If this is your first time reading one of my many works please note that this guide uses a very in-depth find function. This guide will cover every aspect of the game - Walkthrough, Collectibles, and all Craftable Recipes. Important items are always bolded and bracketed [LIKE THIS] so that the reader doesn't miss out on important items. Please enjoy this guide and use it to it's fullest to accomplish what you need, whether it be simply beating the game or gaining 100% completion. Skill Tree Categories: Fury, Combat, Survival Sam B was booked by the Royal Palms Resort to perform his well known song "Who Do You Voodoo?" at a high profile hotel party. He gladly took the chance to play this gig. Once strong, self-confident and proud, Sam B has had a troubled past and a history of drug and alcohol abuse, as his private life became caught in a haze of fake friends and bad advisors. Xian Mei ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Specialty: Blade Weapons Health: 90 Speed: 100 Stamina: 100 Fury: When Xian Mei's Fury mode is activated she takes out a knife with greatly increased damage and speed. Skill Tree Categories: Bloodrage, Combat, Survival Born and raised in China, she chose an occupation that allowed her to leave her country of birth in order to experience different people and cultures - Banoi Island is her first placement outside of her homeland. She is a fast learner, intelligent, and also - as a passionate sportswoman - quick on her feet. Having just arrived at the island, she was responsible for a myriad of menial tasks at the hotel, before starting work as a receptionist. This opportunity to meet and greet all the different nationalities that visited the hotel was ideal for Xian Mei, as it provided a perfect source of inspiration for her dreams of traveling the globe. The night before the zombie plague seemingly takes over the island, Xian Mei can be found in the hotel bathroom assisting an injured woman who is lying on the floor, presumably infected with the zombie virus. Logan Carter ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Specialty: Thrown Weapons Health: 100 Speed: 100 Stamina: 80 Fury: When Logan's Fury mode is activated he is able to wield explosive knives. These cause Area of Effect damage, lasting 10 seconds before resetting the Fury Meter. Skill Tree Categories: Fury, Combat, Survival A former football star, spoiled life and successful in every possible way, Logan's ego finally put an end to his bright future. Taking part in a reckless street race with tragic consequences, Logan not only killed a young woman - his unfortunate passenger; he also fractured his knee, putting an end to his sports career. His fall from stardom inevitably followed and he plunged swiftly into a life of bitterness and despair. In an attempt to get away from the demons hunting him, he gladly takes the chance to experience the beauties and wonders of Banoi. Purna ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Specialty: Firearms Health: 100 Speed: 100 Stamina: 90 Fury: Unlimited use of her revolver (For a short ammount of time) Skill Tree Categories: Fury, Combat, Survival Purna is a former officer of the Sydney Police department. After losing her career when she shot a child molester who could not be touched legally because of his wealth and connections, Purna then turned to working as a bodyguard for VIPs in dangerous places all over the world. She is hired not just for her skills but her looks as wealthy men did not mind showing up with Purna on their arm. She has a hatred of people with enough money to ignore legalities and wishes to finish off the child molester that caused her to lose her job. =============================================================================== WALKTHROUGH [04.00.00] =============================================================================== The Walkthrough will cover the game from beginning to end, starting with the Main Quests and giving the option for all the Sidequests before each Act is completed. Any collectible items will be denoted in Main Quest headers and any collectibles not found while completing quests will be added to a section at the end of each Act. Before leaving the room check the bathroom for [MEDIUM MEDKIT]. After leaving the room head left into the open room. Search the [BAG], [CLOSETS], and the [DRAWER] then leave the room and progress down the hall. Search the numerous [BAGS] and enter the room to the left. Search this room for valuables then break down the door down to reach the next room. There isn't much in this room to be looted. Head back into the hall and into the larger corridor. Try opening the door on the left to update the quest. Head out towards the balcony for a short scene then enter the elevator shaft on the left. Bust open the hatch and drop into the elevator for another scene. Search the area then head down the hall and turn right. Be ready to run as soon as you reach the progress mark on the minimap. The infected horde chases you down, so turn and sprint through the newly opened behind you to escape and enter a scene. When you awake, grab the [FACT] at the head of the bed for [BANOI HERALD EXCERPT #1] then head to the front of the shack. The group is panicked because Sinamoi, the man who saved your life, is out on the beach fighting off the undead. Before you can leave the shack you must grab the [PADDLE] near the door. Once outside, line up some headshots on the Walkers to take them down quickly. Leave the building and search the beach for weapons and items. At the end of the dock is a [METAL BOX] containing a random weapon. Follow the quest marker up the steps to the south until you reach the top where a Walker awaits. Kill it and progress down the path to reach the pool area. Turn the corner past the small hut and make your way around the pool. If you start to take damage from the Walkers there are plenty of [ENERGY DRINKS] strewn across the benches. Make your way up the steps to another small pool area - this one is filled with blood and a crying Ted B. Talk to him if you want and loot the [DIVING KNIFE] then enter Bungalow #11. Kill the Walker that's hunched over then search this first room to find a [RECORDING] of [TAPE #01 STARTING THE INVESTIGATION]. Break down the door and move to the bathroom where a Walker waits to ambush. Grab the [LIFEGUARD SECURITY KEYCARD] then make your way back to Sinamoi. If you follow the path provided on the minimap you will come across a bungalow where you can hear music playing. Loot the [PERSONAL ID] in the blue suitcase in front of the bungalow to obtain [ID CARD #001]. Clean out this building of Walkers and loot then return to Sinamoi. After speaking to Sinamoi the quest is completed, be sure to grab the [NAIL'D MOD] from him. The next main quest, [EXODUS], starts immediately after completing this one. _______ | _ | |. 1___| |. __)_ |: 1 | |::.. . |xodus [04.03.00] +`-------'--------------------------------------------------------------------+ |======================================+======================================| | COLLECTIBLE | REWARD | |--------------------------------------|--------------------------------------| | Banoi Herald Excerpt 2 | Homemade Cleaver | | Banoi Herald Excerpt 3 | 600 Experience | | ID Card #002 | | |-----------------------------------------------------------------------------| | OBJECTIVES | |-----------------------------------------------------------------------------| | 1. Talk to Sinamoi. | | 2. Go to the Lifeguard Tower and get rid of all the undead in the area. | | 3. Use a card reader to get to Lifeguard Tower. | | 4. Get inside the Lifeguard Tower. | | 5. Contact Sinamoi usig the radio at the main deck. | ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Talk with Sinamoi to accept this quest. Head out along the beach, killing the undead as they appear. As you progress you should notice a Walker banging on a bathroom door. Kill it and the other Walker inside the door and check this area for loot. Just past this area you will hear a man, Haris, screaming for help as undead try to break into his vehicle. Kill all the Walkers to save Haris and receive [500 EXPERIENCE]. Follow him into the hut where you can find various items. Loot the [FACT] on the desk for [BANOI HERALD EXCERPT #2] then go to the back room. Loot this room for all kinds of building materials then use the [WORKBENCH] to repair and upgrade your weapons. Leave through the back door and go behind this building to find a [WEAPON CHEST]. Continue along the beach until you hear the cries of the horde. As the undead charge you kick them to the ground and smash their heads in. If you take some damage check for [ENERGY DRINKS] near the lounge chairs. Further along you will see a pier to the right and steps to the left. Head down the pier first and kill the large number of Walkers that are surrounding the hut. Inside the hut you will find a [PERSONAL ID] for [ID CARD #002]. Head left and defeat the Walkers as they attempt to get up for easy kills. Ascend the staircase and grab the [PROPANE TANK] on your way up. You can throw this to deal decent damage to most undead and for a new undead that is fast approaching. Defeat the Walkers at the top of the staircase then open the gate. Make sure you have the propane tank still and use it to defeat the Walkers. Open the garage door to encounter a new Infected, the Thug. There is another [PROPANE TANK] in this area, so use both of these to attack the Thug from long range. A close encounter fight with the Thug is possible but it is very strong and deals much larger amounts of damage then you are accustomed to at this point. Head inside after killing the Thug and use the [WORKBENCH] as needed. Go through the open door and kill the Infected. There is a Walker near where the Infected was, blocking access to the bathroom. Make your way around to a Walker banging on the Medical Supplies door then two more Walkers feasting. In this final room you can find a [FACT] about [BANOI HERALD EXCERPT #3]. Return to the Workbench and head up the steps, opening the [HATCH]. There are numerous Walker and Infected, be sure to kick them back if they get too close for comfort. Head inside and use the [RADIO] to signal Sinamoi and end the first Chapter. =============================================================================== ACT I, CHAPTER 2 - BUSY SURVIVING =============================================================================== At the start of this chapter you acquire the Main quest [TO KILL TIME] and two sidequests - [ON THE AIR] and [ASHES TO ASHES]. Speak to the people around the building to acquire a few more quests; [MY PRECIOUS...], [FAMILY MATTERS], [BLOODY HEALTH SERVICE!], and [LAZARUS RISING]. _______ | | |.| | | `-|. |-' |: | |::.|o Kill Time [04.04.00] +--`---'----------------------------------------------------------------------+ |======================================+======================================| | COLLECTIBLE | REWARD | |--------------------------------------|--------------------------------------| | Banoi Herald Excerpt #6 | Cash | | ID Card #014 | | | Tape #02 Meeting the Informant | | |-----------------------------------------------------------------------------| | OBJECTIVES | |-----------------------------------------------------------------------------| | 1. Start by talking to Dominic and Mike to get some guidance. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On the Air [04.04.01] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reward: 1000 Experience Cash Objectives: 1. Talk to Dominic. 2. Go to the lighthouse and bring back a signal amplifier. 3. Talk to James at the top of the Lighthouse. 4. Find a way to get inside the lighthouse warehouse. 5. Take the signal amplifier. 6. Get back to Dominic and give him the signal amplifier. Speak with Dominic then make your way towards the Lighthouse warehouse room. When you enter Darvin will tell you to talk to James. Head up the steps at the Lighthouse (the door at the back) and grab the [RECORDING] on the table for [TAPE #02 MEETING THE INFORMANT]. Return to Jarvic and accept the quest [A RAY OF HOPE]. Once the quest is done you can grab the [SIGNAL AMPLIFIER] from the Lighthouse Warehouse room. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A Ray of Hope [04.04.02] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reward: 1200 Experience Wrench Objectives: 1. Talk to Darvin 2. Find Marcus and fix the transformers powering the lighthouse. 3. Get the transformer back online. 4. Get back to Marcus. 5. Get back to Darvin. Head back outside and into a truck. Follow the road all the way down until the quest marker ends near a set of steps, then get out of the truck. Head up the steps and make a right to find Marcus caged off by four Walkers. Kill them and talk to Marcus, he wants you to get the other transformer back online. Go back to the road and cross over to the other set of bungalows. Move down the steps and kill the numerous Walkers as you march east. You should see the fence in the back corner of the cliff. Once you reach it go down the steps and turn on all the power switches; ignore the alarm that goes off once you breach the room. There is a [WEAPON CHEST] and a [FACT] on [BANOI EXCERPT #6]. From here return to Marcus, just be wary of the Infected that will charge you as you make the return trip. Marcus will give you some cash and wait here, so go back to Darvin and tell him the good news. Darvin lets you in the room now so grab the [SIGNAL AMPLIFIER] and take it back to Dominic. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ashes to Ashes [04.04.03] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reward: 900 Experience Molotov Objectives: 1. Talk to Mike. 2. Bring fuel from the gas station to burn the bodies. 3. Turn on the gas pumps. 4. Fill a fuel canister with gasoline. 5. Bring the gas can to Mike. 6. Talk to Mike. After helping out Dominic, it's time to help out Mike. Grab a vehicle at the Lighthouse and make your way down the hill. After the second gate hook a big right turn to reach the gas station. Make your way inside and speak with Dan who tells you the gas pumps are busted. Grab the [PERSONAL ID] for [ID CARD #014], it's on the desk inside Dan's office but you can reach it. If you really want you can break into the office by busting out the window closest to the wall. Don't miss the [WEAPON CHEST] behind the office on the shelf. Fill the containers with Gas after you flip the switch on the left side of the door. You have to use the first gas pump on the left and when you place the canister you are attacked by Infected. Also, be sure to take the [JUICE PACK] from Dan's office and when you load the items on to the truck use the "USE" key instead of throwing the items on the truck as they will fall off otherwise. Next, simply follow the quest marker and drive until you reach the other gas station. It's a long drive but you can make a few pit stops. Enter the Office Lobby of the hotel and search the sofa in the back for a [PERSONAL ID] that is [ID CARD #030]. Continue to search the side rooms until you get the message from the Security Guard that he's going to meet you. That's your cue to duck into the room you just passed and grab the [FACT] on the table, [BANOI HERALD EXCERPT #16]. Make your way through the cafeteria where there are several Walkers and plenty of [ALCOHOL]. When you meet Mike Davies he promises to help you but only if you find his partner Ken. Jump down to the elevator and exit at the Kitchen. Near the second dead body is a [PERSONAL ID] on the ground, [ID CARD #028]. Open the double doors to the kitchen and tread lightly. You can find [BRAND CHAMPAGNE] in the refrigerators and that equates to decent experience and lots of money if you turn them in to Svetlana for [TIME FOR BOOZE]. If you make your way to the meat room you can find [ID CARD #027] on the floor near a dead body. Follow the map route out of the kitchen and into a larger room. When you enter the smaller room check the cart for [BANOI HERALD EXCERPT #15]. As you enter out into the red hallway a Walker will ambush you. Kill the undead and open the [WEAPON CHEST] before heading down a steamy hallway with Infected. When you finally exit you will be in a large pool area with tons of undead. Using Fury here is recommended so you don't get overwhelmed. When you enter the shower rooms hook a right into the next room over and grab [ID CARD #029] off the top shelf. Go through the double doors and up the steps where more undead await. Kick them off the balcony for easy kills and progress through the snack bar to a door you must bust down. When you find Ken he's in bad shape and needs some morphine. Head through the door to the right and kill the Walkers. Move through the door to the right and kill the Thug. Enter the Medical Room and grab the [MORPHINE] on the gurney then grab [BANOI HERALD EXCERPT #13] from the desk in the corner. Return to Ken with the morphine to find it was pointless. Leave the closet and move down the hall to the right. Open the double doors and kill the Walkers and go into the first office straight ahead. Grab the [BANOI HERALD EXCERPT #14] off the desk and continue down the hallway. As you clear the zombies from the hall you will eventually reach a coffee shop. Directly across from here on a table near the window is a [RECORDING] of [TAPE #03 CHAOS IN THE STREETS]. Continue on your path until you are abruptly interrupted by a Walker bursting through the glass. Make your way down to the corridor where Davies will radio that you must kill the Infected before he opens the door. Oblige him and then enter the Control Room and speak with Mike Davies to update the quest. Enter the server room and grab [ID CARD #026] off the desk as you enter. Run the script on the computer then move to the next room. Kill the Thug here and use the computer in this room. Grab the [MOLOTOV BLUEPRINT] off the ground to the right of the computer then go to the next room. There's quite a number of Walkers in this room, so kill them and reset the last two terminals. Return to Mike who unlocks the doors to the parking garage. Run to the staircase and head down to find a swarm of undead awaiting you, to include a Thug. These undead explode when touched or if they get close enough to you. The key to their arrival is the call of "Help me" in a hoarse voice repeating over and over. The easiest way to take them out is just throw a weapon at them from distance. You can use this tactic to take out large quantities of zombies if the Suicider explodes near them. Wade through the shallow water towards the fire to find Nikolai. Escort him halfway up the hill to the bunkered off area. Kill the large waves of Walkers and Infected as they attack Nikolai, just make sure he doesn't die. Once inside the bunker check behind the luggage for [ID CARD #007] and the [WEAPON CHEST] for weapons. Talk to Nikolai after finishing the quest to start another called [A VOICE FROM ABOVE]. Take the sewers to another bunker where a Suicider is lurking. Kill it and grab the [BROWN SKULL] off the ground. Loot the [METAL BOX] and enter the next room. Climb the ladder to find [BANOI HERALD EXCERPT #09] on the desk. Beware the Infected that rush you from behind, they can tie you up and cause lots of damage fast. Leave this bungalow and move on to bungalow 14 (you will run into it if you follow the quest marker) indicated by a Walker banging on the door. On the backside of this building is a [WEAPON CHEST]. Move across from bungalow 14 heading south and kill another Walker. This next bungalow can be accessed from the road side. Hop in the truck and back it up so you can get in. Ignore the woman for the time being and grab the [NECKLACE] in the back room. Once you reach the objective, William, talk to him to find out that he doesn't care about his wife. Return to Max to complete the quest. Move along the catwalk to the office room where more Punks attack. Search the room and heal if you need then enter another small office to find the [HIGH VOLTAGE MOD]. Use the [WORKBENCH] if you can to upgrade your Pistol. Head into another large room where a few more Punks await. Kill them and head outside where the last wave is waiting. Conveniently, some area near [PROPANE TANKS] which you can shoot to kill the dimwitted foes. Open the door to find Antonio and Frank. Follow Antonio up to the control room. It's a little trek back across the small bridge to this hydrant, guarded by a Thug and Suicider. Shut off this hydrant and move to the fourth one as you start to slowly move back towards the church. This hydrant is guarded by a Ram and quite a few Walkers. Once it's shut off make way to the last hydrant. A Thug and roughly a dozen Walkers guard this fifth hydrant, located conveniently near the church. As you move a little further Joseph will stop again and need you to kill a few more Walkers. There is a shop on the corner of this point that holds the [BANOI HERALD EXCERPT #20] on one of it's shelves. Head out and through the large open bazaar. Many Walkers lurk on the far side so hug the wall and avoid them or they will chase you and you'll be forced to stop. Joseph takes you through the water and to the sewage plant. Continue to fend of Walkers until you reach the door. Grab [ID CARD #046] from the desk then opposite of it, use the control panel to open the floodgates. A scene takes place and the Floater is introduced. Grab the [SHOCK GUN MOD] from the shelf to the right of the [WORKBENCH] and head down to clear out the enemies. The best way to handle Floaters is dodge the spit and get up close. A Blunt weapon with a lot of Force can knock it down and make it easy to kill. Progress down the corridor and at the intersection go right as opposed to left. Make your way to an open chamber and kill the Walkers. There are three pipes that lead to the same room, so take whichever you prefer. Clear this chamber of hostiles and search it for a [WEAPON CHEST]. The room where the [WORKBENCH] is located (on the right as you enter this chamber) has [BANOI HERALD EXCERPT #24] on the table. Head back to the intersection and go left this time, fighting off the huge wave of Walkers and eventually a Floater - be sure to kill it while it's down. Through the gate you will find a Thug, kill it and enter the [WORKBENCH] room here to find a [VENOM MOD] to the left of it. Leave and follow the sewers around a corner where a Floater waits. The first little prison cell has [ID CARD #048] lying in an open suitcase. Continue to an open chamber where a Suicider and an [EXPLOSIVE BARREL] are located. Enter the [WORKBENCH ROOM] and snag [ID CARD #047] off the counter. On the way out grab the [MEDIUM MEDKIT] then follow the quest marker. Another Suicider lurks at the intersection so be careful. Head back down to the guard who won't let you through unless you do his quest [GUARD ON DUTY]. Guard on Duty [04.21.01] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Reward: 1500 Experience Objectives: 1. Talk to the guard. 2. Bring alcohol to the guard. Head upstairs and grab a bottle of [ALCOHOL] then return to the guard to gain access to the sewers. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------+ With that behind you, head through to the sewers. Go down the ramp and through the door to an area with toxic water - it hurts so don't tread in it. Move across the area to the ladder and climb up to find [ID CARD #049] on the toolbox next a not-so-dead Walker. Drop down and go through the door to find a Suicider and some Walkers. Continue through another door and yet another Suicider. In the large open chamber are crazed Infected. Kill them and make your way out of the sewers. Make your way through the door and turn off the [STEAM VALVE]. Kill the Infected and prepare for the Floater and Walkers around the corner. To the left of here is a [WORKBENCH] room that has a [BARBED WIRE MOD] inside as well as a [WEAPON CHEST]. Leave here and progress to the steps - be sure to check underneath them to find the [ORANGE SKULL] and a [WEAPON CHEST]. Enter the office at the top of the steps on the left and find [ID CARD #053] on the desk. Enter the market and prepare for a fight with some Punks. Search the wall for a large area of teddy bears and place the Green Skull near one of them (it will be indicated with the "USE" key) to obtain [DEVELOPER'S NO.2 CRAFT]. Near the check out lines is a cubicle that has [ID CARD #054], don't overlook it. Follow the quest marker and kill the Punks. As you make your way through the kitchen grab the [BANOI HERALD EXCERPT #27] off the table in the back. Go through the control room and grab the [BANOI HERALD EXCERPT #26] on the shelf. Head into the cafeteria where a Ram charges you. In the next room a group of survivors guides you to the Punks holed up in the back room. Clear out the goonies and search near the exit marker for a [WEAPON CHEST] in the room to the left and a [STRIKER GUN MOD] behind the pallet jack on some crates. In the large room with the Floater and a ladder just before you return to the City Hall, climb the ladder and go through the door. In the back corner place the Orange Skull to receive the [DEVELOPER'S NO.1 CRAFT]. Once in the City Hall ascend the steps. You can find [ID CARD #051] lying on the ground near the lockers on the second floor. Move around the second floor to another staircase where Infected will attack. When you break open the door on the next floor a Suicider begins to explode just feet away, be sure to back out. Turn right and enter the office in the back of this long room to find [ID CARD #052] and a [WEAPON CHEST]. Big Daddy, Where Are You? [04.22.01] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Reward: 1500 Experience Objectives: 1. Obtain a universal key from the Mayor. Enter the office and take a quick left to reach the balcony. Make your way to the Mayor's Office where you meet Infected Todd, a Thug. Kill him and grab the [MAYOR'S UNIVERSAL KEY] then the [MAGIC WAND MOD] on his desk. This will complete the subquest [BIG DADDY, WHERE ARE YOU?]. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Open the safe underneath the desk to find [DIAMONDS]. Leave the room and head downstairs to the middle of the courtyard. In the very middle is an overturned table with the [PRIDE SHOTGUN MOD]. Return to the staircase and into a room with a Thug and a [WORKBENCH]. On the cardboard next to the workbench you can spot [ID CARD #050]. Head through the next room to reach the Sewers. Move past the Thug and kill the Floater in the next room. Climb the ladder and move through the door. Continue past the Walkers and the Suicider at the end of this corridor. There is another Suicider behind the fenced door. If you continue straight instead of following the quest marker you can find a [WEAPON CHEST]. You should not have any trouble making it through here, the one obstacle in the way is a Floater. When you are almost to the door out you will cross a room with three toxic barrels and most likely a Floater. Climb the ladder here to find a [WEAPON CHEST] and the [PURPLE SKULL]. Once you reach the Police Station Parking Lot make your way towards the staircase. There is a car nearby with a dead officer and a [RECORDING] of [TAPE #06 A CITY IN RUINS]. Go upstairs to the first floor and enter the Security Room. Kill the Thug and use the [WORKBENCH] if you need. There is a [PISTOL AMMO BLUEPRINT] on the desk to the left of the Workbench and a [WEAPON CHEST] to the right. Head out and through the gate to find the prison cells. Go down the first hall on the right and into the last cell to find [ID CARD #056] on the ground. You can see a questgiver marker on the minimap, that's Reza and he gives the sidequest [IMPRISONED FOR LIFE] and you should take the time to do it right now. Talk to Reza. Head back to the Security Room and throw the switch to open the cells. It is highly recommended that you complete this short quest and grab the numerous other ones inside. Continue to the south shop where you must break the door to enter. Get inside the Warehouse You can start this quest by being near the warehouse. You will come across it during One Foot in the Grave or Last Chance on the Wall. Clear out the zombies and enter the warehouse to complete the quest and gain access to even more quests. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Uninvited Guests [04.29.03] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reward: 1500 Experience Battle Double Blade Objectives: 1. Get into Alicia's house. 2. Kill all of the undead in Alicia's house. NOTE: Do not complete this quest unless you have the Purple Skull and have placed on the altar in this building. Do not complete this quest if you have not grabbed the Blue Skull from inside this building. Once the quest is complete you no longer have access to this building and thus cannot obtain the Blue Skull nor place the Purple Skull on it's altar. Enter the abandoned house and clear out the undead in the large room. Head up the steps to find more Walkers and a Thug. The next room has three more Walkers banging on a door, kill them and head left into the kitchen. Place the Purple Skull on the lit burner to get [DEVELOPER'S NO. 4 CRAFT]. In the room across from the kitchen is the [BLUE SKULL], located behind a glass cabinet in the corner. Enter the middle room and take the [GLAZED MOD] from the bed then talk to Alicia. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In Cold Blood [04.29.04] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reward: 1500 Experience Heavy Pistol Objectives: 1. Put Mugambe's wife and daughter out of their misery. 2. Talk to Mugambe. Follow the quest marker through the Supermarket District and through the bar area. As you pass the bar a questgiver should show on the minimap. Head over to Stan Dart and agree to help him to start [GRASP ALL, LOSE ALL]. Once you make it to the abandoned apartment at the southwest of town begin killing the undead as you progress to the locked door. Break it down and go left into the bathroom to find [BANOI HERALD EXCERPT #23] on the counter. In the other room, kill Mugambe's Wife and Daughter and check the fridge for some [BRAND CHAMPAGNE]. Get rid of the looters in Stan's house. 2. Talk to Stan. THis quest can be found near the abandoned house during In Cold Blood. Talk to Stan Dirt then head inside. Kill the Punks as you make your way upstairs, they are good at dodging melee attacks so either throw or shoot them to death. At the end of the hall upstairs you have to break down the door, two Punks will rush and melee you while the other three shoot. Back out of the room and pick them off 1-2 at a time for an easier fight. In the side rooms you can find a [WEAPON CHEST], in the middle room just as you enter you can find [ID CARD #059] on a short table. Search the electric shop for a transformer and some cable for Carl. 2. Return to Carl with the parts. Talk to Carl at the Warehouse to start this quest. In the same vacinity as In Cold Blood and Grasp All, Lose All you will find the electric shop. Simply break down the door, kill the Walker and grab the [ELECTRONIC PART] and [WIRE]. Behind the counter on the shelf you can find the [RECORDING] of [TAPE #05 MESSAGE FOR THE FAMILY]. Head back to Carl to finish the quest. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bury the Dead [04.29.07] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reward: 3000 Experience Gabriel's Sledgehammer Objectives: 1. Clear the cemetery of all the walking dead. 2. Talk to Mother Helen. This quest starts at Mother Helen once you've cleared all of her main quests. Head out to the cemetery and start wailing on the undead. As you clear sections of the cemetery you will be guided to the other parts. There are three Thugs in total and the last one is larger then a normal Thug. Return the Helen for a great weapon in [GABRIEL'S SLEDGEHAMMER]. Hang the posters in different spots in the town. This quest starts from Howard Craigson in the church. Follow the quest marker to the first poster which is infront of the Warehouse. Continue south to the second poster where you can hang it next to a truck. Hop over the truck and go towards the questgiver, Nick, just a bit further south. Grab [ID CARD #036] from between the gas cans and water jugs then talk to Nick to start the quest [A NEW BROOM SWEEPS CLEAN], It is recommended you do this quest and the subsequent quests afterwards at this time. The fourth location is nearby and just down the alley, but the fifth and final one is a nice trek. Kill him and search the bathroom for [ID CARD #058] then give Nick the news after opening the barricaded door. You now have three more quests available, [SPY GAME], [FAST AID], and [PAPERWORK], but Spy Game can't be completed until you reach the Jungle of Act III. Bring the medicine to Lucas. You need to go to the pharmacy down the street. You've been here if you've done One Foot in the Grave, so make the trek and grab [LUCAS'S MEDICINE] off the shelf in the back room. If you fast travel to the Warehouse it makes the trip a bit shorter and safer. Find Bill at the police station. 2. DOwnload the data from the Police Chief's computer. 3. Deliver the data to Patrick. Accept this from Patrick at the Square. Head to the Police Station and go to the prison cells where you can find the [RADIO]. From here your objectives change so head up to the second floor. Go to the police station and find the detective's office where the file should be. 2. Search the room and find the file. 3. Return to Tim. You can do this quest while doing the quest [PAPERWORK] or vice versa. In the last office on the top floor you can find the files. There is a new door that's open, allowing access to the storage room where the [RIFLE AMMO BLUEPRINT] is sitting on the center cabinets. [TIM'S FILES] are in the corner cubicle on the table in the last office. Beware the Punks who defend this area to the death. Move to the location of the second speaker and climb to the roof. When you see the second speaker look for a ladder leading down to the mechanism to fix the speaker, and a [WEAPON CHEST]. Climb back up and stay on the roof to find the third speaker guarded by a Thug. Fix the speaker and loot the nearby [WEAPON CHEST]. The last speaker requires you to jump down and maneuver to it. This one is guarded by Punks (on the ground) and two Suiciders. There is also a [WEAPON CHEST] in the vacinity. Find and activate the fourth speaker. 6. Return to Garett Grant. After finishing the first quest, this one becomes available. Leave the radio station and follow the quest route and climb to the roof. On the right side you can see a broken pathway, you need to jump across it. Your reward for reaching the first speaker is a [WEAPON CHEST] and [ID CARD #037] found on the table. Drop down and climb up the ladder on the waterside and move along the tops of the buildings. The second speaker is hidden behind a caged area, but you can reach it by going on the wooden overhang. Behind this speaker you can find a [WEAPON CHEST]. Head back down the shoreline, moving towards Nick's Abandoned House. The control for the speaker is on the ground level behind a caged in area. Move the crates near wooden scaffolding to access this area and find a [WEAPON CHEST]. The fourth and final speaker is guarded by a Thug. Kill it and climb the boxes a little ways from it and then walk the concrete fence over to it. If you cross the planks nearby you can initiate the quest [CAT ON THE ROOF] which requires you to save a man being attacked - you can see the white skulls on your minimap. Make your way to the third and final speaker which is easily found at the top of the ladder at the end of the quest marker. The easiest way to kill them is shoot from a distance but since they charge, just kick them back and attack. Repeat this process as the Butcher nears you each time to safely dispatch this foe. Past this village and through the water you will find a bridge. Cross it and take a right to find a creek and a handful of Punks. There are two [WEAPON CHESTS] in this area as well as the [WEAPONS BOX] on the back of the pickup. Cross the creek with the box when it's safe and load it into the red truck. The path will take a more adventurous route once you reach the small bridge and river. Turn right and kill the undead near the camper where you can find a [WEAPON CHEST]. Cut through the river and back on the road, past the guard tower to reach the camp. In the guard tower you can find a [WEAPON CHEST]. Afran's Soldiers will start to attack you at this point. Pick them off and move to the right and ascend the ladder. There is a mounted gun here that you can use to clean up at this point. More soldiers appear further in the camp, but there is plenty of cover and you can even sneak into melee range. The first building on the left side houses [BANOI HERALD EXCERPT #32] on a table, it is guarded. Inside the bus where two soldiers are taking pop shots at you is [ID CARD #065]. The last building on the left requires that you break down the door. Unfortunately, you still have to move deeper into the village. Head out the back door and kill a few more soldiers. You eventually end up on the series of piers and small huts. There are plenty of [PROPANE TANKS] to fire at to quickly remove any hostility, so use them to your advantage as well as the carefully placed cover as you progress to Afran and a cutscene. After the cutscene you can blow up the [EXPLOSIVE BARREL] near the top floor to wipe out a few soldiers and damage Afran. Move to the left and grab three [GRENADES] and check the [WEAPON CHEST]. Use these grenades to weaken Afran from a distance. Once the soldiers outside are killed, break down the door into this final building. There is a [WEAPON CHEST] on the left before you climb the steps and the [PHOENIX MOD] on the table infront of the boat. Use the new fuse to restore power. 3. Get back to the laboratory and talk with Will. Leave the Lab and circle around to the back. There is an inaccessible area to the right and likely a Floater to the left. Luckily, there are explosives in the white truck and behind the Floater. Check to the left here to find a [WEAPON CHEST] then approach the gate and Will opens it up. There is normally a Butcher here, so take caution. As you approach the Warehouse you will be attacked by another Butcher from the far side. Break into the building and take out the Ram. You can find [TAPE #08 SOMETHING BIG COMING] on the desk and a [SAFE] underneath. Break into the back room and grab the [FUSE] off the table. Here you will start the quest [DANSE MACABRE], but continue driving down the twisting off-road until you come to a dead end and the main quest updates. Exit the Jeep and take the beaten path to the left, moving through the ravine until you reach the arena. Hop down and prepare for a fight against multiple Infected. The first wave is two Infected, one after another. The second wave is six Infected that come in waves of two. The third wave is 10 Infected that have status effects, like Poison and Fire. The final wave is a large Infected that has the strength of a Thug and two normal Infected. use Fury to quickly take this fearsome foe down then loot the [BLOOD SAMPLE FROM A NATIVE]. Acquire the samples from infected's muscle tissue and bring them to the lab. After accepting this quest head up the hill to the scientists bungalow and slaughter everything in sight, to include a Floater. Enter the building to find two Walkers that will give you the [TISSUE SAMPLE FROM JOHN] and the [TISSUE SAMPLE FROM NICK]. Check the building for [ID CARD #077], found on the computer desk and [BANOI HERALD EXCERPT #34] found on a desk at the head of the bed in the back room. There is also a [SAFE] located underneath the TV set, surely holding a large sum of cash. Return to the Scientist with both samples to complete this quest. Substance of Matter [04.38.02] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Reward: 8500 Experience Deathstalker Mod Objectives: 1. Carry a jerrycan of chemicals from the warehouse to the lab. Accept this quest from Frank, across the hall from the Scientist. Leave the Lab and hook a right through the gate leading to the back. There is a Floater near the objective, so take caution. Near the Floater you will find a [WEAPON CHEST] and stacked luggage leading through the fence. Before going here take the steps down the metal walkway to find [ID CARD #075] halfway down between some dead lab workers. Inside the Warehouse you can find [ID CARD #076] on the table as you enter. There are several Walkers guarding the cannister you need to obtain, take them out however you please. It's of note that there are several [MOLOTOVS] around the room as well as a [WEAPON CHEST]. Open the gate and grab the cannister, then make your extremely slow trek back to Frank and place the chemicals. You will be ambushed on three different occassions near groups of boulders. The first is normally a Thug, the second is a group of Walkers, and the final ambush consists of both types. You eventually make your way to the boat and after some short dialogue you can travel to the catacombs. Follow Ope once you land to a small bridge. Here you must battle a Floater and some Walkers before progressing. When you reach Ope's Village you will be thrust into a tough fight against numerous Infected, Walkers, and a Thug, even though Ope hopes to avoid the fight. Take out the Infected and then the Walkers before dealing with the slow moving Thug. At the exit of the village is a Suicider, be sure to kill it from range. As you ascend the hill Ope will come to a halt, expect Infected to rush you at close range from the forest. At the top of the hill there are Walkers and a Thug waiting for you. Further along the path is a bridge in the canopy where Infected will rush you head on. As you continue to climb through the rocks you will come to a drawbridge that needs to be lowered. Take the lower path and jump across, climb the ladder, and throw the lever to let Ope through. When you reach the top and enter the catacombs a scene takes place. Afterwards, follow Yerema and only only stop to kill the Infected that continually charge after you. When you reach the overhang of the village you have to rush down and help Mowen before he bites the big one. Take out the small fry first then focus on the Floater, again leaving the Thug for last. Climb up and kill the Walker in waiting then leap across to the front. There are two [WEAPON CHESTS] and [MOWEN'S PACKAGE] inside. Jump down and head to the gas station where you will find several canisters already filled with gasoline. There is minor resistance in the form of Infected and walkers, just kill them and load up the truck. You should be able to drive within 20 meters of the boat, practically right up to the dock.
