1. INTRODUCTION
=================================================================
This walkthrough is based upon the Demo version of MDK 2 for the
Dreamcast. This game was one of the most requested games on GameFAQs,
and I hope this small walkthrough will help someone out there. The
MDK demo comes with the March 2000 issue of the Official Sega
Dreamcast Magazine. MDK 2 is the sequel to one of the sleeper
PlayStation hits, and practically invented the sniper-mode (a-la
Goldeneye). This demo is gorgeous, and plays well, but only after
you get used to the controls.

5. Walkthrough
====================================================================

You'll begin in a large room with tons of stuff to do. This room acts as a
tutorial room, and will help you get used to the different controls. Do exactly
what the guy tells you to do, and you'll be fine.

When you start, run towards the doorway that is blocked off by bright pink
lasers, and this will start your tutorial. A man will explain to you how to use
the controls. After he is done talking, go and stand on the arrow in the center
of the room and face the exit. This is where you will learn how to shoot. You'll
now need to face the exit to see the targets. Now use the R trigger to shoot all
of the annoying targets.

After blowing up the two targets, you'll need to find a grendae that the
professor has hidden somewhere in the room. This is easy to find, since it's
marked with a giant X and arrow. Go to it and run over it to add it to your
inventory. You'll need to throw it, so press Up on the D-pad to throw it.

After throwing the grenade, you'll need to learn how to glide with your cool ass
parachute. Run over to the platform marked with an arrow, then jump onto it with
L trigger. Now jump to the platform closest to you. After doing this, you'll
need to use your parachute to get to the next platform. Run and jump, then hit L
again to bring out your parachute and glide over to the floating platform. Now
jump to the next platform to complete this training excersise.

Now you need to find the giant fan that the proffesor has turned on for you.
Find it in the middle of the room, near the exit. Stand on it, and when you're
ready, press L to jump, then press Y again to bring out your parachute. Hold
down on L to keep it out, and this will cause you to float into the air. While
in the air, float over to the large platform above you.

On this platform, you'll need to get the sniper grenade. Pick it up, then run
over to the arrow on the edge of the platform, then press Down on the D-Pad to
enter sniper mode. Use the sniper grenade to zoom in and hit the two targets
near the exit. After disposing of these targets, press left or right on the D-
pad to switch ammo, and hit the big target with the sniper grenade. Now to leave
the room, you'll have to snipe the lock off the door, then you can leave to
battle aliens.

After leaving this room, you'll find yourself in a short tunnel. Run to the end
of this tunnel, then fall down the pit, using your parachute to glide down
safely. In this room, you'll see a small hole in the wall, and a baddie looking
through it. When his looks through it, snipe him. After doing this, he'll want
to fight. Strife and shoot him enough to kill him, then move on the the next
tunnel and pit.

Go down this tunnel like before, and fall down the pit, and into another room.
Be sure to pick up the Dummy Decoy before falling into the pit. Jump down, and
here you'l find many baddies who are willing to fight you. You'll have to kill
two guys at a time here. Your goal is to snipe the floating orb that is
protecting the exit, and leave safely. After killing two guys, you should have
some time before they regenerate. Find the floating orb, snipe it, then use the
floating platforms to glide your way to safety through the now open doorway.

After exiting, you should view a cool cut-scene with the Dog character. After
this cut-scen ends, you will take control of the dog. In the first room you are
in, you'll need to find the fake walls that you can shoot down. You'll know
which walls are fake because when you shoot them, a life bar will show up on the
screen. Some of these walls hide guns and other goodies. You'll be able to pick
up some cool weapons, like gatlings guns, magnums, pistols, and uzis. The cool
part about being the Dog is that he has four arms, which means you can carry and
use FOUR guns at once! This is extremely cool. Now find the hidden door that is
concelealed by a fake wall, and go through it, and into another tunnel.

Follow the tunnel, destroy the floating orbs, go into the room at the end and
pick up some more guns, and kill the huge sleeping baddie. Go back to the main
room and go through another doorway that is also concealed by a fake door. Go
down the tunnel and destroy the floating orbs that are in this hallway, and go
into another room with some baddies and weapons. Now go back into the main room,
and find the last hidden door, which you then have to destroy to get through the
doorway. There should be some fire-ball type of enemies that are on the ground.
Kill these, head down the hallway, and go into the room at the end.

In this room, you'll encounter plenty of baddies and three regenerating uzis in
the middle of the room. There are four rooms in the corners of this room, and
two of them have yellow smoke coming out of them. Go into those rooms, and
destroy the things on the ceiling that the yellow smoke is coming out of. After
destroying both of these, go back to the main room (with the uzis), and find the
destroyable door. Blow it up, then go through it to exit the level with the dog.

The next part of the demo is where you play as the professor. Walk forward to
enter the kitchen. Pick up the bread and the toaster on the counter. Now press
right and left on the D-Pad to equip them. To combine the toaster and bread and
make toast, equip them both, then press R trigger to make toast. Now press right
on the D-pad to select the toast, then eat it. After this training is complete,
the large door will open. Enter it, and go down this hallway.

Now you'll enter a room with three doors. Go into the green door, then in the
next room, pick up the leaf blower near the entrance. Go to the end of this room
and use the leaf blower to blow all of the baddies towards the giant man-eating
plant. The plat will eat them up, and they'll be out of your way. After all of
the baddies have been eaten, the demo will end. You have completed the MDK 2
Demo. Congratualtions!
