (Lightning Lv.5) - 10th Shaman Rod
Vajra Axe         (Lightning Lv.5) - 10th Axe
- Total of 10 Slots

[Arena]

- ELEMENTAL build
- only C5 is worth using, the only elemental move
- everything else is for crowd scattering or crowd control
- C5 shaves off 85% a layer of HP
- [EAUx3] C5 shaves off 90% a layer of HP

[Battlefield]

- SYN + DE + EAU
- C5 against officers, jump cancel or follow up with a musou for defense
- C3 for crowd scattering, but usually unsafe
- In crowds, spam your first 3 normal attacks, then jump cancel back, when
  musou is full, unleash it

*********
Pang Tong
*********
- EX Attack is good for Musou filling if you think it's safe enough to execute,
  just make sure to jump cancel after
- Musou 1 is actually pretty controllable, and good for escape
- Musou 2 is a purely healing musou, it does very little damage, though it
  knocks off nearby enemies

**********
Zhang Jiao
**********
- Musou 2 is constantly the most powerful musou in the game, covers a wide
  radius, juggles enemies high up the sky, and has very good recovery time
- Musou 2 is an excellent follow-up to C5

Videos:
Shaman Rod
War Fan

============================================================
3.) Spinner [S3]
============================================================

Doom Spinner   (Lightning Lv.4) - 7th Spinner
Fenghuang Wing (Wind Lv.6) - 10th War Fan
- Total of 7 Slots
- ELEMENTAL build

[Arena]

- C3 is the most powerful, but make sure the final returning strike hits the
  enemy, that's where all the elemental hits go
- can wipe out 160% layer of HP at optimum distance (about 3 ft away)
- [EAUx3] can wipe out 180% layer of HP at optimum distance

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGh8sJvYSi8

[Battlefield]

- put Officer Assassins for Musou power
- C4 is decent in medium sized crowds, jump cancel after
- C3 is still decent in sniping unaware officers in crowds and do mega damage,
  just be sure the crowd isn't too dense

--------------
DLC
--------------

Enforcer       (Wind Lv.4) - 12th Spinner
Squeaky Hammer (Wind Lv.5) - 12th Axe
- Total of 9 Slots
- SYN + DE + EAU

[Arena]
- C3 shaves off 170% layer of HP at optimum distance
- [EAUx3] C3 shaves off 190% layer of HP

[Battlefield]
- main difference is that Musou Attacks are also boosted now, as well as Normal
  Attacks
- a change of element from Lightning to Wind means enemies won't be stunned
  anymore so take precaution when attacking

************
Bao Sanniang
************
- EX Attack is somewhat unsafe in crowds
- Musous are decent for defense
- Musou 1 has good recovery time

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYscDprsJ6E

============================================================
4.) Flute [S4]
============================================================

Dragon Breath  (Lightning Lv.6) - 10th Flute
Fenghuang Wing (Wind Lv.6) - 10th War Fan
- Total of 10 Slots
- ELEMENTAL build

[Arena]

- C3 and C6
- C3 is a 360 elemental move, nice if surrounded
- C3 shaves off about 40% layer of HP
- [EAUx3] C3 shaves off 45% layer of HP
- C6 is a two-stage elemental move, first is 360, next is the forward
  soundwave (it's the one that carries the most damage)
- C6 shaves off 90% layer of HP
- [EAUx3] C6 shaves off 95% layer of HP

[Battlefield]

- pretty much the same as above, since they're both 360 degree attacks, they
  work on crowds too
- C3 > jump cancel > C3 jump cancel works reliably

--------------
DLC
--------------

Bloomer        (Slash Lv.6) - 12th Flute
Squeaky Hammer (Wind  Lv.5) - 12th Axe
- Total of 10 Slots
- ELEMENTAL build

[Arena & Battlefield]
- your Musou is boosted (higher offhand Atk weapon)
- you can instant-kill peons (Slash element)

*******
Zhen Ji
*******
- EX Attack is a useful buff, and alleviates C3's execution time window and
  C6's long animations
- Musous are equally good coverage defensive attacks

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4u4u-HnbXBo

============================================================
5.) Iron Fan [S5]
============================================================

[Arena]

Dragon Fan (Lightning Lv.6) - 7th Iron Fan
Fenghuang Wing (Wind Lv.6) - 10th War Fan
- Total of 9 Slots

- ELEMENTAL build
- C4 does potentially the most damage
- normally hits twice, but can hit thrice if Lightning activates, and all are
  elemental
- 2 hits shave off 90% layer of HP, 3 hits shave off 120% layer of HP
- [EAUx3] 2 hits shave off 95% layer of HP, 3 hits shave off 140% layer of HP

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ye5xmHGamXk

[Battlefield]

Dragon Fan (Lightning Lv.6) - 7th Iron Fan
Vajra Axe      (Lightning Lv.5) - 10th Axe
- Total of 9 Slots

- SYN + EAU + DE build
- Switch Attack alleviates bad normal attacks
- always open with a switch attack (jump cancel INTO the eye of the whirlwind,
  it acts as a both a barrier for you and a guardbreaker for the officers)
- C4 while inside the barrier, you won't need Wind here since the whirlwind
  guardbreaks for you
- use jump cancels and musous liberally after C4
- Switch attack in a crowd will most definitely fill your musou gauge
  generously

--------------
DLC
--------------

[Arena]

Divine Fan (Wind Lv.6) - 11th Iron Fan
Vajra Axe  (Lightning Lv.5) - 10th Axe
- Total of 10 Slots

- no difference except for an extra Slot

[Battlefield]

Full House (Slash Lv.6) - 12th Iron Fan
Eternal Agony (Slash Lv.5) - 10th Great Axe
- Total of 10 Slots

- your Musou is boosted (more offhand Atk points)
- you can instant-kill peons (Slash Element)

*********
Xiao Qiao
*********
- EX Attack could've been a good musou filler, but it branches off a terrible
  charge attack, and switch attack is superior
- Musou 1 has good range and good recovery time, and can chain into itself
  again

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d49AFeThyfs

*******
Da Qiao
*******
- EX Attack is unsafe in crowds
- Musou 2 grabs even aerial enemies, and does decent damage even to the
  ungrabbed enemies

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSyLvjSgqHk

============================================================
6.) War Fan [S6]
============================================================

[Arena]

Fenghuang Wing (Wind Lv.6) - 10th War Fan
Qinggang Sword (Slash Lv.5) - 10th Rapier
- Total of 10 Slots

- ELEMENTAL build
- C4 and C6 deal identical damage
- C4 is an immediate elemental beam, has narrow hitbox though, but can be aimed
  at a distance
- C6 fires off multi-stage beams, only the last big beam is elemental (better

Qilin Bow      (Fire Lv.2) - 7th Bow
Fenghuang Wing (Wind Lv.6) - 10th War Fan
- Total of 8 Slots

- ELEMENTAL build
- yes, the first weapon I recommend NOT to use Ice between Fire, read further
  for explanation
- pretty tricky weapon to use
- C6 does the most elemental damage (shaves off about 85% a layer of HP), but
  let me explain the tricky part:

1) C6 is divided into two parts:
a. the first set of arrows that rain on the target's position
b. the second set of arrows that rain around you

2) it's actually the second set of arrows that deal the elemental damage, or at
   least, activates Double Element (the first set can still torch/freeze the
   enemy)

3) the enemy needs to be next to you to be hit by the second set

4) if your target is hit by the first set of arrows WHILE IN NEUTRAL STANCE,
   he/she will get knocked down and will NOT get hit by the second set, which
   is bad

5) hitting the enemy while they are in JUGGLED state makes them rebound sooner,
   and make your second set of arrows fall on them just in time

- so basically these unconvenient conditions can be alleviated by stunning
  first with C3, then execute C6 at point blank.
- you do NOT want C3 to freeze the enemy, it WILL MESS UP C6, the enemy will be
  frozen, and while you're on the way to performing your C6, the enemy will be
  thawed, his stance will reset, and #4 above will happen
- [EAUx3] C3 > C6 shaves off 1 1/5 of a layer of HP

Royal Axe      (Slash Lv.5) - 7th Axe
Fenghuang Wing (Wind Lv.6) - 10th War Fan
- Total of 8 Slots
- ELEMENTAL build

[Arena]

- C4 and C6 do identical damage
- C4 might be more reliable
- shave off 90% layer of HP
- [EAUx3] shave off 95-98% layer of HP

[Battlefield]

- put Officer Assassins for Musou power
- C4 all the way, and chain up a musou after to keep crowds away

--------------
DLC
--------------

Squeaky Hammer (Wind Lv.5) - 12th Axe
Dumpling Bomb  (Wind Lv.5) - 11th Bomb
- Total of 10 Slots
- SYN + DE + EAU build

[Arena & Battlefield]
- gains 2 Additional Slots
- Musou Power is vastly boosted (more offhand Atk pts and shift to Synergy)

********
Dian Wei
********
- pretty much the same as above
- EX Attack isn't that useful
- Musous are decent, and Musou 1's last hit is for crowds

============================================================
2.) Gloves [P2]
============================================================

Divine Gloves  (Wind Lv.3) - 10th Gloves
Fenghuang Wing (Wind Lv.6) - 10th War Fan
- Total of 8 Slots

[Arena]

- ELEMENTAL build
- pretty flexible air attack
- C6 does most damage and easy to combo with Air Attack (shaves off 1 layer of
  HP bar)
- C6 > Air Attack > C6 pretty much kills any officer, EAUx3 makes it even
  easier

[Battlefield]

- SYN + DE + EAU build
- excellent weapon in crowd scenario
- grab animations are all INVINCIBLE
- C4 is a good crowd clearer, C6 is even better if you can get to it

--------------
DLC
--------------

Knockout Blow (Slash Lv.3) - 12th Gloves
Eternal Agony (Slash Lv.5) - 10th Great Axe
- Total of 7 Slots

[Arena & Battlefield]
- you get 1 less Slot in exchange for the original setup
- Wind is not really needed as all charge attacks are already unblockable
- Having the Slash Element enables you to instant-kill peons
- Musou Power is slightly boosted (more offhand Atk pts)

*********
Ding Feng
*********
- EX Attack is good for keeping crowds away (when the crowd is in front of you)
- Musou 1 is good for crowd scattering
- Musou 2's final burst is powerful, but since it's a grabbing move it's hard
  to chain to officers

********
Meng Huo
********
- EX Attack is decent for escape, but has large recovery time so chain up a
  musou after if you landed in front of a crowd
- Musou 1 is excellent for crowd clearing, and Musou 2 is strong vs officers

============================================================
3.) Arm Cannon [P3]
============================================================

Heavenly Cannon (Lightning Lv.2) - 10th Arm Cannon
Vajra Axe       (Lightning Lv.5) - 10th Axe
- Total of 8 Slots
- SYN + DE + EAU build

[Arena]

- also more effective with a Synergy + Elemental Build
- C4 is most reliable, it hits twice
- shaves off 45% layer of HP
- With Sun Ce [EAUx3; OAx3] shaves off 60% layer of HP

[Battlefield]

- The moveset is a glass cannon: great offense with a Synergy build, crappy
  defense from sides and behind
- C3 can reliably fill your musou, C6 is even better, but good luck eating hits
  while doing it
- C4 is usable against officers and crowds, though it has somewhat weird range

********
Guo Huai
********
- go all out. You won't need defense with a Healing Musou, which can also clear
  crowds, but beware as it is a grabbing musou
- C3 and/or C6 to fill musou or damage crowds and officers, musou for healing

============================================================
4.) Brush [P4]
============================================================

Heavenly Brush (Wind Lv.4) - 10th Brush
Fenghuang Wing (Wind Lv.4) - 10th War Fan
- Total of 9 Slots

[Arena]

- ELEMENTAL build
- C5 is most powerful, just make sure each of the brush strokes hit the enemy
- can wipe out 100% layer of HP
- with Sun Ce [EAUx3; OAx3], can wipe out 110% HP bar

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzLghB1YJbc

[Battlefield]

- SYN + DE + EAU build
- C5 is still good against officers, it does a lot of elemental damage, and
  good even when the officer is with a relatively small crowd
- C6, at 3-star proficiency, is excellent in crowds, since it is 360 range,
  crowds can't touch you, and leaves sporadically placed paint blobs to play
  with
- otherwise, C4 is also decent in medium sized crowds

--------------
DLC
--------------

Heavenly Brush (Wind Lv.4) - 10th Brush
Squeaky Hammer (Wind Lv.5) - 12th Axe
- Total of 9 Slots

[Battlefield]
- Musou gets a slight boost (more offhand Atk pts)

******
Ma Dai
******
- EX Attack is excellent in crowds
- Both musous are extremely powerful, use them liberally

============================================================
5.) Flail [P5]
============================================================

Heaven's Comet (Wind Lv.4) - 10th Flail
Fenghuang Wing (Wind Lv.6) - 10th War Fan
- Total of 9 Slots

[Arena]

- ELEMENTAL build
- C4 or C2 deal 2 elemental hits
- shaves off 80% layer of HP
- with Sun Ce [EAUx3; OAx3] shaves off 90% of HP

[Battlefield]

- SYN + DE + EAU
- Synergy gives firepower to musou attacks, since there's a lot of slots to
  play with
- C4 is still the way to go as far as both generals and crowds go, just be sure
  to follow up with a musou for defense

--------------
DLC
--------------

Heaven's Comet (Wind Lv.4) - 10th Flail
Squeaky Hammer (Wind Lv.5) - 12th Axe
- Total of 9 Slots

[Battlefield]
- Musou Power gets slightly boosted (more offhand Atk pts)

*******
Cao Ren
*******
- EX Attack drains a miniature amount of HP, pretty negligible since it'll just
  be neutralized by stupid archers in the vicinity, Cao Ren's invincible
  through the whole animation though
- 1st Musou is good at escaping or for following up C4
- 2nd Musou, unfortunately, only deals respectable damage to the grabbed
  opponent, unlike Da Qiao's 2nd Musou, which damages the surrounding enemies
  as well

*********
Dong Zhuo
*********
- EX Attack is visually impressive, but impractical in battle
- 1st musou has good range and can clear crowds
- 2nd musou is pretty hard to aim, the officer will most likely anticipate and
  block it

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zV-Bd3zVIaM

============================================================
6.) Lance [P6]
============================================================

Qilin Horn     (Wind Lv.4) - 7th Lance
Fenghuang Wing (Wind Lv.6) - 10th War Fan
- Total of 8 Slots

[Arena]

- ELEMENTAL build
- C6 is INSTANT KILL, pretty long to get to it though
- C4 is also INSTANT KILL, and easier to get to as well
- EAUx3 makes no difference as EAUx2 can pretty much INSTANT KILL anyway

[Battlefield]

- SYN + DE + EAU build
- C4 or C6 against both officers and crowds, but getting hit is inevitable, get
  used to it

--------------
DLC
--------------

Qilin Horn     (Wind Lv.4) - 7th Lance
Squeaky Hammer (Wind Lv.6) - 12th Axe
- Total of 8 Slots

[Battlefield]
- Musou power is boosted (more offhand Atk pts)

*******
Deng Ai
*******
- EX Attack is excellent defense after monstrous C6
- Musou 1 is fairly powerful in crowds

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPyDWWwhQYE

============================================================
7.) Crossbow [P7]
============================================================

[Arena]

Elite Crossbow (Fire Lv.3) - 10th Crossbow
Fenghuang Wing (Wind Lv.6) - 10th War Fan
- Total of 8 Slots

- ELEMENTAL build
- you don't need Ice in the Arena
- C5 is the only charge attack in the moveset that can hit twice and both are
  elemental
- can wipe off 40% layer of HP bar
- [EAUx3] can wipe off 45% layer of HP bar

[Battlefield]

Dragoon Crossbow (Ice Lv.4) - 7th Crossbow
Divine Hoops     (Ice Lv.6) - 10th Wheels
- Total of 7 Slots

- SYNERGY build
- musou spam is you best bet, the moveset is too slow (and very bad recovery
  times) to be useful

--------------
DLC
--------------

Flying Fox     (Slash Lv.3) - 11th Crossbow
Squeaky Hammer (Wind  Lv.5) - 12th Axe
- Total of 8 Slots
- ELEMENTAL build

[Arena]
- offense increases due to two of the elemental triad joined together
- C5 can shave off 60% layer of HP
- [EAUx3] C5 can shave off 75% layer of HP

[Battlefield]
- dependence on C5 again
- Musou for defense now

********
Lian Shi
********
- good thing her Musou 2 is a healing musou, she'll need it with the Crossbow
- EX Attack is decent in crowds, but unsafe in dense crowds
- Musou 1 does decent damage

============================================================
8.) Double Voulge [P8]
============================================================

Royal Voulge (Lightning Lv.2) - 7th Double Voulge
Fenghuang Wing (Wind Lv.6) - 10th War Fan
- Total of 7 Slots
- ELEMENTAL build

[Arena]

- C5 deals numerous elemental hits, if on 3 star proficieny, be sure you are as
  near as possible (point blank) to the enemy
- shaves off 180% layer of HP
- [EAUx3] INSTANT KILL; Sun Ce gets it done well
- C5 > C4 can kill an officer without EAUx3

[Battlefield]

- put Officer Assassins for Musou power
- C5 is unsafe in crowds
- C3 is a decent musou filler
- C4 is a decent crowd clearer
- C3 > musou to whittle down crowds, then C5 for the kill

--------------
DLC
--------------

Paddle         (Wind Lv.2) - 12th Double Voulge
Squeaky Hammer (Wind Lv.5) - 12th Axe
- Total of 7 Slots
- SYN + DE + EAU build

[Arena & Battlefield]
- Musou Power is now boosted (more offhand Atk pts and shift to Synergy)

*********
Zhang Fei
*********
- EX Attack is not very useful, has bad range and long recovery time
- Musou 1 is quite powerful and notable

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LzexvhVForo

*******
Wei Yan
*******
- EX Attack is good, but not it large crowds, and has somewhat long execution
  time
- Musou 1 is for escape, Musou 2 for crowds and officers

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmulDgvcYrc

============================================================
9.) Great Sword [P9]
============================================================

Rune Blade (Lightning Lv.2) - 7th Great Sword
Vajra Axe  (Lightning Lv.5) - 10th Axe
- Total of 7 Slots
- SYN + DE + EAU build

[Arena]

- dependent on Lightning Element so we're stacking the Levels with DE
- C5's hidden extra forward shockwave has high elemental damage, more
  consistent with 2-star proficiency
- C5's hidden shockwave is done by holding Triangle while doing C5 for about 2
  seconds after C5's quake is executed, hold it longer and another quake will
  activate instead
- C5 extra can INSTANT KILL, or shave off 150-180% (inconsistencies of
  Lightning Element)
- works with 3-star proficiency, but the enemy has to be at the tip of the
  range (where the whirlwinds can't reach them)

[Battlefield]

- still C5 extra, demolishes officers and crowds alike, use musous liberally
  for defense
- C4 is also good for crowds if they are too dense

*********
Guan Ping
*********
- EX Attack will never see light, it doesn't chain from C5 extra
- Both musous have exactly identical uses and damage, use whichever you prefer
  for defense

*********
Xiahou Ba
*********
- EX Attack is a good follow-up for C4, but it has long recovery time so chain
  a musou after if needed
- Both musous are excellent crowd clearers and Musou 2 is good against officers

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVJq_Lc1Xsw

============================================================
10.) Pike [P10]
============================================================

Golden Glory   (Wind Lv.3) - 7th Pike
Fenghuang Wing (Wind Lv.6) - 10th War Fan
- Total of 7 Slots

[Arena]

- ELEMENTAL build
- C6 does the most damage, can shave off 70% layer of HP
- [EAUx3] can wipe off 80% layer of HP

[Battlefield]

- SYN + DE + EAU build
- unfortunately, Golden Glory only gets 2 slots so just 1 EAU must be
  compromised
- C6 is somewhat unsafe in large crowds, so only use it on the officer when
  he/she is in a small crowd
- Normal Attacks string has good range so you can spam them since you're on a
  Synergy Build, and the last hit is elemental

NOTE: The 3 Pike-users have at least one powerful, unblockable musou. Those
      musou attacks can be used for offense alternatively with C6

As such, the three pike users can also use the following build:

Green Dragon (Lightning Lv.3) - 10th Pike
Vajra Axe    (Lightning Lv.5) - 10th Axe
- Total of 7 Slots

--------------
DLC
--------------

Bug Catcher    (Wind Lv.3) - 12th Pike
Squeaky Hammer (Wind Lv.5) - 12th Axe
- Total of 8 Slots

[Arena & Battlefield]
- gains 1 Additional Slot
- Musou power slightly boosted (more offhand Atk pts)

********
Xu Huang
********
- EX Attack is something that's unnecessary to use, considering the protective
  nature of the moveset and C3 is worthless anyway
- 2nd Musou is slightly weaker than the 1st Musou, but is unblockable, so 2nd
  Musou all the way

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rlVETyjksxY

*******
Lu Meng
*******
- EX Attack is also worthless, and C5 has somewhat large execution time
- the aerial musou is extremely powerful, has large area of effect, and can
  devastate crowds, plus as an aerial musou, officers have a hard time blocking
- ground musou is useful for escape

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhQOX7U8vPU

*******
Guan Yu
*******
- EX Attack should only be used in a safe place, it has a large recovery time
  and the Pike isn't a Speed Weapon (no jump cancel)
- 2nd musou is powerful and unblockable, chain it after the last normal attack
  or a C6

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6S5QgI9usaI

============================================================
11.) Tonfa [P11]
============================================================

[Arena]

Divine Tonfa   (Ice  Lv.3) - 10th Tonfa
Fenghuang Wing (Wind Lv.6) - 10th War Fan
- Total of 10 Slots

- ELEMENTAL build
- C4 mainly, the second hit is the elemental one
- Ice is useful with the Tonfa's "attack cancel" feature.
- Basically, C3 > C4 > C3 > C4 a infinitum, as long as you're lucky and the
  enemy gets frozen off C3
- C4 can shave off 1/4 a layer of HP, and C3 can shave off 1/6
- [EAUx3] C4 can shave off 35% layer of HP, C3 can shave off 10%

[Battlefield]

Divine Tonfa (Ice Lv.3) - 10th Tonfa
Divine Hoops (Ice Lv.6) - 10th Wheels
- Total of 10 Slots

- SYNERGY build
- pretty unreliable like the Wheels
- attack cancel feature is dangerous in crowds, considering the normal attack
  string has very bad reach
- C4 > attack cancel is not very good in dense crowds
- C6's punching animations is INVINCIBLE, and has a 360 shockwave at the end,
  so use it instead in crowds
- musou spam for officers

--------------
DLC
--------------

Arm of the Law (Wind Lv.3) - 12th Tonfa
Squeaky Hammer (Wind Lv.5) - 12th Axe
- Total of 10 Slots
- SYN + DE + EAU build

[Arena]
- offense rises up (double Wind Element)
- C4 shaves off 60% layer of HP; C3 can shave off 20%
- [EAUx3] C4 shaves off 75% layer of HP; C3 can shave off 25%

[Battlefield]
- boosts up Musou power significantly (more offhand Atk pts + Synergy)

******
Sun Ce
******
- EAUx3 is wasted because of the Tonfa element limitation
- EX Attack is good defense after C6
- Musous are very powerful, and even deadly with Officer Assassin x3

============================================================
12.) Club [P12]
============================================================

[Arena]

Soul Scepter   (Wind Lv.2) - 10th Club
Fenghuang Wing (Wind Lv.6) - 10th War Fan
- Total of 8 Slots

OR

Holy Comet     (Slash Lv.3) - 7th Club
Fenghuang Wing (Wind Lv.6) - 10th War Fan
- Total of 8 Slots

- ELEMENTAL build
- C3 does 3 elemental hits (just tap triangle once so that you don't get
  straight to the EX Attack)
- shaves off 85% layer of HP
- [EAUx3] shaves off 95% of a layer of HP

[Battlefield]

- SYN + DE + EAU build
- C3 gets good 360 degree coverage, just be sure to follow up with a musou if
  surrounded
- Best with 3-star proficiency, whirlwind immensely helps the normal attacks
  from crowds

--------------
DLC
--------------

[Arena]

Soul Scepter   (Wind Lv.2) - 10th Club
Squeaky Hammer (Wind Lv.5) - 12th Axe
- Total of 8 Slots

OR

Holy Comet     (Slash Lv.3) - 7th Club
Squeaky Hammer (Wind  Lv.5) - 12th Axe
- Total of 8 Slots

OR

Disintegrator  (Lightning Lv.2) - 11th Club
Squeaky Hammer (Wind      Lv.5) - 12th Axe
- Total of 8 Slots

- Now the club's got ALL three of the elemental triads at your disposal, choose
  what element you dig :P

[Battlefield]

Soul Scepter   (Wind Lv.2) - 10th Club
Squeaky Hammer (Wind Lv.5) - 12th Axe
- Total of 8 Slots

- Musou gets a slight boost (more offhand Atk pts)

******
Xu Zhu

*********
Huang Gai
*********
- EX Attack is unsteerable, and also bad recovery time
- 1st musou can do damage even if it misses an enemy

============================================================
13.) Twin Axes [P13]
============================================================

Sun & Moon     (Lightning Lv.4) - 7th Twin Axes
Fenghuang Wing (Wind Lv.6) - 10th War Fan
- Total of 8 Slots
- ELEMENTAL build

[Arena]

- C6 deals 4 elemental hits, 360 range, crowd clearer, but not very consistent
  if used with Zhang Liao's EX
- The attack speed buff of Zhang Liao's EX messes up C6, it misses one hit
- can shave off 1 1/3 of a layer of HP
- [EAUx3] can shave off 1 3/5 of a layer of HP

[Battlefield]

- put Officer Assassins for Musou power
- Normal attacks + whirlwind make you untouchable even in the largest crowds
- C6 demolishes officers and crowds alike

--------------
DLC
--------------

Sun & Moon     (Lightning Lv.4) - 7th Twin Axes
Squeaky Hammer (Wind      Lv.5) - 12th Axe
- Total of 8 Slots

- powers up Musou slightly (more offhand Atk pts)

NOTE:
I do not recommend the Golden Axes (Wind) in a SYN + DE + EAU setup as the
Twin Axes' C6 works optimally with the Lightning Element, as it puts the enemy
in place for the last set of hits to connect. Wind messes this up.

**********
Zhang Liao
**********
- EX Attack is good defensively as a buff to even make normal attacks and C6
  faster, gives slower offense to officers, but good in crowds
- Musou 1 is a good escape move, though I imagine you'll be needing it rarely

============================================================
14.) Spear [P14]
============================================================

Divine Spear   (Wind Lv.2) - 10th Spear
Fenghuang Wing (Wind Lv.6) - 10th War Fan
- Total of 7 Slots

[Arena]

- ELEMENTAL build
- C3 deals 2 elemental hits, during the last jab and strike
- Not a fan of Lightning in this weapon, messes up C3's ending, it ends up
  sending the enemy away
- easier to make C3 deal 2 elemental hits if you equip at least 1 Attack Range
  Up
- whirlwind is somewhat a hindrance to C3's 2 elemental hits sometimes
- C3 shaves off 50% layer of HP
- [EAUx3] C3 shaves off 60% layer of HP

[Battlefield]

- SYN + DE + 1 EAU
- C3 > musou mainly. Just tap the charge attack button once as going for all
  the jabs makes you a punching bag for stupid peons

--------------
DLC
--------------

Divine Spear   (Wind Lv.2) - 10th Spear
Squeaky Hammer (Wind Lv.5) - 12th Axe
- Total of 7 Slots

[Battlefield]
- slightly powers up Musou (more offhand Atk pts)

********

============================================================
15.) Twin Rods [P15]
============================================================

[Arena]

Heavenly Rods (Ice Lv.3) - 10th Twin Rods
Fenghuang Wing (Wind Lv.6) - 10th War Fan
- Total of 8 Slots

- ELEMENTAL build
- C3 (starting with the 2nd or 3rd rush attack) and C6 are unblockable
- only Taishi Ci can do the most damage in this weapon with his EX attack but
  the last hit (the elemental one) will only connect if:
1) the enemy was frozen by the last hit of C3, or
2) if not frozen by C3, you turn his back when he executes the first hit of his
   EX Attack, then face back for the quake
- If not Taishi Ci, C6 is ok but relatively weaker
- Taishi Ci's C3 + EX Attack can shave off 50% layer of HP
- C6 can shave off 15% of a layer of HP
- [EAUx3] C6 can shave off 20% a layer of HP

[Battlefield]

Heavenly Rods (Ice Lv.3) - 10th Twin Rods
Divine Hoops  (Ice Lv.6) - 10th Wheels
- Total of 8 Slots

- SYNERGY build
- Normal Attack string is excellent against crowds and very strong damage-wise
- demolish crowds with either normal attack string or C6, then setup officer
  with C3 and musou them to death

--------------
DLC
--------------

Killer Crop (Wind Lv.3) - 12th Twin Rods
Squeaky Hammer (Wind Lv.5) - 12th Axe

- Taishi Ci's C3 + EX Attack shaves off 95% layer of HP
- C6 shaves off 55% layer of HP
- [EAUx3] C6 shaves off 50% layer of HP

[Battlefield]
- SYN + DE + EAU build
- Charge Attack Power and Musou Power skyrocket (SYN + DE build, more offhand
  Atk pts)

*********
Taishi Ci

16.) Halberd [P16]
============================================================

[Arena]

Royal Halberd (Non-elemental) - 7th Halberd
Hell Piercer  (Non-elemental) - 6th Halberd
- Total of 6 Slots

- SYNERGY build
- Switch Attack > C6 does considerable damage
- the combo shaves off 160% of HP
- [SYNx3 - Lu Bu] the combo kills the officer

[Battlefield]

Black Dragon Halberd (Slash Lv.3) - 10th Halberd
Qinggang Sword       (Slash Lv.5) - 10th Rapier
- Total of 8 Slots

- SYN + DE + EAU build
- more seal slots, but does not make use of Switch Attack because it is unsafe
- C3 for crowds and musou filling
- unblockable C6 for officer damage or setting up officers for a musou

*****
Lu Bu
*****

Royal Halberd (Non-elemental) - 7th Halberd
Hell Piercer  (Non-elemental) - 6th Halberd
- Total of 6 Slots

- ONLY for Lu Bu, due to his SYNx3
- SYNERGY build
- Offense is entirely dependent on Normal Attacks and Aerial Musou
- make sure you have crowds to build the meter on, otherwise you'll have
  difficulties if you ended up fighting an officer 1-on-1
- SYNERGY x 3 makes all his attacks kill peons like ants
- Musous become extremely powerful when officers are properly set up
- EX Attack is INVINCIBLE, and an excellent follow-up crowd demolisher to C3
- you can do C6, C6 > Musou 1, C3 > Musou 1 or C3 > EX Attack against officers
  in crowds

17.) Dagger-axe (DLC) [P17]
============================================================

[Arena]

Eclipse        (Fire Lv.6) - 10th Dagger-axe
Fenghuang Wing (Wind Lv.6) - 10th War Fan
- Total of 10 Slots

- ELEMENTAL build
- Ice is pointless, this is a grabbing moveset, Fire adds icing to the damage,
  even if only a little
- C5 does the most damage, 2 elemental hits
- C4 and C5 are excellent against multiple officers/crowds, due to the grab
  effect
- C4 will still continue even if it didn't grab anything
- C4 and C6 can grab juggled enemies, although C6 is VERY weak
- you can do C5 > C4 if you're lucky you could chain one more C4
- the combo can shave off 90% of HP
- [EAUx3] the combo can shave off 100% of HP

[Battlefield]

Eclipse         (Fire Lv.6) - 10th Dagger-axe
Sword of Heaven (Fire Lv.5) - 10th Sword
- Total of 10 Slots

- SYNERGY BUILD
- the Fire Dagger-Axe gives you 1 more seal slot than the Ice one
- built upon musou spamming due to unreliable elemental charge attacks
- C3 can reliably fill your musou in dense crowds, and the final hit guard
  breaks officers
- spam C4 and musou in both officers and crowds
- very weak if you don't have musou gauge in store, or no peons to fill musou
  on

--------------
DLC
--------------

Mochi Maker    (Wind Lv.6) - 12th Dagger-axe
Squeaky Hammer (Wind Lv.5) - 12th Axe

[Arena]

- ELEMENTAL build
- loses 1 Slot from original setup
- gains offensive jump due to double Wind element
- C5 > C4 combo can shave off 140% layer of HP
- [EAUx3] C5 > C4 combo can shave off 160% layer of HP

[Battlefield]

- SYN + DE + EAU build

============================================================
18.) Bomb (DLC) [P18]
============================================================

Demon Roar (Lightning Lv.5) - 10th Bomb
Vajra Axe  (Lightning Lv.5) - 10th Axe
- Total of 10 Slots
- SYN + DE + EAU build

[Arena]

- this weapon is best in the hands of Lu Bu, due to Synergy x3
- C3 to stun enemy, you can trick the enemy AI into making the last bomb hit
  100% on the enemy
- when you execute C3, throw bombs at the side of the enemy. When you see them
  lower their guard, quickly face them and end the charge attack
- Now run up to their face and execute a point blank, unguarded C4
- the C4 is guaranteed to 1 hit KO the enemy if you're Lu Bu [Synergyx3]
- If you're not Lu Bu, there might be a sliver of HP left. Well you got bombs
  on the floor, detonate them to finish the pesky officer off

[Battlefield]

- Normal Attacks to fill musou
- C4 to stagger officers from a distance and set up for a musou
- C3 > C4 above can work if the crowd is small
- horse charge has ridiculously fast musou charge

--------------
DLC
--------------

Takoyaki      (Slash Lv.5) - 12th Bomb
Eternal Agony (Slash Lv.5) - 10th Great Axe
- Total of 10 Slots
- SYN + DE + EAU build

OR

Dumpling Bomb  (Wind Lv.5) - 11th Bomb
Squeaky Hammer (Wind Lv.5) - 12th Axe
- Total of 10 Slots
- SYN + DE + EAU build

- both sets have advantages/disadvantages
- the first set needs you to trick the AI into falling for C3 again, but lets
  you instant-kill peons
- the second set lets you spam C3 without worrying about the enemy guarding,
  but you can't instant-kill peons
- I personally prefer the second one though

============================================================
19.) Mace (DLC) [P19]
============================================================

Thundersmash   (Slash Lv.2) - 10th Mace
Qinggang Sword (Slash Lv.5) - 10th Rapier
- SYN + DE + EAU build

[Arena]

- C3 > C4 shaves off 100% layer of HP
- C3's last hit is unblockable
- C1 activates elements, unlike most weapon C1's

[Battlefield]

- C3 is safe in crowds
- Normal attack string has very good coverage that you can start attacking even
  if you're surrounded by a crowd
- C3 > musou in most cases, or C3 > C4 for officers

============================================================
20.) Short Pike (DLC) [P20]
============================================================

Thunder Ko (Lightning Lv.3) - 7th Short Pike
Vajra Axe  (Lightning Lv.5) - 10th Axe
- Total of 7 Slots

[Arena]

- ELEMENTAL build
- generally weak elemental charges (they all deal roughly the same damage)
- C6 is unblockable, and is a grab (pretty similar to Sakon's C1-3 in the SW
  series)
- C4's 2nd hit (the elemental one) can't hit juggled enemies
- you could go C3 > C5
- charge attacks shave off about 35% of an HP bar

[Battlefield]

- SYN + DE + 1 EAU
- S-string or C5 mainly for crowds, with musou follow-ups
- C6 for officers

---------------------
DLC [Weapon Rank]
---------------------

Golden Ko (Slash Lv.3) - 11th Short Pike
Eternal Agony (Slash Lv.5) - 10th Great Axe
- Total of 8 Slots

OR

Rock God (Wind Lv.3) - 12th Short Pike
Squeaky Hammer (Wind Lv.5) - 12th Axe
- Total of 8 Slots

- SYN + DE + EAU build
- whichever setup works, the first has an advantage of instant-killing peons,
  most of the charge attacks are unblockable anyway

============================================================
21.) Great Axe (DLC) [P21]
============================================================

Eternal Agony (Slash Lv.5) - 10th Great Axe
Fenghuang Wing (Wind Lv.6) - 10th War Fan
- Total of 10 Slots
- ELEMENTAL build

[Arena]

- C4 is generally unblockable, but can't grab surrounding blocking officers.
  Wind is there to alleviate that
- C6 is sometimes blockable, but Wind makes sure it's 100% unblockable
- C4 and C6 can shave off 90% layer of HP
- [EAUx3] C4 and C6 can shave off
- you can link the charge attacks together if you can grab the officers again
  with your first normal attack after C4/C5/C6
- a combo of C5 > C4 > C6 can usually kill off the enemy, and that's without
  EAUx3

[Battlefield]

- S-string covers a VAST range, and pretty protective as it grabs enemies and
  officers alike mid-combo
- C4, C5 and C6 are extremely good crowd clearers, although they have BAD
  recovery time, so follow up with a Musou immediately

---------------------
DLC [Weapon Rank]
---------------------

Beast King (Wind Lv.5) - 11th Great Axe
Squeaky Hammer (Wind Lv.5) - 12th Axe
- Total of 10 Slots
- SYN + DE + EAU build

[Arena & Battlefield]
- one of the best weapons out there, as you're already covering ALL aspects of
  damage now, compounded with a great moveset
- Musou and Normal Attacks get a very big boost due to SYN + DE + EAU build
