     WALKTHROUGH

1.                                    INTRO
________________________________________________________________________________

You begin the game with an introduction to the world of Pokemon from the new 
Professor Rowan. He will answer any questions you have about the game in the 
beginning. You will then be asked to choose your gender and to pick a name.Then 
you'll choose your rival's name (We will refer to him as RIVAL for now). After 
all of that, you will be shrunken into the world of pokemon.

2.                                TWINLEAF TOWN
________________________________________________________________________________

You will start off in your room where you'll be watching a television program
based on the Rare Red Gyarados. Explore your room for a while, then go 
downstairs. You'll be caught by your mother, telling you that RIVAL wants to 
see you. Then walk outside. This is the tiny little place reffered to as 
Twinleaf Town. RIVAL'S house is located in the top-left corner of the town. Go 
to his house. As your on your way inside, he'll come charging out in a hurry 
and after a while of talking, RIVAL will quickly go back inside. Now enter the 
house and go up to his room on the second floor. He mentions that he is going 
to the lake, but doesn't tell exactly why. Later follow him up to the entrance 
of Route 201. After talking to him, you'll be leading the way to Verity 
Lakefront by going west on Route 201 eith RIVAL following right behind you.

3.                                LAKE VERITY
________________________________________________________________________________

Once you Enter Lake Verity, you'll see and overhear Professor Rowan and Dawn 
having a conversation. They will soon go away, accidently leaving behind a 
suitcase. You and RIVAL go to examine the suitcase, but then out of nowhere, 
two wild Starly attack both of you. Luckily you find three PokeBalls inside the 
professor's suitcase. WARNING: Whichever pokemon you choose to battle with will 
be your starting pokemon throughout the game. The three pokeballs contain the 
following starter pokemon...


TURTWIG - A grass/ground pokemon which is easy to train and lv. up. 
          An excellent choice for a much easier adventure.
 
PIPLUP - A water/metal pokemon which is the second hardest to train 
         and lv. up. A good choice for the first gym.
         
CHIMCHAR - A fire/fighting pokemon which is hard to train and lv. up.
           Although its hard to train, their are very few fire 
           pokemon in the game and i recommend choosing it.

After your easy battle with the starly, Dawn, the professor's assistant, comes 
over, worried about what the professor will say about her forgeting the 
briefcase and you two using the pokemon inside. She'll leave with the 
briefcase, but lets you hang onto the pokemon. Upon exiting Lake Verity, on 
your way back home, you'll meet up with Professor Rowan and Dawn again. This 
time Professor Rowan tells you to visit him later in Sandgem Town.

After your chat with the professor, go back home and talk to your mom. She'll 
tell you to visit the Professor in Sandgem Town. Then she'll give you a pair of 
Running Shoes to make your journey much, much easier, of course until you get a 
bike. you can run by holding down the B button while using the directional 
pad to steer yourself. Now, leave your home and head north towards route 201.

4.                                ROUTE 201
________________________________________________________________________________

There isn't much on this route so upon leaving Twinleaf Town, head north and 
you'll end up in Sandgem Town. Although before entering Sandgem, There is a 
girl you can talk to and she'll give you a free Potion.

5.                               SANDGEM TOWN
________________________________________________________________________________

Once you enter Sandgem Town, Dawn will greet you and take you into the 
Professor's lab. Upon entering the lab, RIVAL comes out, again in a hurry, 
talks to you a bit and then leaves. i You follow Dawn inside the and Professor 
Rowan will talk to you for a while and let you keep the Pokemon you chose 
earlier for your battle. He will also ask you if you want to go on a journey 
through the Sinnoh region, collecting data of pokemon you find on the new 
pokedex he gives you. After your conversation leave the lab.

Dawn will come outside with you and offer you a quick tour of Sandgem Town. 
First she will show you the pokemon center, where you can heal your pokemon. 
Then she'll show you the pokemon mart where you can buy items and pokeballs. 
After her little tour, she'll tell you that you should pay your mom a visit 
before going on your journey. After all that talking, you should head south to 
Sandgem beach and pickup an item ball containg an Anditote. After that, head 
back to Twinleaf Town by going west towards route 201.

6.                         TWINLEAF TOWN (REVISITED)
________________________________________________________________________________

Once your back home from Sandgem, your mom of course heard that you'll be 
taking on professor Rowan's task and is very exited. For your journey she'll 
hand you a Journal. Once your done talking to mom, RIVAL's mom walks into the 
house and asks for RIVAL. She then figures out that he ran off without saying 
goodbye and then asks you to deliver a Parcel to him. Once you obtain the 
Parcel exit your house and start on your pokemon journey.

7.                                 ROUTE 202
________________________________________________________________________________

After passing route 201 and going north from Sandgem Town, you'll arrive on 
Route 202. Before entering the grass, Dawn will stop and show you the teqhnique 
on catching a Pokemon. You'll search the grass with her for a while, until she 
finds a BIDOOF. She go's through the steps and after she catches the BIDOOF, 
she'll give you five pokeballs to catch your own. After talking to her go north 
on this route and you'll finaly battle your first trainer. Beat the trainer and 
head north into Jubilife City. Before entering Jubilife pickup an itemball with 
a potion inside.

8.                               JUBILIFE CITY 
________________________________________________________________________________

Once arriving in Jubilife City, Dawn, will come up and say that RIVAL is at the 
Trainers' School. Go to the building west of the pokemon center to find RIVAL. 
Once there, he's at the blackboard reading notes. Talk to him and Give him the 
Parcel. The Parcel, then turns out to be two Town maps. He'll give you one of 
the maps and then head to Oreburgh City, where the first gym is.

Leaving the school and going north, you'll be stopped by some guy giving away 
Poketechs. He will ask you to find three clowns around town. Each clown asks 
you a simple question and you have to answer each one correctly in order to 
obtain a coupon. HINT: THE ANSWER TO ALL THE QUESTIONS ARE "YES". Get all three 
coupons, then go back to the guy who asked you to find the clowns in the first 
place. He will then reward you with the all amazing poketech. After that go 
east to enter route 203.

9.                                ROUTE 203
________________________________________________________________________________

Now your on route 203. This is where you and RIVAL will have your first battle. 
Heres his pokemon, so you can be prepared.

RIVAL's Pokemon

STARLY - Lv. 7
PIPLUP/TURTWIG/CHIMCHAR - Lv. 9

Keep going east after you defeat RIVAL. On the way, battle trainers for 
experience. Later you'll see two itemballs which contain a Repel and a 
Pokeball. Pick those up, then head towards Oreburgh Gate. Talk to the man at 
the caves enterance and he will give you HM6 which contains Rock Smash, a very 
useful move that smashes rocks is your way. Unfortunetly, you won't be able to 
use this move it until you get your first badge.

10.                             OREBURGH GATE
________________________________________________________________________________

Go through the cave and battle the two remaining trainers. Then exit the cave 
and you'll be in Oreburgh City.

11.                             OREBURGH CITY
________________________________________________________________________________

Upon entering Oreburgh City , You'll notice this where the first gym is. A kid 
there will show you the gym. Then RIVAL will come out and say that the gym 
leader wnet off to Oreburgh Mine. So, in order to battle him go south from 
Oreburgh City an into the Oreburgh Mine.

12.                             OREBURGH MINE
________________________________________________________________________________

When you enter Oreburgh Mine, go right to pick up an X Defend. Keep going and 
you'll find about four workers. Talk to them and three of them will battle you. 
Then talk to the non-worker looking guy and he'll demonstrate a rock smash move 
to you. That was the gym leasder. He'll now leave and go back to the gym, so 
you can battle him. Wait, before you exit the mine explore the small mine to 
find a Potion and an Escape Rope. Now go out and find the gym again.

13.                             OREBURGH GYM
________________________________________________________________________________

Once entering the gym you'll see the gym leader at the back and two youngsters 
in between. YOu have the choice of battleing them or just using the stairs and 
bridge to cross over to the gym leader quicker. Here is the Gym Leader's 
pokemon...

ROARK's Pokemon

GEODUDE - Lv. 12
ONIX - Lv. 12
CRANIDOS - Lv. 14

All of his pokemon are rock type, so water and grass types would be very 
useful. After defeating Roark, he will award you with your first badge, the 
Coal Badge. This badge will now allow your Pokemon to use Rock Smash out of 
battle. He also gives you TM76, containg Stealth Rock.

14.                         OREBURGH GATE (Revisited)                     
________________________________________________________________________________

Leave the gym and go west towards Oreburgh Gate. RIVAL will come up and talk to 
you again. He tells his plans about getting to Eterna City by going through 
Jubilife City. Now, enter the cave again and you'll be in Jubilife before you 
know it. 

Althogh, if you want two more items, go north in the cave and use rock smash on 
the rocks in front of you. Then go down the stairs, going deeper into the cave. 
Smash some more rocks and then you'll be able to pick up a Stardust, a high 
priced bag of sand, and TM70, containing Flash. After getting those items go 
back up the stairs and out of the cave towards Jubilife city.

15.                          JUBILIFE CITY (Revisited)
________________________________________________________________________________

Upon exiting the cave, you should go west into Jubilife City . Then go north 
again to meet up with Professor Rowan and Dawn. You'll then notice that the two 
Team Galactic Grunts are giving them trouble and you'll be asked by Dawn to 
team up with her against them. After you defeat them, Professor Rowan will tell 
you what Team Galactic is trying to do and that you have to stop it. After 
that, they will leave and a reporter and her camera man will come up to you. 
They were impressed with your battleand want to interveiw you. They will later 
give you a Fashion Case. Now head north onto route 204.

16.                               ROUTE 204
________________________________________________________________________________

Their isn't much on this route, but a couple of trainers to battle. Pick up the 
Awakening near the first trainer and TM09, containing Bullet Seed, once you 
pass the Twin trainers. For now thats all you can do, so just follow up north 
and you'll arrive in Floaroma Town.

17.                             FLOAROMA TOWN
________________________________________________________________________________

You'll enter Floaroma Town and notice all the FLOWERS, FLOWERS and more FLOWERS 
that this town has. The only thing to do right now would be to go to the berry 
house. You can pick the two berries outside and inside the house there will be 
three girls. The one at the back of the house will trade your berries for 
Accessories. The girl on the left will give you a Sprayduck to water Berries, 
to grow faser. Finaly, the one on the right will give you a different Berry 
everyday. Now exit the house and head east. You'll come back here later, but 
for now, lets go onto route 205.

18.                               ROUTE 205
________________________________________________________________________________

When entering rout 205 thier are 2 berries you can get. Then thier will be a 
little girl asking you to help her daddy, who is held hostage by Team Galactic 
at Vally Windworks. Keep going east and you'll see a Galactic Grunt standing 
outside a big building, blocking the door to Vally Windworks. Battle him, and 
when you defeat him, he'll lock himself inside with the key. Then he'll tell 
you that his friends in Flaoroma Town have the other key to get in. So now, go 
all the way back to Floaroma Town, by going east on rout 205.

19.                        FLOAROMA TOWN (REVISITED)
________________________________________________________________________________

Once your back in Floaroma Town, go to the northwest part of town where the 
clearence between the trees are. Their were two Galactic Grunts their earlier, 
but since their gone, you can go through, and enter Floaroma Meadow.

18.                            FLOAROMA MEADOW
________________________________________________________________________________

Upon entering Floaroma Meadow, you'll see two Galactic Grunts trying to steal 
the Honey from some innocent guy. Talk to the Grunts and battle them. After 
that simple battle, the grunts will leave and accidently drop the works key. 
The guy will pick it up and give it to you. He will also give you Honey, which 
you can spread on certain trees to attract rare pokemon. Those certain tress 
are similar to the one next to the house, if you go east from where you had 
your battle. Now when thats done exit Floaroma Meadow.

19.                            VALLEY WINDWORKS
________________________________________________________________________________

After exiting the Meadow, go past Floaroma city, onto  route 205 and back to 
Vally Windworks. Open the door and go inside the building. You'll go through a 
couple of battles, until you finaly reach the red headed commander of Team 
Galactic. She is, but one of the three commanders you'll fight in the game, and 
also the easiest. Talk to her and she'll battle you. After defeating her, Team 
galactic will leave and the little girls daddy will thank you for rescuing him.

20.                           ROUTE 205 (REVISITED)
________________________________________________________________________________
 
Now, leave Vally Windworks and back onto route 205. Go north and cross the 
bridge. While walking you can pick up an a Pokeball and an X attack. Then 
you'll come up to some stairs go up and head north battling more trainers. you 
can also go east and battle another trainer, pick berries and pick up a Repel 
and a Super Potion. Then go north again and you'll come to a small house with a 
nice lady inside who can heal your pokemon. Then head north again and you'll 
soon enter Eterna Forest.

21.                              Eterna Forest
________________________________________________________________________________

Upon entering Eterna Forest, a girl named Cheryl will come up and ask you to 
walk with her, because she is scared of Team Galactic. While you battle your 
way through the forest, Cheryl will battle alongside you with her Lv. 15 
Chansey. Fortunetly it heals your pokemon after every battle. There are about 5 
items in the forest you should pick up and a haunted mansion you can visit 
later when you get HM 01 containing Cut. Navigate your way through the forest, 
which shouldn't be so hard and you'll soon see the exit. Cheryl will thank you 
and then you'll be alone again and on your way to Eterna City.

22.                            ROUTE 205 (Part 2)
________________________________________________________________________________

After exiting Eterna Forest, you'll still be on Route 205. Thier mwill be a 
couple of fisherman you can battle with here and some items. There are also 
plenty of Berries you can pick behind the pond There is a hidden Honey in the 
empty square next a fisherman and if you go south, past the bridge, there will 
be a potion waiting for you to pick up. Now that you have everything, continue 
west and you'll soon arrive in Eterna City.
