Silpheed: The Lost Planet is a shooter type game for Play Station 2. You control an
attack aircraft (ironically called a Silpheed) that must attack and destroy alien
hostiles. I haven't seen this type of shooter for a long time, since Space Mega
Force for SNES actually, but it is a welcome addition to any Playstation 2 game
library. This is one challenging game at first, but after you find good weapon
combinations it isn't that bad. I hope this guide helps you in the world of Silpheed
and leads you in the path of victory!

More than five centuries have passed since mankind's first journey into space.
Although there has been civil war and unrest, mankind lives in prosperity. The
planet Solont, located near the edge of the galaxy is about to be visited by an
unknown life-form. 31 years after the Zakarite civil war,
Mankind is about to confront a new threat. The future of the human race now rests in
the hands of the Silpheed Squadron, made up of the most skilled starfighter pilots
in the Federation of Planetary Space Forces (FPSF). Every pilot in this group of
spaces aces flies a Silpheed Type J, which boasts a defensive shield and two weapon
racks for incomparability of flexibility and power.

---------------------
 First Stage Weapons
---------------------

Vulcan: This is one of the 3 starting weapons. It shoots a weak line of bullets
straight forward. This is your worst weapon.

Vvulcan: Another of the starting weapons. It shoots weak bullets in a "V" form. It
is quite useful even in the later stages.

OpticsLaser: The last of the 3 starting weapons. It shoots a long thin beam which
can kill several minor enemies at a time, or damage a big one. It is a powerful
weapon, and is still used at the end of the game.

----------------------
 Second Stage Weapons
----------------------

Napalm Bomb: The napalm bomb is useless in the beginning but VERY useful in the end.
Your ship shoots napalm bombs in a "Y" pattern that surrounds your ship. It is very
powerful and takes out most enemies very quickly. Napalm works well with the
OpticsLaser.

7typebeam: I didn't use this weapon once in completing the game. The 7type beam
shoots bullets that resemble the Vulcan, but the 7type beam is controlled by the
movement of your ship. You move left, the beam moves left, you move right, the beam
moves right. It is powerful, but too hard to control.

FalconWiper: In the hands on an expert this is a very useful weapon. If you press
down the beam attacks straight ahead, if you press back it moves and attacks what is
at your side (the side depends on which side the FalconWiper is placed). It lacks
range but has power.

---------------------
 Third Stage Weapons
---------------------

Starbow: This weapon is basically the same as the Vulcan except much more powerful.

Plasma Ball: The plasma ball is very powerful, but travels very slowly and has a
slow firing rate. A large ball of plasma is shot at your opponent when fired. Not
recommended.

Thunder Arrow: Press square and thunder balls appear at your side, press square
again to fire. Waiting longer to fire results in more thunder balls appearing at
your side (4 max. per side).

-Experiment with weapon combinations the ones I say in the walkthrough are the ones
I prefer to use, you may find something better

-Focus more on dodging bullets than hitting the enemies with your fire. The screen
is almost always full so chances are you're hitting something without looking

-Blue bullets can be destroyed with your own bullets!

-If you don't like the weapons you started with you can change them at the refuel.
