  + First one ends at the Veniccio Station beside the Save Point.
    - The Bridge is out (if you look at the area in front of the train, the
      railroad tracks across the bridge are curled up).
  + When Max and Monica go down the stairs from the Station, they walk into
    Veniccio (georama field).
    - The second video ends with them standing in front of Pau's cave.
    - Some distance to the left of his Cave is the beach SAVE Point.

> There are now two choices on the World Map for this area:
   G  Veniccio
   S  Veniccio Station  

> If you choose 'Veniccio' from else where you arrive at the top of a series of
  wooden ramps (and at the bottom of the stairs from the station).
  + Walk down the wooden ramps to the lowest 'floor':
    - This is the base for developing the origin point of the Luna Lab.
  + Move to where the Carpenterion Logo appears, then press [Select] to get the
    'whirlwind' logo.
    - You can use this to move close to Pau's cave.
    - And you can move a little closer to the SAVE Point past his Cave's entrance.
      # There's a 'bend' where sand and ocean meet and where waves wash in and out.
      # Use the logo and press [X] there to get to the closest point to the Ocean's
        Roar Cave (without having to wade very slowly through the water).

> Before going into Pau's Cave, check the time:
  + Depending on the time you arrive, there are two SCOOPS.
    - Both Scoops are 'Whenever the Time is Right'.

> You can take this shot between about 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.
  + Take a photo of the sunset across the water.
    - Focus on the distant skyline when sunset colors show and the Sun is sinking
      below the horizon.
    - The orange lightbulb beside the picture in the viewfinder shows you have the
      Scoop.
  + If the time isn't right, make the time to get this (go do something else but
    watch the time).

> Take it between midnight (12:00 a.m.) and about 3:30 a.m.

> Go to the cave on the opposite side of the bay from Pau's cave.
  + You have to wade through the water.
    - If you cross as close as you can get to the wooden pier, you have less
      wading to do.
  + It's the cave with a palm tree behind a rock at the entrance.
  + Go on the RIGHT-hand side and into the cave as far as you can.
    - On the left side of the cave is a big grey rock. 
    - Move toward the rock to about half-way across the cave.
      # Focus just slightly to the RIGHT of the rock and ZOOM IN (using the right
        Analog stick).
      # Press [Square] and you should see a ghostly shape.
        * If necessary, shift the viewfinder until it is centered on the ghostly
          shape.
      # An orange lightbulb and the ringing sound will signal you have the photo.

**   CHAPTER 3 REVIEW  **

> In Chapter 3: "The Sage who Became a Star", you built the Georama of Balance
  Valley.
  + This restored the future Starlight Temple.

> You also had to rescue Lin and restore her memories.
  + While Lin was in the party, Monica was able to Build up her Armbands.
    - I recommended you get four armbands and build them with specific magic power:
      # Athena's Armlet (Fire).
      # Destruction Brassard (Lightning).
      # Spirit Brassard (Cyclone).
      # Moon Armlet (Chill).
 + You should continue to Level up these armbands and add to the Smash Attribute
   to increase damage.
   - Alternate between the armbands so all are increased to about the weapon+15
     levels before you finish the Mt. Gundor Chapter (5).
   - This is important, even though you cannot actually build up to the next
     weapon because of each armband needing to defeat certain monsters.

> It was recommended that you get the Reptile Monster Badge (Wind Gemron).
  + And build it to at least the first Evolution at Level 26 (Ice Gemron).
    - Continue to build this badge whenever possible.
  + If you don't have it, refer to WALKTHROUGH 3: BALANCE VALLEY.
    - Search (Ctrl+F) for 'Wind Gemron' which takes you to 'Floor 4'.
      # The information is at the end of the 'Final Advice' for Floor 4.
      # The section is titled: 'MONSTER TRANSFORMATIONS'.

> Work on these build ups through Chapters 4 (Ocean's Roar Caves) and 5 (Mt.
  Gundor).
  + Even though you cannot do the actual Build-Up until the listed monsters are
    defeated:
    - You can increase the stats in preparation.
    - It isn't necessary to add the magic attributes (Fire, Chill, Lightning, and
      Cyclone, unless required for the specific weapon.
    - But you can add the helpful attributes of Smash to at least 90 and, Beast,
      Exorcism and Scale to at least 45 (but better 90).
  + A Smash value of at least 90 makes the weapon (any weapon) more powerful.

> When using Synthesis Points, don't forget:
  + Jewels should be synthesized to appropriate weapons.
    - Press [X] on the Jewel and use Status to find out what attributes it will
      raise.
    - When synthesized the Jewel adds MORE than one attribute but it only requires
      one Synthesis Point.

> In each of the following Build-Ups, there is one more Build-Up (not discussed
  until the beginning of Chapter 7).
  - The Build-Up requires the defeat of monsters the are found in Chapter 7.

> As you look at Pau's cave, to the left and some way down the beach is the
  SAVE Point.
  + Beyond the SAVE Point is the dungeon for this Chapter.
  + The Dungeon is Ocean's Roar Cave.
    - The first few of the dungeon floors have two parts.
      # The first part is a beach-like area underneath the cliffs.
        * This is where you can fish.
      # The second part (and there may be one or two entrances) is the cave area.
  + The gate key is the 'Luna Stone' an oval-shaped jewel with an aqua-colored
    glow.
    - The gate is a huge greenish colored wheel with a hole in it.
    - The Luna Stone fits into the hole, causing the gate to rotate and open.
  + In some of the Floors of this dungeon is a 'locked room'.
    - It is a barrier with a very large Clam Shell which, while open, causes water
      to flow to form the barrier.
    - The key is a 'Luna Stone Piece'.
      # The piece is a jagged chunk with the aqua glow.
      # Using it closes the Clam-Shell and stops the flow.

> Before you can go into the Dungeon, you have to talk to Pau.
  + Go into his cave.

  + Max and Monica walk into the cave and hear an odd sound: "Paaaa-oh!'
    - They hear someone talking: "I said not to move it!!"
    - They see a large blue beast who has a wound on its shoulder.
    - A rabbit-like creature tends the beast and says: "I'm a bit busy right now."
  + Monica recognizes the beast as a Shigura and that is still a child.
    - The creature, Pau, replies that he calls him Shingala.
    - Pau tells how he found Shingala lost.
      # The Shigura come every year to live on the seashore for a while.
      # This one must have been split up from the tribe.
      # Yesterday, Shingala was injured when he slipped from the cliff.
      # Pau didn't think human medicine would be any good.
  + When Pau realizes that the ointment isn't working, he asks Max and Monica to
    watch Shingala.
    - He intends to go to the place where the Shigura gather to see if he can get
      something better.
    - All they have to do is 'Watch him!'
    - Monica says: "How come we get stuck babysitting some sea dragon?"
  + Unfortunately, when Max touches him, Shingala is scared.
    - Max tries to hold him, but Shingala runs for it, calling for 'Paaaa-oh'.
    - They see him disappear around the corner past the SAVE Point.
  + They follow him and find the opening to the Ocean's Roar Cave (ORC in this
    Walkthrough) beside the SAVE Point.

> This is a ONE-TIME-ONLY SCOOP.

> To take the Scoop of Shingala while he is controlled by the strange device:
  + Get as far away as possible,.
    - Focus on him and use the [Right Analog] to zoom in.
    - Take the photo as Shingala sprays mist toward you.

 BOSS FIGHT: Shingala

  + Wait for Shingala to move toward you.
    - You may have to lure him closer.
    - Run around him to stand close to the Electrified fish.
    - Turn and face him.
    - One shot from the Gun should do it, but he may repeat his attacks before
      opening his mouth.

  + DON'T pick up the electrified fish until Shingala opens his mouth.
    - Once picked up, you can do nothing but throw it.
    - As soon as Shingala opens his mouth, LOCK ON.

  + Pick up and throw the Electric Worm at his mouth.
    - If you miss, wait a moment and you'll be able to see the yellow glow.
    - You'll have to hit him again to get him to open his mouth.
    - Pick it up and try again.
    - But be careful of Shingala's HP.


> VIDEO:
  + Once Shingala has swallowed the Worm, electrical lightning shudders all around
    his head.
  + Pau comes rushing in.
    - The device falls off Shingala's head and he collapses muttering "Paaa-oh."
    - Pau grabs his head.
    - Monica shouts: "It worked."
    - Max and Monica run forward, with Max asking if Shingala is alright.
  + Pau says that the Shigura is really exhausted.

> Dr. Nobb says the lab already has one of those.
  + Shigura are very important creatures.
    - They come to this shore once a year, bringing Luna Stones with them.
    - The stone has the ability to rapidly increase human brain power.
    - That's why they developed the Shigura translation device.
  + Dr. Nobb orders a lab worker to get the 'Shell Talkie'.
    - They'll be able to use it to communicate with Shigura with a high degree of
      intelligence (not the children for example).

  + To check the current abilities of you fish:
    - Place them in the tank.
    - Press [Triangle] for the menu.

  + By feeding the fish particular items, attributes are increased by one point.

    - They will butt up against each other.

      # You want to strengthen them NOT kill them.

> BREEDING BETTER FISH:
  + Place two fish in the Breeding Tank.
    - One male, one female (use a carrot if you have, for example, only males).
    - Two become one.
    - If you have two of the same kinds of fish, the result will be the same kind
      of fish.
  + Generally the resulting parameters are (approximately) the average between the
    parent fish.
    - Before you can breed the result, you must feed that fish four or five times.
    - Exiting from the Item Bag will USUALLY allow you to feed the same fish again.

> I haven't figured out all the breeding patterns yet, but I do know:

  + Gobblers, Baku Baku, Piccoly, and Niler are fairly easy to catch.

> You can only race fish that are in the REC tank.
  + Build them up as described above.
  + Go talk to Mr. Owl in the Finny Frenzy Tent.

> Select a fish:
  + Choose among those displayed by Mr. Owl from those in your Aquarium's 'Rec
    Tank'.
    - You choose the class you want them in (Beginner, Junior, Senior, Master).
   AND
    - You choose the fish (only those who meet the requirements are offered for
      your choice).
  + If the fish wins one class, you can only enter that one in the next higher
    class after that.
  + However, once a fish wins in the Master Class, you can enter it in the Master
    Class as many times as you want.

> Choose a Tank (there are six around the walls) for the final pre-race
  preparation.
  + The water in each tank is slightly different and will have a different effect
    on your fish.
  + Mr. Owl says:
    - If you put it in a tank that enhances its abilities, you may get some
      surprisingly good results.
    - When pre-race preparations are finished, it is time to race.
    - Stand by and cheer it on.

> Race has two heats (first, second, finals)
  + Your fish MUST be first in first heat.
  + Your fish can be EITHER second or first in the second heat.
  + And first, second or third in the finals: wins a prize.

      # If it dives it will come up under her feet and knock Monica over.

    and see a large Shigura a little way away.
    - Max asks which Shigura they should talk with, but Monica doesn't know.
    - "Let's try them all, one-by-one." She says.
  + There are large grey Shigura and small Blue ones.

> Talk to each one (find the red Exclamation Point).
  + The one nearest the Cave exit welcomes them to the Shigura Village.
  + Against the cliff, the littlest one says: "Erraaah".
  + The big one next to it says that this is where they rest, "So please, do keep
    it down."
  + The next big one says they are a migrating race and come here every year.
  + The next two little ones simple roar.
  + The next big one says that the next one (which is a different color) is the

 FIGHT STRATEGY

> Your chance to get Dr. Jaming's craft (and him with it) is when the Shigura drop
  their heads.
  + You have to use the Shigura's heads to hit the craft.
    - Jaming's HP gauge is near the bottom left of the screen.
  + You have to keep circling to keep Jaming in view and decide which Shigura
    he will pass next.
    - Using Sword or Wrench, hit that Shigura.
    - The trick is to hit the correct Shigura head to make it snap up and hit Dr.
      Jaming's small craft.
    - If you hit the wrong head, it will miss (and then they are ready to attack
      you again).
  + Repeat until Dr. Jaming is defeated.

> WATCH HP AND HEAL SOONER THAN TOO LATE!!


> VIDEO:
  + Jaming can't believe they actually beat him.
    - His Craft tips him out onto the circle of sand and the Shigura are released.
    - One of them bends down and starts nudging Jaming's face with its tongue.
  + Focus retreats so you can see the whole of the circle.
    - Then you see Gaspard on the Battleship.
      # He yells: "You're all worthless."
      # He turns and tell the soldiers: "Withdraw!" and the Battleship disappears
        beyond another island.
  + Focus retreats to bring Max and Monica into view.
    - They turn as a voice says: "Thank you for saving us."
    - It is Baru and he asks: "Who were those people?"
  + Monica tells him they are the dark forces sent by Emperor Griffon.
    - He and his henchmen are trying to undo history.
    - She says: "I don't know what he's after exactly. But I do know that if we
      don't stop him, our whole world will be destroyed."
  + The Elder thinks he's getting old because he should have known what was going
    on.
  + Just then Pau turns up with Shingala.
    - The elder says:"So you're the one who rescued our tribe member?"
    - Pau is embarrassed and claims: "It's nothing really."
  + The Elder explains that Shingala's mother was lost on this trip.
    - An expedition of this kind is never easy.
    - Many are lost along the way, and this child's mother was one of them.
    - The elder thinks that the child followed Pau as his only parent.
      # Shingala leans his head down to rub against Pau.

  + The Elder stands on the sand with Shingala beside him.
    - Our tribe must return South now.
    - Max: "So this is goodbye?"
  + The Elder thanks them again and wishes them good fortune in their travels.
    - The Shigura enter the water but Shingala goes to Pau who tells him to take
      good care of himself.
    - Pau: "I know you'll grow up to be a great Shigura."
    - Shingala says "Naaaaoooo!" And Pau says it's hard for me to say goodbye too."
    - Then Pau runs and cries: "Waaaaaoooooooo!!"
    - Pau: "I know you'll come back some day. I'll be waiting for you!"
  + And the Shingala swim into the sunset.

> Max resumes his letter.
  + "Every year from that day, Shingala continued to bring Luna Stones to this
     shore.
  + Shingala never forgot the days he spent with Pau.
    - Twenty years later Shingala was the new Shigura Elder.
      # They brought the biggest load of Luna Stones ever.

      # He invented 'Aeroharmonics' Technology enabling things to fly by sound.
      # He's passed away, but his grandson was able to put that technology
        together with his own space-time technology to create Ixion.
  + Monica comments that on the world she came from Aeroharmonics was never
    perfected!
    - The travels of Monica and Max must be creating a new history!
    - Max suggests that the things they are doing may be adding new time flows
      to history.
      # Even though things have been different, maybe they are meant to be the real
        world history.
      # Maybe Griffon himself is playing a necessary part in creating a new
        complete world history.
    - Monica is upset: "Griffon...?! Necessary...?! You can't be serious!"

  + A blue column flows down to the floor and a hologram of Elena appears in it.
    "Doctor! This is Elena!
     We're fighting Griffon's main army over here.
     If it continues like this, Griffon will probably attack the Luna Lab too.
     Be careful."
  + Max says: "Mother!"
    - Elena: "Is that... Is that Max?"
    - Dr. Nobb: "You mean this boy is Elena's...?"
    - Monica: "That's right. Max is Elena's son."
    - Elena: "I'll bet your father never told you what happened to me."
    - Max: "That's right, but why?"
    - Elena: "...I'll tell you why I couldn't go on living with you. But to explain
              that, I need to explain what's going on in this world now."

  + It seems that Elena, like Monica, comes from Max's future; Elena's world was
    greatly changed by Emperor Griffon.
    - People of our time created a rebel force to fight him.
    - Griffon got one of the Atlamillia Stones that can be used to move the earth
      and control time.

    - The Moon stone belonged to King Raybrandt and we thought we could get it but
      the blue stone wouldn't accept any of us as his owner.
    - We tried to protect Raybrandt, but Griffon was devious.
    - However the blue stone refused to accept Griffon instead choosing Raybrandt's
      daughter Monica.
    - We looked for the Earth Stone but it didn't exist in our time.
  + According to the Great Sage, Crest's prophecy, the stone existed 115 years in
    the past.
    - It's owner was a young boy called Gerald.
    - We knew Griffon would travel back to Gerald's time to try and get the stone.
    - Elena went back to Gerald's time to protect him; but she fell in love with
      him.
    - "Then Max, you were born. The first 5 years of your life went by in a flash.
       I had to return to my time because the war was intensifying.
       I said goodbye to you and Gerald and I haven't been able to see you since.

    - Monica: That's right. And we were chosen by the Atlamillia.
    - Max:    But my father gave me the stone...
    - Monica: Not exactly. Your father couldn't touch the stone anymore.
              He found you could play with it without effect.
              The Atlamillia chose you, so Gerald let you have it.
    - Elena:  I think the Atlamillia have reasons for who they choose. There's
              probably a reason why Griffon was chosen.
    - Max:    A reason why he was chosen? Like what?
    - Elena:  I don't know. But the stones are guiding people for the sake of
              something great. (Whispers) I can just feel it.
