I. Introduction

Hey!  I decided to write this FAQ after finding that there are about 100 cars
available for NASCAR Thunder 2002 on the Playstation 2.  If you have the PSOne
version of the game, there are no bonus cars, so this FAQ will not apply to
you.  If you want to e-mail me, go to my contributor recognition page (which is
linked at the top of this FAQ) and send messages to the e-mail found on that
page.

FAQ REVISION HISTORY

v1.0 - 12/05/01:  Everything is new, as this is the first version of the FAQ.

v1.1 - 12/29/01:  I added Fantasy Driver Info, the order of unlocking
                  secondary cars, and the extra skins for Dale Jarrett.

II. Unlocking Cars

The primary cars (and their alternate skins) are available when you get the
game.

The secondary cars are unlocked in career mode.  For each championship you win,
you get two at a time.

IV. FAQ

These are questions that have been e-mailed to me alot, so I'll them here to
save both of us some time.

Q.  How do you unlock Dale Earnhardt's car?
A.  You can't.  EA Sports left him out of the game at the request of Theresa
    Earnhardt, Dale Earnhardt Inc., and Richard Childress Racing.

Q.  Why are the driver names on the car instead of the sponsor for Rusty, Dale
    Jr., Sterling Marlin, and Mark Martin?
A.  EA is not allowed to put in the brand names of alcoholic beverages, which
    is what the sponsors of Rusty Wallace (Miller), Dale Earnhardt Jr. (Bud),
    and Sterling Marlin (Coors) are.  Mark Martin's real life sponsor,
    Pfizer/Viagra, is a drug, which are also not allowed in the game.  One of
    the beta versions, or at least the one Prima had, had Pfizer on the
    quarterpanels in a screen shot, but it was removed before the final
    version.

Q.  How do you unlock the NBC Sports Car?  The name 'Benny Parsons' unlocks the
    TNT Sports Car.
A.  Enter the name 'Benny Parsons2', Benny being the first name and 'Parsons2'
    being the last.
