LOADING NEXT CHAPTER.....ENEMIES
LOADED

Enemies that you WILL encounter.

Antlion
First Appearance: Highway 42
Kinda like dogs mixed with beetles.
They get pissed if you try to stand on sand.
The only way to tame them is with bug-bait.

Antlion Guard
First Appearance: Sandtraps
Bug-bait has no effect on this creature.
You probably wondered where all the antlions were coming from.
Hello, mom.
Shrugs off explosions and has a nasty charge attack.
Kinda stupid.

Barnacle
First Appearance: Route Kanal
Never ever touch the strings that drop from the ceiling.
Barnacles use their long sticky tounges to catch a meal.
They really prefer human brains.

Combine Soldier
First Appearance: Water Hazard
These guys have slightly different suits than the average combine metro.
And they're a bit tougher too.
They often arrive on dropships.

Combine Metro Police
First Appearance: Point Insertion
You'll see many of these. They are the security for City 17.
They say "Move Along" a lot, and they wave electric stix around.

Combine Sniper
First Appearance: We Don't Go to Ravenholm...
See a dark window? Some smart-ass sniper putting you
down? Chuck a grenade in there. Boom. Watch the sniper
fall to his death.

Headcrab
First Appearance: Red Letter Day
These tiny turkeys attempt to couple with your head.
They turn the host into a zombie, taking over all the nervous systems.
The more dead the host is, the more pain it causes the headcrabs.
As Barney says, "Watch out for the headhumpers, Gordon!"

Fast Headcrab
First Appearance: We Don't Go To Ravenholm...
You'll notice these guys have longer legs. Yea, faster
than your average headcrab. They still do the same damage, though.

Poison Headcrab
First Appearance: We Don't Go To Ravenholm...
Many players can recollect the horrible sound these guy make...
They may seem scary, but they actually can't kill you; only
poison you. Your health will not go below1 HP.

Itchyosaur
First Appearance: Red Letter Day
Swimming beasts that seem to be the offspring of a shark and
a dinosaur. Although these floating horrors are rare, don't underestimate
what they can do to you if they get close.

Leech
First Appearance: Route Kanal
Tiny swimming worms that bite your skin.
They are too small to kill, so you'll just have to
avoid them.

Manhack
First Appearance: Route Kanal
Levitating metal choppers.
Manhacks will chop you up if you try to get up-close-and-personal.
Use a pistol to put a Manhack back to the scrap heap.

Stalker << Episode One Enemy
First Appearance: Episode One Chapter One
Almost like Combine with no suit.
They don't actually hurt you, but become nasty annoyances.
You'll see.

Strider
First Appearance: Point Insertion
You rarely fight these giant behemoths.
Just stay out of their way.

Zombie
First Appearance: We Don't Go to Ravenholm...
Ravenholm is infested with headcrab zombies.
Nasty bloody mindless things they are.
Use the gravity gun to pick up a saw and shoot it straight at them.
But watch out, as some zombies are legless but still live.
They are extremely vulnerable to fire.

Zombine (Zombie Combine) << Episode One Enemy
First Appearance: Episode One Chapter Two
After the Citadel takes heavy damage, the combine start losing
control. When you first encounter these dudes, you'll know
that they cannot control the headcrabs anymore.
They're fast, and deadly in groups.
Some will even grab a grenade and attempt suicide in
th hopes of taking you out.

Fast Zombie
First Appearance: We Don't Go to Ravenholm...
When a fast headcrab takes a bite. They rip the skin
clean off the body, and can get complete control
of their hosts.

Poison Zombie
First Appearance: We Don't Go to Ravenholm...
Yup, even poison zombies need a host. These walking
horrors carry around some of the headcrab's pals.
Even though they are rare, never underestimate one.

LOADING NEXT CHAPTER.....LEVEL HELP
LOADED
ERROR: SOME FILES MISSING
CHAPTER ONE: POINT INSERTION
It's all simple. You get a, shall we say...greeting from the G-Man
at the start. Gordon turns out to be on a train, where he is
supposed to board another train to Nova Prospect (prison).
But Barney saves the day by disguising as a combine and leading
Gordon to a staff room torture chamber.
But the combine soon wise up and figure out Gordon may be dangerous to
their leader. No, I'm not gonna spill the beans.
CHAPTER TWO: RED LETTER DAY
Now this is where it really begins. You meet up with one of Gordon's
colleagues from Black Mesa who gets you back into the Hazard Suit (Mark V).
You also get introduced to Alyx Vance, and Lamarr, the doc's headcrab pet.
They try to teleport you to Black Mesa East but as usual something goes wrong
and Gordon ends up walking there. As the doc said, "Trouble tends to follow
Gordon in his wake."
CHAPTER THREE: ROUTE KANAL
Getting to Black Mesa East won't be easy, since the combine are now hot on your
trail and are prepared to have a wild firefight.
You need to cross sewers, combine camps, headcrab homes, and water works
to get through.
Get your toilet paper; it's gonna be a long haul.
CHAPTER FOUR: WATER HAZARD
The long trek to Black Mesa East continues. Gordon however
has come across a speedboat which greatly helps speed up things.
Combine are now pouring at you and throwing new traps such as blockades,
water mines and other stuff.
CHAPTER FIVE: BLACK MESA EAST
Finally! You've arrived at a resting point in the game.
Here you receive the Gravity Gun and learn it's uses.
You also get to meet Alyx's pet called Dog.
CHAPTER SIX: WE DON'T GO TO RAVENHOLM...
Scary chapter. Gordon encounters zombies, headcrabs and a monk who gives him the
shotgun. If you like haunted villages with crazed zombies, head sucking turkeys
and
tenacious monks, you'll love this chapter.
CHAPTER SEVEN: HIGHWAY 16
The only way to get to Eli is to go to Nova Prospekt. The safest route is along
the highway, along the coast. So grab your buggy and let's ride.
Just watch out for zombies and combine stops along the way.
CHAPTER EIGHT: SANDTRAPS
As the buggy ride goes on, you arrive at a rebel base. They tell you that
combine are planning to attack them with dropships and they need your help.
Use the RPG you were given. After the base, you travel through the secret tunnel
in the lighthouse and have one last obstacle to face: a beach crawling with
wild
antlions. As you approach the beach, someone says "No! Don't step on the sand!
It
makes the antlions crazy!" And you see why. Rule #1: NEVER step on the sand.
CHAPTER NINE: NOVA PROSPEKT
Travel along the beach to the prison and use your new army of antlions to
attack
the
combine posts along the way. Then you need to climb the cliffs to the walls of
the
place, finding a way through. It's gonna be long hard and tough, and that's
just
getting inside!

MOST ASKED QUESTION!!!
Q: How can I beat the last bit at the end of Chp. 15 where Dr. Breen tries
to escape???
A: Use your RPG and blow those choppers out of the sky. If you
run out of ammo, use the All Weapons cheat to get some more. Fire
a few shots at the craft in which Dr. Breen is escaping.
HINT: Die all the time? Use the god cheat to stay alive.
