This is kind of mean and somewhat cheap, but if the girl you want doesn't have

red hearts by winter of year 1, you can make HER marry YOU. Show the blue 
feather 
to the 2 girls you don't like  and when they ask "are you serious?" say no. 
They 
will hate you and the girl you like will propose to you after year 1, since 
you 
HAVE to be married for year 2 and on (don't ask me why).
