Hints

Extra Colors

After finishing the game with a character, you can access new colors for him/her. All you need to do is press start while choosing him/her on the character select screen.

Extra Options

Successfully complete the game with fifteen different characters with the system set to "Normal". This will not work if it is set to "Original". This will unlock an extra options menu and Gill.

Gill's Strength Enhancer

When playing as Gill, use his taunt. If Gill performs his taunt successfully, his strength will be enhanced! This will work for his normal moves and even his Super Arts, the Meteor Strike and the Seraphic Wing. It won't work however, if Gill is hit during the taunt, and it will work only for a move. To enhance his strength again, Gill has to taunt again.

Cheats

Switch Screen Resolutions

At the Capcom logo, hold L + Start to switch to a low resolution mode. To switch back to high resolution interlaced mode, hold Start + X at the Capcom logo.

Alternate Costumes

Successfully complete arcade mode with any character, then save the game. Highlight any fighter, then hold Start and press any attack button at the character selection screen to change their costume color.

Unlock Everything

To unlock all the pages, Gill, and the Extra Option, here's what you have to do: Set the system directions to NORMAL. The Options screen can be set up any way you want. Beat the game with 5 people, you will earn page 8. Beat it with 5 more people, page 9 will be unlocked. Page 10 is unlocked by completing 5 more people. The last 4 to complete should unlock Gill. Beat it with Gill to unlock the Extra Options.

Taunt

Press L + R to taunt your opponent.

Play as Gill

Successfully complete the game and save. Then at the character selection screen, highlight Yun or Yang and press Up or Down to move off the screen.
